· Den Wasserkocher niemals ohne Aufsicht betreiben.
· Das Gerät nicht ohne Wasser einschalten.
· Den Wasserkocher zum Füllen vom Sockel nehmen.
· Nur reines Wasser, keine Milch, Kaffee o. Ä. einfüllen.
· Wird das Gerät überfüllt oder mit nicht geschlossenem
Deckel betrieben, kann kochendes Wasser herausspritzen.
· Das Gerät während des Betriebes nicht verrücken und nicht
am Netzkabel ziehen.
· Vorsicht, das Gerät wird heiß. Verbrühungsgefahr durch
austretenden Dampf. Den heißen Wasserkocher nur am
Griff anfassen und zum Ausgießen Deckel nicht öffnen.
· Den Wasserkocher stets restlos leeren. Kein Restwasser
längere Zeit im Gerät stehen lassen.
· Dieses Gerät ist nicht dafür bestimmt, durch Personen (ein-
schließlich Kinder) mit eingeschränkten physischen, senso-
rischen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten oder mangels Erfahrung
und/oder mangels Wissen benutzt zu werden, es sei denn,
sie werden durch eine für ihre Sicherheit zuständige Person
beaufsichtigt oder erhielten von ihr Anweisungen, wie das
Gerät zu benutzen ist.
· Achten Sie darauf, dass Kinder keine Gelegenheit erhalten,
mit dem Gerät zu spielen.
· Der Netzstecker ist zu ziehen:
· bei Störungen während des Betriebes,
· vor jeder Reinigung und Pflege,
· nach dem Gebrauch.
· Den Wasserkocher und den Sockel nicht in Wasser tauchen.
· Bei Zweckentfremdung, falscher Bedienung oder nicht
fachgerechter Reparatur wird keine Haftung für eventuelle
Schäden übernommen.
Ebenso sind Garantieleistungen in solchen Fällen ausge-
schlossen.
· Das Gerät ist nicht für den gewerblichen Gebrauch
bestimmt.
· Verpackungsmaterial, wie z. B. Folienbeutel gehören nicht in
Kinderhände.
· Wenn die Anschlussleitung dieses Gerätes beschädigt wird,
muss sie durch den zentralen Kundendienst des Herstellers
oder eine ähnlich qualifizierte Person ersetzt werden. Durch
unsachgemäße Reparaturen können erhebliche Gefahren
für den Benutzer entstehen.
Vor dem Benutzen
Die Gebrauchsanweisung aufmerksam lesen. Sie enthält
wichtige Hinweise für den Gebrauch, die Sicherheit und
die Wartung des Gerätes.
Sie soll sorgfältig aufbewahrt und gegebenenfalls an
Nachbenutzer weitergegeben werden.
Das Gerät darf nur für den vorgesehenen Zweck, gemäß
dieser Gebrauchsanweisung, verwendet werden.
Dieses Gerät ist dafür bestimmt, im Haushalt und ähnlichen
Anwendungen verwendet zu werden, wie beispielsweise:
· für Mitarbeiter in Büroküchen
und anderen gewerblichen Bereichen;
· in landwirtschaftlichen Betrieben;
· von Kunden in Hotels, Motels und anderen
Wohneinrichtungen;
· in Frühstückspensionen.
Das Gerät ist nicht für den rein gewerblichen Gebrauch
bestimmt. Beim Gebrauch die Sicherheitshinweise beachten.

Sicherheitshinweise
· Gerät nur an eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte Schutzkon-
taktsteckdose anschließen. Zuleitung und Stecker müssen
trocken sein.
· Die Anschlussleitung nicht über scharfe Kanten ziehen oder
einklemmen, nicht herunterhängen lassen sowie vor Hitze
und Öl schützen.
· Den Wasserkocher nur mit dem dazugehörigen Sockel
betreiben.
· Den Netzstecker nicht an der Leitung oder mit nassen
Händen aus der Steckdose ziehen.
· Das Gerät nicht in Betrieb nehmen bzw. sofort Netzstecker
ziehen, wenn:
· Gerät oder Netzkabel beschädigt ist;
· das Gerät undicht ist;
· der Verdacht auf einen Defekt nach einem
Sturz o. Ä. besteht.
In diesen Fällen das Gerät zur Reparatur geben.
· Den Wasserkocher nicht auf heiße Oberflächen z.B. Herd-

Reinigung und Pflege
Vor dem Reinigen den Netzstecker ziehen. Wasserkocher und
Sockel auf keinen Fall in Wasser tauchen. Den Wasserkocher
innen gelegentlich ausspülen. Das Geräteäußere nur mit einem
feuchten Tuch reinigen. Keine scharfen und scheuernden Reini-
gungsmittel verwenden.
Der Siebeinsatz in der Ausgießtülle kann bei geöffnetem Deckel
zum Reinigen herausgenommen werden. Dazu dessen obere
Lasche nach unten drücken. Beim Einsetzen das Sieb mittig
am Steg ansetzen und anschließend nach vorn einrasten. Der
Heizboden besteht aus nichtrostendem Edelstahl. Sollten sich
dennoch Rostflecken zeigen, so sind dies nur auf der Oberflä-
che fest haftende Ablagerungen. Sie sollten sofort mit einem
Edelstahl-Putzmittel entfernt werden.
Entkalken
Kalkablagerungen führen zu Energieverlusten und beeinträchti-
gen die Lebensdauer des Gerätes. Es schaltet vorzeitig ab, wenn
die Kalkschicht zu stark ist. Sie ist dann nur noch sehr schwer zu
entfernen. Entkalken Sie deshalb regelmäßig.
Verwenden Sie einen handelsüblichen Entkalker, der für die
Entkalkung von Wasserkochern geeignet ist.
Gerät vor der Entkalkung vom Netz trennen und abkühlen
lassen. Entkalker gemäß Gebrauchsanweisung einfüllen und
Gerät stehen lassen, bis der Kalkbelag am Boden entfernt ist.
Dann das Gerät bis über den Kalkrand an der Wandung mit
kaltem Leitungswasser auffüllen und 15 Minuten stehen lassen.
Anschließend ausgießen und gründlich mit kaltem Leitungswas-
ser ausspülen.
Lösung während der Entkalkung nicht erhitzen.
Achtung, für Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachtung der Entkal-
kungsvorschrift entstehen, besteht kein Garantieanspruch.
Ursachen für Störungen
· Gerät schaltet vor dem Kochen ab
Topfboden ist zu stark verkalkt oder
· Gerät schaltet nicht ab
Deckel bis zum Einrasten schließen.
Der Siebeinsatz sitzt nicht korrekt.
· Wasserkocher gießt schlecht aus
Siebeinsatz entkalken.
· Gerät lässt sich nicht einschalten
Nach einem Betrieb ohne oder mit zu wenig Wasser ist
das Gerät noch nicht ausreichend abgekühlt. Sollte die
Störung nicht behoben werden können, das Gerät zur
Reparatur geben.
Inbetriebnahme
Vor Erstbenutzung den Wasserkocher innen gründlich reinigen.
Dazu den Deckel durch Ziehen des Deckelverschlusses öffnen.
In der Ausgießtülle sorgt ein Siebeinsatz dafür, dass größere
Kalkteile beim Ausgießen zurückgehalten werden.
Die nicht benötigte Länge der Anschlussleitung kann am Boden
des Sockelteiles aufgewickelt werden. Den Netzstecker an eine
Schutzkontaktsteckdose anschließen.
Mindestens soviel Wasser einfüllen, dass der Wasserstand am
Sichtfenster sichtbar ist, höchstens jedoch bis zur Max - Markie-
rung. Den Deckel schließen bis er einrastet. Nur so arbeitet die
KochStopAutomatic zuverlässig.
Den Wasserkocher in beliebiger Stellung auf den Sockel setzen.
Erst jetzt die Einschalttaste unter dem Griff nach unten drü-
cken, die Kontrollleuchte in der Einschalttaste zeigt an, dass das
Gerät heizt.
Die Einschalttaste rastet nur ein, wenn der Wasserkocher auf
dem Sockel steht.
Aufgrund der hohen Leistungsaufnahme ist während des
Kochens mit einer erhöhten Geräuschbildung zu rechnen.
Das Wasser vom ersten Kochvorgang nicht zur Lebensmittel-
zubereitung verwenden.
Abschaltautomatik
Kurze Zeit nachdem das Wasser kocht, schaltet die KochStop-
Automatic das Gerät ab. Ist der Wasserkocher nur mit wenig
Wasser gefüllt, verlängert sich die Abschaltzeit.
Wird nur warmes Wasser gewünscht, kann der Heizvorgang je-
derzeit durch Betätigen der Einschalttaste abgebrochen werden.
Das Abschalten erfolgt auch automatisch, wenn der Wasserko-
cher vom Sockel gehoben wird. Soll heißes Wasser nach einiger
Zeit erneut zum Kochen gebracht werden, kann das Gerät
abermals eingeschaltet werden.
Funktionsbedingt könnte aus den Ablauföffnungen am Boden
des Wasserkocheres etwas Kondenswasser auf den Rand des
Sockels laufen. Dies ist technisch bedingt und beeinträchtigt die
Sicherheit des Gerätes nicht.
Sicherheitssystem
Ein Thermostat schützt den Wasserkocher bei versehentlichem
Betrieb ohne Wasser vor Überhitzung, indem er das Gerät
abschaltet.
Vor dem Wassereinfüllen unbedingt ca. 5-10 Minuten Abkühl-
zeit abwarten. Sollte bei unsachgemäßem Gebrauch der erste
Thermostat versagen, sorgt ein zusätzlicher Temperaturbe-
grenzer für einen zuverlässigen Schutz.

Von der gesetzlichen Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen sind
Schäden durch normalen Verschleiß, unsachgemäßen Gebrauch,
Nichteinhaltung der Entkalkungsanweisung, unterbliebene
Pflege sowie Glasbruch.
Das Gerät entspricht den Europäischen Richtlinien 2006/95/EG,
2004/108/EG und 2005/32/EG.
Dieses Produkt darf am Ende seiner Lebensdauer nicht über den
normalen Haushaltsabfall entsorgt werden, sondern muss an

· Do not place the appliance on water-sensitive surfaces,
as they may be damaged by water spray.
· Never leave the kettle to run unattended.
· Do not switch on the appliance without water.
· Remove the kettle from the base to fill.
· Fill in only pure water, no milk, coffee, etc.
· If the appliance is overfilled or used when the lid is not
closed properly, hot water may spurt out.
· Do not move the appliance during operation and do not
pull out the power cable.
· Caution. The appliance becomes very hot. Risk of scalding
through escaping steam. Hold the hot kettle only by its
handle and do not open the lid to pour out water.
· Always empty the kettle completely. Do not leave residual
water in the appliance over a longer period.
· This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (inclu-
ding children) with limited physical, sensory or intellectual
faculties or who lack experience and/or knowledge, unless

Safety information
· Connect the appliance only to a shockproof socket that has
been installed according to regulations. The power cable
and power plug must be dry.
· Do not pull the supply line over sharp edges or jam, do not
let it hang down and protect from heat and oil.
· Use the kettle only together with the related power base.
· Do not pull out the plug by the cable or touch it with wet
hands.
· If the following happens do not use the appliance and
unplug it immediately:
· the appliance or power cable are damaged;
· the appliance leaks;
· a defect is suspected after a fall or similar
occurrence.
· In these cases, have the appliance repaired.
· Do not place the kettle on hot surfaces such as stove tops
or near an open gas flame, as this may cause the appliance
to melt.

Cleaning and service
Pull out the power plug prior to cleaning. Never immerse the
kettle and the base in water. Briefly rinse the kettle from time
to time. Wipe the outside of the appliance only with a damp
cloth. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.
The mesh filter in the spout can be removed for cleaning
when the lid is open. To do so, press the top lug downwards.
To reinsert the mesh filter, position the mesh filter in the middle
of the spout and then push forward to lock into place. The he-
ater bottom is made of stainless steel. If you notice rust marks
nevertheless, these are only deposits sticking to the surface.
Remove them immediately with a cleaning agent for stainless
steel.
Decalcifying
Calcium deposits result in energy losses and impair the service
life of the appliance. The appliance will switch off prematurely
if the calcium deposits are too strong. It is then very difficult to
remove the deposits. Decalcify the appliance regularly.
Therefore, the pot should be regularly descaled with usual
descaling agents suitable for stainless steel. Please consider the
user instructions of the manufacturer. Pour out the water and
rinse the kettle thoroughly with cold tap water. Do not heat up
the kettle during the decalcification process.
Important. Warranty compensation does not exist for damage
that occurs due to non-compliance with the decalcification
instructions.
Causes of faults
· The appliance switches off before boiling
There are excessive calcium deposits on the bottom
of the kettle, or
· The appliance does not switch off
Close the cover until it locks into place.
The mesh filter is not correctly fitted.
· The kettle does not pour properly
Decalcify the mesh filter.
· The appliance cannot be switched on
The kettle has not cooled down sufficiently after
being operated with no or too little water.
If the fault cannot be remedied, you must return the appliance
for repair.
For UK use only
· This product is supplied with a 13 A plug conforming to BS
1363 fitted to the mains lead. If the plug is unsuitable for
your socket outlets or needs to be replaced, please note the
following. If the plug is a non-rewireable one, cut it from
Start-up
Prior to using for the first time, clean the inside of the kettle
thoroughly. To do so, pull the lid lock to open the lid. A mesh
filter is fitted in the spout to hold back large pieces of calcium
deposits when pouring out the water.
The section of the power cable not in use, can be wound
up and stored on the base. Connect the power plug to a
shockproof socket.
Fill in at least as much water that it can be seen in the window,
but not further than the max. mark. Close the lid and make sure
it locks into place. Otherwise the automatic boil-stop function
cannot function properly.
Place the kettle onto the base pointing in any direction. Only
then press down the ON switch under the handle. The indica-
tor light on the ON switch will indicate that the appliance is
heating up.
The ON switch will only lock into place if the kettle is positioned
on the base.
Due to the high level of power consumption during the boiling
process, you will notice an increase in noise.
Do not use the water from the initial boiling operation for food
purposes.
Automatic switch-off
A short time after the water has started to boil, the automatic
boil-stop function will switch off the appliance. If the kettle is
filled with only a small quantity of water, the switch-off time
will increase.
If you require only warm water, the heating process can be
cancelled at any time by pressing the ON switch. The appliance
will switch off automatically after the kettle is removed from
the base. If you want to reboil hot water, the appliance can be
switched on again.
For functional reasons, some condensed water may run from
the openings at the bottom of the kettle onto the rim of the
base. This is necessary for technical reasons and does not impair
the safety of the appliance.
Safety system
If the kettle is accidentally operated without water, a thermo-
stat will protect the kettle from overheating by switching off
the appliance.
Before filling in water, leave the kettle to cool down for 5-10
minutes.
If the first thermostat fails due to incorrect use, an additional
temperature limiter offers reliable protection.

the mains lead and immediately dispose of it. Never insert
it into a socket outlet as there is a very great risk of an
electric shock.
· The replacement of the plug at the mains lead has to be
done according to the following instructions:
Warning - This appliance must be earthed
Important: The wires in this mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
· green/yellow Earth
· blue Neutral
· brown Live
· As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings
identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
· the wire which is coloured green and yellow must be
connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter
E or by the earth symbol or coloured green or green and
yellow,
· the wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the
terminal which is marked the letter N or coloured black,
· the wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the
terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red.
· If a 13 A (BS 1363) plug is used it must be fitted with a 13
A fuse conforming to BS 1362 and be ASTA approved. If any
other type of plug is used, the appliance must be protected
by a 10 A fuse either in the plug or adapter or at the distri-
bution board.
If in doubt - consult a qualified electrician.
· Never use the plug without closing the fuse cover.
The appliance complies with the European directives 2006/95/
EC,2004/108/EC and 2005/32/EC.
This product may not be disposed of with the normal household
waste at the end of its service life but must be delivered to a
collecting point for recycling electrical and electronic appli-
ances. The materials are reusable in accordance with their
identification. You will make an important contribution to the
protection of our environment by recycling used appliances.

Des projections d‘eau pourraient les détériorer.
· Ne jamais laisser la bouilloire sans surveillance.
· Ne pas brancher l‘appareil sans eau.
· Retirer la bouilloire du socle pour la remplir.
· Ne remplir que de l‘eau pure, pas de lait ni de café ou
autres.
· Si l‘appareil est trop rempli ou est exploité avec le couvercle
ouvert, de l‘eau bouillante peut gicler.
· Ne pas toucher l‘appareil pendant l‘emploi et ne pas tirer au
cordon d‘alimentation.
· Prudence, l‘appareil devient très chaud. Risque de brûlures
dû à la vapeur qui s‘échappe. Ne saisir la bouilloire chaude
qu‘au manche et ne pas ouvrir le couvercle pour verser.
· Vider toujours la bouilloire complètement. Ne pas laisser de
l‘eau résiduelle dans l‘appareil durant un temps long.
· Cet appareil n‘est pas conçu pour être utilisé par des per-
sonnes (y compris des enfants) dont les facultés physiques,
sensorielles ou mentales sont restreintes ou manquant
d‘expérience et/ou de connaissances, sauf si elles sont sous
surveillance d‘une personne responsable de leur sécurité ou
si elles ont reçu des instructions sur l‘emploi de l‘appareil.
· Veillez à ce que les enfants n‘aient pas la possibilité de jouer
avec l‘appareil.
· Il faut retirer la fiche secteur :

· Si le cordon d‘alimentation de cet appareil est endommagé,
il doit être remplacé par la centrale service client du fabri-
cant ou une personne de qualification similaire. Les répara-
tions incorrectes peuvent générer des dangers considérables
pour l‘utilisateur.

Consignes de sécurité
· Ne raccorder l‘appareil qu‘à une prise de contact de sécurité
installée conformément aux prescriptions. Le cordon
d‘alimentation et la fiche doivent être secs.
· Ne pas tirer le cordon d‘alimentation sur des arêtes vives ou
le coincer, ne pas le laisser pendre et le protéger contre la
chaleur et l‘huile.
· N‘exploiter la bouilloire qu‘avec le socle afférent.
· Ne pas retirer la fiche de la prise secteur en tirant sur le cor-
don d‘alimentation ou avec des mains humides.
· Ne pas mettre l‘appareil en service voire retirer immédiate-
ment la fiche secteur si:
· l‘appareil ou le cordon d‘alimentation
est endommagé;
· l‘appareil a une fuite;
· vous soupçonnez une défaillance après
une chute ou autres.
Dans ces cas, faire réparer l‘appareil.

Nettoyage et entretien
Avant de nettoyer, retirer la fiche de courant. Ne jamais plonger
la bouilloire et le socle dans l‘eau. Rincer occasionnellement
l‘intérieur de la bouilloire. Ne nettoyer l‘extérieur de l‘appareil
qu‘avec un chiffon humide. Ne pas utiliser de nettoyant
corrosif et abrasif.
Le tamis dans la douille de déversement peut être retiré en
maintenant le couvercle ouvert, pour être nettoyé. Pour ce,
enfoncer la bride supérieure du tamis. Pour replacer le tamis, le
placer au milieu de la traverse et le faire enclencher ensuite vers
l‘avant. Le fond chauffant est en acier inox. Cependant si des
taches de rouille apparaissent, ceci n‘est dû qu‘à des dépôts qui
adhèrent à la surface. Il faut les éliminer immédiatement avec
un nettoyant pour acier inox.
Détartrage
Les dépôts de calcaire entraînent des pertes d‘énergie et
raccourcissent la durée de vie de l‘appareil. Il se débranche
prématurément si la couche de tartre est trop épaisse.
Il sera alors très difficile de l‘éliminer.
C‘est pourquoi détartrez régulièrement, l’appareil avec
un détartrant courant adapté au revêtement en acier
conformément aux indications du fabricant. Vider ensuite
la bouilloire et la rincer soigneusement à l‘eau froide.
Ne pas chauffer la solution pendant le détartrage.
Attention, vous n‘avez aucun droit de garantie pour les
dommages résultant du non-respect de la prescription de
détartrage.
Causes des dysfonctions
· L‘appareil se débranche avant que l‘eau ne soit arrivée à
ébullition
Le fond de la bouilloire est fortement entartré ou
· l‘appareil ne se débranche pas
Fermer le couvercle jusqu‘à ce qu‘il s‘enclenche.
Le tamis n‘est pas bien logé.
· La bouilloire déverse mal
Détartrer le tamis.
· L‘appareil ne se branche pas
Après un emploi sans ou avec trop peu d‘eau, l‘appareil
n‘est pas encore suffisamment refroidi.
Si la dysfonction ne peut pas être éliminée,
faire réparer l‘appareil.
Mise en service
Avant le premier emploi, nettoyer soigneusement l‘intérieur de
la bouilloire. Pour ce, ouvrir le couvercle en tirant sur la ferme-
ture. Dans la douille de déversement, un tamis retient les plus
grosses particules de calcaire lors du déversement.
La longueur du cordon d‘alimentation qui n‘est pas utilisée
peut être enroulée autour du fond du socle. Raccorder la fiche
secteur à une prise de courant de sécurité.
Remplir au moins autant d‘eau nécessaire pour que le niveau
d‘eau soit visible à la fenêtre, cependant au plus jusqu‘au repère
Max. Fermer le couvercle jusqu‘à ce qu‘il s‘enclenche. Le système
KochStopAutomatic ne fonctionnera en toute fiabilité que
dans ce cas. Poser la bouilloire à n‘importe quelle position sur
le socle. N‘appuyer vers le bas la touche de branchement sur le
manche qu‘à ce moment, le voyant lumineux dans la touche
de branchement indique que l‘appareil chauffe. La touche de
branchement ne s‘enclenche que si la bouilloire est placée sur
le socle.
En raison de la puissance absorbée élevée, il faut s‘attendre à la
formation de bruit pendant le chauffage.
Ne pas utiliser la première eau bouillie pour préparer des
aliments.
Automatique de débranchement
Peu de temps après que l‘eau bout, le KochStopAutomatic
débranche l‘appareil. Si la bouilloire n‘est remplie que de peu
d‘eau, la durée de débranchement se prolonge.
Si vous ne souhaitez que de l‘eau chaude, le processus de
chauffage pourra être interrompu à tout moment en actionnant
la touche de branchement. Le débranchement se fera aussi
automatiquement si vous soulevez la bouilloire de son socle. Si
vous souhaitez faire bouillir à nouveau de l‘eau après un certain
temps, vous pouvez de nouveau brancher l‘appareil.
Il est possible qu‘un peu d‘eau de condensation sorte des ouver-
tures d‘évacuation sur le fond de la bouilloire et s‘écoule sur le
bord du socle. Cet effet est d‘ordre technique et n‘entrave pas la
sécurité de l‘appareil.
Système de sécurité
Un thermostat protège la bouilloire contre la surchauffe en
cas de mise en marche sans eau involontaire et le thermostat
débranche l‘appareil.
Avant de remplir d‘eau, attendre impérativement env. 5-10
minutes pour laisser refroidir.
Si en raison d‘un emploi non conforme, le premier thermo-
stat est défaillant, un limiteur de température supplémentaire
assurera une protection supplémentaire.
