technischem Standard und von bewährter Qualität erworben.
Bitte lesen Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme sorgfältig durch
und bewahren sie dann gut auf, damit Ihnen diese Informationen bei Bedarf immer
wieder zur Verfügung stehen.
1. Inbetriebnahme
Einlegen der Batterie:
Öffnen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel an der Unterseite der Waage und legen die
mitgelieferten Batterien (3 x 1,5V AAA) ein. Bitte achten Sie auf die richtige Polung der
Batterien (+/-).
Sicherheitshinweise:
Bitte achten Sie darauf, dass keine Gegenstände auf die
Waagen fallen, da ansonsten die Waage Schaden nehmen
könnte.
Reinigen Sie die Waage nur mit einem feuchten Tuch. Verwen-
den Sie keine Lösungs- oder Scheuermittel. Nicht unter Wasser
tauchen. Alle Kunststoffteile der Waage sollten direkt nach dem
Kontakt mit Fett, Gewürzen, Essig und anderen stark gewürzten
und eingefärbten Lebensmitteln gereinigt werden. Vermeiden
Sie den Kontakt mit Zitronensäure.
2. Bedienung
Einschalten der Waage :
Stellen Sie die Waage auf einen festen und ebenen Untergrund. Drücken Sie zum
Einschalten die |TARE-Taste. Die Hintergrundbeleuchtung geht an und im Display
erscheinen zuerst alle Zeichen. Nachdem sich die Waage stabilisiert hat erscheint je nach
Einstellung die Anzeige „0 g“ / „0.0 fl.oz“ / „0: 0.0 lb oz“ oder „0 ml“. Die Waage ist nun
zum Wiegen bereit.
Gewichtseinhe iten:
Durch Drücken der UNIT-Taste können Sie die länderspezifische Gewichtseinheit
verändern (g = Gramm / fl.oz = fluid ounce / lb oz = pound ounce / ml = Milliliter). Achten
Sie bitte darauf, dass die Waage auf die für Sie maßgebliche Gewichtseinheit eingestellt
ist.
Zuwiege-(Tara-)Fun ktion:
Durch Drücken der |TARE-Taste können Sie die Waage auf „0 g“ setzen. Stellen Sie
z.B. eine Schüssel auf die Wiegeplattform, drücken |TARE und setzen somit die
Waage wieder auf „0 g“. Dieser Vorgang lässt sich bis zum Erreichen der
Gesamtkapazität der Waage (5 kg) beliebig oft wiederholen. Nach dem Abnehmen des
Wiegeguts wird das Gesamtgewicht angezeigt.
Automatische s Abschalten der Waage:
Wenn sich das angezeigte Gewicht innerhalb von ca. zwei Minuten nicht verändert,
schaltet sich die Waage automatisch aus. Um die Batterien zu schonen, können Sie durch
ca. 2 sekundenlanges Drücken der |TARE-Taste die Waage nach der Benutzung
manuell abschalten.
3. Fehlermeldungen
„Lo“ = Anzeige Batterie leer - Bitte ersetzen Sie die Batterien mit dem
für Ihre Waage vorgesehenen Batterietyp (3 x 1.5V AAA).
„EEEE“ = Überlastanzeige – Max. Kapazität der Waage von 5 kg wurde
überschritten. Nehmen Sie sofort die Last von der Waage, da
ansonsten die Wägezelle Schaden nehmen könnte.

5. Garantie
WAAGEN-SCHMITT garantiert für 3 Jahre ab Kaufdatum die kostenfreie Behebung von
Mängeln aufgrund Material- oder Fabrikationsfehlern durch Reparatur oder Austausch.
Bitte bei Kauf Garantieabschnitt vom Händler ausfüllen und stempeln lassen. Im
Garantiefall die Waage, mit Garantieabschnitt unter Angabe des Reklamationsgrundes, an
Ihren Händler zurückgeben.
Hinweis: Unter extremen elektromagnetischen Einflüssen z.B. bei Betreiben eines
Funkgerätes in unmittelbarer Nähe der Waage kann eine Beeinflussung des Anzeige-
wertes verursacht werden. Nach Ende des Störeinflusses ist das Produkt wieder
bestimmungsgemäß benutzbar, ggfls. ist ein Wiedereinschalten erforderlich.
Gesetzliche Hinweispflicht zur Batterie-Entsorgung:
Batterien gehören nicht in den Hausmüll. Als Verbraucher sind Sie gesetzlich dazu
verpflichtet, gebrauchte Batterien zurückzugeben. Sie können Ihre alten Batterien bei den
öffentlichen Sammelstellen in Ihrer Gemeinde oder überall dort abgeben, wo Batterien der
betreffenden Art verkauft werden.

SCHMITT Company. You have purchased a set of scales of the highest technical
standard and proven quality.
Please read through this operating manual carefully before starting-up the scales for the
first time, and keep it in a safe place so that this information is available to you when you
need it.
1. Start-up
Inserting the battery:
Open the battery compartment cover on the underside of the scales and insert the
provided batteries (3 x 1.5V AAA). Please be mindful of the correct polarity of the
batteries (+/-).
Safety information:
Please take care not to let any objects fall onto the scales,
otherwise the scales could be damaged.
Only clean the scales with a damp cloth. Do not use any solvents
or abrasive cleaning products. Do not immerse in water. All
plastic parts of the scales should be cleaned immediately after
contact with fat, spices, vinegar and other strongly seasoned and
coloured foodstuffs. Avoid contact with citric acid.
2. Operation
Switching on the scales:
Place the scales on a firm, level base. To switch on, press the |TARE button. The
backlighting comes on and the display initially shows at first all characters. After the
scales have stabilised, they display "0 g", "0.00 fl.oz", "lb 0: 0.0 oz" or "0 ml", depending
on the setting. The scales are now ready to weigh.
Units of weight:
Pressing the UNIT button allows you to change country-specific units of weight (g =
grams / fl.oz = fluid ounces / lb: oz = pounds: ounces / ml = millilitres). Please ensure
that the scales are set to the appropriate units of weight for you.
Tare Func tion:
Pressing the |TARE button allows you to set the scales to "0 g". Place a bowl, for
example, on the platform of the scales, press the |TARE button and in this way set the
scales back to "0 g". You can repeat this procedure as often as you like until the total
capacity of the scales (5 kg) has been reached. After you remove the item(s) to be
weighed, the total weight is displayed as a minus value.
Automatic/manua l switch-off of the scales:
If the displayed weight does not change within about two minutes, the scales switch
themselves off automatically. To conserve batteries life, you can switch off the scales
manually by pressing the |TARE button for approximately two seconds after you have
finished using them.
3. Error Messages
“Lo” = Indication that the battery is flat – Please replace the batteries with three
1.5V AAA.
“EEE E” = Overload display – The 5 kg maximum capacity of the scales has been
exceeded. Immediately remove the load from the scales; otherwise, the
load cell could be damaged.

2. Warranty
WAAGEN-SCHMITT guarantees the free correction of defects resulting from material or
manufacturing faults through repair or exchange 3 years from the purchase date. Please
get your warranty section filled out and stamped by the retailer when you make your
purchase. In case of warranty, return the scales to your retailer along with the warranty
section indicating the reason for your complaint.
Please note: Under extreme electromagnetic influences e.g. when operating a radio
device in immediate proximity to the scales, the indicator value may be affected. After the
disturbing influence has stopped, the product may once again be used as intended,
although a re-activation may be necessary.
Legal duty to inform about battery disposal:
Batteries do not belong in household waste. As a consumer you are legally obligated to
return batteries. You can hand in your old batteries at the public collection point in your
community or anywhere where batteries of the same kind are sold.

1. Inicio
Introduzca las baterías:
Abra la tapa del compartimento de las baterías en la parte inferior de la báscula e
introduzca las pilas suministradas (3 x 1,5 V AAA). Tenga en cuenta la polaridad correcta
de las baterías (+/-).
Información de seguridad:
Tenga cuidado de no dejar que ningún objeto caiga sobre la
báscula, ya que se podría averiar.
Limpie la báscula solamente con un paño húmedo.
No utilice
disolventes o productos de limpieza abrasivos. No la sumerja en
agua. Debe limpiar inmediatamente todas las piezas de plástico de
la báscula si entran en contacto con grasa, especias, vinagre y
otros alimentos con mucho condimento o color. Evite el contacto
con el ácido cítrico.
2. Manejo
Conexión de la balanza:
Coloque la balanza sobre una base plana y nivelada. Para encenderla, pulse el botón
|TARE. La luz de fondo se enciende y en el display aparecen primero todos los
caracteres. Cuando la balanza se ha estabilizado, en función del ajuste se muestra
"0 g" / "0.0 fl.oz" / "0: 0.0 lb oz" o "0 ml". La balanza está ahora lista para pesar.
Unidades de peso:
Presionando el botón UNIT se puede modificar la unidad de peso nacional específica (g
= gramos / fl.oz. = onzas líquidas / lb:oz = libras onzas / ml = milímetros). Asegúrese de
que la balanza tenga ajustada la unidad de peso que sea aplicable en su caso.
Función de pesaje adicional (tara):
Pulsando el botón |TARE puede poner la balanza en "0 g". Coloque un cuenco, por
ejemplo, en el plato de pesaje pulse |TARE y ajuste entonces la balanza de nuevo en
"0". Esta operación se puede repetir las veces que haga falta hasta alcanzar la
capacidad total de la báscula (5 kg). Cuando se retire de nuevo el producto pesado, se
mostrará el peso total.
Desconexión automática de la balanza:
Cuando el peso visualizado no cambia durante dos minutos, aproximadamente, la
balanza se apaga automáticamente. Para economizar pilas, puede también después de
cada utilización apagar manualmente la balanza presionando durante unos 2 segundos el
botón |TARE.
3. Mensajes de error
"Lo" = Indicación de que la pila está agotada. Sustituya las pilas por otras
nuevas del tipo previsto para su balanza (3 unidades 1.5V AAA).
"EEEE" = Indicación de sobrecarga. Se ha excedido la capacidad máx. de 5 kg
de la balanza. Retire inmediatamente la carga de la balanza, porque en
caso contrario la célula de carga podría llegar a dañarse.
4. Datos técnicos

5. Garantía
WAAGEN-SCHMITT garantiza la corrección gratuita de los fallos que se produzcan por
culpa de defectos del material o de fabricación, reparándolos o sustituyéndolos en un
plazo de 3 años desde la fecha de compra. Rellene la sección de la garantía y obtenga el
sello del vendedor en el momento de realizar su compra. En caso de garantía, devuelva la
báscula a su vendedor, junto con la sección de garantía indicando el motivo de su
reclamación.
Indicación: Cuando la balanza está sometida a influencias electromagnéticas extremas,
por ejemplo por el uso de un equipo radioeléctrico en las proximidades inmediatas, el
valor visualizado puede resultar afectado. Cuando finalice la influencia parásita, el
producto se puede utilizar de nuevo conforme a su fin previsto. Puede ser que haya que
volver a conectarlo.
Información legal obligatoria sobre la eliminación de la pila:
Las pilas no son residuos domésticos. El usuario tiene el deber legal de entregar para su
reciclaje las pilas gastadas. Puede entregar las pilas inservibles en los puntos públicos de
recogida dispuestos al efecto en su localidad y en todos los establecimientos en que se
vendan pilas de ese tipo.

Veuillez lire attentivement ce manuel d'utilisation avant de mettre en marche la balance
pour la première fois, et conservez-le dans un endroit sûr afin que cette information vous
soit disponible en cas de besoin.
1. Mise en marche
Insertion des piles :
Enlevez le couvercle du compartiment à piles à l'arrière de la balance et insérez les piles
fournies (3 x 1.5V AAA). Veuillez prendre garde à respecter la polarité des piles (+/-).

Nettoyez la balance uniquement ave
c un chiffon humide.
N’utilisez pas de solvants ou de produits de nettoyage abrasifs.
Ne la plongez pas dans l'eau. Toutes les pièces en plastique des
balances devraient être nettoyées immédiatement après avoir été
en contact avec graisses, épices, vinaigre et autres produits
alimentaires fortement assaisonnés et colorés. Éviter tout contact
avec de l'acide citrique.
2. Commande
Mise en marche de la balance :
Placez la balance sur une surface plane et stable. Appuyez sur la touche |TARE afin
de mettre en marche. L'éclairage de fond s'allume et tous les signes s'affichent d'abord
à l'écran. Après que la balance se soit stabilisée, "0 g" / "0.0 fl.oz" / "0: 0.0 lb oz" ou "0
ml" apparaît en fonction du réglage. La balance est maintenant prête pour la pesée.
Unités de poids :
Vous pouvez modifier l'unité de poids spécifique à chaque pays (g = gramme / fl.oz =
fluid ounce / lb oz = pound ounce / ml = millimètre) en appuyant sur la touche UNIT.
Veillez à ce que la balance soit réglée sur l'unité de poids désirée.
Fonction remise à zéro (tare) :
En appuyant sur la touche |TARE, vous pouvez remettre la balance sur "0 g". Placez
par exemple un plat sur le plateau de pesée, appuyez sur |TARE et remettez ainsi la
balance sur "0 g". Ce processus peut être répété aussi souvent que nécessaire jusqu'à
ce que la capacité totale de la balance (5 kg) soit atteinte. Après avoir enlevé le produit à
peser, le poids total est indiqué.
Arrêt automatique de la balance :
Si le poids indiqué ne change pas au bout de deux minutes environ, la balance s'éteint
automatiquement. Afin de ménager la pile, vous pouvez éteindre la balance manuellement
après l'avoir utilisée en appuyant sur la touche |TARE pendant environ 2 secondes.
3. Messages d'erreur
"Lo" = Affichage batterie vide - Veuillez remplacer les piles avec le type prévu
pour votre balance (3 x 1.5V AAA).
"EEEE" = Indicateur de surcharge - Capacité maximale de la balance de 5 kg a
été dépassée. Enlevez immédiatement la charge de la balance,
autrement le capteur de pesage pourrait être endommagé.

5. Garantie
WAAGEN-SCHMITT garantit une correction gratuite de défauts provenant du matériel ou
de la fabrication soit en réparant soit en échangeant pendant 3 ans à compter de la date
d’achat. Veuillez faire remplir et tamponner la section concernant la garantie par le
détaillant au moment de l’achat. En cas de garantie, retournez la balance à votre
détaillant, avec la section concernant la garantie en indiquant le motif de votre plainte.
Remarque : En présence d'influences électromagnétiques extrêmes, par exemple, en cas
d'utilisation d'un appareil radio à proximité de la balance, la valeur indiquée peut être
influencée. Après la fin du frottement parasite, le produit peut être de nouveau utilisé de
manière conforme; une remise en marche peut s'avérer nécessaire.
Obligation légale d'indication relative à la mise au rebut des piles :
Les piles ne doivent pas être jetées dans les ordures ménagères. En tant que
consommateur, vous êtes tenu par la loi, de remettre les piles usagées. Vous pouvez
utiliser le centre de collecte public de votre commune, ou les remettre partout où les piles
du modèle concerné sont vendues.

Il simbolo sul prodotto o sulla confezione richiama
l'attenzione sul
fatto che questo prodotto non può essere smaltito insieme ai
rifiuti domestici, ma deve essere consegnato a un centro di
raccolta specializzato nel riciclaggio di apparecchi elettrici ed
elettronici. Maggiori informazioni sono reperibili presso il vostro
comune, le aziende di smaltimento comunali oppure il negozio
dove è stato acquistato il prodotto.

SCHMITT. Avete acquistato una bilancia avente un altissimo standard tecnico e una
qualità certificata.
Si prega di leggere attentamente questo manuale prima di utilizzare la bilancia per la
prima volta; conservatelo in un luogo sicuro in modo che queste informazioni siano
sempre a portata di mano.
1. Per iniziare
Inserire la batt eria:
Aprire il coperchio del vano batteria sul lato inferiore della bilancia e inserire le batterie in
dotazione (3 x 1,5V AAA). Fare attenzione alla corretta polarità delle batterie (+/-).
Informazioni di sicurezza:
Fare attenzione alla caduta di oggetti sulla bilancia per
conseguente danneggiamento.
Pulire la bilancia con un panno umido. Non utilizzare solventi o
detergenti abrasivi. Non immergere nell’acqua. Tutte le parti in
plastica della bilancia vanno pulite subito dopo il contatto con
alimenti grassi, spezie, aceto e altri prodotti alimentari fortemente
speziati e colorati. Evitare il contatto con acido citrico.
2. Uso
Accensione della bilancia:
Posizionare la bilancia su una base robusta e piana. Per l'accensione premere il tasto
|TARE. Si accende la retroilluminazione del display e per prima cosa vengono
visualizzati tutti i simboli. Dopo che la bilancia si è stabilizzata, compare la scritta "0 g" /
"0.0 fl.oz." / "0: 0.0 lb:oz" o "0 ml" (a seconda dell'unità di misura impostata). A questo
punto la bilancia è pronta per pesare.
Unità di misura:
Premendo il tasto UNIT è possibile modificare l'unità di misura (g = grammi / fl.oz. = once
liquide / lb:oz = libbre once / ml = millilitri). Accertarsi che l'unità di misura della bilancia
sia correttamente impostata.
Funzione Tara:
Premendo il tasto |TARE, la bilancia viene riportata a "0 g". Appoggiando p.es. sul
piatto della bilancia una scodella e premendo |TARE, la bilancia ritorna a "0". Questa
operazione può essere ripetuta a piacere sino al raggiungimento della capacità totale
della bilancia (5 kg). Dopo il prelevamento dell'oggetto pesato, viene visualizzato il peso
totale.
Spegnimento au tomatico della bilancia:
Se il peso visualizzato non varia entro un intervallo di circa due minuti, la bilancia si
spegne automaticamente. Per aumentare la durata delle batterie, è possibile spegnere
manualmente la bilancia dopo averla utilizzata: a tal fine, mantenere premuto per circa
2 secondi il tasto |TARE.
3. Messaggi di guasto
"Lo" = Batteria esaurita: sostituire la batteria con una batteria dello stesso
tipo (3 x 1.5V AAA).
"EEEE" = Bilancia sovraccarica: è stata superata la massima capacità di 5 kg
della bilancia. Rimuovere immediatamente il peso dalla bilancia, per
evitare di danneggiare la cella di carico.

5. Garanzia
WAAGEN-SCHMITTT garantisce la modifica gratuita di prodotti con difetti risultanti dal
materiale usato o difetti di fabbricazione mediante riparazione o sostituzione fino a 3 anni
dalla data di acquisto. Compilate la sezione inerente la garanzia e fatela timbrare dal
rivenditore una volta effettuato l'acquisto. In caso di garanzia, restituite la bilancia al
rivenditore insieme alla sezione sulla garanzia dove deve essere indicato il motivo del
reclamo.
Avvertenza: in presenza di forti influssi elettromagnetici, come quelli esercitati p.es. da un
apparecchio radio che funziona nelle immediate vicinanze della bilancia, è possibile
provocare un'alterazione del valore visualizzato. Al termine degli influssi elettromagnetici il
prodotto è di nuovo utilizzabile regolarmente, eventualmente dopo una riaccensione.
Obbligo legale sullo smaltimento delle batterie:
Non gettare le batterie insieme ai rifiuti domestici. Il consumatore è obbligato per legge a
restituire le batterie usate. Le batterie usate possono essere consegnate presso i centri di
raccolta pubblici del comune di residenza oppure in tutti i negozi dove vengono vendute
batterie di questo tipo.

Het symbool op het product of zijn verpakking wijst erop dat dit
product niet behandeld mag worden als gewoon huishoudelijk
afval maar afgegeven moet worden bij een verzameldepot voor
recycling van elektrische en elektronische apparaten. Meer
informatie hierover krijgt u bij uw gemeente, de gemeentelijke
afvalverwijderingsbedrijven of de zaak waar u het product hebt
gekocht.

Hartelijk bedankt voor het aanschaffen van dit kwaliteitsproduct van het Bedrijf
WAAGEN-SCHMITT. U hebt een weegschaal aangeschaft van de hoogste technische
standaard en van bewezen kwaliteit.
Lees deze gebruikshandleiding a.u.b. zorgvuldig door voordat u de weegschaal voor het
eerst gebruikt, en bewaar de instructies op een veilige plek zodat deze informatie altijd
beschikbaar is wanneer u het nodig hebt.
1. Starten
De batterijen installeren:
Open het klepje van de batterijhouder op de onderzijde van de weegschaal en installeer
de meegeleverde batterijen (3 x 1,5V AAA). Let hierbij a.u.b. op de juiste polariteit van de
batterijen (+/-).
Veiligheidinformatie:
Laat a.u.b. geen voorwerpen op de weegschaal vallen, om
beschadiging van het product te voorkomen.
Reinig de weegschaal uitsluitend met
een vochtig doekje. Gebruik
geen enkele oplosmiddelen of agressieve reinigingsproducten.
Nooit in water dompelen. Alle kunststof onderdelen van de
weegschaal dienen onmiddellijk te worden gereinigd na contact
met vet, kruiden, azijn en andere sterk gekruide en gekleurde
levensmiddelen. Vermijd enig contact met citroenzuur.
2. Bediening
Inscha kelen van de weegschaa l:
Plaats de weegschaal op een stevige en vlakke ondergrond. Druk voor het inschakelen
op de |TARE-toets. De achtergrondverlichting gaat aan en op het display verschijnen
eerst alle tekens. Nadat de weegschaal zich gestabiliseerd heeft, verschijnt al naargelang
de instelling "0 g" / "0.0 fl.oz" / "0: 0.0 lb oz" of "0 ml". De weegschaal is nu klaar om te
wegen.
Gewichtseen heden:
Door aanraken van de UNIT-toets kunt u de landspecifieke gewichtseenheid veranderen
(g = gram / fl.oz. = fluid ounce / lb oz = Engelse pond ounce / ml = milliliter). Let erop dat
de weegschaal op de voor u gebruikelijke gewichtseenheid is ingesteld.
Doorweeg-(tarra-)functie:
Door drukken van de |TARE-toets kunt u de weegschaal op "0 g" zetten. Plaats bijv.
een kom op het weegplatform, druk |TARE en zet daarmee de weegschaal weer op
"0 g". Deze stap kunt u tot het bereiken van de max. capaciteit van de weegschaal (5 kg)
zo vaak u wilt herhalen. Na het wegnemen van het weeggoed wordt het totale gewicht
weergegeven.
Automatisch uitscha kelen van de weegschaal:
Wanneer het weergegeven gewicht binnen ca. twee minuten niet verandert, schakelt de
weegschaal automatisch uit. Om de batterijen te sparen, kunt u door ca. 2 seconden lang
indrukken van de |TARE-toets de weegschaal na gebruik handmatig uitschakelen.
3. Foutmeldingen
"Lo" = Weergave batterij leeg - Vervang de batterij door het voor uw
weegschaal bestemde type batterij (3 x 1.5V AAA).
"EEEE" = Overbelasting - De max. capaciteit van de weegschaal van 5 kg werd
overschreden. Haal onmiddellijk de last van de weegschaal omdat
anders de weegcel kan beschadigen.

5. Garantie
WAAGEN-SCHMITT garandeert de kosteloze correctie van defecten als gevolg van
materiaal- of fabricagefouten middels reparatie of inwisseling, binnen 3 jaar vanaf de
aankoopdatum. Laat uw dealer a.u.b. de garantiesectie invullen en stempelen wanneer u
het product aanschaft. In het geval van claims onder garantie, lever de weegschaal a.u.b.
terug in bij uw dealer, samen met de garantiesectie waarin de reden van uw klacht staat
beschreven.
Opmerking: extreme elektromagnetische invloeden, bijv. het plaatsen van radioapparatuur
in de directe omgeving van de weegschaal, kunnen effect hebben op het weergeven van
de waarden. Na afloop van de storingsinvloed is het product weer gewoon klaar voor
gebruik, evt. moet het opnieuw worden ingeschakeld.
Wettelijke verplichting te wijzen op correct verwijderen van batterijen:
Batterijen behoren niet tot het huishoudelijk afval. Als verbruiker bent u wettelijk verplicht,
gebruikte batterijen terug te geven. U kunt uw oude batterijen afgeven bij de officiele
verzameldepots in uw gemeente of overal waar batterijen van de betreffende soort worden
verkocht.
