1. Safety Instructions
ATTENTION! Read these Operating Instructions carefully before plugging
in and operating the unit! As with all technical units, the trouble-free
function and safe operation of this unit can be assured only if standard
safety procedures and the special safety instructions in these Operating
Instructions are observed.
3M Deutschland GmbH guarantees trouble-free operation of the
Pentamix system only if 3MESPE system components are used
exclusively.
1. The unit may be used only in strict accordance with the following
instructions. We accept no liability for any damage arising from any
other or improper use of this unit.
2. If the unit is moved from a cold into a warm environment, condensation
can result in a hazardous situation. Never begin operating the unit until
it has reached the ambient temperature.
3. The power plug must be connected into a suitably grounded socket
before the unit is operated. If an extension cable is used, make sure
that it also provides a ground wire.
4. Position the unit so that the power plug is accessible at all times.
5. The unit must be placed either on a non-slip, level surface or mounted
to a sufficiently stable wall to insure stable placement.
6.
Use only Penta™materials in foil bags in combination with the Penta™
cartridges and Penta™mixing tips.
7. Close the cover of the unit before operating.
8. Do not lock the “Start” button as this can lead to hazardous situations
and undesired continuous operation.
9. Always turn off the unit and disconnect the plug from the power source
before changing the plunger discs.
10. When changing the plunger discs, position the smooth side of the
new discs towards the foil bag (the opposite side of the discs with the
fan-shaped depressions must face away). Otherwise, the foil bag might
be damaged.
11. To avoid electrical shock, do not insert any objects into the unit.
12.
Use only genuine 3M ESPE parts when replacing defective components
as directed in these Operating Instructions. We assume no liability for
any damage caused by the use of non-3MESPE parts.
13. If, for any reason, it is possible that the safety of a unit has been
compromised, that unit must be removed from operation and identified
in such a way that it is not inadvertently operated again by a third party.
Safety may have been compromised, for example, if the unit does not
work as specified or is visibly damaged.
14. Keep solvents, flammable liquids, and powerful heat sources away from
the unit as they may damage the plastic housing.
15. Do not allow any cleaning agents to enter the unit during cleaning as
they could cause an electrical short or a dangerous malfunction.
16.
Only a properly trained, authorized technician may open the unit housing
and repair the unit.
17. FDA studies have indicated that medical devices using radio frequency
identification (RFID) may possibly affect the function of heart pacemakers
and ICDs. However, as of this time the FDA has not received any reports
of such effects. Moreover, the limited transmission range and the trans-
mission frequency used by the Pentamix 3 unit mean that risks to users
and patients are extremely improbable.
2. Product Description
Pentamix™3 is an automatic mixing unit for the preparation of Penta™
impression materials. 3M ESPE Penta impression materials have been
specifically designed for this unit and are supplied in special foil bags.
This is the only form of packaging which can be used in the Pentamix units.
Every Penta™foil bag is sealed with a PentaMatic sealing cap.The external
geometry of the sealing cap insures its proper positioning on the cartridge.
When the Pentamix unit is turned on, a special internal device opens the
foil bag automatically once sufficient pressure has been built up by the
plunger. The connection pieces located on the PentaMatic sealing caps
serve for proper attachment of the mixing tip.
The cartridges, which are labeled for the specific product, and the
PentaMatic sealing caps act together as a stable unit for the preparation
of pastes in the Pentamix unit and allow a change of products without
intermediate cleaning of the device and no loss of paste.
The Pentamix 3 unit is compatible with all Penta cartridges and Penta
mixing tips. Steel-reinforced Penta cartridges (recognizable by the metal

ring) and red Penta mixing tips are required to exploit the full extent of the
performance capability of the Pentamix 3 unit (e.g., maximum mixing
speed). When cartridges made completely of plastic and materials which
do not satisfy requirements are used, the unit automatically adjusts the
mixing speed as a precaution.
The Pentamix 3 is supplied as a tabletop unit, but can also be mounted on
a wall using the commercially available brackets.
2.1 Comparison with Pentamix 2
• The Pentamix 3 unit can be disconnected from the power supply by using
the main switch on the upper side of the housing (Fig.7).
• A green LED light on the upper side of the housing shows that the unit is
ready for operation (Fig.7). The LED light blinks during the self-test when
the unit is turned on and whenever the operating condition does not allow
safe clinical use.
• The Pentamix 3 unit can mix pastes twice as fast as the Pentamix 2.
Pentamix 3 automatically recognizes if the appropriate Penta foil bags
with safety label or metal-reinforced Penta cartridges have been inserted.
Pentamix 3 sets the optimal mixing parameters for the specific material
being used.
• When the “Start” button is released, the Pentamix 3 unit automatically
relieves the tension on the foil bags by withdrawing the plungers, which is
indicated audibly by the sound of the drive motor.
• Safe operation at higher mixing speeds cannot be guaranteed unless
Penta foil bags with safety labels and metal-reinforced Penta cartridges
are used. This is why the Pentamix 3 unit has been designed to adjust
mixing parameters to correspond to the mixing speed of the Pentamix 2
unit when other components are used.
• The locking lever of the inserted Penta 3 cartridge can be opened when
the unit cover is closed so that the mixing tip can be replaced even when
the cover is closed (Fig.14).
•
Since the locking lever of the Penta 3 cartridge snaps into a fully open
position, only one hand is required to change the mixing tip (Fig.16).
• Hand wheels and “Start” buttons have been placed on both sides of the
Pentamix 3 unit so that it can be used easily by both right-handed and
left-handed persons.
• The insertion of the cartridge into the Pentamix3 unit is simplified by the
plungers snapping into place in the uppermost position.

4. Installation
The Pentamix 3 unit can be placed on a non-slip, level surface or
mounted
on a suitably strong wall. A special wall bracket is commercially
available for
mounting (Ident. No. 77601).
4.1 Tabletop Installation
왘To connect the power cable, use the hand wheel to retract the mixing
shaft.
왘Close the cover and lay the unit on a suitable pad with the front of the
unit facing down (Fig.1).
왘Remove the cover on the back of the housing by pressing the two snap
locks (Fig. 2) in the direction of the arrows (Fig. 3).
왘Thread the power cable through the opening in the cover and plug it into
the power socket on the unit (Fig. 4).
왘Replace the cover on the back of the unit. Make sure that the noses of
the cover slide firmly into the openings in the housing (Fig. 5) and that
the snap locks audibly click into place (Fig. 6).
Caution: Never operate the unit without replacing the cover;
otherwise, the stability of the unit cannot be assured!
왘Insert the power cable toward the back in the cable feedthrough.
왘Insert the power cable of the Pentamix 3 unit into a grounded electrical
socket. If an extension cable is used, make sure that it also provides a
ground wire.
왘Place the Pentamix 3 unit on a non-slip, level surface and press the
main switch on the upper side of the unit to turn it on (Fig.7). After
blinking several times, the operating light burns steadily to indicate the
unit is ready for operation.
5. Operation
5.1 Loading the Cartridge
Please carry out the steps in the following sequence exactly.
왘Have ready one foil bag of base paste and one of catalyst paste as well
as a matching, steel-reinforced 3M ESPE cartridge for a 3M ESPE Penta
impression material. The colors on the foil bag cap and the locking lever
or the product names on the foil bag and the locking lever must be the
same.
왘Insert the foil bags into the unlocked cartridge. The locating lugs make
sure they are correctly seated (Fig. 8).
왘Press down on the cartridge locking lever until it audibly clicks into place
(Fig. 9).
5.2 Inserting the Cartridge
The Pentamix 3 unit works with both Pentamix 3 cartridges (recognizable
by
the locking lever) and the older Pentamix 2 cartridges (recognizable by the
handle on the side).
5.2.1 Inserting the Pentamix 3 Cartridge
왘Open the unit cover (Fig.10).
왘Use the hand wheel to retract the plungers until they stop.
The plungers now snap into the uppermost position, and it is not
necessary to hold them in place with the hand wheel.
왘Hold the cartridge by the handle and insert it into the unit parallel to the
unit opening (Fig.11).
왘Close the unit cover.
왘Use the hand wheel to move the plungers forward until the plungers
meet marked resistance from the foil bags (Fig.12). The mixing process
cannot be started until the plungers are touching the foil bags.
왘Attach a new mixing tip prior to beginning mixing (see Section 5.3).
5.2.2 Inserting and Removing a Pentamix 2 Cartridge
왘Open the unit cover.
왘Use the hand wheel to retract the plungers until they stop.
The plungers now snap into the uppermost position.
왘Insert the cartridge into the unit parallel to the unit opening.
왘Use the hand wheel to move the plungers forward until the plungers
meet marked resistance from the foil bags. The mixing process cannot
be started until the plungers are touching the foil bags.
왘Attach a mixing tip prior to begin mixing (see Section 5.3).
왘To remove the Pentamix 2 cartridge from the unit, use one finger to lift it
by the cartridge handle from below.
5.3 Attaching the Mixing Tip.
Always Attach a Mixing Tip Before Use!
Foil bags equipped with a PentaMatic sealing cap may be used exclusively
with 3M ESPE Penta mixing tips.

5.3.1 Attaching the Mixing Tip to a Pentamix 3 Cartridge
왘Release the locking lever by pushing up the lock (Fig.13) and push the
lever all the way up until it snaps into place (Fig.14).
왘First place the mixing tip with the CE symbol pointing upwards only
on the tip of the mixing shaft (Fig.15). Turn slightly to align the mixing tip
with the corresponding outflow openings of the foil bags (Fig.16).
Attach the mixing tip and press down firmly to insure that the mixing tip
is seated tightly on the outflow openings (Fig.17).

Caution: Never attach the mixing tip only to the outflow openings of
the foil bags when the mixing shaft has been withdrawn. This could
prevent the full insertion of the mixing shaft into the mixing tip.
In this case, the operating light will blink and the unit will not start
(see Section 6).
왘
Press the locking lever down until it audibly snaps into place (Fig.18).
5.3.2 Attaching the Mixing Tip to a Pentamix 2 Cartridge
왘Open the unit cover.
왘Release the lock.
왘First place the mixing tip with the CE symbol pointing upwards only on
the tip of the mixing shaft (Fig.15). Turn slightly to align the mixing tip
with the corresponding outflow openings of the foil bags (Fig.16).
Attach the mixing tip and press down firmly to insure that the mixing tip
is seated tightly on the outflow openings (Fig.17).
왘Press the locking lever down until it audibly clicks into place (Fig.18).
왘Close the unit cover.
5.4 Starting a New Cartridge
왘Press the “Start” button (Fig.19). The Pentamix 3 unit can be operated
using either the left-hand or right-hand “Start” button.
왘When a new pair of foil bags is started, please wait 5
-
15 sec. until
pressure has built up in the cartridge; the foil bags will then open
automatically.
왘Once the bags are open, one of the two pastes, which are of different
colors, may flow out first, producing an uneven mixture. For this reason,
observe the flow of the two pastes, discard any uneven mixture,
and do not apply the paste until the mixture shows a homogeneous
color (Fig.19).
왘After mixing, leave the mixing tip on the cartridge as a seal!
5.5 Loading the Impression Tray and Penta Elastomer Syringe
왘Press the “Start” button. The Pentamix 3 unit can be operated using
either the left-hand or right-hand “Start” button.
-
The unit extrudes paste only as long as the “Start” button is held
down. When the “Start” button is released, the motor audibly
continues to run
briefly. This movement relieves the pressure on the
foil bags to minimize
the unnecessary flow of the pastes.
-
Do not lock the “Start” button as this can lead to hazardous situations
and undesired continuous operation. For safety reasons, use the unit
only when the cover is closed.
왘Tilt the tray to load it. Fill the tray continually from one side to the other,
keeping the opening of the mixing tip immersed in the paste (Fig.20
or 21). If necessary, use a spatula to smooth the impression material
surface.
왘When filling a Triple Tray®
, fill one side first. Release the “Start” button
briefly and turn the tray over, then fill the other side.
왘A mixing tip may be used only as long as the mixing shaft inside the
mixer rotates smoothly. If the mixing process is interrupted for more than
30 seconds, the material inside the mixing tip will begin to set, and a
new mixing tip must be attached (see Point 5.3, “Attaching the Mixing
Tip”). If the mixing unit is operated when there is set material inside it,
the unit will turn off automatically to prevent damage.
왘Attach the rear opening of the Penta Elastomer Syringe (after removing
the plunger) to the mixing tip opening and press the “Start” button
(Fig. 23).

CAUTION: Not all Penta impression materials can be syringed.
Please refer to the Instructions for Use of the specific product.
5.6 Re-starting a Partly Empty Cartridge
왘After prolonged storage (especially for silicones), use an instrument
to
remove any plugs that may have formed from the outflow openings
of the
foil bags.
왘It may be necessary to start the unit without a mixer to check the paste
flow.
왘Attach a new mixing tip and start the mixing procedure.
5.7 Replacing a Cartridge
If a cartridge is nearly empty, we recommend to have a second cartridge
ready for use at hand so that it is possible to replace the exhausted
cartridge quickly. This cartridge should be prepared as described under
5.4 “Starting a New Cartridge”.
Experienced personnel can even replace a cartridge while filling a tray. You
can save time by attaching the full mixing tip from the empty cartridge to
the prepared new cartridge. Do not forget to move the plungers into contact
with the bags!

5.8 Storage of Partially Used Cartridges
왘Foil bags which have been started and partially emptied must be stored
only in the cartridge and with attached and filled mixing tip.
왘Store any cartridges with partially used foil bags either horizontally
or with the mixing tip point down (Fig. 24). If stored improperly, the
impression material may flow backwards, which would prolong the
restarting time or cause the base and catalyst pastes to mix.
5.9 Fill Level Gauge
The fill level gauge shows how much material remains in the foil bags.
If the plungers have snapped into the uppermost position, the red fill level
marker is not visible.
When the red marker reaches the first line, there is still enough impression
material in the unit to fill completely either a large impression tray or three
Triple Trays (Fig. 25).
When the foil bags are completely empty, the red fill gauge marker
disappears, and the unit shuts off automatically.
5.10 Disposal of Consumable Materials
Dispose of used mixing tips and empty foil bags in residual waste. Be sure
to comply with local waste disposal regulations.

They should be regularly checked for signs of wear (e.g., fissures) and
replaced with new, metal-reinforced Penta cartridges two years after initial
operation at the very latest. The use of worn or defective cartridges can
have adverse effects on the evenness of the mixture, reducing the quality
of the impression.
8. Return of Old Electric and Electronic
Equipment for Disposal
8.1 Collection
Users of electric and electronic equipment are required to collect their old
equipment separately from other waste in accordance with the regulations
of the specific country. Old electric and electronic equipment must not be
disposed of with unsorted household waste.This separate collection is
a prerequisite for recycling and reprocessing as an important method for
preserving environmental resources.
8.2 Return and Collection Systems
When your Pentamix 3 is no longer usable, do not dispose of the device
with household waste. 3M Deutschland GmbH has set up special disposal
facilities to handle the equipment. Details about the procedure for the
specific country can be obtained from the pertinent 3M Deutschland GmbH
subsidiary.
8.3 Meaning of the Symbols
The EU Directive prohibits the disposal of any electric or electronic devices
marked with these symbols in combination with household waste.
9. Customer Information
No person is authorized to provide any information that deviates from the
information provided in this instruction sheet.
9.1 Warranty
3M Deutschland GmbH warrants this product to be free from defects
in material and manufacture. 3M Deutschland GmbH MAKES NO
OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
User is responsible for determining the suitability of the product for user’s
application. If this product is defective within the warranty period, your
exclusive remedy and 3M Deutschland GmbH’s sole obligation shall be
repair or replacement of the 3M Deutschland GmbH product.
9.2 Limitation of Liability
Except where prohibited by law, 3M Deutschland GmbH will not be liable
for any loss or damage arising from this product, whether direct, indirect,
special, incidental or consequential, regardless of the theory asserted,
including warranty, contract, negligence or strict liability.

7. Maintenance and Care
7.1 Replacement of the Plunger Discs
If damaged, the plunger discs must be replaced. Only original parts may be
used as replacements to insure safe operation.
왘Turn off the unit and disconnect the plug from the power source.
Use an Allen wrench to remove the screw in the center of the plunger
disc. Remove the disc and screw a new one into place (Fig. 26).
왘When changing the plunger discs, make sure you position them with the
correct alignment (see Fig. 26) to prevent damage to the foil bags.
7.2 Care
Clean all components with a soft cloth and, if necessary, a mild cleaning
agent (e.g. dish-washing detergent). Solvents or abrasive cleaners may not
be used in any case, as they can damage the plastic components!

Cleaning agents must not enter the unit!
To disinfect all components, spray the disinfectant on a towel and use it to
disinfect the unit. Do not spray the disinfectant directly on the device.

Disinfectant agents must not enter the unit!
-
Dry residual disinfectants on the device with a soft and fluff-free
cloth, as they damage the plastic components.
If necessary, ask the manufacturer of the disinfectant if its constant use will
damage plastic surfaces.
7.3 Maintenance and Repair
No components inside the unit require servicing or repair by the user.
3M Deutschland GmbH will accept responsibility for the safety, reliability,
and correct function of the unit only if:

Any modifications or repairs are carried out only by personnel
authorized to do so by 3M Deutschland GmbH;
-
The electrical fittings in the room comply with all regulatory
requirements;
-
The unit is operated according to these Operating Instructions.
Plastic cartridges are subject to wear depending on the material and
frequency of use and are therefore not covered by the warranty for this unit.

1. Sigurnosne upute

Ovaj će uređaj, kao i druga tehnička oprema, ispravno raditi i biti siguran
za upotrebu samo ako se u rukovanju njime pridržava općih i posebnih
sigurnosnih uputa opisanih u ovim uputama za upotrebu.
3M Deutschland GmbH jamči da će upotreba sustava Pentamix
biti uspješna isključivo kada se koriste komponente sustava koje
proizvodi kompanija 3M ESPE.
1. Uređajem se mora rukovati u skladu s ovim uputama. 3M Deutsch-
land GmbH ne preuzima odgovornost za kvarove ili štetu uzrokovane
upotrebom ovog uređaja u druge svrhe.
2. Prilikom premještanja uređaja iz hladne u toplu prostoriju, posebno ako
se radi o većim temperaturnim razlikama, može doći do kvara zbog
nakupljanja kondenzata. Zbog toga je, prije uključivanja uređaja,
potrebno pričekati neko vrijeme da se uređaj stabilizira i prilagodi novoj
sredini.
3. Za rad uređaja, potrebno ga je uključiti u struju na utičnicu s
uzemljenjem. Ako koristite produžnu žicu, provjerite njezino uzemljenje.
4. Uređaj postavite tako da je utičnica uvijek dostupna.
5. Uređaj je potrebno postaviti na ravnu i stabilnu površinu ili na stabilan,
ojačan zid.
6. Koristite samo Penta materijale u vrećicama u kombinaciji s Penta™
kartušama i Penta
™
nastavcima za miješanje

7. Prije upotrebe uređaja, poklopite poklopcem.
8. Ne zaključavajte start tipku. Neprekidan rad uređaja je opasan.
9. Uvijek isključite uređaj i izvucite žicu iz utičnice prije izmjene pločica
klipova.
10. Prilikom izmjene pločica klipova okrenite glatku stranu nove pločice
prema vrećici (suprotna strana pločice, sa šarom nalik na ventilator,
treba biti okrenuta prema klipnom štapu). U suprotnome slučaju se -
vrećica može oštetiti.
11. Zbog opasnosti od strujnog udara ili kvara nastalog kratkim spojem,
u uređaj je zabranjeno umetati predmete.
12. Samo se odgovarajuće označeni originalni zamjenski dijelovi kompanije
3M ESPE smiju ugrađivati u održavanju i popravcima ovog uređaja.
3M Deutschland GmbH neće biti odgovoran ni za kakvu štetu nastalu
upotrebom neoriginalnih zamjenskih dijelova ili nepoštivanjem ovih
uputa za upotrebu.
13. U slučaju sumnje u sigurnost rukovanja uređajem, uređaj se mora
isključiti iz upotrebe, te ga se mora odgovarajuće označiti da ga
nehotice ne upotrijebi netko drugi. U slučaju neispravnog rada uređaja
ili prisutnosti vidljivih oštećenja, postoji jasna sumnja u sigurnost
rukovanja uređajem.
14. Ne izlažite uređaj kemijskim tvarima, zapaljivim tekućinama i izvorima
visoke temperature, jer mogu oštetiti plastično kućište.
15. Prilikom čišćenja pazite da sredstvo za čišćenje ne prodre u uređaj, jer
to može izazvati kratki spoj ili kvar uređaja.
16. Uređaj smiju otvarati i popravljati isključivo kvalificirani stručnjaci.
17. FDA istraživanja su pokazala da medicinski uređaji koji koriste
identifikaciju radio valovima (RFID, od engl. radio frequency identification)
mogu imati neželjenih učinaka na rad uređaja za stimulaciju rada srca
(pacemaker) i uređaje jedinice za intenzivnu njegu. Međutim, do sada
FDA nije zaprimila niti jedan izvještaj o takvom neželjenom radu.
Štoviše, ograničeni raspon te frekvencija odašiljanja uređaja
Pentamix 3 znači izrazito nisku vjerojatnost rizika za korisnike i
pacijente.
2. Opis proizvoda
Pentamix™3 je uređaj za automatsko
miješanje Penta™materijala za
otiskivanje. 3M ESPE Penta materijali za otiskivanje
posebno su dizajnirani
za ovaj uređaj i
nalaze se u posebnim vrećicama. Samo ovaj oblik
pakiranja omogućava
njihovu upotrebu u Pentamix uređaju. Svaka Penta™
vrećica zatvorena je PentaMatic poklopcem za zatvaranje. Vanjska
geometrija ovog poklopca omogućava ispravan položaj na kartuši.
Nakon pokretanja Pentamix uređaja, posebni unutarnji uređaj otvara
vrećicu kad se klipom postigne dovoljni tlak. Dijelovi za spajanje koji
se nalaze na PentaMatic poklopcu za zatvaranje služe za ispravno
postavljanje nastavka za miješanje.

Kartuše, označene kao i proizvod, i PentaMatic poklopci za zatvaranje su
dijelovi mehanički stabilnog uređaja za obradu pasti u Pentamix uređaju koji
omogućava izmjenu proizvoda bez međukoraka čišćenja uređaja i gubitka
paste.
Uređaj Pentamix 3 kompatibilan je sa svim Penta kartušama i Penta
nastavcima za miješanje. Penta kartuše ojačane čelikom (prepoznaju se
po metalnom prstenu) i crveni Penta nastavci za miješanje potrebni su za
potpunu iskoristivost značajki uređaja Pentamix 3 (primjerice, maksimalna
brzina vrtnje). Kad su kartuše u potpunosti izrađene od plastike i materijala
koji ne udovoljavaju zahtjevima, uređaj, kao mjeru predostrožnosti, auto-
matski prilagođuje brzinu miješanja.
Pentamix se isporučuje kao stolni uređaj ali ga se može pretvoriti u zidni
uređaj komercijalno dostupnim hvataljkama za zid, koje se mogu naručiti.
2.1 Usporedba s uređajem Pentamix 2
• Uređaj Pentamix 3 se može isključiti glavnom sklopkom na gornjoj strani
kućišta (slika 7).
• Zeleno LED svjetlo na gornjoj površini kućišta pokazuje da je uređaj
spreman za rad (slika 7). LED svjetlo žmirka tijekom samo-provjere rada
prilikom uključivanja uređaja i kad nije moguća sigurna upotreba uređaja.
• Uređaj Pentamix 3 dvostruko brže miješa paste od uređaja Pentamix 2.
Pentamix 3 automatski prepoznaje odgovarajuće Penta poli vrećice sa
sigurnosnom oznakom ili Penta kartuše ojačane metalom. Pentamix 3
postavlja optimalne partametre miješanja za specifični materijal kojeg se
koristi.
•
Kada se otpusti tipka „Start“, uređaj Pentamix 3 automatski oslobađa
pritisak na poli vrećice povlačenjem klipova, što je čujno zvukom
pogonskog motora.
• Sigurno djelovanje pri višim brzinama miješanja ne može se osigurati
osim ako se ne korite Penta poli vrećice i Penta kartuše ojačane metalom.
Zbog toga je uređaj Pentamix 3 dizajniran da postavi odgovarajuće
parametre miješanja prema brzini miješanja uređaja Pentamix 2 prilikom
korištenja drugih komponenti.
• Poluga za zaključavanje postavljene Penta 3 kartuše može se otvoriti kad
je poklopac uređaja zatvoren te se nastavak za miješanje može zamijeniti
i kad je poklopac zatvoren (slika14).
• Kako se poluga za zaključavanje zaključava u potpuno otvorenom
položaju, zamjena nastavka za miješanje moguća je jednom rukom
(slika16).
• Ručni vijak i „Start“ tipka su postavljeni s obje strane uređaja Pentamix 3
tako da ih se može jednako koristiti lijevom i desnom rukom.
• Postavljanje kartuše u uređaj Pentamix 3 je pojednostavljeno
zaustavljanjem klipova u kranjem gornjem položaju.

4. Postavljanje uređaja
Uređaj Pentamix 3 može se postaviti na bilo koju ravnu površinu koja nije
kliska ili na zid odgovarajuće nosivosti. Komercijalno su dostupni nosači s
hvataljkama za zid (kat. br. 77601).
4.1 Postavljanje uređaja na na radnu površinu
왘Da spojite žicu, okrenite ručni vijak da uvučete klip mješalice.
왘Zatvortie poklopac i postavite uređaj na odgovarajuću podlogu tako da
je prednji dio uređaja usmjeren prema dolje (slika1).
왘Uklonite stražnji pokrov kućišta pritiskom dviju potisnih sklopki (slika 2) u
smjeru strelica (slika 3).
왘Provucite žicu kroz otvor na pokrovu i uključite na utičnicu uređaja
(slika 4).
왘Ponovo postavite stražnji pokrov uređaja. Provjerite da pokrov dobro
nasijeda na otvore kućišta (slika 5) i da se potisne sklopke čujno zatvore
(slika 6).
Oprez: Nikada ne rukujte uređajem koji nema zatvoren pokrov;
inače se ne može osigurati stabilnost uređaja!
왘Utisnite žicu prema straga kroz utor.
왘Utaknite žicu uređaja Pentamix 3 u utičnicu s uzemljenjem. Koristite li
produžnu žicu, provjerite da ona nudi mogućnost uzemljenja.
왘Postavite uređaj Pentamix 3 na ravnu površinu koja ne kliže te uključite
glavnu sklopku na gornjoj površinu uređaja (slika 7). Nakon što nekoliko
puta zatreperi, svjetlo stabilno svijetli i time označava spremnost uređaja
za upotrebu.
5. Djelovanje
5.1 Postavljanje kartuše
Molimo da sljedeće radnje izvodite dosljedno na niže opisan način.
왘Pripremite jednu poli vrećicu temeljne paste i jednu poli vrećicu
katalizatorske paste, kao i odgovarajuću 3M ESPE kartušu ojačanu
čelikom s materijalom za otiskivanje. Boje moraju biti jednake na
poklopcu poli vrećice i na poluzi za zaključavanje ili naziv proizvoda i
poluga za zaključavanje moraju biti jednake boje.
왘Umetnite poli vrećice u otključanu kartušu. Lokalizacijske kvržice
osiguravaju ispravan položaj (slika 8).

Pritisnite polugu za zaključavanje kartuše prema dolje, sve dok ne čujete
glasni „klik“ (slika 9).
5.2 Postavljanje kartuše
Uređaj Pentamix 3 kompatibilan je sa Pentamix 3 kartušama (raspoznaju
se po poluzi za zaključavanje) i starijim Pentamix 2 kartušama (raspoznaju
se po ručici/dršci sa strane).
5.2.1 Postavljanje Pentamix 3 kartuše
왘Otvorite pristupna vrata uređaja (slika10).
왘Ručnim vijkom uvucite klipove sve dok ne stanu. Klipovi su sada
zaključani u svojem krajnjem gornjem položaju i nije ih potrebno -
pridržavati ručnim vijkom.
왘Primite kartušu za dršku i postavite je u uređaj usporedno s otvorom
uređaja (slika11).
왘Zatvorite poklopac.
왘Ručnim vijkom pomaknite klipove prema naprijed sve dok ne osjetite
otpor poli vrećica (slika12). Postupak miješanja ne može započeti sve
dok klipovi ne dodirnu poli vrećice.

Postavite novi nastavak za miješanje prije započinjanja s miješanjem
(pogledajte u odjeljku 5.3).
5.2.2 Postavljanje i vađenje Pentamix2 kartuše
왘Otvorite pristupna vrata uređaja.
왘Ručnim vijkom uvucite klipove sve dok ne stanu. Klipovi su sada u
svojem krajnjem gornjem položaju.
왘Postavite kartušu u uređaj usporedno s otvorom uređaja.
왘Ručnim vijkom pomaknite klipove prema naprijed sve dok ne osjetite
otpor poli vrećica (slika 12). Postupak miješanja ne može započeti sve
dok klipovi ne dodirnu poli vrećice.

Postavite novi nastavak za miješanje prije započinjanja s miješanjem
(pogledajte u odjeljku 5.3).
왘Za vađenje Pentamix 2 kartuše iz uređaja, jednim prstom je podignite za
dršku odozdola.
5.3 Postavljanje nastavka za miješanje.
Uvijek postavite nastavak za miješanje prije upotrebe!
Vrećice koje su opremljene PentaMatic poklopcem za zatvaranje se jedino
mogu koristiti uz Penta nastavke za miješanje.
