Your Acv8rlives PUFFClicker
Please read this manual carefully before you use your new device so that you do not injure yourself or others, or
cause damage to your new device through improper use.
Intended Use
The Acv8rlives PUFFClicker is a counter for pressurised metered dose inhalers (pMDI) connected to Asthma+me or
Acv8rlives4 Health+Wellness Apps, which allows you to count your doses, your steps, reminders to take
medicaon and indicates that the inhaler has been shaken.
If in any doubt about your health, please consult your medical team rst and follow their advice closely.
Your Acv8rlives PUFFClicker
The Acv8rlives PUFFClicker is made up of the Module, Cap, Clip, USB Charging Cable and prescribed Inhaler (not
provided).
The Acv8rlives PUFFClicker module has a rechargeable baery, which cannot be removed. There are no user-
serviceable parts and opening the Module case will void your warranty.

Health and Safety Noces
WARNINGS: The Acv8rlives PUFFClicker contains small internal components and magnets that may
cause a choking hazard.
WARNING: Avoid using the Acv8rlives PUFFClicker in strong electrostac and electromagnec elds
as these may cause the Acv8rlives PUFFClicker to reset. The Acv8rlives PUFFClicker will need to be
reconnected to the Asthma+me App or Acv8rlives4 Health+Wellness App if this occurs.
MEDICAL ALERT: Asthma can be a life-threatening condion. Always take the medicaon as prescribed.
If you experience any asthma-related symptoms of shortness of breath that does not get beer aer
using your Reliever inhaler; trouble walking and talking because of shortness of breathe; blue lips or
ngernails; severe wheezing; or a peak ow reading of less than 50% of your personal best, refer to your
Care Plan and follow the instrucons carefully. If you connue to have symptoms, consult your medical
team. Do not rely on the Acv8rlives PUFFClicker to diagnose or manage your Asthma.
This device is not a toy. Only recommended for children 5 years of age and over and only under adult
supervision.
Can be wiped clean with an ansepc wipe and dried with a so microber cloth. Don’t use harsh cleaning
products as these will cause damage to your Acv8rlives PUFFClicker. Don’t allow sharp objects to scratch
the device as this may damage it and make it more dicult to clean.
The Acv8rlives PUFFClicker Module is not waterproof. Do not submerge it in water or put into a washing
machine or dryer, as this will irreparably damage it.
Do not allow your Acv8rlives PUFFClicker to be subjected to forces, shocks, dust, temperature changes or
humidity over the range specied at the back of this User Manual. Harsh physical treatment may stop your
Acv8rlives PUFFClicker from working properly. Don’t expose your Acv8rlives PUFFClicker to direct
sunlight for long periods of me.
Don’t remove the back cover of the Module and tamper with the internal components. If you do, you will
damage the device. The Acv8rlives PUFFClicker also contains small internal components, which present a
serious choking hazard for small children. Only use under adult supervision.
Do not rely solely on the Reminder capabilies of the Acv8rlives PUFFClicker, Asthma+me App or
Acv8rlives4 Health+Wellness App, to take your prescribed medicaon as directed by your Medical
Team.
The Acv8rlives PUFFClicker Module contains a rechargeable lithium baery. It takes about 120 minutes to
charge and with typical use, will last 7 days before recharging is required. Only use the Magnec USB
Charging Cable supplied. Avoid rapid chargers over 1Amp as these decrease the lifeme of your
rechargeable baery. The typical lifeme of this products rechargeable baery is 200-300 charges. If you
are planning to store the device for a long period of me, charge it rst before storage. When disposing of
the Module, ensure that it is collected separately for special treatment as it contains a lithium baery that
should not be disposed of as normal household waste.
If you experience any serious incident that occurs in relaon to this device, please report this to
Asepka Limited (Acv8rlives) and the competent authority of the Member State in which you are
based.

Charging Your Acv8rlives PUFFClicker
Your Acv8rlives PUFFClicker has a rechargeable lithium baery integrated into the Module. It takes about
120 minutes to fully charge with the Magnec USB Charging Cable supplied. A full charge gives 7 days of
life.
You can charge your Acv8rlives PUFFClicker by connecng the magnec end of the USB Charging Cable
(with the two small round magnets) to the boom of the Acv8rlives PUFFClicker Module at the
corresponding magnets. The other end of the USB Charging Cable (at end) insert into a PC, laptop or
power strip. Only use the USB Charging Cable supplied as others are not compable.
If the Acv8rlives PUFFClicker is running low on power, the LOW BATTERY iwarning symbol will
appear on the LCD screen. When fully charged the symbol will appear as

Aach the pins at the boom of the Acv8rlives
PUFFClicker to the corresponding magnec pins on the
USB Charging Cable, making sure that both pins are
touching.
Slot the the USB Charging Cable (at end)
into a PC, laptop or power strip. Only use
Laptops, PCs or chargers with 0.5Amp or
1Amp.

Note: Do not tamper or aempt to open the module in which the rechargeable baery is housed. Your
warranty will be invalidated if you do. Substances contained within the baery may damage the
environment or human health if handled and thus there is a risk of electrical shock or burns. When
disposing of this product and its integrated baery, ensure that it is collected separately for correct
disposal and not as normal household waste.
How Does the Acv8rlives PUFFClicker Work?
The Acv8rlives PUFFClicker has a built-in sensor and counter that enables it to count the number of pus you
take of your Asthma pMD inhaler when you press down on the Cap at the top of the device.
It also has a 3-axis accelerometer chip and a microprocessor, which detects how you move (accelerate) in three
dimensions and this allows it to count how many steps you take each day if you carry it with you (ideally carry
your blue Reliever with you everywhere). It also is used to calculate if you have shaken your inhaler, before you
use it, to maximise the inhaler drug delivered to your lungs.

Assembling Your PUFFClicker
Select the Acv8rlives PUFFClicker that match your inhaler(s) that you use everyday or occasionally, which then
needs to be assembled with your prescribed inhaler(s) (not included).
Your Acv8rlives PUFFClicker consists of: Module, Cap and Clip, which ts together easily by following the
instrucons below. When ng the parts together, you will hear a CLICK when each part is in its correct
posion.

Let’s get started with the Set-up and Connect to the Asthma+me App
The Acv8rlives PUFFClicker is programmed by and uploads informaon directly to and from your Acv8rlives
account each me your Smartphone or Tablet (not included) is connected to it wirelessly by Bluetooth 4.0.
This guide will show you how to:
Install the Asthma+me App to your iOS or Android Smartphone or Tablet;
Register as a Parent and your Child, or just for Yourself;
Sengs and features to personalise your Asthma+me experience.
If you follow these direcons sequenally, it will take you about 10-15 minutes to
learn how to count your inhaler doses, acvity and connect to the Asthma+me
App.

Acv8rlives4 Health+Wellness App
Intended Use for the Asthma+me App :
Asthma+me App is a mobile applicaon intended for use in the home to assist people to receive and review
informaon from connected medical and non-medical devices, track medicaon use and record other events such
as asthma aacks, for eecve health self-management. The user also can share the data via sharing funcons.
The is classied as a Class 1 medical device under MEDDEV 2. 4/1 Rev. 9 June 2010 as per the requirements set out
in Annex IX of Direcve 93/42/EEC as amended 2007/47/EC.
Health and Safety Noces for the Asthma+me App:
Asthma+me App is not intended to monitor vital physiological parameters where variaon could result in
immediate danger.
Asthma can be a life-threatening condion. Always take the medicaon as prescribed. If you experience any

Installing the Asthma+me App on Your Smartphone or Tablet (Bluetooth 4.0 Enabled
Devices are required to use the PUFFClicker and Asthma+me App requires a Monthly Subscripon).
Download the Asthma+me App from the App Store appropriate to your device. Search for Asthma+me in the search
bar of your App Store or scan the QR code below and it will take you to the appropriate App Store for your device.
Apple devices running iOS 10 or above that are Bluetooth Smart Ready
(typically Bluetooth 4.0 or later) - iPhone 5 or later, iPad 4th generaon or
later, iPad Mini 2 or later, all iPad Air and iPad Pro models or iPod touch
6th generaon.
Android devices running Android 5.0 or later that are Bluetooth Smart
Ready (typically Bluetooth 4.0 or later).
Amazon Kindle Fire devices running Amazon Fire OS 5.0 or later that are
Bluetooth Smart Ready (typically Bluetooth 4.0 or later) - Kindle Fire (5th
generaon or later), Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HDX (4th generaon or
later).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please adjust the screen lock funcon on your
Smartphone or Tablet to be longer than 2 minutes to allow the
Acv8rlives PUFFClicker me to sync with your device.
Short mes of less than 2 minutes cause frequent loss of connecvity.

Why Register as a Parent?
Use this opon if your child is 12 years and under, or
not yet ready to manage their own asthma.
These instrucons are for a Parent (we call them the
Carer) that manages their child(ren)’s asthma and
require access to their child's data. Your child can
have their own smart devices or you can share your
device with them.
Please follow the instrucons provided on the
Asthma+me App screen if you're Registering an
account as a Parent for your child.
Register as Parent (Carer)
Once you have installed the Asthma+me App, open
the App making sure your Smartphone or Tablet is
connected to the internet with Bluetooth switched
on.
If you have already Registered, you can Login to
your Acv8rlives account. Click the Login icon and
enter your Username and Password.
If you have not previously Registered for your
Acv8rlives account, then click the Register an
Account buon on the App screen.
Remember your Username (email) and Password
details associated with your account and keep these
safe. You use the same Username and Password to
access your account via the web:
www.acv8rlives.com.
Note: Your contact details, including your telephone
number will be used in the Emergency Contact
Details secon of the child's Care and Acon Plan.

Compleng Parent Registraon
Entering a PIN number is oponal but it is
recommended for younger children. The PIN will
prevent your child from accessing and changing
important informaon about their Asthma and its care.
Adding Your Child(ren) (Caree)
Aer Login as a parent, open the Menu and navigate to
Family.
The top account is the Parent account, as you act as
the Carer. Touch Add First Caree (that’s the name we
call a Child or Young Person) to start the Registraon
process for your child.
Please complete the Registraon process with your
child as they will be able to choose dierent Avatars
and Themes for their account.
Make sure the Carer account is acve. Touch the Add
Caree buon to proceed.
In the second screen the top account is your Carer
account. Click Add a Caree to start the Registraon
process for your child.
Please complete the Registraon process with your
child as they will be able to choose dierent avatars
and themes for their account.
Note: Only cells containing a Public tag will be visible to
other users on Acv8rlives Apps if the child subscribes
to a Support Group, i.e. in the examples on the le-
hand side I Prefer to be called and highlighted Avatar
will be public, but not the full name of the Caree.
Note: You must set-up a new account for each child
that you care for.

About Your Child (Caree)
We need to add a lile more informaon about your
child (Caree) so their Care Plan will idenfy them. What
is their name and what would they like to be called —
I like to be called?
Note: Only cells containing a Public tag will be visible to
other users on Acv8rlives Apps if the child subscribes to
a Support Group, i.e. in the examples on the le-hand
side I Prefer to be called and highlighted Avatar will be
public, but not the full name of the Caree.
Avatars and Themes will personalise your child’s
Asthma+me App interface and they will be able to
change this in Sengs at any me.
Choose the Theme from the pull down menu and touch
Next.

About Your Child’s Asthma
Gender and date of birth are used to calculate health
parameters such as your child's target peak ow.
Your child's peak ow will be automacally calculated
based on their parameters for age, gender and height
provided upon Registraon. You can input their own
targets if they have been given dierent values by their
doctor.
Tick all of the triggers that apply to your child (Caree).
These sengs will be used to populate your child's Care
& Acon Plan and to make the Asthma+me experience
relevant to them.
During the Registraon process you can select any
Acv8rlives devices that you have. Once you have
completed your Registraon you will automacally be
directed to your Dashboard and these devices will now
show up on your Dashboard so that you can quickly take
a reading by touching the image of the device and it will
start the upload process.
Remember your Username (email) and Password details
associated with your account and keep these safe. You
use the same Username and Password to access your
account via the web: www.acv8rlives.com.
Registraon for 13 Years—Adults
Anyone over the age of 13 years and
that doesn’t want to share their data
with a Parent/Carer may set-up their
own account for themselves.
Please follow the instrucons provided
on the Asthma+me App screen if
you're Registering an account Just for
myself.
Note: Details for the Emergency
Contact Details that are inserted into
your Care & Acon Plan will need to be
that of a Parent /Carer /Partner so
that in an emergency someone else
other than you can be contacted.

Set-up, Manage & Track Your
Medicaon(s)
These pages will help you set-up, manage and track
your medicaons.
Open the Menu and navigate to Medicaon.
Please choose the type of medicaon: Preventer,
Reliever, Steroid, LTRA, Anbioc, Bronchodilator,
Decongestant, Anhistamine or Other.
Preventers, Relievers and LTRAs have pre-congured
opons to help you select the correct medicaon. Refer
to the packaging to enter the correct name, strength
and quanty of doses.
Add a Reminder for each me you have to take this
medicaon, or you can toggle the buon to take the
medicaon when necessary. Add the number of doses
you have to take each me when the reminder appears.
To Change the Batch of a recorded Medicaon
(Asthma+me App navigate to Menu > Family and make
the Carer acve) or (Acv8rlives4 Health+Wellness App
select Medicaon) select the Medicaon you wish to
edit, touch Track a dose, then Close batch. Follow the
instrucons above to Add batch.
Note: See Page 8 for compable pMDIs for the
Acv8rlives PUFFClicker.

Daily Asthma Dairy
You can take a Daily Asthma Diary to track how your
Asthma is aecng your daily life.
Weekly Asthma Survey
From your Dashboard, touch the le for your Weekly
Survey and this helps to see how your Asthma
symptoms have been over the course of a week.
Asthma Lessons
A series of short mulmedia Lessons are available for
you to view and work through.
A Quiz at the end of each Lesson may have one
correct answer or can have mulple answers. Correct
answers will light-up in Green and you will then be
allowed to nish the Lesson. Incorrect answers will
light-up in Red, and you will be asked to try again.

Care and Acon Plans
Everyday Asthma Care
The rst part of your Care Plan is what you need
to do everyday to stay well - Everyday Asthma
Care. From this you and anyone who provides
medical care for you will know your personal best
peak ow, what is the name and strength of your
inhalers, how many pus of preventer you need
to take and when to take your reliever based on
your Care Plan. It will also inform you and anyone
who provides medical care for you of what other
medicaon you are taking. It will also list your
asthma triggers and your next Asthma Review.
When I Feel Worse
The second part of your Care Plan will let you and
anyone who provides medical care for you
recognise signs that you're feeling worse and
steps you can take straight away to get your
asthma back under control and help you feel
beer.
You should follow the instrucons carefully to get
your Asthma back under control.
In an Asthma Aack
The third part of your Care Plan will let you and
anyone who provides medical care for you know
what to do in case of an Asthma Aack. This
secon contains the contact details of your
Emergency Contact (usually a parent/carer/
partner), signs showing you're In an asthma
aack and what emergency acons to take to
help you.
You should show this secon to an appropriate
adult if you think that you are having an asthma
aack (such as teacher, scout leader, friend's
parent, partner, work colleague).
Access via Menu, select Care Plan
The Care & Acon Plan can be
downloaded as a PDF le that
you can send via Email and
print out copies.
