DESCRIPTION:
The AVD-S is a completely digital vehicle alert
system. The set includes a detector, speaker
with mounting frame, and power supply.
When activated, the AVD-S provides a two
strokechimethroughtheincludedspeaker. The
system volume is fully adjustable and the
detector can be activated by most inductive
loop detectors available on the market.

ARCHITECTS/ENGINEERS’ SPECIFICATIONS:
The vehicle alert system shall consist of a Vehicle
Detection Adaptor (AVD-1A), Chime Speaker (SP-4MD)
and Power Supply (PS-12C).
The Vehicle Detection Adaptor shall combine both the
detector and tone generator within one unit. It shall feature
a full 3 Watts of output power with volume control and
less than 1% distortion at 1K Hz, 1 Watt. It shall have a
completely digital design, accept loops with an inductance
ranging between 20 and 2500 mH, and have a selectible
presence mode.

The Chime Speaker shall be 4” in diameter, ceiling mount
with an 8 ohm impedance. It shall connect to the Vehicle
DetectionAdaptorwith2conductor 22AWGwireat a distance
no greater than 650 feet. (1600 feet if 18AWG wire is used.)
The power supply shall accept 110V AC and supply the
VehicleDetection Adaptorwith 12VDC, 1A.The power supply
shall be both filtered and regulated.
