Setup
Preparation
To avoid transport damag s th Challenger
com s in a car fully d sign d packing and is
partially pr ass mbl d.
W r comm nd to hav a plan ar a of about
400x600mm² / 16x24 squar inch for s tup.
First, tak out th chassis and plac it on th
d signat d op rating plac .
Levelling
Aft r placing th chassis you can l v l th turn-
tabl by turning th 3 f t’s ins rt using a coin
. g.. Us a suitabl bubbl l v l for adjustm nt
( . g. Acoustic-Signatur s dual axis bubbl l v l,
s pictur b low).

von ca. 400x600mm².
N hm n Si nun vorsichtig das Chassis aus d r
V rpackung und st ll n s auf d n vorg s h -
n n B tri bsplatz.
Ausrichten
Nach d m Aufst ll n d s Chassis könn n Si d n
Platt nspi l r sofort durch V rdr h n d s
Schraub insatz s d r 3 Füss (z. B. mit in r
Münz ) und mit Hilf in r g ign t n Wass r-
waag (z. B. Acoustic-Signatur s Dopp l-
Wass rwaag , si h Bild unt n) ausricht n.

Mounting the platter
Tak away th cov r strip ov r th b aring hol .
Ins rt th platt r car fully into th b aring. Tak
car that it slid s in slowly and asily.
Do not let the platter drop into the bearing
hole as this may damage the bearing.
Turn th platt r by hand to mak sur it spins
asily.
Now plac th b lt around th platt r and motor
pull y.
Finally plac th provid d l ath r mat onto th
platt r.

Lassen Sie den Teller nicht in die Lagerboh-
rung fallen da dies das Lager beschädigen
kann.

Place the motor unit
Plac th motor unit at an optional position
around th platt r. Normally th motor unit is
plac d on th opposit sid of th ton arm.
Th distanc of th motor unit (its axis) to th
c nt r of th platt r should b around
210mm/8,27”.
Fitting a tonearm
Now you can start to mount th ton arm and
cartridg (if not suppli d alr ady mount d) ac-
cording to th s tup manual of th manufactur r.
B for mounting a ton arm you n d to mount
th appropriat armboard (if not suppli d alr ady
mount d).
W provid armboards for a wid rang of ton -
arms. Pl as contact us for furth r information.
If want d, you can dismount th ton arm bas
for changing th armboard by loos ning th M8 –
scr w, using an All n k y siz 6.
Plac your chos n armboard onto th 3 spac r
and tight n it with th 3 M4x75 - scr ws.
Th radial position of th armboard can b ad-
just d within ±25°. Th distanc c nt r platt r to

Operating the Challenger
Position th Control unit c ntrically b tw n th
front f t, so that both buttons ar asily acc s-
sibl .
On th l ft top sid of th Control unit ar 2 push
buttons mark d with ON/OFF and 33/45.
Simply pr ss th ON/OFF - button for starting th
Challenger.
Th Challenger is quipp d with a r sum func-
tion, so th last chos n sp d is activ wh n
turning on. Changing th sp d works with
pr ssing th 33/45 - button.
As long as th Challenger sp ds up or down,
th LED is blinking. Wh n th blinking stops your
Chall ng r is lock d into th s l ct d sp d.
