Introduction: Congratulations on your purchase of the ADJ Mirage Q6 Pak! This package includes 6
ADJ Mirage Q IP battery-operated, IP65-rated, RGBA LED chrome uplights, plus a charging flight case
with storage and charging capacity for these devices. All included devices have been designed to per-
form reliably for years when the guidelines in this booklet are followed. Please read and understand the
instructions in this manual carefully and thoroughly before attempting to operate the included devices.
These instructions contain important information regarding safety during use and maintenance.

WARRANTY RETURNS
All returned service items,whether under warranty or not, must be freight pre-paid and accompanied
by a return authorization (R.A.) number. The R.A. number must be clearly written on the outside of the
return package. A brief description of the problem as well as the R.A. number must also be written
down on a piece of paper included in the shipping carton. If the unit is under warranty, you must pro-
vide a copy of your proof of purchase invoice. You may obtain anR.A. number by contacting our cus-
tomer support team. All packages returned to the service department not displaying anR.A. number
on the outside of the package will be returned to the shipper.

A. ADJ Products, LLC hereby warrants, to the original purchaser, ADJ Products, LLC products to be free of
manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for a prescribed period from the date of purchase
(see specic warranty period on reverse). This warranty shall be valid only if the product is purchased
within the United States of America, including possessions and territories. It is the owner’s responsibility
to establish the date and place of purchase by acceptable evidence, at the time service is sought.
B. For warranty service, you must obtain a Return Authorization number (RA#) before sending the product
back—please contact ADJ Products, LLC Service Department at 800-322-6337. Send the product only to
the ADJ Products, LLC factory. All shipping charges must be prepaid. If the requested repairs or service
(including parts replacement) are within the terms of this warranty, ADJ Products, LLC will pay return ship-
ping charges only to a designated point within the United States. If the entire instrument is sent, it must be
shipped in its original package and packaging material. No accessories should be shipped with the prod-
uct. If any accessories are shipped with the product, ADJ Products, LLC shall incur no liability whatsoever
for loss of or damage to any such accessories, nor for the safe return thereof.
C. This warranty is void if the product serial number and/or labels are altered or removed; if the product is
modied in any manner which ADJ Products, LLC concludes, after inspection, aects the reliability of the
product; if the product has been repaired or serviced by anyone other than the ADJ Products, LLC factory
unless prior written authorization was issued to purchaser by ADJ Products, LLC; if the product is dam-
aged because it was not properly maintained as set forth in the product instructions, guidelines and/or
user manual.
D. This is not a service contract, and this warranty does not include maintenance, cleaning, or periodic
checkup. During the period specied above, ADJ Products, LLC will replace defective parts at its expense
with new or refurbished parts, and will absorb all expenses for warranty service and repair labor by reason
of defects in material or workmanship. The sole responsibility of ADJ Products, LLC under this warranty
shall be limited to the repair of the product, or replacement thereof, including parts, at the sole discretion
of ADJ Products, LLC. All products covered by this warranty were manufactured after August 15, 2012,
and bear identifying marks to that eect.
E. ADJ Products, LLC reserves the right to make changes in design and/or improvements upon its products
without any obligation to include these changes in any products theretofore manufactured.
F. No warranty, whether expressed or implied, is given or made with respect to any accessory supplied with
products described above. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, all implied warranties made
by ADJ Products, LLC in connection with this product, including warranties of merchantability or tness,
are limited in duration to the warranty period set forth above. And all warranties, whether expressed or

forth above. The consumer’s and/or dealer’s sole remedy shall be such repair or replacement as is ex-
pressly provided above; and under no circumstances shall ADJ Product, LLC be liable for any loss and/or

G. This warranty is the only written warranty applicable to ADJ Products, LLC products, and supersedes all
prior warranties and written descriptions of warranty terms and conditions heretofore published.
MANUFACTURER’S LIMITED WARRANTY PERIODS:
• Non-LED Lighting Products = 1-Year (365 Days) (Including Special Eect Lighting, Intelligent Lighting,
UV lighting, Strobes, Fog Machines, Bubble Machines, Mirror Balls, Par Cans, Trussing, Lighting Stands,
Power/Data Distribution, etc. excluding LED and lamps)
• Laser Products = 1-Year (365 Days) (excluding laser diodes which have a 6-Month Limited Warranty)
• LED Products = 2-Year (730 Days) (excluding batteries which have a 180 Day Limited Warranty)
• NOTE: 2-Year (730 Days) Limited Warranty ONLY applies to product purchased within the United States.

SAFETY GUIDELINES
For Your Own Personal Safety, Please Read and Understand This Manual Completely Before
You Attempt To Install Or Operate This Unit!
• Be sure to save the packing carton in the unlikely event the device may have to be returned for
service.
• Do not spill water or other liquids into or on to the charging device or ight case.
• Be sure that the local power outlet matches the required voltage for the device.
• Do not open up the device for any reason. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
• Disconnect the device’s main power when left unused for long periods of time.
• Never connect this device to a dimmer pack.
• Do not attempt to operate this device if it has been damaged in any way.
• Never operate this device with the cover removed.
• To reduce the risk of electrical shock or re, do not expose the charging device or the ight case
to rain or moisture.
• Do not attempt to operate this device if the power cord has been frayed or broken.
• Do not attempt to remove or break o the ground prong from the electrical cord. This prong is used
to reduce the risk of electrical shock and re in case of an internal short.
• Disconnect from main power before making any type of connection.
• Never block the ventilation holes. Always be sure to mount this device in an area that will allow
proper ventilation. Allow about 6” (15cm) between this device and a wall.
• This ight case and charging devices are intended for indoor use only. Use of these devices out-
doors voids all warranties.
• Always mount this unit in a safe and stable matter.
• Please route your power cord out of the way of foot trac. Power cords should be routed so they
are not likely to be walked on, or pinched by items placed upon or against them

LIGHTING FIXTURE

DMX SET UP
DMX-512: DMX is short for Digital Multiplex. This is a universal protocol used as a form of commu-
nication between intelligent fixtures and controllers. A DMX controller sends DMX data instructions
from the controller to the fixture. DMX data is sent as serial data that travels from fixture to fixture
via the DATA “IN” and DATA “OUT” XLR terminals located on all DMX fixtures (most controllers only
have a DATA “OUT” terminal).
DMX Linking: DMX is a language allowing all makes and models of different manufacturers to be
linked together and operate from a single controller, as long as all fixtures and the controller are
DMX compliant. The Mirage Q IP devices feature wireless DMX connectivity, and no DMX cables
are required. The order in which fixtures are connected in a DMX line does not influence the DMX
addressing. For example, a fixture assigned a DMX address of 1 may be placed anywhere in a DMX
line: at the beginning, at the end, or anywhere in the middle. When a fixture is assigned a DMX
address of 1, the DMX controller knows to send DATA assigned to address 1 to that unit, no matter
where it is located in the DMX chain.

DMX ADDRESSING
All fixtures should be given a DMX starting address when operating with a DMX controller, in order to
ensure that the correct fixture responds to the correct control signal. This digital starting address is
the channel number from which the fixture starts to “listen” to the digital control signal sent out from
the DMX controller. This starting DMX address is assigned by setting the correct DMX address on
the digital control display on the fixture.
You can set the same starting address for all fixtures or a group of fixtures, or set different addresses
for each individual fixture. Setting all fixtures to the same DMX address will cause all fixtures to react
in the same way. In this case, please note that changing the settings of one channel will affect all the
fixtures simultaneously.
If you set each fixture to a different DMX address, each unit will start to “listen” to the channel num-
ber you have set, based on the quantity of DMX channels of each fixture. That means changing the
settings of one channel will only affect the selected fixture.
As an example, when operating this fixture model in 4 channel mode, you should set the starting
DMX address of the first unit to 1, the second unit to 5 (4 + 1), the third unit to 9 (4 + 4 + 1), and so
on. (See the chart below for more details.)

INSTALLATION
IP RATING
The Mirage Q IP is IP65 rated. It is completely dust tight, and is protected against low-pressure
directed jets of water from any direction. The charging devices and ight case are not IP-rated,
and are intended for use in dry, indoor conditions only.
FLAMMABLE MATERIAL WARNING!
Keep device a minimum of 5.0 feet (1.5m) away from ammable material and/or pyrotechnics.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
A qualied electrician should be used for all electrical connections and/or installations.
DO NOT INSTALL THE DEVICE IF YOU ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO DO SO!
The unit MUST be installed following all local, national, and country commercial electrical and con-
struction codes and regulations.
Before installing or mounting any device, a professional equipment installer MUST be consulted to
determine whether the mounting structure or surface is properly certied to safely support the com-
bined weight of the xture, clamps, cables, and accessories.
Overhead xture installations must always be secured with a secondary safety attachment, such as
an appropriately rated safety cable that meets all local, national, and country codes and regulations.
Operating temperature range is 32 to 113 degrees F (0 to 45 degrees C). Do not operate the device
if ambient temperatures fall outside of this range.
This xture should be installed in areas outside walking paths, seating areas, and areas where unau-
thorized personnel might be able to reach the device by hand.
NEVER stand directly below the xture when rigging, removing, or servicing.
Allow approximately 15 minutes for the xture to cool down before servicing.

INSTALLATION
CLAMP INSTALLATION
The Mirage Q IP features a mounting clamp attachment point, as well as a safety cable loop, located
near the feet on the bottom of the device (see the illustration below). When mounting the fixture to a
truss or any other suspended or overhead installation, be sure to secure appropriately rated clamps
(not included) to the clamp attachment point and attach a separate SAFETY CABLE of the appropri-
ate safety rating to the safety cable loop.

RIGGING
Overhead rigging requires extensive experience, including but not limited to: calculating working
load limits, understanding the installation material being used, and periodic safety inspection of all
installation material and the fixture itself. If you lack these qualifications, do not attempt to perform
the installation yourself. Improper installation can result in bodily injury.

INSTALLATION
KICKSTAND FOR FLOOR PLACEMENT
The Mirage Q IP can also be placed on the floor to provide an uplighting display, and features a
retractable kickstand that allows the device to be angled in the direction of the desired display.
To deploy the kickstand, simply toggle the switch on the underside of the device, near the power
charging port (1). The kickstand can then be deployed from the underside (2) at various notched
increments, allowing a maximum angle of 35 degrees from the vertical axis (3).

IN-CASE CHARGING
1. Lock the wheel casters by pressing down on
the levers located near each caster.
2. Connect power cables to both the power in
and power out ports, if desired. Please refer
to the Daisy Chain Power Linkage section
of this manual for details.
3. Place an ADJ Mirage Q IP device in any of the device slots in the flight case. Up to 6 devices can
be accommodated. The charge indicator located beside the power ports will illuminate to indicate
that your device is charging. It is strongly recommended to leave the case lid open during
charging.

CONTROL PANEL
This fixture includes an easy to navigate control panel display, from which all necessary settings and
adjustments can be made. Press the MODE button to scroll through the main menu options, then
press SET UP to select the currently displayed option. Then use the UP and DOWN buttons to scroll
through the sub-menu options until reaching the desired setting. Press the MODE button at any time
to return to the main menu without making any adjustments.
