To maintain good performance
Do not use the unit in places which are axtremely hot, cold, dusty or humid.
In particular, do not keep the unit:
●in ahigh humidi~ area such as bathroom
●near aheater
●in an area exposed to direct sunlight (inside aparked car, where there
could be a considerable rise in temperature)
Note on Ilstenlng with the headphones
●Lieten at moderate volumes to avoid hearing damage.
●Do not wear the headphones while driving or cycling. It may create a
traffic hazard.
●You should use extreme caution or temporarily discontinue use in poten-
tially hazardous situation, such aa walking, jogging, etc.
●Wear them properly: Lis left, Ris right.

●Check and tighten slack tape before use with apencil or similar tool aa
illustrated. Slack tape may break or get jammed in the mechanism.
●C-100 or longer tapes are extremely thin and eaaily deformad or dam-
aged. They are not recommended for use in this unit.

Replace the batteries when the OPE/BATT indicator becomes dim, tape
speed slows down or becomes uneven.

herramienta similar, tal como aparece en la figura. Una cinta floja puede
romperee oataecarse en el mecanismo.
●Las cintas C-100 ode mayor Iongitud son muy finaa ypueden deformarse
odariarse facilmante. Nose recomienda su uso en este aparato.

Basic opsratlons
Press the following buttons.
To stop the taps ■STOP button

●Rewinding is faster than fast forwarding. To fast forward the tape faster,
turn the caasette over and press the >REW button.
●Rewinding does not stop at the end of the tape. Be sure to press the
9STOP button to release the *REW button,
To select the tape type@
NORM: For Type I(normal) tapes
Hf/MTL: For Type 11(high/Cr02) and Type IV (metal) tapes
To obtain powerful heavy baaa
Slide the SUPER BASS switch to ON.
RADIO RECEPTION ❑
Set the TAPIYAM/FM switch to TAPE to turn off the power after listening.
When listening to FM stereo broadcasting
Set the MONO/FM ST switch to the FM ST position, If the FM stereo signal
is weak, set the switch to the MONO position, The sound will be heard in
monaural but distortion will be reduced.
For better reception ❑
FM: The headphone cord functions as the FM antenna. Keep it extended,
AM: Turn the unit to find the position which gives the best reception.
MAINTENANCE ❑
To clean the head and the tape path
After every 10 hours of use, clean the head and the tape path with a head
cleaning cassette or cotton swab moistenad with cleaning fluid or dena-
tured alcohol. (These cleaning kits are commercially available.)
When cleaning with acotton swab@, wipe@, @and@.
To ctean the cabinet
Use asoft cloth lightly moistened with amild detergent solution.
Do not use strong solvents such as alcohol, benzine or thinner.

Deslice el interruptor SUPER BASS en ON.
RECEPCION DE LA RADIO ❑
Mueva el interruptor TAPE/AM/FM ala posici6n TAPE para desconectar la
corriante despu6s de escuchar.
Cuando se escuchan tranamlaionea de FM en eat6rao
Mueva el interruptor MONO/FM ST ala posici6n FM ST. Si la sefial FM
est6reo est~ d6bil, mueva el interruptor ala posici6n MONO, El sonido se
escucharA en monoaural pero con menos distorsi6n.

FM: El cable del casco auricular funciona como antena FM. Mant6ngala
alargada.
AM: Gire el aparato haeta encontrar la posici6n en la que se escuche mejor,

Para Nmpiar la cabeza yel trayecto de la clnta
Despu6s de cada 10 horaa de USO,Iimpie la cabeza yel trayecto de la cinta
con un cassette para Iimpieza de cabezas o un algod6n empapado en ffquido
de Iimpleza oalcohol desnaturalizado. (Podr6 adquirir estos juegoa en Ios
comercios del rsmo.)
Cuando haga la Iimpieza con un algod6n Q, Iimpie @, @y@.
Para Ifmplar el mueble
Utilice un r)afio suave Iigeramente humedecido en una soluci6n deteroente
nuetra.
No utilice disolventes fuertes tales como alcohol, bencina odiluyente.

la touche ■STOP pour Iibr$rer la touche -REW,

Glisser Ie commutateur SUPER BASS sur ON.
RECEPTION RADIO ❑
R6gler Ie commutateur TAPE/AM/FM 4TAPE pour mettre hors tension
apr6s f’6coute.
Ecoute d’6missions FM st6r60
R6gler Ie commutateur MONO/FM ST & FM ST. SI Ie signal FM st6r60 est
faible, mettre Ie commutateur sur MONO. Le son aera monaural, male la
distortion sera r6duite.

FM: Le cordon des 6couteure serf d’antenne FM. Le maintenir &endu.
AM: Tourner I’appareil pour trouver la position asaurant la meilleure
rbception,
ENTRETIEN ❑
Nettoyage de ta t6te et du parcoure de Is bande
Toutes Ies dix heuras d’utilization, nettoyer la t&e et Ie parcours de la bande
avec une cassette de netfoyage de tate ou une ouate de coton humect6e
de Iiquide de nettoyage ou d’alcool d6natur& (Ces kits de neftoyage sent
disponibles clans Ie commerce.)
Au nettoyage avec une ouate de coton @, netfoyer @, @et @.
Nettoysge du coffret
Utiliser un chiffon doux humect6 de solution d&ergente deuce. Ne pas utiliser
de solvant fort, tel qu’alcool, benzine ou Iiquide de nettoyage.
