IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
In using the present appliance, please keep the following safety regulations in order to prevent
any hazard or material damage.
1.Safety Precautions
1) Be sure to use the specified battery and power charger provided by our
company,connection to an improper power charger may cause fire, explosion or damage to
the printer.
2) Don’t put the battery into fire or water, don’t disassemble or modify the battery, don’t be
short circuit, otherwise may result in injury or fire or even explosion.
3) If the printer would not be used for a long time, be sure to take off the battery, otherwise
the battery may leak liquid which is corrosive, if improper operation causes battery leak,
and the liquid is spattered on the skin or clothes, please wash it with water, if spattered into
the eyes, please rinse them with water thoroughly and see a doctor.
4) Please do not open the paper case cover when it is printing or just when printing is over, do
not touch the print head with hand or body, overheat may cause scald.
2. Operation Precautions
1) Water or other liquid should not spill into the printer, also the printer should not be expose
to the rain, or else may cause printer damage.
2) Please do not open the paper case cover when it is printing, otherwise the printer may
work improperly.
3) If print with serial interface, should not unplug the interface cable in the course of printing,
or else some printing data may be lost.
4) When print with Bluetooth interface, the communication distance should be within 10
meters, otherwise the printer doesn’t print or prints rubbish codes.
5) Too high(40℃)or too low(0℃) temperature and too high (85％)or too low (20％)relative
humidity both effect the print quality.
6) The print paper in poor quality or stored for too long time also may reduce the print quality
even damage the printer.
3.Storage Precautions
1) The printer should be placed in such an environment that the temperature is between
-20℃and 60℃, and the relative humidity is between 5% and 95%.
2) If the printer will be stored for a long time, pleas be sure to take out the battery, otherwise
may damage the battery and printer.
3) Normal thermal paper can’t be kept too long, if you need to keep the receipt for a long
period, please select long term effective thermal paper. (NOTE:thermal printer)
4) The print paper should be keep away from high temperature environment and point-blank
sunshine.(NOTE:thermal printer)

4.Battery Safety Precautions
1) Ignore the following instructions may cause battery overheating, fire, explosion, damage
and/or performance, and reduced product life.
2) Do not allow water, sea water from entering or leaking into the battery. If the batteries
internal safety device burn, when charging it, it may produce abnormal current and/or
voltage, or abnormal chemical reaction when charging it, then may cause the battery
overheating, fire and/or explosion.
3) Do not use or place the battery nearby the stove or other high temperature
places.Excessive heat maybe damage the resin shell and/or the insulation materials,
thereby cause short-circuit inside the battery, then the battery may be
overheated, burning and/or explosion.
4) When charging, use a specified charger. Other conditions (high temperature, high
pressure/high current, using the modified battery charger, etc.) excluded here may result in
over-charging the battery and abnormal current and/or voltage, cause abnormal chemical
reaction, and may cause the battery overheat, light and/or explosion.
5) Battery clearly marks with positive and negative. When connect the battery with the
charger and/or printer, be sure to verify the correct battery orientation. Reverse insertion
will cause the reverse charging and may cause abnormal chemical reaction, and then may
cause the battery overheat, ignite, and/or explosion.
6) Do not make the battery contact with the power outlet and/or car cigarette lighter socket.
This may cause high pressure and excessive current, and lead to the battery overheat,
burning and/or explosion.
7) Do not heat the battery or put the battery into fire. This may melt insulation material and/
or damage safety devices or safety equipment, then ignite electrolytic solution, and cause
the battery overheat, burning and/or explosion.
8) Do not use the battery with contrary (+) and (-) location. In the charging process, this will
cause the reverse charging and may cause abnormal chemical reaction. During use, may
appear unpredictable current exception, and cause the battery overheat, ignite, and/or
explosion.
9) Do not make the battery (+) and (-) contact with any metal. Also, do not carry along or store
batteries with metal objects, such as necklaces, hair clips and so on. Battery internal short
circuit may cause excessive current, and lead to the battery overheat, ignite, and/or
explosion and the adjacent metal objects (necklaces, hairpins, etc.) may be overheating.
10) Do not throw or attack the battery heavily. If internal safety device of the batteries burn,
the battery charging may cause any abnormal current and/or voltage, and abnormal
chemical reaction, and lead to the battery overheat, ignite, and/or explosion.

Touch Type Buttons
1）【Power】Button Function Description
①Power on function
Long touch【POWER】button, printer will power on.
②Get into the menu mode function
When printer is already powered on, long touch the【POWER】button to enter main menu.
③Select function
After entering menu mode, Short touch【POWER】button to switch/scroll to different menus
or numbers(0~9).
④Return function
After entering menu mode,long touch【POWER】button can cancel the current sub-menu
setting and return to last level menu.After returning to the last level menu,long touch
【POWER】button can exit menu mode and return to icon interface.
2）【FEED】Button Function Description
①Feed paper function
Printer will feed paper when the 【FEED】button is touched down under normal condition.
② Confirm function
After entering menu mode,select menu items by touching【POWER】button and ensure
enter the menu item by touching【FEED】button.
③Move cursor function
After entering menu mode,move cursor by touching【FEED】button.Then enter number by
touching【POWER】button.
3）Display Screen
Display menus and icons.
4）Cover Open Button
You can open cover by touching the left and right buttons simultaneously.
5）Paper Out Detection Sensor
To detect if paper is existing or not.
6）Paper Feed Positioning Detection Sensor
The two paper feed positioning detection sensors work together to detect if paper feed in
parallel.

CHAPTER 3 INSTALLATION & USAGE
3.1 Ribbon Loading
1. Press the left and right cover open buttons with both hands simultaneously and lift the
printer cover.
2. Hold the left and right ribbon's handhold vanes,then insert the ribbon as shown and push the
ribbon down until it clicks.
3. Rewind the ribbon feed mechanism to make it smooth.

4. Close the printer cover.
3.2 Loading Media
1. Make sure the ribbon is properly loaded and the cover of the printer is closed.
2. Turn the printer power on.
Long touch power button for about 2 seconds.
3. Put the paper into the paper entry slot in parallel.
Printer will feed a distance automatically after it detect the paper.
A buzzer will sound once when a paper is successfully loaded, otherwise the operation is
wrong.
3.3 Removing Media
Caution:
Do not under any circumstances pull the paper out forcefully while the printer cover is closed,
otherwise may cause damage.
Please remove the paper according to follow steps:

1. Open the printer cover.
2. Pull the media out of printer in either direction.
3. Close the printer cover.
4. Insert a new sheet of media and print again.
3.4 Battery Charging
Printer’s battery is rechargeable Li-polymer battery. Although printer use automatic sleep and
automatically wake up technology to save power, please turn the power off after using it. It’s
the best way to save power.
After a certain time, battery will run out.Then printer should be charged otherwise the printer
will not be able to work normally.
When Li-polymer battery runs out of power, battery icon on LED screen will blink LED indicator
flash. It will power off automatically when continues printing. After that alarm signal, printer
can still work for a while, but can't ensure the work time. If you want to go on, please charge it
in time.
Please connect the power supply according to follow steps:

1. Connect the power cord to the adapter.
2. Connect the adapter to the power connector of the printer.
3. Plug the power cord into a power outlet.
NOTE: Battery charging status shown as follows:

NOTE: Please use the manufacturers power charger, otherwise cause printer damage and
danger our company will not take any responsibility.
WARNING: If battery is not in use for a long time, please remove it after fully charged, and
then it should be recharged every 3 months, when power is low, battery should be charged in
time. If the printer automatically power down because of low power, be sure to charge the
battery in 45 days. Otherwise,it will cause permanent damage to the battery.
3.5 Peripheral Connection

3.5.2 Bluetooth Connection
PDA with Bluetooth interface, laptop and other information terminals can drive the mobile
thermal printer MPT8/MPT8E.
Instructions as follows:
1. Power on printer.
2. Main device search for outer Bluetooth devices.
3. If there are some outer Bluetooth devices, select MPT8/MPT8E.
4. Enter password “0000”.
5. Finish matching.
Detailed pairing methods, please refer to main devices Bluetooth Names.
Note: In pairing, mobile thermal printer MPT8/MPT8E must be turn on.
Note: When pairing, do not set many printers on, otherwise it can't figure out which one
succeeds in pairing.
After pairing, main devices with virtual Bluetooth interface (SMARTPHONE, POCKET PC, PALM,
NOTEBOOK) can drive mobile thermal printer MPT8/MPT8E to printer through such virtual
Bluetooth interface.

3.6 Basic Function
3.6.1 Power On
Long touch POWER button, then release the button,printer will power on with below
indications.
3.6.2 Power Off
When printer is power on, long touch POWER button to enter menu mode, then enter first level
menu by long touch FEED button. Touch POWER button to select”power off”option in first level
menu, and touch FEED button until the screen is dark.
3.6.3 Feed Paper
Turn on the printer. Put the paper into the paper mouth in parallel. Printer will feed a distance
automatically after it detect the paper. After that if you hear a beep from buzzer, this suggests
that the position is correct and printer is ready to print, otherwise the operation is wrong.
After the paper located, if you want to take out paper, please press the left and right PUSH
buttons simultaneously, then open the cover. Don’t take out paper forcibly, otherwise it may
cause damage.(Refer to 3.3 Removing Media)

3.6.4 Self Test
Enter menu modesecondary menuLoad Paper and Test, more details in 3.7 menu
Operation.
Look for Bluetooth setting, printer character and other information from self-test.
3.6.5 Hibernation
To save power and prolong use time, MPT8/MPT8E use automatic sleep and automatically wake
up technology. After turning on the printer, if there are not any operations in standby time,
printer will enter standby mode and you can hear a beep from buzzer then screen extinct. If
there are not any operations in sleep time, printer will power off automatically.
After printer entering into standby mode, power consumption will greatly reduce and don’t
have any influence on the use. Printer will wake up automatically when it receive data and don’t
need manual intervention.
