Installation Guide
JSM D28 Handle profile
General description
JSM D28 is a handle/cover in aluminum for Magne 2, Magne 3 and Magne 4, designed to be used on
conventional doors with a minimum opening radius of 200 mm.
Magne, Eva, anchor plate and cellular rubber are not included in JSM D28, these items has to be ordered
separately.

Eva – Orientation and mounting
Depending on how Magne is mounted on the fence, Eva and the anchor plate can be mounted in two ways.
Ensure that Eva is oriented and mounted in the corresponding mounting holes to which the Magne model
is mounted. See figures below for different ways of orientation and mounting of Eva.
Installation and mounting
Note! In the following step by step illustration, a Magne 4 is mounted.
1.
Pre-assemble Magne and mount it on to the door
post.
2.
Mount Eva sensor with self-tapping screw 4,2x16
(x2). Make sure Eva is oriented correctly and that
the correct mounting holes are used.
IMPORTANT!
Orientation and mounting position of Eva
depends on Magne model and how Magne is
mounted on the fence. Spacer DA2 has to be used
in the holes at the back side of Eva.

3.
Mount positioning/stop screw (1 pce 4,2x16 and 3
pcs DA2) for the anchor plate.
4.
Pre-assemble the anchor plate with cellular rubber.
Tighten the screws by hand, do not use any tool.
IMPORTANT!
Over tightening might deform the anchor plate,
with decreased holding force as result. A
deformed anchor plate has to be replaced.
5.
Insert/slide the anchor plate in to the handle
profile.
6.
Mount the positioning/stop screw (1 pce 4,2x16
and 3 pcs DA2) for the anchor plate.
7.
Pre-assemble the handle profile using a M6-
mounting kit.
8.
Mount the two end caps using self-tapping screws
3,2x13 (x6).
Note! End cap with opening for cable can be
mounted on any profile end. The fourth screw is
mounted later on (see step 11)

9.
Install the handle profile on to the door and make
sure its placement is aligned with Magne.
10.
Insert the cover profile.
11.
Mount the two remaining self-tapping screws
(3,2x13) to fix the cover plate and to finalize the
installation.
12.
To ensure that the function is working correctly,
open/close the door several times.
