This device is not suitable for children born before term. Withings Thermo (SCT01) is intended
for the intermittent monitoring of human body temperature at home.

Supported devices & Minimum requirements
In order to use your Thermometer, you need an iOS (14.0 or higher) or Android (8.0 and higher) device to install it. Thereafter, the product
can be used without your mobile device on you, thanks to the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth®. For Bluetooth connection, you will need your phone to
synchronize your results to see them in the Withings Application.
Precautions before use
- The device and the patient should stay in the same ambient temperature room for 10 minutes prior to taking a measurement.
- Infants’ body temperature might vary more than adults’. Avoid taking measurements on babies after nursing or while they are crying.
It is recommended to take measurements on children when they are calm.
- Do not take measurements over irritated skin or scars.
- For children under 3 months, perform 3 measurements in a row. If the 3 measurements are dierent, always take the highest one.
- If the patient has taken a bath or exercised, please wait for 15 minutes before taking a measurement.
- If the thermometer was stored in a cool or a warm room, wait 15 minutes before taking a measurement.
- When taking multiple measurements, wait one minute between each one
- Move hair out of the way and dry any sweat when taking a measurement
Important safety information
Self-diagnosis of measurement results and self-treatment are dangerous. Pregnant women should consult a doctor before using the thermom-
eter. Please consult your doctor when there is a temperature increase on:
- Neonates and babies under 3 months
- Patients over 60 year old
- Immunocompromised patients
- Bedridden patients
- Transplant patients
Please consult your doctor if other symptoms (vomiting, diarrhea, pain, shivering, sti neck....) occur even if there is no fever. This device is a
precision thermometer measuring equipment liable to be understood by lay users but it still should be handled with care.

Warnings & safety notice
-Self-diagnosis and self-treatment can be dangerous. Do not interpret or take clinical action solely based on the assessment result without consultation
of a qualified healthcare professional.
- Do not use the device on premature babies (babies born before term).
- Keep the device out of the reach of children and pets.
- Do not leave the thermometer unattended with infants or persons who cannot express their consent.
- This device is for personal use at home only.
- The sensor lens is fragile: do not touch it with your fingers
- Do not expose the device to humidity or water. In case the unit is wet, wait until it is dry.
- To clean the lens, use a soft dry cloth to wipe it or a cotton bud. For cleaning instructions, please see the cleaning section of this manual.
- Never try to disassemble or repair the product.
- The device does not provide alarms
- Misuse of the device can cause injury. Do not use the thermometer if it is damaged. Use of a damaged device could cause injury or equipment failure.
- Do not try to repair or modify this equipment yourself. No service or repairs should be performed on the device other than the maintenance listed in
the device’s instructions for use.
- Do not use the thermometer for any purpose other than measuring temperature.
- Do not operate when the infrared optical lens is found to be soiled or damaged.
- Do not shake the unit violently.
- Do not use the device after a strong shock, such as dropping the unit on the floor.
- Portable RF communications equipment (including peripherals such as antenna cables and external antennas) should be used no closer than 30 cm
(12 inches) to any part of the device, including cables specified by the manufacturer. Otherwise, degradation of the performance of this equipment
could result.
- Use of this equipment adjacent to or stacked with other equipment should be avoided because it could result in improper operation. If such use is
necessary, this equipment and the other equipment should be observed to verify that they are operating normally.
- Do not interconnect this equipment with other equipment not described in the instructions for use. Follow operational and storage conditions
indicated in this user manual. Otherwise, measurement accuracy may be impacted. The user is an intended operator. Measurements can be aected by
extreme temperatures, humidity, & altitude. Do not use accessories, detachable parts, or materials not described in the product guide. Use of parts and
components other than those specified or provided by Withings could result in increased electromagnetic emissions or decreased electromagnetic
immunity of this equipment and result in improper operation.
- Exposing the device to prolonged lint, dust or sunlight might reduce its life or damage it. A damaged sensor may lead to incorrect measurements.

How to take a measurement
1. Remove the green protective
cap.
4. Thermo will vibrate twice
when the measurement is
complete. The temperature is
displayed on the device.
The unit is either in °F or °C.
You can change this unit in the
Withings app settings.

Understanding the results
Troubleshooting
If one of the following problems occurs while you are using Withings Thermo, refer to this section to help solve the problem. If the problem
persists, please contact our customer service. For any enquiry, the serial number must be provided. It can be found inside the battery compart-
ment. It is made of 12 characters in groups of 2, each group separated by a colon, for instance XX:YY:XX:YY:XX.
Blank display. The device does not turn on.
“Low battery icon”

The temperature too rather high
1. Remove the AAA alkaline batteries and wait one minute.
2. Then reinstall the AAA alkaline cells back ensuring they are in the correct polarity.
3. Replace the AAA alkaline cells with new ones.
Replace the AAA alkaline cells.
The temperature is outside the range. i.e lower than 35°C (95°F) or higher than 43.2°C (109.76°F).
Take a new temperature measurement, referring to the user manual. If the issue persists, contact
customer support.
The unit has been stored in a cold room. Leave the device in the room where the patient is for 30
minutes prior to the next measurement

After use
The temperature seems too low
Bluetooth does not seem to work
Wi-Fi does not seem to work
The skin has sweat on it or there is hair over the skin. Ensure that there is no hair in front of the
sensor. Clean the skin with a dry cloth and wait for 5 minutes prior to taking a measurement. The
patient has been in a cold room. Wait until the patient is warmer before taking a measurement.
Measurement was not taken on the temple. Please refer to the user manual to place the sensor on
the correct location.
Smartphone is out of range. Please bring your smartphone closer to your device. Smartphone’s
Bluetooth is OFF. Please switch your smartphone’s Bluetooth ON.
Device is out of range from the Wi-Fi source. Please get your smartphone and device closer to
your Wi-Fi source.
Cleaning:
Do not use an alcohol-based agent or solvent to clean the device.
Clean the device with a soft and dry cloth.
Do not submerge the device or any of the components in water.
Ensure that no liquid enters the interior of the thermometer.
Do not dismantle the device or try to repair it yourself.
After cleaning, wait for 10 minutes before taking a temperature measurement.
Storage:
- Store the device and the components in a clean and safe location.
- Do not store the device in a wet, humid or dusty location.
If storage conditions are dierent from the usage conditions indicated in this document, please wait 30 minutes before taking a measure-
ment. While stored, the device should not be exposed to direct sunlight.
- Ensure that you place the protective cap on the sensor after each use to prevent damage to the sensor.
- If you are not using the device for an extended period, remove the alkaline batteries from the device.

AAA alkaline cells usage
- If AAA alkaline cells fluid should get on your skin or clothing, immediately rinse abundantly with clean water.
- Use only two AAA alkaline cells with this thermometer. Do not use any other type of batteries.
- Do not insert AAA alkaline cells with their polarities incorrectly aligned.
- Replace old AAA alkaline cells with new ones immediately.
- Replace all two AAA alkaline cells at the same time.
Replacing the AAA alkaline cells
If the low battery symbol appears in the Withings application, replace all two AAA alkaline cells at the same time.
1. Remove the battery cover at the back of the thermometer.
2. Install or replace two AAA alkaline cells so that the + (positive) and - (negative) polarities match the polarities indicated on the AAA
alkaline cells compartment.
3. Put the battery cover back in place. If the device will not be used for a long period of time, it is advised to remove the alkaline cells.

Warranty
Actuation of European directive 2012/19/EU, for reduction in use of dangerous substances in the electric and electronic device
and for garbage disposal. The symbol applied on the device or its packaging means that at the end of its useful life, the product

Bluetooth, vous aurez besoin de votre téléphone pour synchroniser vos résultats afin de les acher dans l’application.
Précautions avant utilisation
- L’appareil et l’utilisateur doivent être soumis à la même température ambiante 10 minutes avant la prise de mesure.
- La température corporelle des nourrissons peut varier davantage que celle des adultes. Évitez de prendre la température des bébés après
l’allaitement ou s’ils pleurent. Il est recommandé de prendre des mesures sur les enfants lorsqu’ils sont calmes.
- Ne prenez pas de mesure sur une peau irritée ou des cicatrices.
- Pour les enfants de moins de 3 mois, eectuez 3 mesures d’alée. Si les 3 mesures sont diérentes, retenez toujours la plus élevée.
- Si l’utilisateur a pris un bain ou pratiqué une activité physique, attendez 15 minutes avant de prendre une mesure.
- Si le thermomètre a été rangé dans une pièce froide ou chaude, attendez 15 minutes avant de prendre une mesure.
- Si vous prenez plusieurs mesures d’alée, attendez une minute avant chacune d’entre elles
- Avant de prendre une mesure, éloignez les cheveux et essuyez la peau en cas de transpiration
Informations importantes relatives à la sécurité
Il est dangereux de s’auto-diagnostiquer et de s’auto-traiter à partir des résultats des mesures. Les femmes enceintes doivent consulter un
médecin avant d’utiliser le thermomètre. Veuillez consulter votre médecin en cas d’augmentation de la température chez :
- les nourrissons et bébés de moins de 3 mois
- les personnes de plus de 60 ans
- les patients immunodéprimés
- les personnes alitées
- les patients greés
Veuillez consulter votre médecin si d’autres symptômes (vomissements, diarrhée, douleur, frissons, raideur au niveau du cou...) apparaissent,
même en l’absence de fièvre. Cet appareil est un équipement de mesure précis dont l’utilisation est à la portée d’utilisateurs non profession-
nels, mais il doit toutefois être manipulé avec précaution.

Mises en garde et précautions d’emploi
- L’auto-diagnostic et l’auto-traitement peuvent être dangereux. L’utilisateur
n’est pas censé interpréter les résultats des mesures de l’appareil n’y si fier
pour prendre des mesures cliniques sans consulter un professionnel de santé
qualifié.
- N’utilisez pas cet appareil sur des bébés prématurés (bébés nés avant
terme).
- Conservez l’appareil hors de la portée des enfants et des animaux de
compagnie.
- Ne laissez pas le thermomètre sans surveillance à la portée de jeunes enfants
ou de personnes qui ne sont pas en mesure d’exprimer leur consentement.
- Cet appareil est destiné à un usage personnel et dans un cadre domestique
uniquement.
- La lentille du capteur est fragile : ne la touchez pas avec les doigts
- N’exposez pas l’appareil à l’humidité ou à l’eau. Si l’appareil est mouillé,
attendez qu’il soit sec.
- Pour nettoyer la lentille, utilisez un chion sec et doux ou un coton-tige pour
l’essuyer. Pour connaître les instructions d’entretien, veuillez vous reporter à la
partie « Nettoyage » de ce manuel.
- N’essayez jamais de démonter ou de réparer le produit.
- L’appareil ne dispose pas d’alarmes
- Une mauvaise utilisation de l’appareil peut entraîner des blessures. N’utilisez
pas le thermomètre s’il est endommagé. L’utilisation d’un appareil endom-
magé peut provoquer des blessures ou une défaillance de l’appareil.
- Ne tentez pas de réparer ou de modifier l’appareil vous-même. Aucun entre-
tien ou réparation autre que ceux indiqués dans le mode d’emploi ne doivent
être eectués sur l’appareil.
- N’utilisez pas le thermomètre à d’autres fins que la mesure de la tempéra-
ture.
- N’utilisez pas l’appareil si la lentille optique infrarouge est souillée ou
endommagée.
- Ne secouez pas l’appareil violemment.
- N’utilisez pas l’appareil s’il a subi un choc important, par exemple, s’il est
tombé au sol.
- Les équipements de communication RF portables (notamment les
périphériques tels que les câbles d’antenne et les antennes externes) doivent
être utilisés à au moins 30 cm de tout élément de l’appareil, y compris des
câbles spécifiés par le fabricant. Si cette mesure n’est pas respectée, les
performances de l’appareil peuvent s’en trouver dégradées.
- N’utilisez pas cet appareil s’il se trouve à proximité d’un autre appareil ou
est posé sur un autre appareil au risque d’entraîner un dysfonctionnement. Si
une telle utilisation est nécessaire, l’appareil et les autres appareils alentour
doivent être surveillés pour vérifier leur bon fonctionnement.
- Ne connectez pas l’appareil à d’autres appareils qui ne sont pas indiqués
dans le mode d’emploi.
- Respectez les conditions de fonctionnement et de stockage indiquées
dans ce manuel car la précision des mesures en dépend. L’utilisateur est un
opérateur désigné. Les températures extrêmes, l’humidité et l’altitude peuvent
fausser les mesures.
- N’utilisez pas d’accessoires, de pièces détachables ou de matériaux qui ne
figurent pas dans le guide du produit. L’utilisation de pièces et de composants
autres que ceux spécifiés ou fournis par Withings peut entraîner une aug-
mentation des émissions électromagnétiques ou une réduction de l’immunité
électromagnétique de cet appareil et entraîner un dysfonctionnement.
Une exposition prolongée de l’appareil aux peluches, à la poussière ou à la
lumière du soleil peut réduire sa durée de vie ou l’endommager. Un capteur
endommagé peut fausser les mesures.

Comment prendre une mesure
1. Retirez le capuchon
de protection vert.

Si l’un des problèmes suivants survient lorsque vous utilisez Withings Thermo, reportez-vous à cette partie pour résoudre le problème. Si
le problème persiste, veuillez contacter notre service client. Pour toute demande, vous devez fournir le numéro de série de l’appareil, qui se
trouve à l’intérieur du compartiment à piles. Il est composé de 12 caractères par groupes de 2, chaque groupe étant séparé par deux points,
par exemple XX:YY:XX:YY:XX.
Rien ne s’ache sur l’écran. L’appareil ne
s’allume pas.

La température semble trop élevée
1. Retirez les piles alcalines AAA et attendez une minute.
2. Réinstallez ensuite les piles alcalines AAA en respectant la polarité.
3. Remplacez les piles alcalines AAA par des neuves.
Remplacez les piles alcalines AAA.
La température est inférieure à 35 °C (95 °F) ou supérieure à 43,2 °C (109,76 °F). Eectuez une
nouvelle mesure en vous référant au mode d’emploi. Si le problème persiste, contactez le service
client.
L’appareil a été stocké dans un endroit froid. Placez l’appareil dans la même pièce que l’utilisateur
30 minutes avant de prendre la prochaine mesure.

Après utilisation
La température est trop basse
Le Bluetooth ne semble pas fonctionner
Le Wi-Fi ne semble pas fonctionner
La transpiration ou les cheveux gênent la prise de mesure. Retirez les cheveux présents devant
le capteur. Essuyez la peau à l’aide d’un chion sec et attendez 5 minutes avant de prendre une
mesure. L’utilisateur se trouvait dans un endroit froid. Attendez que le patient se réchaue avant
de prendre une mesure. La mesure n’a pas été prise au niveau de la tempe. Veuillez vous référer au
mode d’emploi pour bien positionner le capteur.
Le smartphone est hors de portée. Veuillez rapprocher votre smartphone de l’appareil. Le Blue-
tooth est désactivé sur le smartphone. Activez le Bluetooth sur votre smartphone.
L’appareil est hors de portée de la source de Wi-Fi. Veuillez rapprocher votre smartphone et
l’appareil de la source de Wi-Fi.
Nettoyage :
N’utilisez pas d’agent à base d’alcool ou de solvant pour nettoyer l’appareil.
Nettoyez l’appareil à l’aide d’un chion doux et sec.
Ne plonge pas l’appareil ni ses composants dans l’eau.
Veillez à ce qu’aucun liquide ne pénètre à l’intérieur du thermomètre.
Ne tentez pas de démonter l’appareil ni de le réparer vous-même.
Une fois l’appareil nettoyé, attendez 10 minutes avant de prendre une mesure de température.
Stockage :
- Le dispositif et ses composants doivent être rangés dans un endroit propre et sûr.
- Ne rangez pas l’appareil dans un endroit humide ou poussiéreux.
Si les conditions de stockage sont diérentes des conditions d’utilisation indiquées dans ce document, veuillez patienter 30 minutes
avant de prendre une mesure.
Il ne doit pas non plus être exposé à la lumière directe du soleil.
- Replacez le capuchon protecteur sur le capteur après chaque utilisation afin d’éviter de l’endommager.
- Si vous n’utilisez pas l’appareil pendant un certain temps, retirez les piles alcalines de l’appareil.
