WARNING! When using electric hedge
trimmers, basic safety precautions
should always be followed to reduce the risk
of fire, electric shock, and personal injury,
including the following:
Important safety instructions
1. FOR ALL DOUBLE-INSULATED HEDGE
TRIMMERS
1) Replacement parts
When servicing use only identical
replacement parts.
2) Polarized appliance connections.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this
appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other) and will require
the use of a polarized extension cord.
The appliance plug will fit into a polarized
extension cord only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully into the extension cord,
reverse the plug. If the plug still does not
fit, obtain a correct polarized extension
cord. A polarized extension cord will
require the use of a polarized wall outlet.
This plug will fit into the polarized wall
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit
fully into the wall outlet, reverse the plug. If
the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician to install the proper wall outlet.
Do not change the equipment plug,
extension cord receptacle, or extension
cord plug in any way.
2. FOR ALL HEDGE TRIMMERS
1) Avoid dangerous environment – don’t use
hedge trimmers in damp or wet location.
2) Don’t use in rain.
3) Keep children away – all visitors should be
kept at a distance from work area.
4) Dress properly – do not wear loose clothing
or jewelry.They can be caught in moving
parts. Use of rubber gloves and substantial
footwear is recommended when working
outdoors.Wear protective hair covering to
contain long hair.
5) Use safety glasses – always use face or
dust mask if operation is dusty.
6) Ground fault circuit interrupter (gfci)
protection should be provided on the
circuit(s) or outlet(s) to be used for the
hedge trimmer. Receptacles are available
having built-in gfci protection and may be
used for this measure of safety.
7) Use right appliance – do not use appliance
for any job except that for which it is
intended.
8) Avoid unintentional starting – don’t carry
plugged-in hedge trimmer with finger on
switch. Be sure switch is off when plugging
in.
9) Danger – risk of cut – keep hands away
from blades – keep both hands on handles
when power is on.
Do not attempt to remove cut material nor
hold material to be cut when blades are
moving. Make sure trimmer switch is off when
clearing jammed material from blades. Do not
grasp the exposed cutting blades or cutting
edges when picking up or holding the hedge
trimmer. Caution – blades coast after turn off.
10)Don’t force hedge trimmer – it will do the
job better and with less likelihood of a
risk of injury at the rate for which it was
designed.
11)Don’t overreach – keep proper footing and
balance at all times.
12)Stay alert – watch what you are doing. Use
common sense. Do not operate hedge
trimmer when you are tired.
13)Store idle hedge trimmer indoors – when
not in use, hedge trimmer should be stored
indoors in dry, and high or locked-up place
– out of reach of children.
14)Maintain hedge trimmer with care – keep
cutting edge sharp and clean for best
performance and to reduce the risk of
injury. Follow instructions for lubricating
and changing accessories. Inspect hedge
trimmer cord periodically, and if damaged,
have it repaired by an authorized service
facility. Inspect extension cords periodically
and replace if damaged. Keep handles dry,
clean, and free from oil and grease.
15)Check damaged parts – before further use
of the hedge trimmer, a guard or other
part that is damaged should be carefully
checked to determine that it will operate

Check for alignment of moving parts,
binding of moving parts, breakage of parts,
mounting, and any other condition that
may affect its operation. A guard or other
part that is damaged should be properly

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING –If the hedge trimmer is shipped
without handle or guard in place, DO NOT

1) Refers the operator to the Important Safety

2) The trimmer shall not be used to cut stems
greater than 9/16” inch thick.
3) When operating the trimmer, keep
extension cord behind trimmer. Never
drape it over hedge being trimmer.

BATTERY-OPERATED HEDGE TRIMMERS
For all battery-operated hedge trimmers:
1) Do not charge hedge trimmer in rain, or in
wet location.
2) Do not use battery-operated hedge trimmer
in rain.
3) When replacing batteries, all batteries
should be replaced at the same time.
Mixing fresh and discharged batteries
could increase internal cell pressure and
rupture the discharge battery(ies). (Applies
to products employing more than one
separately replaceable primary battery.)
4) When inserting batteries into this product,
the proper polarity or direction must be
observed. Reverse insertion of batteries
can result in leakage or explosion. (Applies
to product employing more than one
separately replaceable primary battery.)
5) Remove or disconnect battery before
servicing, cleaning, or removing material
from the hedge trimmer.
For all battery-operated products employing a
detachable or separable battery:
1) Use only the following type and size
battery(ies): WA3512, WA3513
2) Do not dispose of the battery (ies) in a
fire.The cell may explode. Check with
local codes for possible special disposal
instructions.
3) Do not open or mutilate the battery (ies).
Released electrolyte is corrosive and may
cause damage to the eyes or skin. It may
be toxic if swallowed.
4) Exercise care in handling batteries in order
not to short the battery with conducting
materials such as rings, bracelets, and
keys.The battery or conductor may
overheat and cause burns.
For a battery-operated hedge trimmer
employing a vented wet cell battery supply
intended to be initially or periodically filled
by the user : CAUTION:The electrolyte is a
dilute sulfuric acid that is harmful to the skin
and eyes. It is electrically conductive and
corrosive.The following procedures should be
observed:
1) Wear full eye protection and protective
clothing.
2) If electrolyte contacts the skin, wash it off
immediately with water.
3) If electrolyte contacts the eyes. Flush
thoroughly and immediately with water.
Seek medical attention.
SAFE OPERATION PRACTICES FOR
HEDGE TRIMMER
1. Safety Instructions
1.1 Training
1) Read the operating and service instruction
manual carefully. Be thoroughly familiar
with the controls and the proper use of the
equipment.
2) Never allow children to operate the hedger

3) Keep the area of operation clear of all
persons, particularly small children, and
pets.
4) Do not use the hedger trimmer for any job
except that for which it is intended.
1.2 Preparation
1) Trimming only in daylight or in good
artificial light.
2) Never operate the equipment on wet
brush. Always be sure of your footing.
Keep a firm hold on the handle and walk,
never run.
1.3 Operation
1) Do not put hands or feet near or under
moving parts.
2) If the equipment should start to vibrate
abnormally, stop the motor and check
immediately for the cause. Vibration is
generally a warning of trouble.
3) Stop the motor and unplug whenever you
leave the equipment, and before making
any repairs or inspections.
4) Never operate the hedger trimmer without
proper guards, plates, or other safety
protective devices in place.
5) Do not wash with a hose, avoid getting
water in motor and electrical connections.
1.4 Maintenance
1) Check the blade at frequent intervals for
proper tightness.
2) Keep al nuts, bolts, and screws tight to
be sure the equipment is in safe working
condition.
3) Replace the blade if it is bent or cracked.
An unbalanced blade causes vibration
that could damage the motor drive unit or
cause personal injury.
4) Sharpen a dull blade equally at each end to
maintain the balance.
5) Clear the blade thoroughly.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! Do not use the product
without attaching the guard and
front handle.
1. GUARD ASSEMBLY
Insert the guard into the slot as illustrated in
Fig A; making sure it is securely attached.
Use two screws to fix the guard securely.
2. FRONT HANDLE ASSEMBLY
The front handle must be assembled before
use:
1) Attach the handle to the housing, aligning
the mark to housing and handle(See B,C,D)
2) Insert the locking bolt into the handle and
fully tighten the bolt. (Fig E )
3) Check whether handle is firmly secured, if
not retighten the locking bolt.
3. BEFORE USING YOUR CORDLESS
HEDGE TRIMMER
WARNING! The charger and battery
pack are specially designed to work
together so do not attempt to use any other
devices. Never insert or allow metallic objects
into your charger or battery pack connections
because of an electrical failure and hazard will
occur.
Your battery pack is UNCHARGED and you
must charge once before use.
The battery charger supplied is matched to the
Li-ion battery installed in the machine. Do not
use another battery charger.
4. CHARGING YOUR BATTERY PACK
The Li-ion battery is protected against deep
discharging. When the battery is empty,
the machine is switched off by means of a
protective circuit:The trimmer r no longer
rotates.
In a warm environment or after heavy use, the
battery pack may become too hot to permit
charging. Allow time for the battery to cool
down before recharging.
5. INSTALL THE CHARGER STANDS (See
Fig F1)
Slide the two charger stands (a) into the both
grooves on back of the charger.The charger
can stand as shown in Fig.F1.
6. HOW TO CHARGE YOUR BATTERY
PACK (SEE F2)
Connect the battery charger to the power
supply and the green light (12) will illuminate.
Slide the battery pack into the charger to
make the connections.The green light (12) will
be OFF and the red light (11) will illuminate
to show charging has started. A discharged
battery at normal ambient temperature will
take approximately 0.5 hour to reach full
charge. When charging is completed the green
light (12) will illuminate while the red light (11)
is OFF.
NOTE: This charger is designed to detect
some problems that can arise with battery
pack. (See table below)

7. TO REMOVE OR INSTALL BATTERY
PACK (See Fig G)
Depress the battery release button (7) to
release battery pack from your hedge trimmer.
After recharging, insert the battery pack into
trimmer’s battery port. A simple push and
slight pressure will be sufficient. Check to see
if the battery is fully secured.
8. STARTING AND STOPPING
BEFORE STARTING YOUR HEDGE
TRIMMER
Remove blade sheath (9).
TO START YOUR HEDGE TRIMMER
Your hedge trimmer is equipped with two
switch levers (5 & 6). Both switch levers need

to be pressed for the hedge trimmer to start.
Depress and hold the front switch lever (5) and
press the rear switch lever (6) (See H).
TO STOP YOUR HEDGE TRIMMER
Move hedge trimmer away from cutting area
before stopping.
To stop, release one of the switch levers (See
I).
WARNING: If any parts are missing,
damaged or broken, do not operate
your hedge trimmer until all damaged
parts have been replaced or repaired.
Failure to do so could result in serious
personal injury. DO NOT USE WITHOUT
HANDLE AND GUARD
9. HOW TO USE YOUR HEDGE TRIMMER
Note that the switch lever can be activated
on three sides, giving you many choices for
a comfortable grip. Before cutting an area,
inspect it first and remove any foreign objects
that could become thrown or entangled in
the blades. Always hold the trimmer with
both hands and with the blade away from you
before turning it on.
When trimming new growth, use a wide
sweeping action so that the stems are fed
directly into the blade. (See J & K)
Allow the cutting blades to reach full speed
before cutting. When operating, keep the
cutting blades away from people and objects
such as walls, large stones, trees, vehicles, etc.
If the blade stalls, immediately stop the
trimmer. Release the two switch levels (5 & 6)
before attempting to clear jammed debris from
the cutting blades.
Wear gloves when trimming thorny or prickly
growth.
Do not attempt to cut stems that are too thick
for the cutting blade.
TOP CUTTING
Use a wide sweeping motion (See J). A slight
downward tilt of the cutting blades in the
direction of motion gives the best cutting
results.
SIDE CUTTING
When trimming the sides of the hedge,
begin at the bottom and cut upwards (See
K), tapering the hedge inward at the top.This
shape will expose more of the hedge, resulting
in a more uniformed growth.
10. CLEANING
REMOVETHE BATTERY PACK. Use a soft brush
to remove debris from all air intakes and
cutting blade.
Wipe the surface with a dry cloth.
WARNING: Never use water for
cleaning your trimmer. Do not clean with
chemicals, including petrol, or solvents as this
may damage your trimmer.
LUBRICATING THE CUTTING BLADE
For easier operation and longer life, lubricate
the cutting blades before and after each use.
Before lubricating, make sure the battery is
removed from the trimmer. Apply oil between
the two blades periodically (See L).
AT THE END OF THE CUTTING SEASON
Clean your trimmer thoroughly.
Check that all nuts and bolts are secure.
Visually inspect the trimmer for any worn or
damaged parts.
11. STORING YOUR HEDGE TRIMMER
1) ASSEMBLY THE WALL MOUNT
BRACKET (See Fig M)
Attach the wall-mount bracket to the wall with
the screws provided.
Tighten all the screws securely. Carefully check
the bracket after mounting to make sure that
no movement can occur during use.
WARNING: Always make sure your
wall-mount bracket is securely mounted
to the wall. Failure to do so could result in an
accident, resulting in possible serious personal
injury.
2) STORING YOUR HEDGE TRIMMER
Insert the hedge trimmer into blade sheath,
and then store the hedge trimmer into the wall
mount bracket as illustrated (See Fig N)
Store in a dry place where your trimmer can
be protected from damage.

polarisé. Un cordon prolongateur polarisé

Cette fiche va s’accoupler seulement d’une
façon à la prise murale polarisée. Si la
fiche ne s’accouple pas complètement

Inspectez le cordon d’alimentation
électrique de l’appareil périodiquement,
et si endommagé, faites le réparer par un
dépôt de service autorisé. Inspectez les
cordons prolongateurs périodiquement
et remplacez si endommagés. Gardez les
poignées sèches, propres, et libres d’huile
et de graisse.
15)Vérifier les pièces endommagées. Avant
d’employer l’appareil, une garde ou
autre pièce endommagée devrait être
soigneusement vérifiée afin de déterminer
qu’elle fonctionnera correctement et
exécutera la fonction pour laquelle elle a
été conçue. Vérifier l’alignement des parties
mobiles, leur pincement, la brisure de
pièces, montage, et toute autre condition
qui peut affecter son opération. Une garde

Taille-haie fonctionnant sur batteries
Pour tous lesTailles-haies sans fil:
1) Ne rechargez pas votre taille-haies sous la
pluie ou dans des lieux aspergés.
2) N’utilisez pas votre taille-haies sans fil sous
la pluie.
3) Lors de remplacement des piles, remplacez
les toutes en même temps. Le mélange
de piles neuves et déchargées pourrait
faire accroître la pression interne de la/des
pile(s) déchargée et causer la rupture de
son enveloppe.
(Pour produits utilisant plus d’une pile
primaire remplaçable).
4) Lors de l’insertion de piles neuves dans cet
appareil, observez la bonne polarité.
L’inversion d’une pile pourrait causer la
fuite de son électrolyte ou son explosion.

5) Avant toute réparation ou nettoyage/retrait
Pour tous les appareils fonctionnant sur
batteries, employez une batterie amovible ou
séparable :
1) Utilisez seulement le type et grosseur de
piles suivants : WA3512, WA3513
2) Ne faites pas la disposition des piles dans
un incinérateur ou poêle à bois. Les piles
pourraient exploser. Informez vous des
dispositions locales particulières pour le
rebut de piles.

des piles. L’électrolyte qui s’écoulerait est
corrosif et peut causer des blessures aux
yeux ou à la peau. Il peut également être
toxique si ingéré.
4) Pour ne pas causer de court-circuit, prenez
soin d’éviter tout contact de bracelets,
anneaux ou clés sur les bornes du
bloc-piles. Le bloc-piles ou le matériau
conducteur peuvent s’échauffer au point de
causer une brûlure grave.
Pour tous les taille-haie utilisant une batterie
aéré à cellule humide destinée à être
remplie de façon périodique par l’utilisateur:
ATTENTION: L’électrolyte est une solution
d’acide sulfurique pouvant causer des
blessures aux yeux et à la peau. Il est corrosif
et conducteur d’électricité. Respectez la
procédure suivante :
1) Portez une protection oculaire complète et
des vêtements de sécurité.
2) Si l’électrolyte fait contact avec la peau,
rincez le immédiatement à l’eau courante.
3) Si l’électrolyte fait contact avec les yeux,
rincez abondamment à l’eau courante et
consultez un médecin.
PRATIQUE POUR UNE UTILISATION EN
TOUTE SECURITE DU TAILLE-HAIE
1. CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ
1.1 Entraînement
1) Lisez attentivement le manuel
d’instructions d’utilisation et d’entretien.
Familiarisez-vous avec les commandes et
l’utilisation adéquate de l’appareil.
2) Ne laissez jamais les enfants utiliser l’outil.
3) Tenez toutes les personnes, en particuliers
les jeunes enfants, ainsi que les animaux, à
distance de votre lieu de travail.
4) N’utilisez pas l’outil pour effectuer une
tâche autre que celles pour lesquelles il a
été conçu.
1.2 Préparation
1) Utilisez l’outil uniquement à la lumière
du jour ou sous un éclairage artificiel
approprié.
2) N’utilisez jamais l’appareil sur des surfaces
mouillées. Assurez-vous toujours de vous
tenir fermement sur vos pieds.Tenez
fermement la poignée, et marchez ; ne
courrez jamais.
1.3 OPÉRATION
1) Ne mettez pas les mains ou les pieds
près de ou sous les pièces rotatives de
l’appareil.
2) Si l’appareil commence à vibrer de façon
anormale, arrêtez le moteur et tentez
immédiatement d’en déceler la cause. Les
vibrations indiquent généralement qu’un
problème existe.
3) Arrêtez le moteur chaque fois que vous
quittez l’appareil, et également avant de
réparer ou d’inspecter l’appareil.
4) N’utilisez jamais le taille-haie sans les
protections, plaques ou autres dispositifs
de sécurité appropriés en place.
5) Ne lavez pas l’appareil à l’aide d’un tuyau ;
évitez que l’eau ne pénètre dans le moteur
et au niveau des connexions électriques.
1.4 ENTRETIEN
1) Vérifiez de façon périodique que la lame
soit bien serrée.
2) Assurez-vous que tous les écrous, boulons
et vis sont bien serrés afin que l’appareil
fonctionne en toute sécurité.
3) Remplacez la lame si elle est courbée ou
fendue. Une lame déséquilibrée fera vibrer
le système d’entraînement du moteur ou
pourra causer des blessures.
4) Aiguisez les lames émoussées de manière
égale à chaque extrémité pour en préserver
l’équilibre.
5) Nettoyez soigneusement la lame.

AVERTISSEMENT! N’utilisez pas
l’outil sans lui avoir fixé son garde
protecteur et sa poignée frontale.
1. ENSEMBLE GARDE-PROTECTEUR
Insérez le garde protecteur dans la fente,
comme montré à la figure a en vous assurant
qu’il est solidement fixé.
Pour maintenir le garde protecteur de façon
sécuritaire, serrez bien ses deux vis de
maintien.
2. ENSEMBLE DE POIGNÉE AVANT
La poignée avant doit être montée sur l’outil
de la façon suivante avant d’en faire l’usage.:
1) Joignez la poignée au boîtier de l’outil en
alignant les marques sur le boîtier et sur la
poignée (voir Figure B,C,D)
2) Insérez le boulon de verrouillage dans la
poignée et serrez le boulon fermement. (voir
Figure E)
3) Assurez vous que la poignée ne branle pas,
sinon resserrez le boulon.
3. AVANT D’UTILISER VOTRE TAILLE-
HAIES SANS CORDON
AVERTISSEMENT! Le chargeur et le
bloc-piles ont été conçus spécifiquement
pour travailler ensemble, alors ne tentez
pas d’utiliser d’autres dispositifs. Ne
jamais insérer ou permettre que des objets
métalliques soient introduits dans les bornes
de connections de votre chargeur ou bloc-
pile, parce qu’une défaillance électrique et un
danger vont se produire.
Votre bloc-pile n’est pas chargé. If faut donc le
recharger une fois avant d’utiliser l’outil.
Le chargeur de batterie fourni s’adapte à la
batterie au lithium ion installée dans l’appareil.
Ne pas utiliser d’autre chargeur de batterie.
4. RECHARGE DU BLOC-PILES
La batterie au Lithium ion est protégée contre
une décharge importante. Lorsque la batterie
est vide, la machine s’éteint grâce à un circuit
de protection. La poignée de l’outil s’arrête de
tourner.

Dans un environnement chaud ou après une
utilisation prolongée, le pack de la batterie est
trop chaud pour permettre un chargement.
Laisser la batterie se refroidir un moment
avant de recharger.
5. INSTALLATION DU CHARGEUR (Voir
Figure F1)
Glissez les deux pieds du chargeur (a) dans les
fentes situées au dos du chargeur. Le chargeur
tient alors debout, tel qu’illustré sur la Fig.F1.
6. COMMENT CHARGER VOTRE BLOC-
PILES (Voir Figure F)
Branchez le chargeur et sa lumière verte (12)
s’allumera. Glissez la batterie dans le chargeur
pour les connecter ensemble. La lampe témoin
verte (12) s’éteint et la lampe témoin rouge
(11) s’allume pour indiquer le début de la
charge. À une température ambiante normale,
une batterie déchargée exigera un temps
de recharge d’environ 0.5 heure. Lorsque la
charge est terminée, la lampe témoin verte
(12) s’allume alors que la lampe témoin rouge
(11) s’éteint.
REMARQUE: Ce chargeur est conçu pour
détecter certains problèmes qui pourraient
arriver avec la batterie. (consultez le tableau
ci-dessous)

7. RETRAIT/RÉINSTALLATION DE LA
BATTERIE (Voir Figure G)
Enfoncez le système de verrouillage de la
batterie et retirez la batterie de l’outil. Une
fois rechargée, replacez la batterie dans son
emplacement. Une simple pression d’insertion
sera suffisante.
8. MARCHE ET ARRÊT
AVANT DE FAIRE DÉMARRER VOTRE

Retirez la gaine (9) de la lame.
POUR FAIRE DÉMARRER VOTRE TAILLE-
HAIES
Votre taille-haies comprend deux leviers
d’actionnement (5 et 6). Pour faire démarrer
le taille-haies, les deux leviers doivent être
actionnés simultanément. Actionnez et
maintenez le levier avant (5) et puis actionnez
le levier arrière (6) (voir Figure H).
POUR ARRÊTER VOTRE TAILLE-HAIES
Avant d’arrêter votre taille-haies, éloignez le
de la haie.
et relâchez un des leviers à commutateur (voir
Figure I).
AVERTISSEMENT: Si une pièce ou
l’autre du taille-haies est manquante,
brisée ou en mauvais état, n’utilisez pas
votre taille-haies avant d’avoir fait les
remplacements/réparations nécessaires
sinon il y aura risque élevé de blessures
graves. N’UTILISEZ PAS L’OUTIL SANS
SES POIGNÉES ET GARDE-PROTECTEUR
9. RÉGLAGE DE POSITION DE LA
POIGNÉE AVANT
Remarquez que le levier d’actionnement peut
être opéré sur trois côtés vous permettant
plusieurs positions confortables de travail.
Avant d’effectuer une coupe sur une section de
haie, inspectez la et retirez tout objet étranger
qui pourrait se prendre dans la lame ou être
projeté. Pour la mise en marche du taille-
haies, tenez le toujours des deux mains en
gardant sa lame éloignée de vous.
Pour la taille de nouvelles pousses, faites de
grand mouvements en va et vient pour que les
tiges soient directement présentées à la lame.

Avant de débuter la coupe, laissez la lame
atteindre sa pleine vitesse. Lorsque l’outil est
en marche, gardez toujours sa lame éloignée
de personnes et objets tels les murs, les
grosses pierres, les arbres, les véhicules etc.
