1. General Information
1.1 Introduction
VOLTI Charging Station (MODEL NAME HERE) is an Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment that delivers
energy to electric vehicles in the form of Alternative Current (AC).
VOLTI Charging Station is designed for charging electric vehicles with TYPE 2 inlet (European standard
charging plug/inlet type). VOLTI Charging Station is intended for indoor and outdoor use.
Please refer to the technical product specification (3.2 Product specifications) to ensure fit with the
intended installation point power grid.
This VOLTI Charging Station is only intended to be used with parts, accessories supplied by the original
manufacturer, VOLTI, or with accessories that obliges with the national and local law.
This VOLTI Charging Station must be hard wired according to this manual, and applicable national
regulations.
⚠DANGER
Using VOLTI Charging Station in any other way than explained in the related
documents may cause damage to property, injury and even death.
USE VOLTI CHARGING STATION ONLY IN THE WAYS THAT IT IS INTENDED.
1.2 About this manual
This Installation and Operation Manual document is written and covers for the product at the time of
publication. Without prior notice, VOLTI reserves the right to modify the product information. The product is
sold as is. Any changes or modifications carried out by any party that is not an approved service workshop
of VOLTI may result in loss of warranty. Please refer to this manual or get in contact with VOLTI
representatives for your questions regarding the use of this product.
This document provides the information that is essential for safely installing, operating and maintaining
VOLTI Charging Station. Please make sure to read and understand all the instructions, follow the
procedures fully and in correct order. Always keep this document in a safe place that is easy to access.

1.4 Requirements
This document is intended for the following persons: Electricians, End-users
Electricians are the persons underwent the required training to know most recent standards, has the
required expertise and experience, and is able to assess the work performed below and the possible
hazards in relation to his/her expertise.
The person to perform the installation tasks shall have the following knowledge:
Most up-to-date safety information
Operating principles of the products
Basic knowledge of network communication
Diagnostic knowledge and problem solving capability
Device setting configuration
End-users are the persons who will be using VOLTI Charging Station to charge their vehicles. These
persons are only responsible of maintaining and operating the VOLTI Charging Station. End-users must
NOT perform the installation!
1.5 Intended use of the product
VOLTI Home charging station is designed for charging electric vehicles such as battery electric vehicles
(BEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV). The use for charging any other devices is not allowed.
VOLTI Home is designed to be used indoors and outdoors. The charging station must be installed vertically
on a flat wall surface or on a floor-fastened pillar. For installation, national and local regulations must be
adhered to. The use of the charging station must also comply with environmental regulations.

VOLTI Home is designed, developed, tested and manufactured according to the latest safety standards.
Following the instructions in this manual and other relevant safety documents ensures proper installation
and operation. Proper installation and operation will minimize the risk of personal and property damage.
NOT FOLLOWING THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAN RESULT WITH DEATH, INJURIES AND DAMAGE TO
YOUR DEVICE.
The manufacturer assumes no liability for resulting claims!
The installation as described in this manual must be performed by qualified electricians with the
requirements mentioned in this document.
The maintenance of this product is only expressly permitted to VOLTI authorized persons. Any work done
besides of installation and operation by other parties will result with the loss of warranty.
⚠DANGER
Danger of electric shock and fire hazard!
Never open the front cover. If the front cover is opened, product safety can no
longer be guaranteed. Please don’t use the product!
For the installation, only the installation cover, on the back of the product, can be opened. The front part of
the device is tightly shut during the manufacturing process. If the front cover is opened, the device loses its
compliance with the latest safety standards, and is no longer deemed operable, thus it is no longer covered
by the device warranty.
The manufacturer assumes no liability for resulting claims!
2. Safety Notes
⚠WARNING
Risk of electric shock and fire hazard!
Following tasks must be performed by electricians with correct training, qualification
and authorizations. Installing persons are fully responsible for complying with the
existing standards and regulations:
Installation, commissioning, maintenance, adjustment.
- Vehicle manufacturers and/or national regulations may require additional overvoltage
protection to be installed.
- Vehicle manufacturers and/or national regulations may require additional fault-current circuit
breaker (RCD Type-B) with a different triggering characteristics.
Never install or use a damaged device.
If damaged, charging station must be decommissioned by a qualified electrician.
Replacement and/or repairing of the device is strictly forbidden and must only be done by
VOLTI authorized persons. Please contact your sales channel.
No modifications can be made to the charger outside of what is included in this document.
All the markings must be kept on the device (e.g. safety signs, operating warnings, device
information etc.)
Do NOT use dirty, worn-out or faulty charging connectors.
Do NOT use any sort of extensions with the charging station, charging station cable or other
electric carrying parts.

⚠CAUTION
Possible damage risk to property!
During installation, keep a clean workspace to prevent foreign objects such as wire residue,
dust, etc. to get inside the charging stations.
Only use the charging plug to retrieve the charging cable. NEVER pull the cable.
Charging cable must be protected from any mechanical damage. Never use the charging
station if the charging cable is damaged, cables inside are exposed to heat, dirt or water.
Do NOT use chemical solvents to clean the charging cable. Never directly spray water to the
charging station, charging cable, charging plug or to the other parts of the charging station.

4. Installation
4.1 Instructions and SAFETY WARNINGs
⚠WARNING
Risk of electric shock, injury, fire hazard!
Before performing any installation / maintenance operation inside the equipment or
removing any parts, turn OFF power at the electricity panel board or load distribution
center. DO NOT remove any protective devices before turning the power OFF.
VOLTI charging station must be installed only by the qualified electric technicians. For
qualified person specifications please refer to “1.4 Requirements” section of this document.
Before performing the installation, make sure that you read and understand this document. For parts
that are unclear, please consult a licensed and qualified experts to ensure compliance with the latest
local building practices, environmental conditions, and safety standards, national and local laws and
regulations.
Ensure the cable infrastructure to and from the electricity panel board or load distribution center is of
least of 6mm2 / 10AWG cable cross section.
USING A SMALLER CROSS-SECTION CABLE MAY CAUSE OVERHEATING AND FIRE HAZARD!
ADHERE TO THE LOCAL AND NATIONAL BUILDING REGUALTIONS!
THIS PRODUCT MUST BE HARD-WIRED TO THE ELECTRIC INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE
BUILDING. USING A PLUG IS NOT ALLOWED!

4.1.1 Grounding the charging station
This product must be connected to a grounded permanent wiring system. Not properly grounding the
product will cause malfunction, the device will not be safe to operate.
4.1.2 Tools for installation
For installing VOLTI charging station, using the following tools is recommended.
Parts supplied with VOLTI charging station:
- Mounting plate
- Four (4) screws for securing VOLTI charging station to the mounting plate
- Two (2) screws for securıng the mounting plate
Parts need to be supplied by the qualified electrician:
- Ring terminal suitable for 6mm2 / 10 AWG cable
- Phillips type screw driver
- 6mm2 / 10 AWG supply cable from
4.2 Installing VOLTI Charging Station
1. Secure the VOLTI charging station mounting plate to the wall using the appropriate screws for the
surface. You may use screws with bolts for metal surfaces, screws with fixing plug for walls.
The VOLTI charging station must be mounted at a height from the ground with the plug dock
measuring 0.6 meters to 1.2 meters from the ground per the IEC standards.

2. Use appropriate conduit for the line cable per the state, local and national electrical standards and
regulations. Using a flexible conduit would allow rotation and would make the installation easier.
Make sure to fasten the line cable to the surface of installation.
3. Use the cable holes with the cable glands to route the appropriate cables to the connection
compartment area.
