Parts and Features
The GH5 Rod Support
Base gives the GH5
Cage a set of 15mm rods
lightweight spaced for
use with matte boxes
and other rod mounted
accessories. The 6.5”
included rods slide all
the way through the
base for length adjusta-
bility.
The base of the
GH5 Cage slides easily
into the Rod Support
and locks securely into
place. Just loosen the
lock lever and push
down the lock button to
remove the cage from
the support. The bottom
of the rod support has ¼
20 and 3/8 16 screw
holes for mounting your
tripod. It is also a
dovetail for sliding into
the VCT Pro. This Rod
Support Base is made
specifically for use with
the GH5 Cage.

To attach GH5 Cage to Rod Block,
make sure pan lever is in unlocked
position as shown in drawing. Align
bottom of Cage with top of Rod Block,
push down on red release button, and
slide Cage into Rod Block.
Lock by tightening pan lever to the right as shown.
To remove Cage from Rod Block, unlock pan lever,
press red release button, and slide Cage back out of
Rod Block.
To attach rods loosen racheting lever and
insert rod into the15mm rod lock, then
tighten the racheting lever to secure.

The Rod Block can be used in several
configuarations depending on your setup.
When attaching Rod Block to VCT Pro, make sure Rod Block is
positioned far enough forward for locking mechanism of VCT Pro to
engage. Rod Block will not lock into VCT Pro if positioned at back end.
