1. This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
2. Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
3. To prevent electrical shock, do not immerse
the appliance, power cord or power plug
into water or other liquids.
4. Always check the power cord before use,
the power cord and the plug should be in a
good condition and must not be damaged.
If the power supply cord is damaged or
defective, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
5. Do not unplug by pulling on the power cord.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The power and heat of the steam may have adverse consequences for
certain materials. Before operating the appliance, always check whether
the surface or material is suitable for treatment with steam. Perform a test in a
hidden spot on the surface you wish to treat.
INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on the purchase of your new Wertheim Pro SoftTouch
Garment Steamer. There are many useful features built into your garment
steamer. We recommend that you carefully read this instruction manual to
take the best advantage of these features.

To unplug, grasp the plug not the power
cord. Do not use extension cords or outlets
with inadequate current carrying capacity.
6. Do not handle or operate the appliance
with wet hands and follow electrical safety
precautions at all times, i.e., never operate
without shoes.
7. Do not aim steam directly at people,
animals or parts that containing electrical
components, such as the electrical
components inside
an oven.
8. The force and heat of the steam may
damage certain materials. Some fabrics
may react to the temperature of the steam.
9. Do not hold the garment steamer in one
position for long periods, as this can cause
damage to materials.
10. Overlling may result in electrical shock,
emission of boiling water or scalding.
Steam generation may also be affected.
11. Exposure to hot steam can cause scalding.
12. Burns can occur from touching hot parts, hot
water or steam. Use caution when draining
the appliance after use as there may be hot
water in the appliance.
13. Do not attempt to change the
attachments while the appliance is
emitting steam. Use only manufacturer’s
recommended accessories.
14. Do not leave the appliance unattended
when it is connected to a power supply or
an electrical outlet.
15. Never attempt to steam clean clothes
which are still being worn.
16. Ensure that the appliance does not
operate on an empty tank.
17. Do not apply steam directly to very cold
glass surfaces.
18. Only water should be used in this appliance.
Use distilled/puried water if the tap water in
your area is very hard.
19. Damage caused by improper use of steam
on objects, materials, persons or animals
or by not observing the instructions in this
manual will void warranty.
20. Always store the appliance indoors in a
cool and dry place.
21. Do not add cleaning solutions, scented
perfumes, oils or any other chemicals to
the appliance, as cleaning agents may
damage the appliance or make it unsafe
for use.
22. The nozzle, hose and attachments become
hot during use. To avoid injuries, do not
touch the nozzle while using this appliance.
23. The garment steamer contains electrical
connections, with Live Parts Within. The
garment steamer is not a serviceable part.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN
This garment steamer must be operated in accordance with these instructions. This
garment steamer is not t to be used as an industrial garment steamer and will void the
manufacturer’s warranty if used inappropriately.
Please read these instructions thoroughly. This will ensure you obtain full benet from your
new garment steamer. Keep this instruction manual in a convenient and safe place for
future reference.
Important: Always switch the garment steamer off and remove the power plug from the
electricity supply before cleaning your appliance, when not in use, or while attempting
any maintenance task. The garment steamer must only be connected to an AC power
supply at the voltage shown on the rating plate. This garment steamer should only be
used for its intended purpose as described in these instructions.
Precautionary measures:
1. Do not operate the garment steamer too close to heaters,
radiators, and other hot surfaces.
2. Before inserting the plug into the wall, make sure your hand is
dry.
3. When you want to pull the plug from the wall, do not use the
power cable. Gently pull the plug itself from the power socket.
4. Warning! Danger of scalding. Please use the machine with
caution. The steam emitted from the machine is very hot.
5. CAUTION! Surface may be hot. Avoid contact.

IMPORTANT: Always remove the power plug from the power supply before
assembly.
ASSEMBLY
1. Screw the three Extension poles together in a
clockwise direction.
2. Attach the Extension pole to the body
of the garment steamer by screwing the
assembled pole into the garment steamer in
a clockwise direction.
3. Attach the garment hanger to the pole. You
will hear a “click” sound when it locks into
place.
4. Attach the cradle onto the top of the
garment hanger.

4. Screw the steam hose into the garment steamer
in a clockwise direction.
7. The fabric brush is ideal for steaming delicate
garments. To attach the fabric brush, clip the
brush onto the steam plate as shown.
5. Secure the sleeve protector strap onto the pole.
6. Screw the steam head onto the steam hose in a
clockwise direction tightly.
WARNING! Allow the steam head to cool down
completely before attaching the fabric brush.
ATTENTION! Always steam with the hose in an
upright position, allowing any condensation to ow
back into the garment steamer. If steaming in a low
position close to the oor, ensure the hose is lying
straight.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
WARNING! Do not operate the garment steamer without water in the water
tank.
IMPORTANT! The machine should be switched off before tting or removing
accessories.
WARNING! Accessories become hot during use. Allow accessories to cool
down before handling them.
Fill water tank
1. Remove the water tank from the garment
steamer as shown.
2. Unscrew the water tank cap, located on
its underside, and ll the tank with cold tap
water. Screw the water tank cap back into
place and re-t the water tank into the
garment steamer.
WARNING! Do not add chemicals, detergents,
disinfectant, eucalyptus oil or perfumes to the
water tank.
Connect to power supply
1. Plug the garment steamer into the power
supply and switch the On/Off switch to the
on position. After 45 seconds the garment
steamer will be ready to use.

Steaming your clothes
1. Hang the garment using the garment hanger.
2. Run the steam head along the fabric in
downward strokes. There is no need to press or
push against the fabric as you move the steam
head. The steam will gently remove wrinkles.
3. For delicate garments, attach the fabric brush
to the steam head, then steam as described
above.
WARNING! Never use the garment steamer in a
horizontal position or tilt it backwards, as this may
result in hot water discharge, and hot steam can
cause scalding.
High & low steam settings
1. Your garment steamer is equipped with two
steam settings: high and low. To change the
steam setting simply set the dual setting switch
to the corresponding position, as shown.
The dual setting switch includes two steam settings.
Low steam mode provides a runtime of up to 100
minutes. High steam mode provides a runtime of
up to 70 minutes.

After use
1. Rest the steam head on the cradle, ensuring it
is securely in place, and turn off the garment
steamer.
WARNING! Do not bend the steam hose for
storage purposes.
2. Unplug the garment steamer from the
power supply and remove any excess water
from the water tank. Remove the water tank
from the garment steamer, unscrew the
water tank cap and empty the water into a
sink.
Using a descaler
1. Remove the water tank from the garment
steamer and add 100ml of a descaling
solution (sold separate) into the water tank.
Fill the rest of the tank with water.
2. Place the water tank back into the garment
steamer and plug the garment steamer into
the power supply.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING! Always unplug the power cord after use. Never operate the
garment steamer without water in the water tank.

3. Turn the On/Off switch to the on position. Run
the garment steamer until the water tank is
empty. Always perform this process in a well-
ventilated area.
NOTE: Do not leave the garment steamer
unattended during this process.
4. Unplug the garment steamer from the power
supply and allow it to rest for 60 minutes, then
remove the drainage plug located at the
bottom of the garment steamer. Remove any
remaining mixture from the garment steamer.
5. Once the water tank is empty, re-t the
drainage plug and rell the water tank with
water. Run the garment steamer until the water
tank is empty once again to ush out any
remaining mineral buildup.
IMPORTANT! Tap water contains minerals that can build up inside your
garment steamer. Regular use of a descaling solution will remove this buildup
and maximise the efciency of your garment steamer. We recommend the
use of a descaling solution every three months to enhance the performance
of your garment steamer.
CAUTION! Exposure to hot steam can cause scalding. Please allow the
garment steamer to cool down completely before removing the drainage
plug.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Fault Solution
The garment steamer
will not switch on
Check that the garment steamer is plugged into the power
supply
Plug the garment steamer into a different power outlet
Check the fuse or circuit breaker in your house
The garment steamer
will not produce
steam
Make sure the water tank is full
Make sure the machine is switched on
Wait at least 45 seconds for the garment steamer to heat up
Check the water tank cap to make sure it can release water
Condensation on
head
Make sure the hose is not bent or kinked and that steam is
owing adequately
Check that the steam head is screwed on tightly to the steam
hose
Intermittent bursts of
steam
Follow the procedure described in this instruction manual to
descale the garment steamer
Check the garment steamer head to make sure it is screwed
on tightly on the hose end
Check the hose to make sure it is screwed on tightly on the
machine
CAUTION! Exposure to hot steam can cause scalding. Please allow the
garment steamer to cool down completely before checking the hose
connection to the machine and to the garment head.
CAUTION! Surface may be hot. Avoid contact.
The garment steamer contains electrical connections,
with live parts within. The garment steamer is not a
serviceable part.

Your garment steamer has a one year
parts and labour warranty against product
defects and failures when the product is
used in accordance with the terms and
conditions of this warranty statement.
This warranty commences from the original
date of purchase and is not transferable;
please retain your original proof of purchase
for any warranty claims. This warranty is
valid only in the country where the garment
steamer is purchased.
The garment steamer must be operated
in accordance with these instructions. This
garment steamer is not t to beused as an
industrial garment steamer.
Accessories and consumables, unless
defective in manufacture, are not subject to
this warranty. In order to prolong the life of
accessories and consumables, regular care
and maintenance is recommended.
When properly used and cared for, your
garment steamer will render excellent
service; refer to the instruction manual for
further details, as misuse or failure to follow
the instructions makes this warranty void.
In the event of service or advice being
needed, please contact Electrical

to repair or replace the cleaner is at the sole
discretion of Electrical Home-Aids Pty Ltd. If
Electrical Home-Aids Pty Ltd decide to repair
or replace the cleaner, it will do so at its own
cost.
Electrical Home-Aids Pty Ltd is unable to
accept responsibility under this warranty
for any repair work not carried out by an
authorised service agent or from the use of
non-genuine parts. If any part is no longer
available or manufactured, Electrical
Home-Aids Pty Ltd will replace it with a
genuine functional replacement part. This
warranty does not apply to the cost of
replacing any parts of the product due to
normal wear and tear, alterations, improper
installation, physical abuse, misuse or
accidental damage. Any transportation
costs involved in the repair of defective parts
shall be borne by the claimant.
If proof of purchase cannot be provided at
the time of a warranty claim or service, any
work carried out on the garment steamer
is chargeable. The repair of the garment
steamer under this warranty does not extend
the original period of warranty.
The benets conferred by this warranty are
in addition to all other rights and remedies in
respect of the product as outlined under the
Competition and Consumer Act and other
State and Territory laws.
“Our goods come with guarantees that
cannot be excluded in the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a
replacement or refund for a major failure
and for compensation for any other
reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods
repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of
acceptable quality and the failure does not
amount to a major failure.”
