Thank you for purchasing the Westek Outdoor Stake Timer with Six Receptacles.
Getting Started
1All six receptacles are controlled by Outdoor Stake Timer.
2Outdoor Stake Timer comes with 96 Segment Pins enabling you to turn your lamps/appliances ON/OFF every
15 minutes. Positioning of each segment determines if lamps/appliances are ON or OFF during selected time period.
Programming ON/OFF Times
1Move segment pins corresponding to desired ON times toward perimeter of dial.
2Move segment pins corresponding to desired OFF times toward center of dial.
3Turn dial clockwise one or more complete revolutions until arrow is pointing at present time of day (AM or PM).
4Turn lamps/appliances on.
5Plug lamps/appliances into timer receptacles. Close and latch Outdoor Stake Timer cover to protect receptacles from
moisture. If using outdoors, plugTimer Power Cord into GFCI protected outlet, suitable for wet locations.
6Use the Manual Override Switch to select Always ON or Timer Mode operating modes.The Always ON position
turns on all lamps/appliances plugged into Outdoor Stake Timer. The Timer Mode position, indicated by clock icon,
turns lamps/appliances ON/OFF at desired programmed times.
7Reset Outdoor Stake Timer in case of power failure (Step 3).
Circuit Breaker
In the event of overloaded or shorted circuit, Outdoor Stake Timer is equipped with a Circuit Breaker to shut off power to
lamps/appliances. If Outdoor Stake Timer does not function properly, Circuit Breaker may have been activated.To reset:
1Unplug Outdoor Stake Timer from power source.
2Check to make sure that combined load of lamps/appliances does not exceed rated capacity of Outdoor StakeTimer.
If so, disconnect items until electrical load is within prescribed limits.
3Press Circuit Breaker button to reset. Plug Outdoor Stake Timer back into outlet and test by turning Manual Override
Switch to ON. Return toTimer Mode if load is operating properly.
Wall Mounting
1If Outdoor Stake Timer is mounted on outside wall or post, it must be at least 3 feet above ground and close enough
to be plugged into an electrical outlet receptacle suitable for wet locations.
2Drive two 3/4” #6 screws (sold separately) 1-7/8” apart along horizontal line 6“ above location of bottom of Outdoor
Stake Timer (See Fig. B). Leave screw heads 1/4” above mounting surface.
3Place keyhole slots over screws and push Outdoor StakeTimer down to lock into place.
Stake Mounting
1Align four tabs on stake with four holes on back of timer. Push tabs down, then up, until they lock into place.
(See Fig. C)
2Stake should be inserted into ground up to lower round Barrier on stake. (See Fig. D)
Do not use hammer or other object to drive stake into ground.
Latching Cover
Outdoor Stake Timer door is spring loaded and will automatically close. If the cord(s) plugged into receptacles prevent
door from closing, gently grasp door and rear of the timer on opposite side of hinges. Squeeze until door latch engages.
Outdoor Stake Timer can be locked to discourage tampering with cords or dial. Simply close Cover and insert lock
(sold separately) through loop on Cover and Timer Base.
WARNING: Risk of Fire or Shock
Disregarding cautions could result in fire, damage to tools, or cause fatal shock.
This product is not intended for use with power tools such as hedge trimmers, weed trimmers and lawn mowers.
Use care when operating lawn equipment – cord blends easily into grass and foliage.
Always close Cover.
Do not modify, splice or repair. Discard if damaged.
Keep away from children.
Fully extend Power Cord before using.
Do not use Outdoor Stake Timer with heaters or similar appliances.
Always ensure that plugs of lamps/appliances are fully inserted into Outdoor Stake Timer’s receptacles.
To clean Outdoor StakeTimer, unplug from wall outlet and wipe with dry cloth.
When using with extension cord or devices, do not exceed their rating or 15 amps. (10 amps for incandescant lamps)
WARNING: CAUTION: RISK OF FIRE OR SHOCK. NOT FOR PERMANENT INSTALLATION. USE ONLY WITH
A TOTAL OF 10 AMPERES MAXIMUM FOR CHRISTMAS TREE OR OTHER SEASONAL LIGHTING PRODUCTS. DO NOT
INSTALL OR USE THIS PRODUCT FOR MORETHAN A 90 DAY PERIOD.
IF USING AN OUTDOOR-USE CORD SET FORAN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME (GREATER THAN 90 DAYS), PLEASE
CONSIDER HARD WIRINGA PERMANENT OUTDOOR USE RECEPTACLE RATED FOR YEAR-ROUND USE INTHE AREA
THAT POWER IS NEEDED. PLEASE CONTACT A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN FOR PROPER INSTALLATION OF PERMANENT
WIRING. IF USING CHRISTMASTREE OR SEASONAL LIGHTING PRODUCTS THAT ARE NOT MARKED WITH AN
AMPERE RATING, CONNECT NO MORETHAN 85 SCREW–BASED LAMPS (C7 OR C9) OR 10 STRINGS WITH MIDGET
(PUSH IN) LAMPS TO THIS TIMER.
WHEN EXTENSION CORD IS USED, A 3/14 OR 3/12 GAUGE CORD SUITABLE FOR OUTDOOR USE IS REQUIRED.
MAXIMUM LENGTH OF EXTENSION CORD CANNOT EXCEED 50 FEET.
SUITABLE FOR WET LOCATIONS AND DIRECT EXPOSURE TO RAIN, NOT FOR WATER IMMERSION. STORE IN A DRY
LOCATION WHEN NOT IN USE.
Limited One Year Warranty
AmerTac™ warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the
date of purchase. AmerTac’s obligations are limited to repairing or replacing any defective unit and are effective only if such
units are returned within one year of the purchase date to AmerTac, 250 Boulder Drive, Breinigsville, PA 18031. Warranty
void if damage is due to misuse or improper installation. In no circumstance will AmerTac™ be liable for consequential or
incidental damages relating in any way to this product.

Thank you for purchasing the Westek Outdoor Stake Timer with Six Receptacles.
Getting Started
1All six receptacles are controlled by Outdoor Stake Timer.
