Standard Edging
The Wovin Wall System comes with Standard Edging which is
made from extruded aluminum. This can either be anodized
to retain the aluminum aesthetic (usually with a satin inish) or
it can be powder coated to achieve a customized color frame
(additional costs and lead times would apply). All aluminum
extrusions are made using 7% pre-consumer recycled
content.

The system is simple to assemble, however
be sure to allow some time to construct the
grid. In your Wovin Wall kit you will also ind a
drawing showing the layout of the mounting
grid for your wall. When your frame is fully
assembled it should look like the drawing. Use
this as a guide when following the instructions
below.

Installation
1Assemble Mounting Grid
Assemble all the full vertical lengths of the frame and lay
them out next to each other. The grid is best assembled
on a large table or loor to avoid possible damage during
assembly.
Join the horizontal brackets on one vertical length to
the tabs on the next length. For large wall areas it may
be easier to assemble the grid in smaller sections, we
recommend a full vertical height by 46 tiles wide.
Attach horizontal brackets onto the joiner tabs sticking
out on the right side of each vertical length. For the
irst length on the left, attach horizontal brackets onto
the tabs on the left side as well
Slide the 4-way joiners (380001) into the groove in
the back of the aluminum brackets.

Installation
1Assemble Grid cont...
Attach brackets with corner joiners around the edges.Attach corner joiners (380002) to each end of an
aluminum bracket. Put together enough of these to
form the edges of the mounting grid.
For the outer 4 corners of the grid, attach a single
joiner (380003) instead of the corner joiner.

Depending on the size of the Wovin Wall it may be
useful to it a temporary rail onto the wall to allow the
grid to be supported while it is being itted.
If your wall is particularly long we suggest building
the grid in stages and assembling it on the ceiling
progressively. This will help prevent breakages by
trying to lift and ix a large grid.
2Attach Frame to Ceiling
Screw standard frame in place on the ceiling prior to mounting the grid. This will help you to locate the grid on the ceiling.

3Install the Grid
Installation
Carefully lift the completed grid and position on the
ceiling. Fasten with screws through the holes in the
joiners. If you have assembled your Wovin Wall in
smaller sections, screw the irst section to the ceiling,
then slide the next section onto the joiner tabs and
fasten it in place as shown. Continue until all sections
are fastened.
If you have attached any optional edging you will need
to leave screws out of the joiners around the very edge.
Important: Once the entire grid is assembled within
the frame, carefully push all pieces of the grid out-
wards until all perimeter pieces of the grid are itting
neatly inside the edging. When you are happy that the
grid has been expanded evenly over the entire area ix
it to the ceiling using the 25 mm chipboard screws in
every plastic joiner.
Note: Every second tile around the perimeter will
overhang the edging.
4Install Tiles
Tiles clip into the outermost ridge of each bracket,
as shown below, alternating between horizontal and
vertical alignment.
Alternate between horizontal and vertical tiles.

Cleaning Instructions
Wovin Wall should be cleaned periodically. A regular, seasonal
cleaning program will dramatically help prevent noticeable
weathering and dirt build-up. 3form recommends the use of
the following common cleaning products: Windex, Formula
409, Simple Green, Fantastik, Virex, 10:1 Water/Bleach
Solution.
Rinse the sheets with lukewarm water. Remove dust and
dirt from Wovin Wall Tiles with a soft cloth or sponge and a
solution of mild soap and/or liquid detergent in water. A 50:50
solution of isopropyl alcohol and water also works well. Rinse
thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Always use a soft, damp cloth to blot dry. Rubbing with a dry
cloth can scratch the material and create a static charge.
Avoid scouring compounds, gasoline, benzene, acetone,
carbon tetrachloride, certain deicing luids, lacquer thinner or
other strong solvents.

Wovin Wall is available with an optional Sonex Foam tile for
enhanced acoustical performance. The foam tile is attached
between the grid openings, behind the wovin wall tiles.
It uses a peel and stick adhesive on the back of each tile,
making for easy installation direct
to the wall. Sonex foam is made
from lightweight porous melamine.
It meets all ASTM E84 requirements
for lame spread and smoke density
and it passes the aggressive new
UL 1715 room ire exposure test.
Its ignition temperature is 112°F.

Aluminum Material - Vertical Interior Applications Only
Aluminum inishes are designed as a special accent or to
create a special mood. The surface of the aluminum group is a
ine inished metal, and are composed of a colored aluminum
decorative layer pressed over impregnated phenolic resin kraft
paper core sheets. The decorative aluminum is either anodized
or epoxy coated to resist tarnishing.
Aluminum inishes are not to be used in areas with high
humidity, temperatures over 15°F or direct sunlight.
