offuel burning equipment to prevent backdrafting.Followtheheating equipment manufacturer’s
guidelinesand safetystandards suchasthose publishedbythe NationalFireProtection Associa-
tion(NFPA), andtheAmerican SocietyforHeating, Refrigeration andAirConditioning Engineers
(ASHRAE),andthelocal codeauthorities.
5. Whencuttingordrillingintowall orceiling,donotdamageelectricalwiring andotherhiddenutilities.
6. Ductedfans must always be vented to the outdoors.
7. Toreduce the riskof fire, use only metalductwork.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
Thisappliancemust begrounded.Intheeventofan electricalshortcircuit,groundingreducestherisk
ofelectricalshockbyproviding an escape wire for the electric current.
WARNING -Impropergroundingcan result in a risk of electric shock.
Consulta qualifiedelectricianif the groundinginstructionsare notcompletelyunderstood, or ifdoubt
existsas to whether the appliance isproperlygrounded.
WARNING - TO REDUCE THE RISK OF A RANGE TOP GREASE FIRE:
1. Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Boilovers cause smoking and greasy
spilloversthat may ignite.Heatoils slowly on lowormedium settings.
2. Always turn hood ON when cooking at high heat or when flambeing food (i.e. Crepes Suzette,
CherriesJubilee,PeppercornBeef Flambe’).
3. Cleanventilating fans frequently.Greaseshould not beallowedto accumulateonfan or filter.
4. Useproper pan size. Always use cookware appropriate for the size of the surface element.
5. Keepfan, filters and greaseladensurface clean.
6. Usehigh range setting onrangeonlywhen necessary. Heat oil slowlyonlow to medium setting.
7. Don’tleave rangeunattended whencooking.
8. Alwaysuse cookware and utensilsappropriateforthe type and amountoffoodbeing prepared.
