Scope of Delivery

Installation Instruction
1. Connect the USB cable and the
plug.
2. Connect the connection box to
the payment terminal.
3. On the top right of the device
you will nd the On/Off button.
4. Slide the SIM card into the
5. slot provided for this purpo-
se. Ensure that the contacts are
facing down and that the bevelled
corner of the SIM card is positio-
ned as shown. You can then close
the cover again.*
* SIM card is already inserted in some terminals is
inserted.

Activate WiFi
1. Press the «Menu» button.
2. Select Setup > Device Setting and
conrm with OK.
3. Enter the merchant password 2005.
4. Select Connection cong. > Connection set-
tings > WiFi settings.
5. Select Scan nearby APs to nd the
desired connection
6. Select the connection.
7. Enter the WiFi password and conrm
with OK.
8. Icon will show on the display.
Your new PAX terminal runs by default with the SIM card inserted.
Should this fail, the device will automatically search for a WiFi or a
Bluetooth connection, which must be activated in advance.
Conguration
During conguration and initialization, the payment
terminal settings are checked and updated.
Procedure - Installation of the Terminal
- Conguring the Terminal

4. Enter the merchant password* 2005
5. Conrm the merchant password OK

If problems should occur with your terminal, please
recongure and reinitialize your terminal again briey.
* Your new PAX D200 terminal is congured with the 2005 merchant
password by default

Transactions & Postings
Contactless cards will be issued on de-
mand. The payment terminal is held at a
distance of less than 4 cm above the dis-
play.
Chip cards are inserted with the chip for-
ward pointing into the chip card reader.
The card must remain in the reader until
the payment process is completed.
Magnetic stripe cards are pulled through
quickly from back to front with the mag-
netic stripe pointing down to the left.
Postings
In order to get to the main payment function faster, the
terminal has the speed dial key 5 . The symbol corres-
ponds to an action to be performed by your customer.

4. Insert the card with chip into the chip
card reader, pull it through the magnetic
stripe reader or hold it closer than 4 cm
to the display of the terminal

3. Conrm the tip amount OK
When the PIN is requested
1. Entering the PIN code 1...9
2. Conrm the PIN code OK
3. Conrm the amount with OK OK
4. Printing of the merchant receipt and
the cardholder receipt
If the signature is requested
1. Sign the receipt
2. Check the signature on the receipt*
* The signature must be identical to that on the back of the card
Cancellation of Postings
The cancellation function allows you to cancel the last
one on the terminal cancel the transaction carried out.

ted on the back of the card 1...9
9. Conrm the card code 2 OK
10. Enter the expiry date of the card 1...9
11. Conrm the expiry date of the card OK
12. Conrm the amount OK
13. Conrm the last message OK
14. Printout of the merchant receipt and
the cardholder receipt
15. Give the cardholder receipt to the
customer
Daily Closing
At day-end closing, all bookings made on the terminal
during the day are sent to the acquirer. A transaction
journal is printed as soon as the day-end closing has
been carried out.

Currency Choice
Currency Choice is a service that enables the customer
to its purchases directly in its own national currency pay.
Process Transactions / CC Key/

1. Press key 5 5
2. Enter the amount 1...9
3. Conrm the amount OK
4. Enter the card with the chip into the
chip reader slot, slide the magnetic strip
of the card through the magnetic reader
oder hold the card as close as 4cm to
the device. If the device recognises a
foreign card, the Currency Choice is
offered.
5. The terminal will ask the host for their
Currency Choice

7. Conrm the amount OK
8. Printout merchant receipt and car-
dholder receipt
9. Give the cardholder receipt to the
customer
