1 Introducon
1.1 Foreword
This user´s manual provides users and helpers with essenal informaon about the design, funcons, use and
maintenance of the Wolturnus Roadrunner, for children and adults. The manual contains the informaon neces-
sary to ensure safe use. It contains troubleshoong informaon with soluons (where/if applicable). The Road-
runner are an easy-propulsion acve sport product made with high-strength aluminum. The design make it easy
to use and operate, which can be worked independently. The Roadrunner are ideal for users who want to have
an acve life, outdoors.
The instrucons in this manual are essenal for safe and correct use of the product. Before using the Roadrun-
ner, read these instrucons carefully - pay special aenon to the safety instrucons. Furthermore, The infor-
maon provided ensures that the user gets the opmum advantage of the Roadrunners features and funcons.
Keep this user´s manual throughout the lifeme of the product: it contains informaon for future quesons and
it contains guidelines for adjusng and adapng the Roadrunner.
This user´s manual has been produced in accordance with DS EN82079-1 ’Preparaon of instrucons for use -
Structuring, content and presentaon’. It is divided into secons. The heading on each page contains the tle
of the overall secon. The footer of each page displays the page number, year, and site of origin of the user´s
manual.
1.2. Intended Use
The Wolturnus Roadrunner are designed for outdoor mobility. It is only suitable for persons who have a mobil-
ity handicap. Only equipment specied in this user´s manual may be used with the Roadrunner, and vice versa.
Wolturnus A/S does not guarantee this product if it is used with accessories or products from manufacturers
other than those specied as part of the modular system.
Use of the product for any purpose other than the aforemenoned will be considered incorrect. In the event of
incorrect use, the user - i.e. not the manufacturer - is liable for resulng damage to persons or property.
The Roadrunner may only be used by experienced users. For personal protecon and in order to ensure that the
product are used safely and correctly, it is a requirement that the user and helpers receive training and instruc-
ons prior to use of the product.
To ensure that the product are used correctly it has to be operated exclusively as described in this user´s manual.
The user bears nal responsibility for accident-free use.

The Roadrunner are of modular design and the versality makes it suitable for users who have dicules walk-
ing or who have a mobility handicap as a result of:
• Partly Paralysis
• Loss of a limb
• Limb defects or deformies
• Damaged or defecve limbs
• Other illnesses
When adapng the Roadrunner for the user, the following should be taken into account:
• Body, height and weight (max. load 120 kg.)
• Physical and mental constuon
• Age
• Surroundings

1.5 CE Compliance
The Roadrunner meet the requirements of the European Commission Direcve 93/42/EEC for medical devices.
The product is classied as a Class 1 on the basis of the classicaon criteria for medical devices in accordance
with secon lX of the direcve. It follows that Wolturnus A/S has therefore, as manufacturer with sole liability,
made a declaraon of conformity in accordance with appendix Vll of the direcve.
1.6 Liability
Wolturnus A/S’ warranty only applies if the product is used in accordance with the specied circumstances,
purpose and instrucons. The frame is covered by a 5-year warranty. Other parts manufactured by Wolturnus
are covered by a 2-year warranty.
Parts that are designed and manufactured by a third-party manufacturer and mounted on a Wolturnus Road-
runner are covered by a Wolturnus A/S warranty that is equal to the warranty provided to Wolturnus A/S by the
third-party manufacturer.
The product service and repairs may only be
carried out by authorised personnel trained by
Wolturnus A/S. In the event of problems, please
contact Wolturnus A/S
INFORMATION

To avoid the risk of ngers geng caught in the
rear wheel spokes or wheel locks, and to avoid
the risk of pping, children should not play with
the product.

Wolturnus A/S is not liable for injury or damage caused by:
• Components and parts that are not authorised by Wolturnus A/S.
• Alteraon to the original surface treatment.
• Repairs or alteraons to the product that are not carried out by Wolturnus A/S. All warranty repairs has to
be carried out by Wolturnus A/S.
• Incorrect use of the product (e.g. playing basketball or rugby), or loads that exceed the construcon or
specied maximum for the product (in accordance with direcve 93/42/EEC for medical devices).
• Circumstances in which the product is used by any party other than the original owner/user.
• Circumstances involving bad weather or dangerous situaons, or in general all types of predictable negli-
gence.
• Lack of maintenance.
• Cleaning with agents that contain acid or alkaline products, with high-pressure equipment or similar.

1.7 Returns
In the event that the product has to be returned to the supplier or to Wolturnus A/S, e.g. for repairs, it must be
transported in its original packaging for opmum protecon. It follows that Wolturnus A/S recommends that the
original packaging is retained throughout the lifeme of the product.

2.1 Symbols
2.2 Standards and Direcves
All safety informaon in this user´s manual is based on applicable naonal laws and regulaons in the EU. For
other countries, a declaraon of conformity with applicable laws and naonal regulaons is required.
In addion to the safety instrucons contained in this user´s manual, the user must be familiar with and must
comply with applicable regulaons from professional associaons, concerning accident prevenon and regar-
ding environmental protecon. All informaon contained in this user´s manual must be complied at all mes
without limitaons. The product are constructed in accordance with applicable regulaons. The products
safety level is approved by CE cercaon and a declaraon of conformity.
2.3 General Safety Instrucons
• The product may p over.
• The product must only be used according to instrucon in this manual.
• The product must only be used by trained users and must not be used by any other person than the user.
• The product must only be used to transport one person at a me.
• All safety instrucons in this user´s manual and all other relevant documentaon must be kept and com-
plied with throughout the lifeme of the product. The user´s manual must always be available to the user.
• The chest upholstery is re-resistent, but can be ignited. Therefore extreme care must be taken when in
vicinity of ammable items and re i.e. lit cigarees.
• To avoid discomfort when using the product, damaged saddel or chest upholstery should be replaced as
soon as possible.
• Do not force the product over obstacles when using it on slopes.
• The product must not be used on stairs.
• Avoid geng in or out of the product while on slopes.
• Do not park on slopes that exceed 7°, even when the brake pads are acvitated.
2.4 Safety Requirements for Transport, Assembly and Storage
• Only suitable liing mechanisms must be used when transporng the product.
• When adjusng and adapng the product, all aachment features - such as screws and nuts - must be
fastened according to the instrucons in this manual.
• The product is not intended to be used as a seat when in a motor vehicle.

2.5 Safety Requirements in Usage
• The user and helpers must always ensure that the product and its safety features are in a proper and safe
condion before usage.
• The product must be inspected by a Wolturnus-authorised specialist at least once a year in order to ensure
that the product is in proper working order and safe to use.
• The product must immediately cease to be used if any feature is defecve or not operaonal or if any other
circumstance arises which could lead to injury.
• Before starng to use the product, all mechanical adjustments (posioning the saddel, accessories, etc.)
must be carried out in accordance with the user’s individual preferences, prerequirements and abilies.
These adjustments may only be carried out by specialists authorized by Wolturnus.
• 100 kg is the maximum load for the product. It must not be exceeded.
• The res must be inspected visually before use to ensure that there is sucient tread depth and correct re
pressure. The correct pressure is printed on the re.
• When used on public roads, the user must obey applicable trac rules.
• The product should not be used on slippery surfaces (e.g. ice) or on very rough terrain (e.g. on gravel or
small stones).
• Change direcon at reduced speed only.
• The product must only be lied by gripping the frame parts.
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, to high humidity or to environments with ch-
lorine (e.g. in saunas or at swimming pools).
• The product’s surface temperature can raise if it is exposed to extreme heat, e.g. in strong sunlight for an
extended period of me. There is also a risk of very low surface temperature in the event of extremely cold
weather.
• Never place ngers between the wheel spokes or between the rear wheel and the wheel locks. Cauon is
advised when travelling through narrow passages.
2.6 User requirements
• Before starng to use the product, the user and any helpers must read the user´s manual thoroughly and
be familiar with its contents.
• The product must only be used by trained users. To ensure this, the user and any helpers has to receive
instrucon in use of the chair from Wolturnus-authorised specialists.

3 Product Descripon
3.1 Roadrunner
The Roadrunner has a frame in tempered 7020 lightweight aluminum. The Roadrunner becomes rigid and ro-
bust, while being one of the lightest products in the sport framerunning. This secures opmal energy transfer-
ring of the athlete’s forces to forward propulsion.
The Roadrunner can be tailored to the individual user’s needs and wishes, with its mul adjustable saddel,
chestplate and handlebar. Wolturnus oers several Accesory opons, which will be menoned in secon 7. Ac-
cesories and Equipment.

4 Delivery and Preparaons before Usage
4.1 Delivery
The delivery covers:
• The Roadrunner with main components
• The user´s manual
• Selected accessories (Accessories range. Go to secon 7 in this manual)
Wolturnus A/S delivers the product ready for use. All conguraons that are part of the order have been made
or will be set up upon delivery by the supplier or a consultant. The product is adapted to meet the user’s per-
sonal preferences and requirements.
The product’s funcons can be tested by following the instrucons in secon 6 in this manual.
Troubleshoong: see secon 9.
4.2 Preparaon before Usage
Before starng to use the product, it must be inspected to ensure that it is complete (Image 3) and that all
funcons and features are in proper working order. Wolturnus A/S delivers the product ready for use.
The range of accesories are determined by the
product conguraon that the user chooses
when ordering the Roadrunner.

Transport and storage
5 Transport and Storage
5.1 Transport and storage
For transport or storage, the rear wheels can be removed. This makes it easy to handle and saves space. While
in storage keep the product in a clean and dry environment.
5.2 Transfer
The method of transfer between wheelchair and Roadrunner is individually selected reecng the preferences
of the user. The most common method is transferring from the back.
The following descripon is based on transfer without third-party help and from one wheelchair to the Roadrun-
ner.
Geng into the Roadrunner
• Park the wheelchair behind/inbetween the rear wheels of the Roadrunner.
• Slowly standup, while keeping your balance. Use the two main curved tubes on the frame as support and
posion yourselves over the saddle.
• slowly drop down unto the saddle.
Geng out of the wheelchair
• Park the wheelchair behind/inbetween Roadrunner, with the wheelchairs front towards the back of the
Roadrunner.
• Li your body upwards from the saddle using the two main curved tubes on the frame as support, and
slowly drop down into the parked wheelchair.

6 Adjustment and set-up
6.1 Adjustable Features
The Roadrunner can be adjusted in various ways.
The following is Adjustable By the User:
• Saddle height, depth and angle
• Chestplate height, depth and angle
• Handlebar height and depth
6.2 Tools
The following tools (see image 4) are necessary for adjustments and sengs described in this secon:
• 4 mm Allen key
• 5 mm Allen key
• 8 mm wrench
• Measuring tape, a foot rule or a ruler
Risk of accident due to loose screws
Aer loosening any threaded screws, they must be replaced with new screws or secured once more with a
medium-strength thread paste (e.g. EuroLock A24.20). Aer making adjustments to the product, all screws
and all nuts must be ghtened correctly.
CAUTION!
Damaged tools or incorrect use of tools can result in injury or in damage to the product.

1. When the Roadrunner is received, it is disassembled
into the following parts in the cardboard box. During
setup, it’s recommended to have the frame
on a so surface.
2. Insert the front fork from the boom as shown
in the picture. The front fork must turn, so that the
cable and brake is poinng backwards.
3. Place the o-ring and headset cover over the front
fork in the order shown in the picture.
4. Place the clamp with the compensator over the
front fork. The arm with the compensator must angle
downwards and be on the same side as the welded
bushing.

5. The end of the compensator is screwed with a
4 mm Allen key through the welded bushing on the
frame.
6. The clamp is pushed all the way down to the
headset cap and ghtened with a 5 mm Allen key. The
opening on the clamp must point straight back, so the
compensator should be pushed back while ghtening.
7. The handlebar must now be placed on top of the front
fork. The buon on the le side is pushed back and the
handle is lied up. There will be clearance for a 5 mm
Allen key, to clamp the handlebar to the front fork.
8. When the handlebar is clamped to the front fork
(Note! Make sure there is no gap between the hand-
lebar, clamp and fork to frame) the handlebar can be
clamped with a 4 mm Allen key so it points forward.
9. The front wheel can now be mounted on the front
fork and the quick release can ghtened so the
wheel is xed. Make sure that the brake disc is cor-
rectly placed between the brake pads.
10. Secure the rear wheels by pressing down the
buon and pushing the quick release into the
rear axle.

11. Insert the seat post into the seat tube. 12. Place the seat post so that there is a hole
through to the quick release. Press the buon down
at the top and insert it through the tube.
13. The seat post can then be ghtened with a 5
mm Allen key when the desired posion is reached.
14. The chest plate is inserted into the tube
poinng upwards.
15. Clamp the chest plate at the desired height
and angle with a 5 mm Allen key.
16. Finally, it is important to check that the front
wheel and handlebar point forward. If they do not,
loosen the screws aached to the front fork and
straighten them. Onse secured, reghten all screws.

6.4 Adjustment of the saddle
The saddle are fastened by bolts and a quick release which can be loosened with a 5 mm allen key. The saddle
can then be height, depth and angle adjusted to the individuals needs. To depth adjust a bolt needs to be loose-
ned and the quick release removed (see image 5 and 6). The saddle can be adjusted in intervals of 15 mm. To
height adjust loosen the bolt (see image 7) and move the saddle to the desired height. The saddle can be angle
adjusted by loosening the bolt underneath (see image 8) and then by turning the screw behind (see image 9)
6.5 Adjustment of the handlebar
The handlebar can be adjusted by pressing down on the boom with an arrow on it (see image 10). When loose-
ned one can li up the tap and rotate it to height and depth adjust the handlebar.

6.6 Adjustment of the chestplate
The chestplate are fastened by several bolts which can be loosened with a 5mm allen key. the chestplate can
then be height, depth and angle adjusted to the individuals needs (see image 11 and 12)
6.7 Adjustment of the compensator
The compensator can be adjusted to either give more or less stability in the handlebar. how s the handlebar
feels is determined by the placement of the compensator. There are mulble holes (see image 13) and the closer
the compensator is towards the frame the more easily the handlebar can be moved. The compensator can be
moved by loosening the nut with a wrench and a 4mm allen key.

Accessories and equipment
7 Accessories and equipment
Extra accessories and equipment are available for the Roadrunner. The accessories are described in this secon.
To see the full range of accessories and order informaon go to www.wolturnus.com.
7.1 Wheels
The Roadrunner can be ordered in dirent wheel sizes ranging from 22” Schwalbe Marathon to 26” Schwalbe
Marathon. The dierent sizes can all be mounted on the same frame, making it possible to change the wheels
aer you have ordered the Roadrunner.
7.2 Parking brakes
The Roadrunner can be ordered with either push or pull parking brakes which will be clamped on to the rear
wheels (see image 15).
7.3 Disc brake for frontwheel
As a standard the Roadrunner comes with a disc brake for the front wheel, which can be operated with a brake
lever on the handlebar (see image 16)
7.4 Compensator
The Roadrunner is equiped with a high grade compensator for the steering. This makes the Roadrunner very
stable and reliable on the track.
7.5 BodyPoint strap
On the chestplate one or two BodyPoint monoex straps can be mounted (see image 14). This can be used to
help keep the user on the Roadrunner for a safe and comfortable run.
