First-timeOperation
InsertSIMcard(For3G)
The Tablet Computersupportsdataconnectionusing 3G SIMcardsand fitsaMicro-SIMcard.
Performthe followingtoinstallthe SIMcardintoyourTablet Computer:
1.Removethe servicewindowintherearbyunscrewing the fourscrews.
2.Insert the3G SIMcardintothe slotlocatednearthe right sideof theservicewindow.
3.Reposition theremoved servicewindowscrewtosecurethe servicewindow.
Inserting BatteryPack
Toinsert the included standardbatterypack intothe Tablet Computer:
1.Disconnect anycordsconnectedtothetabletcomputer.
2.Turnthe tablet computerover,back facingup.
3.LocatetheBatteryLock Latchand pushit tothe Unlocked”position.
4.LocatetheBatteryReleaseSliderthatisspring-loaded. Pullback andhold.
5.Insert thebatterywiththeconnector-pinsside first, and then lowerthe batteryintothe
batterycompartment. Continuetoholdthe BatteryReleaseSlideruntilthebatteryisfully
inserted.
6.Makesurethe batteryiscompletelylowered intothe compartment beforelettinggo ofthe
BatteryReleaseSlider. Batterywillbeflat against the housing oncefullyinserted

RemovingtheBatteryPack
1.Shut downthe tablet computer(orputit tosleep). Disconnect anycordsconnectedtothe
computer.
2.Turnthe tablet computerover,back facingup.
3.LocatetheBatteryLock Latchand pushit tothe Unlocked”position.
4.LocatetheBatteryReleaseSliderthatisspring-loaded. Pullback andhold.
5.Lift the batteryout usingthe opening on side of batterycompartment.
ConnectingtoPowerSupply
The Tablet Computeroperateseitheron externalACpowerorinternalbatterypower. It is
recommended touseACpowerwhen you start up theTablet Computerforthe firsttime.
Caution UseonlytheACadapterincludedwithyourTabletComputer. Using
otherACadaptersmaydamagetheTabletComputerand theBattery.
Performthe followingtoconnect theTablet computertoACPower:
1.Onthe side of the Tablet computer, liftthe I/O protectivecoverbypulling onthe latch
2.Plug theDC cordof the ACadapterintothe PowerJack of the tablet computer.
3.Plug theACpowercordintothe ACadapter.
4.Finally, Plug the ACpowercordintothe electricaloutlet.

Whenthe ACAdapterisconnected, the batterypack startscharging. The batteryLEDindicator
on the tablet computerwillshowdifferent states. Pleaserefertodescriptionof theLEDindicator
inthe Description of Parts.
Turning On / Off
TurningOn
Press and holdthe powerswitchfor3secondstoturnon thetablet.
Note:
•Press the powerswitchagaintoput thetablettosleep
TurningOff
Performthe followingproceduretoshutdownthe Tablet Computer:
1.Press and holdthe powerswitchfor3secondsuntilthe pop-upmenu shows
2. Tap on ShutDown.
3.Wait fortheTablet Computertopoweroff.

Using theOptionalBarcodeReaderfeature
Toenablethe Barcode Readerfeature, perform the followingprocedure:
1.Pulldownfromthe top of thescreentoget thenotificationsarea.
2.Tipthe icontochange the physicalvolumebuttons”function
3.Makesurethe wording beside theicon shows Sound Volumeas scanbutton”
(Tipthe icon againtochange back to normal use”todisableBarcodeReader)
