1 Introducon
1.1 Foreword
This user´s manual provides users and helpers with essenal informaon about the design, funcons, use and
maintenance of the Wolturnus Roadrunner, for children and adults. The manual contains the informaon neces-
sary to ensure safe use. It contains troubleshoong informaon with soluons (where/if applicable). The Road-
runner are an easy-propulsion acve sport product made with high-strength aluminum. The design make it easy
to use and operate, which can be worked independently. The Roadrunner are ideal for users who want to have
an acve life, outdoors.
The instrucons in this manual are essenal for safe and correct use of the product. Before using the Roadrun-
ner, read these instrucons carefully - pay special aenon to the safety instrucons. Furthermore, The infor-
maon provided ensures that the user gets the opmum advantage of the Roadrunners features and funcons.
Keep this user´s manual throughout the lifeme of the product: it contains informaon for future quesons and
it contains guidelines for adjusng and adapng the Roadrunner.
This user´s manual has been produced in accordance with DS EN82079-1 ’Preparaon of instrucons for use -
Structuring, content and presentaon’. It is divided into secons. The heading on each page contains the tle
of the overall secon. The footer of each page displays the page number, year, and site of origin of the user´s
manual.
1.2. Intended Use
The Wolturnus Roadrunner are designed for outdoor mobility. It is only suitable for persons who have a mobil-
ity handicap. Only equipment specied in this user´s manual may be used with the Roadrunner, and vice versa.
Wolturnus A/S does not guarantee this product if it is used with accessories or products from manufacturers
other than those specied as part of the modular system.
Use of the product for any purpose other than the aforemenoned will be considered incorrect. In the event of
incorrect use, the user - i.e. not the manufacturer - is liable for resulng damage to persons or property.
The Roadrunner may only be used by experienced users. For personal protecon and in order to ensure that the
product are used safely and correctly, it is a requirement that the user and helpers receive training and instruc-
ons prior to use of the product.
To ensure that the product are used correctly it has to be operated exclusively as described in this user´s manual.
The user bears nal responsibility for accident-free use.

The Roadrunner are of modular design and the versality makes it suitable for users who have dicules walk-
ing or who have a mobility handicap as a result of:
• Partly Paralysis
• Loss of a limb
• Limb defects or deformies
• Damaged or defecve limbs
• Other illnesses
When adapng the Roadrunner for the user, the following should be taken into account:
• Body, height and weight (max. load 120 kg.)
• Physical and mental constuon
• Age
• Surroundings

1.5 CE Compliance
The Roadrunner meet the requirements of the European Commission Direcve 93/42/EEC for medical devices.
The product is classied as a Class 1 on the basis of the classicaon criteria for medical devices in accordance
with secon lX of the direcve. It follows that Wolturnus A/S has therefore, as manufacturer with sole liability,
made a declaraon of conformity in accordance with appendix Vll of the direcve.
1.6 Liability
Wolturnus A/S’ warranty only applies if the product is used in accordance with the specied circumstances,
purpose and instrucons. The frame is covered by a 5-year warranty. Other parts manufactured by Wolturnus
are covered by a 2-year warranty.
Parts that are designed and manufactured by a third-party manufacturer and mounted on a Wolturnus Road-
runner are covered by a Wolturnus A/S warranty that is equal to the warranty provided to Wolturnus A/S by the
third-party manufacturer.
The product service and repairs may only be
carried out by authorised personnel trained by
Wolturnus A/S. In the event of problems, please

INFORMATION

Wolturnus A/S is not liable for injury or damage caused by:
• Components and parts that are not authorised by Wolturnus A/S.
• Alteraon to the original surface treatment.
• Repairs or alteraons to the product that are not carried out by Wolturnus A/S. All warranty repairs has to
be carried out by Wolturnus A/S.
• Incorrect use of the product (e.g. playing basketball or rugby), or loads that exceed the construcon or
specied maximum for the product (in accordance with direcve 93/42/EEC for medical devices).
• Circumstances in which the product is used by any party other than the original owner/user.
• Circumstances involving bad weather or dangerous situaons, or in general all types of predictable negli-
gence.
• Lack of maintenance.
• Cleaning with agents that contain acid or alkaline products, with high-pressure equipment or similar.

1.7 Returns
In the event that the product has to be returned to the supplier or to Wolturnus A/S, e.g. for repairs, it must be
transported in its original packaging for opmum protecon. It follows that Wolturnus A/S recommends that the
original packaging is retained throughout the lifeme of the product.

2.1 Symbols

All safety informaon in this user´s manual is based on applicable naonal laws and regulaons in the EU. For
other countries, a declaraon of conformity with applicable laws and naonal regulaons is required.
In addion to the safety instrucons contained in this user´s manual, the user must be familiar with and must
comply with applicable regulaons from professional associaons, concerning accident prevenon and regar-
ding environmental protecon. All informaon contained in this user´s manual must be complied at all mes
without limitaons. The product are constructed in accordance with applicable regulaons. The products
safety level is approved by CE cercaon and a declaraon of conformity.
2.3 General Safety Instrucons
• The product may p over.
• The product must only be used according to instrucon in this manual.
• The product must only be used by trained users and must not be used by any other person than the user.
• The product must only be used to transport one person at a me.
• All safety instrucons in this user´s manual and all other relevant documentaon must be kept and com-
plied with throughout the lifeme of the product. The user´s manual must always be available to the user.
• The chest upholstery is re-resistent, but can be ignited. Therefore extreme care must be taken when in
vicinity of ammable items and re i.e. lit cigarees.
• To avoid discomfort when using the product, damaged saddel or chest upholstery should be replaced as
soon as possible.
• Do not force the product over obstacles when using it on slopes.
• The product must not be used on stairs.
• Avoid geng in or out of the product while on slopes.
• Do not park on slopes that exceed 7°, even when the brake pads are acvitated.
2.4 Safety Requirements for Transport, Assembly and Storage
• Only suitable liing mechanisms must be used when transporng the product.
• When adjusng and adapng the product, all aachment features - such as screws and nuts - must be
fastened according to the instrucons in this manual.
• The product is not intended to be used as a seat when in a motor vehicle.

2.5 Safety Requirements in Usage
• The user and helpers must always ensure that the product and its safety features are in a proper and safe
condion before usage.
• The product must be inspected by a Wolturnus-authorised specialist at least once a year in order to ensure
that the product is in proper working order and safe to use.
• The product must immediately cease to be used if any feature is defecve or not operaonal or if any other
circumstance arises which could lead to injury.
• Before starng to use the product, all mechanical adjustments (posioning the saddel, accessories, etc.)
must be carried out in accordance with the user’s individual preferences, prerequirements and abilies.
These adjustments may only be carried out by specialists authorized by Wolturnus.
• 100 kg is the maximum load for the product. It must not be exceeded.
• The res must be inspected visually before use to ensure that there is sucient tread depth and correct re
pressure. The correct pressure is printed on the re.
• When used on public roads, the user must obey applicable trac rules.
• The product should not be used on slippery surfaces (e.g. ice) or on very rough terrain (e.g. on gravel or
small stones).
• Change direcon at reduced speed only.
• The product must only be lied by gripping the frame parts.
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, to high humidity or to environments with ch-
lorine (e.g. in saunas or at swimming pools).
• The product’s surface temperature can raise if it is exposed to extreme heat, e.g. in strong sunlight for an
extended period of me. There is also a risk of very low surface temperature in the event of extremely cold
weather.
• Never place ngers between the wheel spokes or between the rear wheel and the wheel locks. Cauon is
advised when travelling through narrow passages.
2.6 User requirements
• Before starng to use the product, the user and any helpers must read the user´s manual thoroughly and
be familiar with its contents.
• The product must only be used by trained users. To ensure this, the user and any helpers has to receive
instrucon in use of the chair from Wolturnus-authorised specialists.

3 Product Descripon
3.1 Roadrunner
The Roadrunner has a frame in tempered 7020 lightweight aluminum. The Roadrunner becomes rigid and ro-
bust, while being one of the lightest products in the sport framerunning. This secures opmal energy transfer-
ring of the athlete’s forces to forward propulsion.
The Roadrunner can be tailored to the individual user’s needs and wishes, with its mul adjustable saddel,
chestplate and handlebar. Wolturnus oers several Accesory opons, which will be menoned in secon 7. Ac-
cesories and Equipment.
