Notational
Conventions
computer type. All characters appearing in computer type are key
words and must be entered exactly as shown.
CAPITAL LETTERS. Capital letters indicate the short form of a command.
The actual command is not case sensitive and can be entered in upper or
lower case.
<>. Angular brackets enclose words or characters that symbolize a program
code parameter or an GPIB command.

replaced by <B> in any statement containing <A>.

FUNCtion <number> | FFT | RESPonse<number> |
HISTogram | PMEMory1}
Turns off an active c annel, function, waveform memory, pixel memory, FFT,
istogram, or TDR response. T e VIEW command turns t em on.
<number> For c annels: an integer, 1 t roug 4, indicating t e slot in w ic t e c annel
resides, followed by an optional A or B identifying w ic of two possible
c annels in t e slot is being referenced. For functions: 1 or 2. For waveform
memories (WMEMory): 1, 2, 3, or 4. For pixel memories (PMEMory): 1. For
TDR response: 1, 2, 3, or 4.
Command :COMMents {PLUGin<number>, <comments>}
Sets t e comments field for t e plugin. T is field is used to describe options
included in t e plugin, or for user commands about t e plugin.
<number> Represents t e plugin slot numbered 1 t roug 4.
<comments> Represents t e unquoted string.

Command :DIGitize [<waveform_name>][,<waveform_name>]
Invokes a special mode of data acquisition t at is more efficient t an using
t e RUN command. T is command initializes t e selected c annels,
functions, responses, or FFT to “unacquired,” t en acquires t em according
to t e current instrument settings. W en all signals are completely acquired,
t e instrument is stopped.

FFT | RESPonse<number>},{WMEMory<number>}
Copies a c annel, function, stored waveform, istogram, TDR response, or
FFT to a waveform memory. T e first parameters specifies t e source of t e
copy and can be any c annel, function, waveform memory, istogram, TDR
response, or t e FFT. T e second parameter is t e destination of t e copy,
and can be any waveform memory.
<number> For c annels: an integer, 1 t roug 4, indicating t e slot in w ic t e c annel
resides, followed by an optional A or B identifying w ic of two possible
c annels in t e slot is being referenced. For functions: 1 or 2. For waveform
memories (WMEMory): 1, 2, 3, or 4. For responses: 1, 2, 3, or 4.

Command :ACQuire:BEST[?] {THRuput | FLATness}
W en averaging is enabled wit ACQuire:AVERage, t e FLATness option
improves t e step flatness by using a signal processing algorit m wit in t e
instrument. You s ould use t is option w en performing TDR measurements
or w en step flatness is important. T e THRuput option improves t e
instrument’s t roug put and s ould be used w enever best flatness is not
required.

Enables or disables t e samplers in t e plug-in.
