Das Hauptanschlusskabel wird, wie
im Anschlussdiagramm aufgelistet,
angeschlossen.
 BITTE BEACHTEN
Anschluss Parking-Kabel
Das Kabel „Parking“ muss an einen
Handbremsenkontakt angeschlossen
werden, so dass dieses gegen Masse
(GND) geschaltet ist, wenn die
Handbremse angeschlossen ist.
Beachten Sie, dass es in den EU
Ländern per Gesetz verboten ist,
während der Fahrt Videos oder
Bilddateien anzuschauen.
Anschluss Reverse-Kabel
Das Kabel „Reverse“ muss an einen
Rücklichtkontakt angeschlossen
werden, so dass dieses gegen 12 V
geschaltet ist, wenn der Rückwärtsgang
eingelegt wird.
Anschluss IR-IN-Kabel
Das Kabel „IR-In“ muss an einen
entsprechenden Ausgang eines CAN/
Stalk Interfaces angeschlossen werden,
um eine Kommunikation zwischen der
Lenkradfernbedienung und dem
ZE-NC2041D zu gewährleisten.

 PLEASE NOTE
Connection of Parking Cable
Do connect the cable “Parking“ to a
terminal of your handbrake which does
ground the cable when handbrake is
engaged. Note, it is illegal to watch
videos while driving. Pay attention
to the fact, that local laws of your
country may prohibit to watch videos or
pictures on your device while you are
driving.
Connection of Reverse Cable
Do connect the cable “Reverse“ to a
terminal of your tail light which does
supply 12 V when reverse gear is
engaged.
Connection of IR-IN Cable
Do connect the cable “IR-In“ to the
respective output of your CAN/Stalk
interface to use your steering wheel
control.

Connections Overview:

Lösen Sie mit dem passenden
Entriegelungswerkzeug Ihr Radio
oder Ihr Navigationssystem aus
dem Einbauschacht. Wenn Sie,
wie es auf der Abbildung zu sehen
ist, ein weiteres 1 DIN Gerät,
wie z. B. einen CD- Wechsler, in
Ihrem Fahrzeug verbaut haben,
müssen Sie das zweite Gerät
ebenfalls mit dem passenden
Entriegelungswerkzeug aus dem
Einbauschacht lösen.
Unlock the original radio or sat
nav system with an appropriate
tool. If there is a second 1-DIN
unit mounted in the lower slot
(for example a CD player), the
unit in the lower slot must also be
removed – with the appropriate tool
units where applicable.

Geräteschacht entfernen zu
können, müssen Sie zuvor
alle Steckanschlüsse (wie z.B.
Anschlusskabel, Antennenkabel,
etc.) auf der Rückseite trennen, um
die Geräte entnehmen zu können.
To completely remove any pre-
installed factory tool units from
the mounting slot, the main wire
harness, antenna cable etc. must
be unplugged on the backside of
the device.

3Im nächsten Schritt (s. Abb.)
entfernen Sie die Trennplatte aus
dem Einbauschacht. Wenn in Ihrem
Fahrzeug nur ein 1-DIN Gerät
verbaut ist, sollte das Ablagefach,
das über oder unter oder auf dem
Gerät verbaut ist, mit einen kleinen
Ruck aus dem Einbauschacht
entfernt werden.
Once the OE units are removed,
the horizontal center plate – if
present – must also be taken out to
allow the installation of a new unit
with 2-DIN dimension. Grab the
horizontal dividing plate and pull it
out with a quick and straight jerk.
Now connect the ISO-DIN plugs
of the vehicle to the main ISO-DIN
wire harness of the ZE-NC2041D.
5Verbinden Sie die vom Fahrzeug
kommenden ISO-Stecker mit dem
Anschlusskabel des ZE-NC2041D.

4Installieren Sie die GPS-Antenne
unter oder auf dem Armaturenbrett
und installieren Sie die Media Link
Box an einer geeigneten Stelle.
Verlegen Sie die Kabel in den
Einbauschacht.
Mount the GPS receiver underneath
or above the windshield and install the
media link box. Route the cable of the
GPS antenna to the mounting slot, for
connection to the unit later on.

66Verbinden Sie nun die GPS-Antenne
und die Fahrzeugantenne mit dem
ZE-NC2041D.
Connect the GPS antenna and the
antenna cable to the backside of
the ZE-NC2041D.
7 Wenn Sie alle Anschlusskabel
ordentlich verstaut und
angeschlossen haben, können
Sie den ZE-NC2041D in den
Einbauschacht einsetzen. Um
Schäden an den hinter dem Gerät
befindlichen Kabeln zu vermeiden,
drücken Sie den ZE-NC2041D
vorsichtig in den Einbauschacht.
Wenden Sie keine Gewalt an.
Once all the wires have been
properly arranged in the mounting
slot, you can push back the ZE-
NC2041D to see if anything gets in
the way.
If there is enough room available –
never apply brute force – push the
unit back gently, to avoid shearing
or cutting of wires.

Drücken Sie nun den ZE-NC2041D
in den Einbauschacht, bis Sie
hören, wie die Verriegelung des
ZE-NC2041D einklickt.
Bitte beachten:
Üben Sie während der Installation
keinen Druck auf den Bildschirm
aus, da dieser sonst beschädigt
werden könnte. Wenn Sie einen
zu hohen Druck auf die Front
des Gerätes ausüben, kann dies
auch zu einer Beschädigung des
ZE-NC2041D Gehäuses führen.
Das Gerät sollte mit nur geringem
Kraftaufwand in den Einbauschacht
eingeführt werden. Sollte dies nicht
möglich sein, überprüfen Sie bitte,
ob die gesamte Verkabelung des
ZE-NC2041D richtig verstaut ist,
damit beim Einsetzen des
ZE-NC2041D in den Einbauschacht
keine Beschädigungen an den
Anschlusskabeln des ZE-NC2041D
entstehen können.
If there is no obstacle to be felt,
you can now push back the
ZE-NC2041D until you hear a clicking
sound of the latching mechanism.
Please Note:
Do not apply excessive mechanical
pressure on the touchscreen during
the installation of the ZE-NC2041D.
If the wires on the backside have
been tucked away properly, the
unit should slide in with only little
resistance.

➜ Das Fahrzeug ist mit einem Eigendiagnosegerät (DME)
ausgestattet.
Um Fehlermeldungen zu vermeiden, muss vor
Montagebeginn unbedingt der negative Pol der
Fahrzeugbatterie abgehängt werden.
➜ Eine einwandfreie Funktion des ZE-NC2041D kann nur
dann gewährleistet werden, wenn Sie das im Lieferumfang
enthaltene Zubehör verwenden.
➜ Der ZE-NC2041D ist „plug-n-play“, daher ist es nicht
nötig am originalen Anschlusskabel bzw. ISO-Stecker
Veränderungen irgendwelcher Art vorzunehmen.
➜ Achten Sie bei der Installation darauf, dass die
verschiedenen Anschlusskabel und Zubehörteile nicht
durch scharfe Kanten beschädigt und die Anschlusskabel
nicht geknickt werden.
➜ Im Auslieferungszustand ist das interne Mikrofon
aktiviert. Um das externe Mikrofon zu verwenden, müssen
Sie das externe Mikrofon im Setup des Bluetooth Modus
aktivieren.
➜ Achten Sie vor der finalen Montage des
ZE-NC2041D darauf, dass alle Steckverbindungen auf der
Geräterückseite richtig verbunden und fest eingerastet
sind.
➜ Bei Fragen oder Problemen wenden Sie sich an
Ihren ZENEC-Händler, bei dem Sie das Gerät gekauft
haben. Zusätzlich finden Sie unter www.zenec.com eine
ausführliche FAQ Datenbank, wo viele der Fragen und
Probleme, welche während der Installation auftreten
könnten, entsprechend beantwortet werden.
➜ Da Updates (Software und Kartenmaterial) für
das Navigationssystem nur über den USB-Anschluss
installiert werden können und sich der USB-
Anschluss an der Rückseite des ZE-NC2041D befindet,
sollten Sie die im Lieferumfang befindliche Media
Link Box unbedingt an einem leicht zugänglichen Ort
installieren. Die Media Link Box verfügt über einen
entsprechenden USB Port.
➜ Um beim Einbau des ZE-NC2041D eine Anbindung
an die Lenkradfernbedienung herzustellen, wird
ein Stalk Adapter (im ZENEC Programm optional
erhältlich) benötigt. Für weitere Informationen
wenden Sie sich bitte an einen autorisierten
ZENEC-Händler.
 Bitte Beachten/Please Note
➜ Tampering with the on-board electrical system might
cause error codes to be stored in the DME.
It is thus recommended to disconnect the GND wire of the
negative battery pole before you start with any installation
work.
➜ The flawless function of the ZE-NC2041D can only
be guaranteed, when the original accessories and wire
harnesses contained in the set are deployed as described in
this installation manual.
➜ The ZE-NC2041D is a plug and play product,
modifications on the original wire loom or the ISO connector
of the vehicle are not required at all.
➜ When mounting the ZE-NC2041D always pay proper
attention not to damage any of the wires, plugs or other
parts. Avoid applying too much mechanical force especially
when pushing the unit back into the slot.
➜ Out of the box, the internal microphone is activated.
If you want to use the external microphone, activate the
external microphone in the Bluetooth setup menu.
➜ Please check if all plug-and-socket connections on the
rear of the ZE-NC2041D are properly seated before you lock
the unit in place.
➜ Please contact your authorized ZENEC dealer or the
distributor of the country, where you have purchased your
E>GO unit, if you have any technical problems or further
questions.
In addition, you can look up a detailed FAQ data base on
www.zenec.com, where most of the questions revolving
around the connectivity or the installation of a given E>GO
model are explained in detail.
➜ Any update of the main unit software or the
navigation system (software and map data) requires
the USB port of the media link box to be present and
accessible. For this purpose, the installation of the
media link box is mandatory. The media link box is
contained in the ZE-NC2041D set – just make sure you
find a good and suitable mounting location that is easy
to access (i.e. glove compartment, arm rest box etc.).
➜ The ZE-NC2041D features an IR-IN wire that allows to
connect a dedicated steering wheel control interface,
that is compatible with your VW car. The so called stalk
adapter is an accessory available from ZENEC. For
more information please contact an authorized ZENEC
dealer.
