2. Use the sensor part with holes to mark the
screw holes on a at ceiling or a wall.
3. Use enclosed screws (Ø 2.9x9.5mm /
Ø 0.11x0.37”) and plugs to install the
mounting base on the marked position.
FIXED MOUNTING WITH SCREWS
1. Open the casing of the sensor.
Placement
• Place the sensor indoors at a temperature
between 0-50°C (32-122°F).
• Its angle of detection from above, the sides
and below must be 45°.
• The Motion Sensor must be placed in a
location with a clear view of the monitored
area and the windows.
• The distance from the Motion Sensor
to an oven or cooker must be at least
four meters.
• Ideal placement of the Motion Sensor is in
a corner of the room, closest to the ceiling,
as the Motion Sensor reacts optimally to
crosswise movement.
• The Motion Sensor must be reachable for
battery testing and maintenance.
• Place the sensor free of obstacles.
• Do not remove the product label as it
contains important information.
• Do not place the Motion Sensor close to a
heating/cooling source.
• Do not place the Motion Sensor in direct
sunlight or bright light.
• Avoid placing the Motion Sensor close to
electromagnetic elds.
• Do not paint the sensor.
2. The serial number is located on the back of
the Sensor casing
3. You can change the devices name by
selecting “Name” (g. 4). Then, press the
button “Add Device”
4. Open the casing of the sensor. Insert the
battery (1xCR123) noting the polarity.
5. The Motion Sensor will start searching for the
ZigBoat™ network to join.

While the Motion Sensor is searching for the
ZigBoat™ network to join, the LED ashes red.
7 . When the LED stops ashing, the Motion
Sensor has successfully joined the ZigBoat™
network.
Product description
The ZigBoat™ Motion Sensor detects
movements on your boat and immediately
communicates it to your mobile device. Place
the battery powered Motion Sensor on a table
or shelf, or use the mounting screws and mount
the sensor on a at wall, at on the ceiling or in
the corner.
The Motion Sensor can detect movement up
to 6 meters (18’).

Adding the sensor to the Gateway
NOTE: Make sure the Gateway is turned on
and congured correctly, for more details see
the Gateway owner manual.
1. Open the ZigBoat™ App, select the Gateway
in the ZB Gateways menu, wait a few
seconds. then select the menu button on
the top right (g. 1) Select “Device list” (g.
2). Add the sensor by entering the serial
number which is on the sensor’s label (g. 3).

To check the correct conguration, select the
Overview tab of the ZigBoat™ App. (g. 5)
Green dot: The sensor is working properly
Red dot: The sensor is not able to reach the
Gateway.
· Please check the battery status;
· Please check that you have entered the correct
serial number.
· In case of a weak or a bad signal, change the
location of the ZigBoat™ Motion Sensor
“IDLE”: No movement detected
“ALARM”: The sensor detects movement and
will send a push notication if the gateway is
connected to internet

4. Attach the front cover to the sensor.
Resetting
Resetting is needed if you want to connect your
Motion Sensor to another gateway, or if you
need to perform a factory reset to eliminate
abnormal behavior.
STEPS FOR RESETTING
1. Open the casing.
2. Check that the battery is inserted correctly.
3. Press and hold the reset button until the red
LED starts to ash.

years from date of purchase. Warranty can be
in the form of repair or replacement of the unit
if manufacturing defects have been found and
are conrmed by Glomex or one of its aliates.
In order to validate warranty, either the original
sales receipt or a copy must be provided at the
time warranty is requested. Before returning
any items for warranty, please contact the
Glomex Customer Service department to
receive a RMA which should be completed
and sent with the unit to the following address:

complete with all the accessories supplied at
the time of purchase for shipment. The serial
number must neither be erased nor made
illegible, otherwise the warranty will be voided.

Disposal
Battery replacement
1. To replace the battery, remove the Motion
Sensor from the mounting base and open
the casing.
2. Replace the battery noting the polarity. The
Motion Sensor uses 1xCR123 battery.
3. Close the casing of the sensor.
Dispose the product and battery properly at the
end of life. This is electronic waste which should
be recycled.
Fault nding
• If the search for the ZigBoat™ gateway has
timed out, a short press on the button will
restart it.
4. Release the button during ashing.

LED starts to blink every second.
