Step 1 | Position Main Parts in Room
The stairs are designed to go on the right. You’ll have
the Large Side Panel on the left. You’ll be setting this up
about 20” - 24” from the wall. This will give you room to
attach the scoreboard later.

Step 2 | Attach Back Guardrail to Stairs
With a helper attach the Back guardrail to the
stairs by locking the brackets together. The
tabs on the brackets will interlock.
Put two ¾” set screws in the open holes on
each bracket to lock them into place.
Note: If you
have trouble
getting the tab
behind the
other brackets
tab, a flathead
screwdriver
may be used
to carefully pry
it out slightly.
Step 3 | Attach the Large Side Panel
Pull the Large Side
Panel into place and
lock it into the
brackets as was
done in step 2. Put
two ¾” set screws in
the open holes on
each bracket to lock
them into place.

Step 4 | Attach Scoreboard
The Scoreboard is held on by 2 boards. If they were removed for shipping, put them back on the back of the
scoreboard using
1-¼” screws. With
a helper set it on
top of the Back
Guardrail. Secure
using 1-¼” screw
from the back side.
Step 5 | Slide back to the wall
With a helper slide the unit back toward the wall. You may leave a little space between the wall and bed to
reach plug in.
Step 6 | Add Bookcase and Chest
The bookcase and chest can go on either side, but we
designed them to go on the right side. Slide the
bookcase about 1” under the Back Guardrail and put it
against the stairs. The Bookcase will be facing inside,
toward the Large Side Panel. The chest will fit next to
the bookcase but facing outward.

Step 7 | Add Front Guardrail.
Slide the Front Guardrail into
place as you did the Back
Guardrail in step 2.
Step 8 | Add Twin Slats
The twin size slats for the top bed are tied together and will space themselves out. Set the slats on the cleat of
the siderail, stretch into place and attach them to the cleats using 1 ¼” screws.
Step 9 | Assembly Lower Bed
The lower bed as the same brackets as used on the upper Guardrails. There will only be one on each corner.
The Headboard and Footboard are the same size and shape. The only difference is the Footboard has a Cubs
logo on it. If you can assemble the lower bed in middle of the room and then slide it into place that is the
easiest. If you are limited with space you can put the Full Headboard in place, under the loft and assembly it
there.
Lock the brackets together as you did in step 2 and put 2-¾” set screws in each bracket.
Step 10 | Add Full Slats
The full size slats are not tied together as were on the twin size. Lay those out and evenly space them. Attach
them to the cleats using 1 ¼” screws.
