Series 15 BTD
The smallest, quietest, most advanced generator for all ship-
board needs; 120or 1201240 volt electrical powerat the tum of
a switch for electric cooking, refrigeration, air conditioning,
cabin appliances, power tools, and navigationlco mmuni cation
equipment. Like all Westerbeke generatorsets,
it is fre sh water
cooled through an engine
-m ou nt ed heat exchanger. The com-
plete unit is mountedon lightweight rails through soft flexible
isolator mounts to prevent vibration. A lightweight removable
drip tray is fitted under the unit between the mounting rai
ls . The
engine is equippedwith an electric
fu el pump and self bleeding
fu el system.
The cast iron cylinder head
and block, swirl type combustion
chamber, and tuned air intake silencer produce unsurpassed
quiet running. The BTaltematorwith its integral flywheel hous-
ing, compact brushless construction
and built-in transf ormer
regulation, attaches directly to the engine's backplat e.
