6. Using the hand pendant, press the UP
indicator to raise the patient just enough to
clear the surface.
7. Carefully move the lift to receiving surface.
A caregiver should be standing next to the
patient, guiding them while the Aerial is
moving.
10. Once patient is secure on receiving surface,
remove the sling loops from the sling bar.
11. Move the Aerial away from the patient and
plug in to charge.
8. Do not lock the Aerial wheels.
9. Center patient over receiving surface,
ensure receiving surface is locked if
applicable. Using the hand pendant, press
the DOWN indicator and lower the patient to
desired surface.
Clinical Tipsheet: Lateral Transfer
1. Always ensure that the surface the patient
is on and the location of intended transfer
are locked.
2. Refer to the SLING instructions prior to
use with the lift.
3. Lower the sling bar to the middle of the
patient’s chest to attach sling loops.
4. Place sling loops over each sling bar hook
and ensure the safety latch closes.
5. Unlock Aerial wheels. This allows lift to
adjust itself to the center of gravity.
