Read the Operating instructions carefully and completely before operating
the unit. Be sure to keep the Operating Instructions for future reference

Water and moisture--- Do not use this unit near water, such as near
abathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, In awet basement,
swimmmg pool, or the hke.
Heat --- Do not use this unit near sources of heat, including heating
vents, stoves, or other apphances that generate heat.
Surface--- Place the unit on a flat, even surface.
Ventilation---The unit should be situated with adequate space around
It so that proper heat ventilation IS assured. Allow 10 cm clearance
from the rear and the top of the unit, and 5 cm from the each s]de.
Do not place It on a bed, rug, or similar surface that may block the
ventilation openings.
-Do not Install it in abookcase, cabinet, or airtight rack where
ventilation may be Impeded.
Objectsand liquid --- Take care that small objects or liquids do not
get reside the unit through the ventilation openings.
Cartssndstand--- Use the apphance only with acart or stand that is
recommended by the manufacturer.
When placed or mounted on a stand or cart, it should be moved with
care.
Quick stops, excessive force, and uneven surfaces may cause the und

Condensation--- Moisture may form on the CD pickup lens when:

Powersources--- Connect this unit only to power sources specified
in the Operating Instructions, and as marked on the umt.
Polarization--- As asafety feature, some units are equipped with
polarlzed AC power plugs which can only be inserted one way mto a
power outlet. If It ISdlfflcult or Impossible to Insert the AC power plug
mto an outlet, turn the plug over and try again. If it still does not easily
insert mto the outlet, please call aqualifled service techrmclanto service
or replace the outlet. To avoid defeating the safety feature of the
polarized plug, do not force It Into apower outlet.
AC powercord
-When disconnecting the power cord, pull Itout by the AC power plug.
Do not pull the cord itself.
-Never handle the AC power plug with wet hands, as this could result
mfn’e or shock.
Do not walk on the power cord or pinch It by Items placed upon or
against It, as these could result mfire or shock.
Avoid overloading power sockets and extension cords beyond thew
capacity, as this could result !n fire or shock.
Extension cord --- To help prevent electric shock, do not use a
polarized AC power plug with an extension cord, receptacle, or other
outlet unless the polarized plug can be completely Inserted to prevent
exposure of the blades of the plug.
Non-use~eriods--- Unolua the AC Dowercord from the Dawersocket
if the unit “will not be use’df;r several months or more. When the cord
is plugged in, asmall amount of current continues ta flow to the unit,
even when the power ISturned off.

enchufe de alimentacion de CA polarizado con un cable prolongador
ni tomacorriente amenos que el enchufe pueda Insertarse
cornpletamente afm de evltar que sus cuchlllas queden al descublerto.
5Periodossinutilization---Cuando no vaya autilizar la umdad durante

Insert eight size D(R20) batteries with the 0 and 0 marks
properly aligned.
Replace the batteries when the function indicators become dim,
tape speed slows down, volume decreases or sound is distorted
during operation.

●Make sure that the power is off before inserting batteries.
.Before using on batteries, disconnect the AC cord from the AC
inlet.
Note on the batteries
●Make sure that the o and @marks are correctly aligned.
●Do not mix different types of batteries or old batteries with new
ones.
●Never recharge the batteries, apply heat to them or take them
apart.
●When not using the batteries, remove them to prevent needless
battery wear.
If liquid leaks from the batteries, wipe thoroughly to remove,

apropiadamente alineadas.
Cuando, durante la operation, Ios indicadores de funcion se
ilurninen debilmente, la velocidad de la cinta se reduzca, el
volumen disminuya, oel sonlido se oiga distorsionado, reemplace
Ias pilas.

Presione uno de Ios botones de funcion (TAPE, TUNER, AUX,
CD).

Tambien podra utilizar el boton POWER de la unidad principal o
del ccmtrolador remoto.
Cuando conecte la alimentacion, se encenderan el indicador de
la funcion seleccionada.
Para desconectar la alimentacion
Presione el boton POWER.
Nota
Cuando este utilizando pila% no podra conectar la alimentacion
con el controlador remoto.

Align the speakers with the guide brackets on either side of the
center unit.Slide each speaker down into the guide brackets until
the height is level with the center unit.

Slide the speakers up off the guide brackets, while pressing the
speaker release knob.

Connect the rightspeaker to the Rterminal, and the left speaker
to the Lterminal.
Open out the lever of the speaker terminals and insert the
conductor of the speaker cords with the white broken line into 0
and the other cords into O. Then, shut the lever to lock.
CAUTION
Be sure the AC power cord is disconnected and all functions are
off before making connections.

Refrain from using speakers with less than 4ohms impedance,
or connecting two speakers to the same jack. Doing so could result
in damage to this system.

This unit can play sound signals input through the AUX/VIDEO
jacks. Use acable with RCA plugs (not supplied) to connect audio
equipment that has aLINE OUT jack.
Connect the red plug to the Rjack, and white plug to the Ljack.

virtual-reality sound (a stereophonic sound field) using two
speakers. With this system, stereo signals (for example, sound
effects in avideo game) are reproduced in an even more naturally
stereophonic manner. This is achieved by processing the
directional components of the sounds with the QSOUND
processor.

too much input. Turn down the VOLUME control to level down the

You can place two discs on the DISC 1 and DISC 2compartment
and play them consecutively.

The CD indicator lights up.
Press the OPEN button to open the disc
compartment.
Place the disc(s) with the label side up@ and close
the disc compartment @.
You can also load asmaller 3-inch (8 cm) disc.

Searching for the start of atrack +❑
To restart the track in play, press the Mbutton. Each press
of the button skips back one more track.
To skip to the next track, press the ~button. Each press of
the button skips forward one more track.

To search backward on the disc, hold down the Kbutton
until the start of the desired passage, then release.
To search forward on the disc, hold down the mbutton until
the start of the desired passage, then release.

This function plays tracks on the disc(s) in random order.
Press the RANDOM button while pressing the SHIFT button on
the remote control.

To cancel random play
Press the RANDOM button while pressing the SHIFT button to
eliminate RAMDOM out of the display.
To repeat random play
During random play, if repeat play is selected, all tracks on the
discs are played back in acontinually changing random order.
Press the REPEAT button while pressing the SHIFT button on
the remote control during random play.
●The start of previous tracks cannot be searched by pressing the
Mbutton.
“If the Mbutton is continuously pressed during playback, the
pickup will move back only until the beginning of the current
track, and not move to the previous track.
