GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS

- This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent
or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid
a hazard.

1) TRAINING
a) Read the instructions carefully. Be familiar
with the controls and the proper use of the
appliance;
b) Never allow people unfamiliar with these
instructions to use the appliance. Local
regulations may restrict the age of the
operator;
c) Never operate the appliance while people,
especially children, or pets are nearby;
d) The operator or user is responsible for
accidents or hazards occurring to other
people or their property.
2) PREPARATION
a) While operating the appliance, always
wear substantial footwear and long
trousers. Do not operate the equipment
when barefoot or wearing open sandals;
b) Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery
that can be drawn into the air inlet. Keep
long hair away from the air inlets.
c) Wear protective goggles while operating
d) To prevent dust irritation the wearing of a
face mask is recommended
e) Before using, check the supply and
extension cord for signs of damage and
aging. Do not use the appliance if the cord
is damaged or worn.
f) Never operate the appliance with defective
guards or shields, or without safety
devices, for example debris collector in
place
g) Only use a weather proof extension cable
fitted with a coupler according to IEC
60320-2-3.
h) The appliance should being supplied via
a residual current device (RCD) with a
tripping current of not more than 30mA is
recommended.
i) If an extension cord is used, make sure it
is for outdoor use and marked as such.The
recommended size of extension cord is not
lighter than 1mm2.
3) OPERATION
a) Always direct the cable to the rear away
from the appliance.
b) If the cord becomes damaged during use,
disconnect the supply cord from the mains
immediately. DO NOTTOUCHTHE CORD
BEFORE DISCONNECTINGTHE SUPPLY.
c) Do not carry the appliance by the cable.
d) Disconnect the appliance from the mains
supply
- Whenever you leave the machine;
- Before clearing a blockage;
- Before checking, cleaning or working on
the appliance;
- If the appliance starts to vibrate
abnormally.
e) Operate the appliance only in daylight or
in good artificial light.
f) Do not overreach and keep your balance at
all times.
g) Always be sure of your footing on slopes.
h) Walk, never run;
i) Keep all cooling air inlets clear of debris.
j) Never blow debris in the direction of
bystanders.
4) MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

If you need to replace the fitted plug then
follow the instructions below.
IMPORTANT
The wires in the mains lead are colored in
accordance with the following code:
Blue = Neutral
Brown = Live
As the colors of the wires in the mains lead of
this appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals
in your plug, proceed as follows.The wire
which is coloured blue must be connected to
the terminal which is marked with N.The wire
which is coloured brown must be connected
to the terminal which is marked with L.
WARNING! Never connect live or
neutral wires to the earth terminal of the
plug. Only fit an approved BS1363/A plug and
the correct rated fuse.
NOTE: If a moulded plug is fitted and has to
be removed take great care in disposing of the
plug and severed cable, it must be destroyed

1) TRAINING

2) VORBEREITUNG
a) Tragen Sie beim Mähen stets festes
Schuhwerk und eine lange Hose. Den
nicht barfuß oder mit offenen Sandalen
benutzen.
b) Tragen Sie keine lose Kleidung oder
Schmuck, der in den Lufteinlass gezogen
werden kann. Halten Sie langes Haar von
den Lufteinlässen fern.
c) Tragen Sie bei der Arbeit
Schutzhandschuhe.
d) Da bei der Arbeit viel Staub anfallen
kann, sollten Sie grundsätzlich eine
Staubschutzmaske tragen.
e) Überprüfung Sie Netzkabel und
Verlängerungskabel gründlich auf
Beschädigungen und Verschleiß, bevor
Sie mit dem Gerät arbeiten. Benutzen Sie
das Gerät nicht mit beschädigten oder
verschlissenen Netzkabeln.
f) Arbeiten Sie niemals mit dem Gerät,
wenn Schutzeinrichtungen oder
Abschirmungen beschädigt sind.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät niemals ohne
angebrachte Sicherheitseinrichtungen, z. B.
Auffangbeutel.
g) -Verwenden Sie ausschließlich wetterfeste
Verlängerungskabel mit Anschlussdose
nach IEC 60320-2-3.
h) Es wird empfohlen, einen
Fehlerstromschutzschalter (FI-Schalter) mit
einem Auslösestrom von maximal 30mA
zu verwenden.
i) Es dürfen nur Verlängerungskabel
verwendet werden, die für einen
Einsatz im Freien zugelassen und
dementsprechend gekennzeichnet sind.
Das Verlängerungskabel muss einen
Leitungsquerschnitt von mindestens 1
mm2aufweisen.
3) BETRIEB
a) Lassen Sie das Netzkabel grundsätzlich
vom Gerät nach hinten weg verlaufen.
b) Falls das Netzkabel im Betrieb beschädigt
werden sollte, trennen Sie sofort die
Stromversorgung. BERÜHREN SIE DAS
NETZKABEL NICHT, BEVOR SIE DIE
STROMVERSORGUNG UNTERBROCHEN
HABEN.

c) Tragen Sie das Gerät nicht am Kabel
herum.
d) Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose:
- immer wenn Sie die Maschine verlassen
- ehe Sie eine Blockierung beseitigen
- vor Wartungs-, Reinigungs- oder sonstigen
Arbeiten an der Maschine
- falls der Rasenmäher plötzlich
ungewöhnlich stark zu vibrieren beginnt
(sofort prüfen).
e) Nur beiTageslicht oder gutem künstlichen
Licht mähen.
f) Beugen Sie sich nicht zu weit nach vorne,
achten Sie immer auf ihr Gleichgewicht.
g) Auf schrägen Flächen stets auf sicheren
Tritt achten.
h) Gehen Sie; rennen Sie niemals mit dem
Gerät.
i) Halten Sie sämtliche Lufteinlässe frei.
j) Blasen Sie niemals Gegenstände in
Richtung Zuschauer.
4) WARTUNG UND AUFBEWAHRUNG
a) Den Festsitz aller Schrauben, Muttern und
Bolzen sicherstellen, um zu gewährleisten,
dass sich der Rasenmäher in einem
betriebssicheren Zustand befindet.
b) Überprüfen Sie den Auffangbehälter
regelmäßig auch Verschleiß und sonstige
Beschädigungen.
c) Abgenutzte oder beschädigteTeile
sicherheitshalber auswechseln.
d) Verwenden Sie ausschließlich Original-
Ersatzteile und Originalzubehör.
e) Lagern Sie das Gerät grundsätzlich an
einem trockenen Ort.
