(1) Einspeisung und Versorgung
Die Einspeisung kann 1-, 2- oder 3-phasig (50/60 Hz) erfolgen. Aus der Phase L1 wird die
interne Versorgung des Gerätes und der eingesteckten Module erzeugt. Die Einspeisung
wird zu den Modulplätzen weitergeleitet. Der Betrieb in einem 3-phasigen 230/400 V-Netz ist
zulässig. Es ist unzulässig, dieselbe Phase mehrfach anzuschließen, wenn sie durch mehre-
re Leitungsschutzschalter getrennt abgesichert ist (Gefahr einer Überlastung des Nullleiters).
(2) Anschluss ABB i-bus®KNX
(3) Zusatz-Einspeisung 24 V DC
Einige Module (z.B. 24 V DC-Jalousieaktor) benötigen eine gesonderte Einspeisung, die
direkt an die Module angeschlossen wird. Zur Erleichterung der Verdrahtung können hier 24
V DC angeschlossen werden, die über Verbindungskabel direkt auf die Module weitergeführt
werden. Klemmen 7/8 dienen zum Durchschleifen der 24 V DC. Das Verbindungskabel liegt
den Modulen bei.
Die Klemmen können einen max. Dauerstrom von 8 A führen.
(4) Handbedienung und LED-Anzeige
Zur Handbedienung von Modulfunktionen ist zunächst über den Modulwahltaster („Module
Select“) das Modul auszuwählen. Anschließend kann das Modul über Taster bedient und der
Zustand über LEDs angezeigt werden. Wenn kein Modul ausgewählt ist, kann mit Hilfe der
Bedientasten der Zustand der Busspannung angezeigt werden:
LEDs dauerhaft an 5 Busspannung OK
LEDs blinken 5Busspannung nicht OK
(5) Programmiertaste und LED
Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Programmiertaste und -LED nur funktionieren, wenn die Versor-
gungsspannung angeschlossen ist.
Hintergrund: Um den Busstromverbrauch gering zu halten, versorgt sich das Gerät nicht aus
dem Bus.

Installation
Das Gerät ist geeignet zur Aufputz-Montage in einer beliebigen Einbaulage. Die Befestigung er-
folgt über vier Schrauben (beiliegend) auf ebenem Untergrund. Die beiliegende Bohrschablone
legt die Bohrmaße fest. Bei unebenem Untergrund ist ein Ausgleich zu schaffen, z.B. über Unter-
legscheiben. Der elektrische Anschluss erfolgt über steckbare Schraubklemmen.
Die Zugänglichkeit des Gerätes zum Betreiben, Prüfen, Besichtigen, Warten und Reparieren muss
sichergestellt sein.

Geräte-Beschreibung
Das Raum-Controller-Grundgerät RC/A 8.2 nimmt bis zu 8 steckbare Module auf. Es steuert deren
Funktion und kommuniziert über ABB i-bus®. In jeden Steckplatz kann ein beliebiger Modultyp
eingesteckt werden. Das eingesteckte Modul wird automatisch erkannt und mit der Einspeisung
und Versorgungsspannung verbunden.
Für den Geräteanschluss sind im Normalfall nur die 230 V-Einspeisung und der Busanschluss
notwendig. Die Einspeisung kann 1-, 2- oder 3-phasig erfolgen. Das Gerät erzeugt seine interne
Versorgungsspannung aus L1. Über den Modulplatz M1...M8 kann ein Modul einer bestimmten
Phase der Einspeisung zugeordnet werden.

schendecke. Die Handbedienung erlaubt sofort nach Zuschalten der Spannung die Überprüfung
der Modulfunktion und der Verdrahtung – auch im unprogrammierten Zustand.
Bei Busspannungsausfall bleibt die Gerätefunktion erhalten. Dadurch können geräteinterne Befeh-
le (z.B. ein Schaltbefehl eines Binäreingangs an einen Aktor) weiterhin ausgeführt werden.
Für Module mit 24 V DC-Einspeisung (z.B. 24 V DC-Jalousieaktoren) stellt das Gerät eine Steck-
klemmeneinrichtung zur Verfügung, um die direkte Verdrahtung der Einspeisung zu den Modulen
zu erleichtern.

Inbetriebnahme
Die Festlegung der Funktion erfolgt durch die Programmierung des Raum-Controller-Grundgerä-
tes. Nach Anlegen der Versorgungsspannung können die Gerätefunktionen durch die Handbedie-
nung getestet werden.

Reinigen
Verschmutzte Geräte können mit einem trockenen Tuch gereinigt werden. Reicht dies nicht aus,
kann ein mit Seifenlösung leicht angefeuchtetes Tuch benutzt werden. Auf keinen Fall dürfen
ätzende Mittel oder Lösungsmittel verwendet werden.
Wartung
Das Gerät ist wartungsfrei. Bei Schäden (z.B. durch Transport, Lagerung) dürfen keine Reparatu-
ren vorgenommen werden.

Vor dem Zuschalten der Spannung am Raum-Controller-Grundgerät müssen alle Steck-
klemmen ordnungsgemäß aufgesteckt sein.
Wichtige Hinweise:
Warnung! Gefährliche Spannung! Installation nur durch elektrotechnische Fachkraft.
Während Montagearbeiten ist das Raum-Controller-Grundgerät spannungsfrei zu schalten,
insbesondere
- während Montage oder Demontage aus dem Raum-Controller-Grundgerät!
- vor dem Abziehen von Steckklemmen!
- während Anschluss der Ausgänge!
Bei der Planung und Errichtung von elektrischen Anlagen sind die einschlägigen Normen, Richtli-

(1) Feed-in and supply
The feed-in can be single, two or 3 phase (50/60Hz). Phase L1 is the internal supply of the
device and of the connected modules. The feed-in is passed on to the position of the modu-
les. Operation of a 3-phase 230/400 V-network is permissible. Multi-connection of the same
phase not permitted if it is separately protected by several circuit breakers (danger of over-
loading the neutral conductor).

(3) Auxiliary 24 V DC feed-in
Some modules (e.g. 24 V DC blind actuator) require a separate feed-in, these are connected
directly to the modules. To make wiring easier, 24 V DC can be connected here, which is fed
on directly to the modules via the connecting cables. Terminals 7/8 serve for looping through
the 24 V DC. The connecting cable is enclosed with the modules.
The terminals can carry a constant maximum current of 8 A.
(4) Manual control and LED display
 Tooperatethemodulefunctionmanuallythemoduleistobeselectedrstviatherotary
selection switch (“Module select”). After this the module can be controlled via the button and
the state displayed via the LEDs (for more detail see section 4.3). If no module is selected,
the state of the bus voltage can be displayed with the aid of the control buttons.

(5) Programming key and LED
Please note that the programming key and LED only function when the power supply is con-
nected.
Background: To keep the consumption of the bus voltage low, the device is not supplied from
the bus.

Installation
The device is suitable for surface mounting in any position. Four screws (enclosed) connect the
devicetoalevelsurface.Theencloseddrilltemplatedenesthedrillingdimensions.Makesure
the device is level, if surface is not level, e.g. use shims. The electrical connection is realised using
plug-in screw terminals.
Make sure that the unit can be accessed at all times for operation, examination, inspection, main-
tenance and repair.

Device description
The RC/A 8.2 basic room controller unit can accommodate up to four plug-in modules. It controls
their function and communicates via the ABB i-bus®. Any type of module can be inserted in the
slots. Plugged modules are detected automatically and are connected to the feed and supply
voltage.
Normally only the 230 V feed-in and the bus connection are required for the connection of the
device. The feed-in can be single, two or 3 phase (50/60Hz). The device generates its own internal
power supply from L1. The feed-in can be assigned to a certain phase via module position M1...
M8.
Theatdesignoftheroomcontrollerallowsittobeinstalledinthebaseplateortheintermediate
ceiling. The manual control allows the function of the modules and the wiring to be tested immedi-
ately after the voltage is connected - even in unprogrammed state.
The function of the device is retained after the failure of the bus voltage. The allows internal com-
mands of the device (e.g. switching command of a binary input on an actuator) still to be carried
out.
For modules with a 24 V DC feed-in (e.g. 24 V DC blind actuators) the unit has a plug-in terminal

Cleaning

slightly impregnated with a soap solution. Do not use corrosive agents or solvents.
Maintenance
The unit is maintenance-free. Do not carry out any repairs when the unit is damaged (e.g. during
transport, storage).

Before connecting the voltage to the basic room controller, all plug-in terminals must be
properly inserted.
Important information:
Warning! Hazardous voltage! Installation by person with electrotechnical expertise only.
Disconnect the power to the basic room controller unit during installation activities, especially
- when installing or deinstalling the basic room controller unit.
- before removing the plug-in terminals!
- when connecting the outputs!
Please comply with all the relevant standards, guidelines, rules and regulations when planning and
setting up electrical installations.

L’alimentation peut être monophasée, biphasée ou triphasée (50/60 Hz). L’alimentation
interne de l’appareil et des modules connectés provient de la phase L1. L’alimentation est
transmise aux logements des modules. L’exploitation n’est pas autorisée dans un réseau
triphasé 230/400 V. Il est interdit de raccorder plusieurs fois la même phase si elle est proté-

4. CommandemanuelleetafchageDEL
Pour commander manuellement les fonctions des modules, sélectionner au préalable le
module à l’aide du sélecteur (“Module Select”). Le module peut alors être contrôlé à l’aide du
bouton-poussoir et l’état est signalé par les DEL (pour en savoir plus à ce sujet, voir la sec-
tion4.3).Siaucunmodulen’estsélectionné,lestouchesdecommandepermettentd’afcher
l’état de la tension du bus :

Notez que la touche de programmation et la DEL ne fonctionnent que si la tension

par le bus.

Installation
L‘appareilestconçupourunmontageapparentàl‘emplacementdevotrechoix.Laxationest
réalisée à l‘aide de quatre vis (fournies) sur un support plan. Le gabarit de perçage fourni déter-
mine les dimensions pour le perçage. En cas de support inégal, procéder à un alignement à l‘aide
de rondelles plates par exemple. Le raccordement électrique est réalisé via des bornes à vis en-
chables.
L‘accès à l‘appareil doit être possible pour son utilisation, son contrôle, son inspection, sa mainte-
nance et sa réparation.

Description de l‘appareil
L‘appareildebaseducontrôleurdepièceRC/A8.2peutrecevoirjusqu‘à8modulesenchables.
Il commande leur fonctionnement et communique via ABB i-bus®. À chaque emplacement, vous
pouvez insérer le type de module de votre choix. Le module inséré est automatiquement reconnu
et est relié à l‘alimentation et à la tension d‘alimentation.
En principe, seule l‘alimentation 230 V et le raccordement du bus sont nécessaires pour brancher
l‘appareil. L‘alimentation peut être monophasée, biphasée ou triphasée. L‘appareil produit sa
tension d‘alimentation interne à partir de L1. Avec le logement de module M1 M8, un module peut
être affecté à une phase précise de l‘alimentation.
La forme plate du contrôleur de pièce permet son intégration dans un sous-plancher ou un faux
plafond. Dès la mise sous tension, la commande manuelle peut contrôler le fonctionnement des
modulesetlecâblage,mêmeenl‘absencedeprogrammation.
En cas de défaillance de la tension du bus, l‘appareil continue de fonctionner. Les commandes
internes de l‘appareil (par ex. commande de commutation d‘une entrée binaire d‘un actuateur)
peuvent encore être exécutées.
Pour les modules dotés d‘une alimentation 24 V CC (par ex. actuateurs de store 24 V CC),
