applianceorpersonalinjuryresultingfromfailuretoobservethecorrectelectrical
connectionprocedures,improperuseorincorrectoperation.
3. Thisapplianceisforhouseholduseonly.Itisnotsuitableforcommercial,industrial,
oroutdooruse.

personswithreducedphysical,sensoryormentalabilities,orlackofexperienceor
knowledge,iftheyareproperlysupervisedorinstructedhowtousetheappliancein
asafewayandunderstandthehazardsinvolved.Cleaning,operating,maintenance
orconnectingtheappliancetothepowersupplyshouldnotbemadebychildren

8. KEEPOUTOFREACHOFBABIESANDCHILDRENWatercanremainhotfora
considerabletimeafterboilingandcanbeascaldhazard.Keepthekettle,power
baseandpowercordoutofthereachofchildren(undertheageof8).
9. Thisapplianceisnotatoy.Childrenmustbesupervisedtoensurethattheydonot
playwiththeappliance.
10. Closesupervisionisnecessarywhenthisapplianceisusedbyornearchildren.
11. Ensurethatthewaterisnotfilledabovethemaximummark(MAX1.7L/58oz)on
thekettle.
12. CAUTION!Donotswitchthekettleonunlessitisfilledwiththeminimumaboutof
water(MIN1.0L/34oz).
13. Removethekettlefromitspowerbasebeforefilling.
14. CAUTION!Ensurethatthelidisfullyclosedbeforeswitchingthekettleon.Ifthelidis
notclosedcorrectly,thekettlewillnotswitchoautomatically.

15. Beforeswitchingthekettleon,checkthatthekettleisproperlyplacedonthepower
baseandtheON/OFFswitchisfreefromobstructions.
16. Onlyusethekettlewiththepowerbasesupplied.
17. Theuseofaccessoriesorfittingsotherthantheoriginalpartssuppliedwiththis
appliancemayresultinaninjury,fireordamageandwillvoidthewarranty.

thelidmaycausescalding.
-Extremecautionmustbeusedwhenmovingthekettleifitcontainshotwater.
-Thescaldinghazardremainslongafterthewaterorliquidhasboiled.

CAREsectionofthisinstructionmanual.
21. Donotusetheapplianceifitisdamaged,droppedormalfunctions.Returnthe

BEFOREFIRSTUSE
• Removeallpackagingfromtheappliance.
• Unpackallpartsandcheckfordamagethatmayhaveoccurredduringtransport.
Ifanypartsaredamagedormissing,donotusetheapplianceandreturnittoyour
retailoutletimmediately.
• Rinsetheinteriorofthekettlethoroughlybeforefirstuse.Fillthekettleuptothe
MAXmark,boilandthendiscardthewater.Repeat2-3times.Thenfinallyrinsethe
insidewithcoldwaterandwithasoftdampclothwipetheoutsideofthekettle.
OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONS
USINGYOURKETTLE
1. Removethekettlefromthepowerbase(8).
2. Openthelid(2).
3. Fillthekettlewiththedesiredamountofwater.Ensurethewaterlevelisabovethe
minimummarking(MIN0.5L/17oz)andbelowthemaximummarking(MAX1.7L/58
oz)onthewaterlevelgauge(2).
4. Closethelid(3)intoplace.
5. Placethekettleonthepowerbase(7)makingsureitisinthecorrectposition.
6. Fullyunwindthepowercord(6)andslotthepowercableintothecablerecesson
thebottomofthepowerbase(7).Inserttheplug(8)intothewallsocket.
7. PresstheON/OFFswitch(5)toturnonthekettle.
•Abluelightilluminateswhenthekettleisonandturnsowhenthekettleiso.
•Thekettlewillswitchoautomaticallywhenthewaterhasboiled.
8. Tomanuallyswitchothekettleatanytime,lifttheON/OFFswitch(5)uptowards
theOmarking.
9. Unplugthekettlefromthewallsocketwhenitisnotinuse.
CAUTION
• Donotoverfillthekettle,asboilingwatermaysplashoutfromthespoutorlid
resultinginscalding.
• EnsurethattheON/OFFswitch(5)isclearofobstructionsandthatthelid(3)is
properlyclosed.ThekettlewillnotswitchoautomaticallyiftheON/OFFswitchis
obstructedorthelidisopen.
• Neveropenthelidwhilethewaterisboiling.
• Alwaysswitchothekettlebeforeremovingitfromthepowerbase.
NOTE:Donotworryifmoistureappearsonthepowerbase(7).Itiscondensationfrom
thesteamthatisreleasedtotriggertheautomaticoswitchonthekettle.

BOILDRYCUT-OFFPROTECTION
• Ifthekettleisaccidentallyswitchedonemptyorwithinsucientwater,theboildry
featurewillautomaticallycutothepowersupply.Liftthekettlefromthepower
baseandletitcooldownbeforerefillingitwithwater.Fillthekettlewithwaterupto
theMAXmarkingtoresettheboildryprotection.
• Avoidboilingthekettledrytoavoiddamagingtheapplianceandshorteningits
lifespan.
CAUTION:
• Alwaysunplugtheappliancefromthewallsocketandletitcooldownbefore
cleaning.
• Donotimmersethekettle,powerbaseorpowercordinwaterorotherliquids.
Neverrinsethemunderthetaporexposethemtomoisture.
• Neverusesolvents,chemicalorabrasivecleaningagents,wirebrushes,sharp
objectsorscouringpadstocleantheappliance.
CAREANDMAINTENANCE
1. Removethekettlefromthepowerbase(7).Emptythekettleandrinsetheinside
withwaterthoroughly.
2. Wipetheoutsideofthekettleandtheplasticpartsofthepowerbase(7)withasoft
clothmoistenedwithwaterormilddetergent.Drycompletelywithasoft,drycloth.
NOTE:Ensurethatallconnectorsandsocketsarekeptdry.
Descaling
Descaleyourkettleregularlytomaintainecientperformance.Limescaleandhard
mineraldepositsmaybuildupinsidethekettleovertime,whichslowsdowntheboiling
process
Todescalewithwhitevinegar:
1. Openthelid(3).
2. FillthekettletotheMAXmarkwithamixtureofwaterandwhitevinegarusinga
ratioof1:1.
3. Boilthekettleandthenleaveitforapproximately30minutes.Ifthekettleis
severelyscaled,boilitasecondtime.Afterboiling,discardthevinegarsolutionand
rinsetheinsideofthekettlethoroughly.
4. FillthekettlewithfreshwateruptotheMAXmark.Bringtoaboilandthendiscard
thewater.Repeatafewtimes.
5. Descaleyourkettleonceevery3monthsifyouliveinanareawithsoftwater,or
onceeverymonthifyouliveinanareawithhardwater.Regulardescalingensures
properfunction,productlongevityandsavesenergy.
