Sony FS7 Recoil Kit
Compatible with the Sony FS7 this Recoil shoulder-mounted
rig includes our VCT Universal baseplate, the Rosette
Mini-mount for the Sony FS7 handgrip, and our Axis Mini for
Sony FS7 which can be used with either the Gratical HD or
the Sony monitor. Centered around the Universal VCT
Baseplate, this kit allows you to transfer your rig from tripod
to shoulder in seconds.

Attach rods to VCT Plate by loosening
ratcheting levers, sliding rods into place
and then re-tighten levers.

If needed the tail hook position can be raised or lowered.
Loosen both allen screws equally, raise or lower tail hook
and relock both allen screws when in desired position.
Pull red lever on VCT-14 to release
your Universal VCT Plate.
Mount VCT Plate to VCT-14 by sliding the front wedge into front slot
of VCT-14 and the tail hook around the rear knob of VCT-14.
The VCT-14 will click when the VCT Plate is locked into place.
An alternative mounting method when using a tripod
without a VCT14, is to mount your tripod’s quick release
wedge plate to the wedge on the bottom of the
Universal VCT Plate.
Adjust rod height by loosening both front
allen screws equally. Slide rods up or down
for desired position and re-lock allen screws.
From the bottom of the VCT Plate, screw the 1/4”-20 and 3/8”-16 mounting screw
into the bottom your camera.
Before securing in place, add on accessories to help find the true balance of your camera.
Align both the VCT and camera’s center of balance and secure mounting screw in place.

Align and remount allen screws to VCT
body. Adjust to desired height and
re-lock allen screws.
Flip front rods over from original position.
Remove both allen screws and separate
front jeep with rods from VCT body.
For Red Epic/Scarlet flip the rod clamp riser.

Loosen this knob to adjust
the length of the Axis Mini.
Loosen this knob to adjust
the lower rotation.

Mount the Rosette Mini Mount to
the 15mm VCT Rods and tighten
the ratcheting lever when in
desired position.
Attach the Sony arm and
grip to the rosette mini
mount.
The VCT Arri M6 Rosette is attached to
either side of the VCT to attach the Sony
arm and grip.
A Gratical HD/LT can be attached
directly to the Axis Mini using rosette
mounts.

Remove the two front screws
from the top of the Camera.
Mount the Axis Mini Mount to the
top of the camera using the two
supplied mounting screws.

mount, the two parts need
to be assembled before
mounting to camera.

Mount the Axis Mini to the rod port and lock in
place with the ratcheting lever.
Attach the Axis Mini to the rosette
Mount the Sony FS7 Screen to the rosettes rod.
Adjust rig to fit comfortably to user’s eye.
