Afterwards, use the W&H BeHear app to manage, customize,
and get help for your BeHear headset.
Start the personalization process by downloading
the W&H BeHear app from the Google Play Store
or Apple App Store and installing it on your phone.
For best results, first personalize your BeHear NOW headset
using the Hearing Assessment in our smartphone application.

Charging the Headset

Initially, the battery should have enough charge to perform
the Hearing Assessment. Afterwards, charge the battery up
to 3 hours until the LED indicator turns green.
Purchased separately
ŸCharge the headset directly from a
wall outlet or computer USB port.
ŸThe LED indicator is red during
charging and turns green when
the headset is fully charged.
Turning the Headset ON and OFF

1. To turn ON BeHear NOW press and hold the
power button until the unit vibrates and the
LED turns light blue.
2. To turn OFF BeHear NOW
press and hold the power
button until the unit
vibrates, and the light blue

1. Power OFF the BeHear NOW headset.
2. Press the power button again for about 5 seconds, until
the LED starts alternating red/blue.
3. Launch the app and follow the prompts.

For iOS (iPhone) only:
Go to iPhone “Settings” >> “Bluetooth”
and add BeHear NOW to “My Devices”. BeHear NOW
4. In the W&H BeHear app locate
your BeHear NOW headset,
followed by its serial number, in
the Available section. Tap that
entry. When pairing is complete
it will move to the Paired
section.

Wearing Recommendations

When not in use, ear buds can be secured
with magnets and rest on your chest.
Ear Fittings

The open ear buds may be used for the hearing assessment,
but the resulting graphic will not represent the true audiogram
values. However, headset performance will be optimized for
those fittings.
If the default fittings are not comfortable, replace them.
The fittings you find most comfortable should be used
during the personalization procedure in the next section.
ŸChoose an ear hook with a comfortable fit.
ŸReplace the ear bud,
squeezing it gently to attach
it to the oval speaker.
ŸPlace foam covers for wind
noise reduction (optional).
Note the “L” and “R” symbols for
“Left” and “Right” on each ear hook.

Hearing Amplification

Turn on hearing amplification and adjust the volume
whenever you need it using the RIGHT-HAND CONTROLS.
Decrease the hearing volume.
Increase the hearing volume.
Long press to toggle hearing amplification ON/OFF.
Short press to scroll through the hearing profiles.
Personalization

1. Put on the headset, inserting the ear buds.
2. Choose Personal >> Assessment in the
W&H BeHear app.
3. Follow the prompts to perform the
hearing assessment.
4. Save and apply the results to the headset.
Adjust the acoustic performance of the headset to suit your
own personal hearing preferences.

Low Ambient Noise
Six sounds will be played for each ear.
Move the dot on the left to the point you
first hear the sound.
Perform the assessment in a quiet
environmetn. The assessment will stop
automatically if there is too much ambient
noise.

Long press to toggle EasyListen ON/OFF.
Speech tempo is set to Normal when EasyListen is
OFF.
Short press to scroll through the three tempo
options: Slow, Slower, and Slowest.
Slow Down Speech with EasyListen™
Slow down the speed of the incoming voice during an on-
going mobile phone call using EasyListen, activated using
the RIGHT-HAND CONTROLS.
Phone Calls

Decrease the call volume.
Increase the call volume.
Short press to accept an incoming call.
Short press to end the active call.
Long press to reject an incoming call.
Double press to redial last number.
Handling Phone Calls
Handle calls of a Bluetooth-connected mobile phone using
the LEFT-HAND CONTROLS.

Stay Safe and Alert with ListenThrough™
Stay alert with ListenThrough while listening to music using
the RIGHT-HAND CONTROLS.
Long press to toggle ListenThrough ON/OFF.
Decrease the volume of the ambient sound.
Increase the volume of the ambient sound.

Manage Audio Play
Manage audio play from a Bluetooth-connected device using
the LEFT-HAND CONTROLS.
Decrease the volume.
Increase the volume.
Short press to toggle Play/Pause audio.
Double press to forward to the next audio track.
Triple press to return to the previous audio track.

Troubleshooting

If your BeHear NOW headset behaves unexpectedly:
ŸRestart the headset by connecting it to the charger. All
configuration and connection data will be preserved.
ŸIf you haven't used your headset for an hour or so, a quick
press on its Power button should renew the connection to
any paired device (phone, laptop, etc.).
ŸIf the menu buttons on the app are grayed out, the
headset is not connected to your phone. Go to the
Settings / Connection screen to verify that BeHear NOW is
in the Paired list. Tap it to activate the connection.
