ENGLISH SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. If the cord is damaged, have it repaired by
the manufacturer, a technical service centre
or a similarly qualified person in order to
avoid any hazard.
2. The power supply must be replaced by a
new one in case of malfunction, because
this power supply is not repairable.
3. The socket-outlet should be installed
near the equipment and should be easily
accessible.
4. The product is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capacity.
Persons who have not read the manual,
unless they have received explanations
by a person responsible for their safety
and supervision should not use this unit.
5. Children should be monitored to ensure
that they do not play with the product.
6. When connected the cord should always be
readily accessible.
7. The apparatus should not be exposed to
dripping or splashing of water or liquids
and no objects filled with liquids such
as flower vases shall be placed on the
product.
8. Do not impede the normal ventilation of
the product when intended to use.
9. Always leave a minimum distance of 10cm
around the unit to ensure sufficient ven-
tilation.
10. Open flame sources, such as candles,
should not be placed on top of the device.
11. The device is intended for use only in a
temperate climate.
12. CAUTION:
Danger of explosion if battery is
incorrectly replaced or not replaced by
the same type or equivalent.
13. The battery should not be exposed to
excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or
similar.
14. Dierent types of batteries, new and
used batteries should not be mixed.
15. The battery must be installed
according to the polarity.
16. If the battery is worn, it must be removed
from the product.
17. The battery must be disposed o safely.
Always use the collection bins provided
(check with your dealer) to protect the
environment.
LIGHTNING FLASH WITH ARROWHEAD
SYMBOL
The lightning flash with the arrowhead
symbol within an equilateral triangle,
is intended to alert the user of the
presence of uninsulated dangerous
voltage within the products’ enclosure
that may be of sufficient magnitude
to constitute a risk of electric shock to
persons.
EXCLAMATION POINT
The exclamation point within an equilateral
triangle, is used to indicate that a
specific component should be replaced
only by the component specified in the
literature for safety reasons.
CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT LABEL
You will find a label similar to the one in
the image indicating that the boombox has
a laser component.
The following label has been affixed to the unit, listing the proper procedure for working
with the laser beam:

operating instructions should be adhered.
4. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS:
All operating and use instructions should
be followed.
5. CLEANING:
- Turn O the unit if it’s On before cleaning.
- Unplug the unit from the wall outlet
before cleaning.
- Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners.
- Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
6. WATER AND MOISTURE:
Do not use this product near water.
For example:
Near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink,
or laundry tub; in a wet basement; or near
a swimming pool; and similar.
7. ACCESSORIES:
Do not place this product on an unstable
cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table.
The product may fall, causing serious
injury to a child or adult and serious
damage to the product.
Use only with a cart, stand, tripod,
bracket, or table recommended by the
manufacturer, or sold with the product.
Any mounting of the product should
follow the manufacturer’s instructions,
and should use a mounting accessory
recommended by the manufacturer. When
moving the product in a cart, it should be
done with care - quick stops, excessive
force and uneven surfaces may turn over
the cart with the product causing damage.
8. VENTILATION:
Slots and openings in the unit are
provided for ventilation and to ensure
reliable operation of the product and
to protect it from overheating, and
these openings must not be blocked or
covered. The openings should never be
blocked by placing the product on a bed,
sofa, rug or other similar surface. This
product should not be placed in a built-in
installation, such as a bookcase or rack,
unless proper ventilation is provided or
the manufacturer’s instructions have been
adhered.
9. POWER SOURCES:
This product should be operated only
with the type of power source indicated
on the marking label. If you are not sure
of the type of power supply of your
home, consult your product dealer or local
power company. For products intended
to operate with battery power, or other
sources, refer to the operating instructions.
10. POWER-CORD PROTECTION:
Power-supply cords should be rooted so
that they are not likely to be walked on or
pinched by items placed upon or against
them, paying special attention to the
cords at the power plug socket and the
jack plug socket.
During movement, please take care of the
power cord.
For example:
Tie the power cord with a cable tie.
11. NON-USE PERIODS:
The power cord of the product should
be unplugged from the outlet when left
unused for long periods of time.
If the speaker has to be left unused for a
long time, please leave the battery fully
charged, otherwise it will cause damage to
the battery.
12. LIGHTNING:
For added protection of this product
during a lightning storm, or when it is left
unattended and unused for long periods
of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and
disconnect the antenna or cable system.
This will prevent damage to the product
due to lightening and power-line surges.
13. POWER LINES:
An outside antenna system should not
be located in the vicinity of overhead
power lines or other electric light or power
circuit. When installing an outside antenna
system, extreme care should be taken to
keep it from touching such power lines
or circuits as contact with them might be
fatal.
14. OVERLOADING:
Do not overload wall outlets and extension
cords as this can result in a risk of fire or
electric shock.
15. OBJECT AND LIQUID ENTRY:
Never push objects of any kind into this
product through the openings as they
may touch dangerous voltage points or
shoot-out parts that could result in a
fire or electric shock.
Never spill liquid of any kind on the
product.
16. SERVICING:
Do not attempt to repair this product
yourself as opening or removing covers
may expose you to dangerous voltage
or other hazards. Refer all to qualified
service personnel.
17. DAMAGES REQUIRING SERVICE:
Unplug this product from the wall outlet
and refer to qualified service personnel
under the following conditions.
a) When the power-supply cord,
battery or plug are damaged.
b) If the product has been exposed to
rain or water.
c) If liquid has been spilled, or objects
have fallen into the product.
d) If the product does not operate
normally by following the
operating instructions, adjust only
those controls that are covered
by the operating instructions, as
adjustments of other controls may
result in damage and will often
require extensive work by a
qualified technician to restore the
product to its normal operation.
e) When the product exhibits a
distinct change in performance
it indicates a need for service.
18. REPLACE PARTS:
When parts require to be replaced, be sure
the service technician has used ocial
parts specified by the manufacturer or
they have the same characteristics as the
original parts, unauthorized substitutions
may result in fire, electric shock and other
hazards.
19. HEAT:
The product should be situated away
from heat sources such as radiators, heat
registers, stoves or other products that
produce heat.

Carefully take out all the components from the carton and remove all packaging materials from the
components. Make sure that nothing is accidentally discarded with the packing materials.
If possible, save the carton and packaging materials for the unlikely event that the product ever
needs to be sent for service. Using the original carton and packing materials is the only proper way
to protect the unit from shipping damage.

IR REMOTE SENSOR:
• Even if the remote control is operated within the eective range, it’s operation may be impossible
if there are any obstacles between the appliance and the remote control.

Battery must be inserted correctly to avoid damaging to the remote control. Always remove the
battery when the remote control will not be used for a long period of time, as this may cause
leakage of the battery and subsequently damage the remote.
Note:
• When the display shows the hour it means
that the tower speaker is on standby mode.
POWER ON & STAND BY MODE
1. Once the tower speaker has been connected
to a wall outlet, turn on the main power
ON/OFF button located at the back of the
unit, then the LED display will flash showing
the hour 00:00.
2. Press the /SOURCE button on the top panel
of the unit, or on the remote control to
initiate the function modes.
3. To put the tower speaker in stand by mode,
just press the /SOURCE button on the top
panel of the unit, or on the remote control
and the display will show the time again.
MUTE
(On remote control only)
You can also press the MUTE button on the
remote control to turn o the sound.
Press the MUTE button again to cancel the
mute function and restore the sound.
The mute function will also be cancelled
automatically by pressing the VOL + or
VOL - buttons or by turning the volume
ENCODER of the top panel of the speaker.
BATTERY INSTALLATION BASIC OPERATION
BATTERY INSTALLATION
Unscrew the battery cover and remove the battery holder. Insert a CR-2025 TYPE battery
(included) with polarities as shown, then push the battery holder back into the remote and
screw the cover back on.
POWER OFF
1. To turn the tower speaker o completely it
has to be done from a standby position,
then press the main power ON/OFF switch
located at the back of the unit, and the LED
display will switch o.
2. Finally, you can unplug the device from the
wall outlet safely.
DIMMER ADJUSTMENT
(On remote control only)
Press repeatedly the DIM+ or DIM- buttons on
the remote control to adjust the brightness of
the display and ambient lamp.
SOURCE
Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to
switch among BT (Bluetooth)/ rAD (Radio)
/ LINE (Line in) / Cd (CD) / USb (USB) /
CArD (SD card) modes.
VOLUME LEVEL
Turn the volume KNOB on the top panel
or press the VOL + or VOL - buttons on the
remote control to adjust the volume level.
EQ (EQUALIZER)
(On remote control only)
Press the EQ button on the remote control
during any play mode to scroll through the
following equalizer settings: Rock-Pop-Jazz-
Classic-Flat.
REPEAT
Press repeatedly the ALARM/REPEAT
button on the top panel of the unit, or REP
on the remote control to scroll through the
following repeating settings: One-All-OFF.
SLEEP
(On remote control only)
Press repeatedly the SLEEP button on the
remote control to scroll through the following
sleep mode settings: 90-80-70-60-50-40-
30-20-10-OFF.
Notes:
• If the distance required between the remote control and the appliance decreases, the batteries
are exhausted. In this case replace the batteries with new ones.
• The main power button on the back of the main unit must be ’ON‘ for the remote control to
operate.
STAND INSTALLATION
DETACHABLE STAND INSTALLATION
1. Attach the base to the body aligning the four holes in the base and pillars with the four holes in the tower.
2. Screw the base into the body.
3. Attach the four pads to the base to protect the ground (1pc for spare parts).
4. Lift the tower upright on the floor. The Tower Speaker is now ready for use.
Notes:
• Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet to protect your set during heavy thunderstorms.
• The power cord is used to disconnect the device, the power cord should remain easily accessible.
Note:
• The tower speaker cannot access the contents in the connected external device.
CONNECTIONS
MAINS CONNECTION
1. Check if the power voltage shown on the rating label located on the back of the set, corresponds
to your local AC power supply.
2. Connect the power cord to the wall outlet.
USB CHARGING PORT
Connect an external device (e.g. smartphone, mp3 player) via a USB cable (not provided) to the USB
CHARGING port.

TIME SETTINGS FM RADIO
SETTING THE CURRENT TIME
1. While the speaker is in standby mode, press
the TIME/PROG. button. The hour digits
on the display will blink.
2. Press the or buttons to select the
“24H” or “12H” format and press to
confirm the selection.
3. Press the or buttons to set the hour
and press to confirm. The minutes
digits on the display will blink.
4. Press or to set the minutes, press
to confirm.
SETTING THE ALARM
This unit may be used as an alarm clock. The
CD/USB/card or FM radio are activated to
play at a preset time.
1. Press to switch the unit to standby mode.
2. Make sure that you have set the clock
correctly.
3. Press the ALARM button in shutdown state.
4. Press or repeatedly to set the hour.
Press to confirm.
5. Press or to set the minutes. Press
to confirm.
6. Press or to select the alarm volume
from 0 to 30. Press to confirm.
7. Press or to scroll through OFF-CD-
USB-CARD-RADIO status. Press to
save the alarm.
8. The display will show the current time.
SNOOZE PERIOD
1. Whenever the alarm rings, it can be
temporarily suspended for a short period
of approximately 9 minutes, by pressing
once the ZZZ key on the remote control,
or the button on the top panel.
2. The alarm will then automatically begin to
ring again after approximately 9 minutes.
3. To deactivate the snooze, press and
release the button once.
You can store up to 30 of your favourite stations
in the tuner memory for easy recall at any time.
AUTO SCAN
1. Press the SOURCE key to select “RAD”
radio mode.
2. Long press the button, and your
speaker will scan and stop automatically
when it finds a station with sufficient
signal strength.
3. After a few seconds, the display will update.
The display will show the station frequency.
4. Press MEM+ or MEM- on the remote control,
or briefly press / on the top panel to
view and listen to the preset radio stations.
5. To find other stations, press and hold for
2 seconds the button.
6. To scan the FM band in the oposite direction
(high frequencies to low frequencies),
press the button and hold for 2 seconds.
MANUAL SCAN
1. Press the SOURCE key to select “RAD”
radio mode.
2. Press or to tune to a station. Each
press on the tuning button will change
the frequency up or down by 100 kHz.
3. Once you find a station you want to save,
press and hold the MEM button on the
remote control or TIME/PROG on the top
panel. “S 01”will be shown on the display;
press MEM+ or MEM- until the desired
memory position number appears on the
display. Press the MEM or TIME/PROG again
to confirm and save the current station.
4. Briefly press MEM on the remote control;
or press TIME/PROG on the top panel,
“S 01”will be shown on the display; then
press MEM+ or MEM-, in order to view or
listen to the stored radio stations.
CREATING A CD PLAYLIST
The Program feature may be used to program
up to 33 tracks for CD and 99 tracks for
CD-MP3 to play in a selected order.
1. While in stop mode only (CD is not playing),
press and hold TIME/PROG on the top
panel of the unit, or the PRG button on the
remote control for 2 seconds, and the LED
display will show the wording “P 01”and
“T 01”starts to flash.
You can play in your tower speaker your
audio CD/ CD-R/ CD-RW/ MP3.
1. Press the button to turn on the unit.
2. Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to
select the CD function.
3. Press the button to open the disc tray.
4. Insert a CD with the printing side facing
up and close gently the disc tray by
pressing again. The disc will start the
playback automatically.
5. To temporarily stop playback, press the
button, and to resume playback, press
it again.
6. Press the button to stop playback.
SEARCHING FOR A SECTION WITHIN A TRACK
During playback, press and hold or
buttons to find a specific passage within
the track and release it at the point you
want to listen to.
SELECT ANOTHER TRACK OR FILE
Press or buttons to skip to a dierent
track number.
Press once to hear the beginning of
the current track, and press it two or more
times to hear the previous track.
LISTENING TO YOUR TRACKS REPEATEDLY
Press the ALARM/REPEAT on the top panel
of the unit, or REP on the remote control
repeatedly to activate the repeat function
in following manner:
1. ONE (repeat the current track)
2. ALL (repeat all the available tracks)
3. OFF (cancel the repeat function)
ABOUT MP3 DISC COMPATIBILITY
With this unit is limited as follows:
Sampling Frequency: 32-48 (MP3)
Bit rate: 32-320kbps (MP3)
Do not use special letters such as:
/ :*?< > etc
Even if the total number of files on
the disc is more than 1000, it will only
show up to 999.
BASIC OPERATION CD / MP3
2. Press the and buttons to allocate the
desired track.
3. Press TIME/PROG or PRG to select and
store the track into the memory.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to select up to 33/99
tracks.
5. To play the selected tracks (in the program
mode), press the button.
6. Press the button to hear the previous
programmed track or press the button
to hear the next programmed track.
7. To clear the programmed tracks from the
memory press the button twice.
Note:
• Because MP3 discs have a large capacity,
disc access times are a little longer.

BLUETOOTH MODE USB/SD CARD MODE
BLUETOOTH PAIRING
To use the Bluetooth function, your speaker should first be paired with your Bluetooth device.
(“Pairing” means establish connection between Bluetooth devices such as mobile phone, tablets,
pc, etc).

1. Press the SOURCE button to switch to
“BT” Bluetooth mode.

2. In Bluetooth mode, a voice prompt will
announce Bluetooth pairing mode and the
word “BT” will flash on the display.
The speaker will search automatically for
Bluetooth devices.
3. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your
device and make it visible (see your
devices instructions to add or setup a
Bluetooth device).
4. Search for Bluetooth devices and select
AIWA TS-990CD
Enter the code “0000” if needed.

If the devices are paired successfully, the
word “BT” on the display will keep bright.
Having successfully paired, the device will
be automatically connected next time.
5. Press and hold for 2 seconds to
disconnect the Bluetooth.

PLAY FROM A BLUETOOTH DEVICE
1. Press the button to play.
2. To pause or resume play, press the
button again.
3. Press the or buttons to skip to a
different track number.
PLAYING MUSIC VIA USB OR SD CARD
This speaker has been developed using the
latest technical advances in the USB or SD
field. However, given the wide range of USB/
SD storage device types that are currently in
the market, we unfortunately cannot guarantee
full compatibility with all of them. For this
reason, in rare cases, there may be problems
in playing files from USB/SD storage devices.
This is not due to the devices malfunction.
1. Press the button to turn on the unit.
2. Press the SOURCE button repeteadly until
the “USB”or “CARD” function appears on
the display.
3. Connect a USB/SD storage device directly
to the USB or SD CARD ports. The display
briefly shows the number of folders and
then the total number of tracks. Playback
will automatically start after a few seconds.
4. To temporarily stop playback, press the
button, and to resume playback, press
it again.
5. Press the or buttons to jump to a
different track number.
6. Press the or buttons on the remote to
scroll between the playable music folders
of the device.
7. Press the button to stop play.
SEARCHING FOR A SECTION WITHIN AN
AUDIO FILE
During playback, press and hold the
or buttons to find a specific passage
within the track and release it at the
point you want to listen to.
AUXILIARY INPUT FUNCTION MODE
This unit can be used as an active speaker for
laptop computers, MP3 and other small audio
players following the steps below.
1. Press the button to turn on the unit.
2. Press the SOURCE button repeatedly until
the “LINE” function appears on the display.
3. Connect an auxiliary cable ended in 3.5mm
jack to the AUX IN socket.
4. Start playback on the external audio device.
Adjust the volume on the audio device (do
not set the volume to a high level in order
to avoid distortion). You may also adjust
the volume on the apparatus. To control
playback function, use the controls on the
external audio device.
Notes:
• Because some storage devices have a
large capacity, USB or SD access times
are a little longer.
• Switch the device to a dierent operating
mode before you remove the USB or SD
storage device.
• To avoid malfunctions never connect a
USB storage medium to the USB charging
port.
LINE-IN MODE
Note:
• The auxiliary input mode only allows the
user to control the volume from the unit.
Notes:
• Compatibility with all Bluetooth devices
is not guaranteed.
• Bluetooth playback can be controlled
from the external device, the top panel of
the tower, or the remote control.

CARE OF THE SPEAKER
1. To prevent fire or shock hazard, disconnect
your unit from the AC power source
when cleaning.
2. The speaker may be cleaned on the
outside with a dust cloth and cared for
as any other furniture. Use caution when
cleaning and wiping the plastic parts.
3. A mild soap and a damp cloth may be
used on the top panel.
4. If the unit is not going to be used for an
extended period of time, it is advisable
to cover it with the dust cover (included)
to prevent intrusions.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
COMPACT DISCS CARE
1. Treat the disc carefully. Handle the disc
only by the edges.
Never allow your fingers to touch the
shiny, unpainted side of the disc.
2. Do not attach adhesive tape, stickers, etc.
to the disc label.
3. Clean the discs periodically with a soft,
lint-free, dry cloth.
Never use detergents or abrasive cleaners
to clean the disc.
If necessary, use a CD cleaning kit.
If a disc skips or gets stuck on a section of
the disc, it is probably dirty or damaged
(scratched).
When cleaning the disc, wipe in straight
lines from the centre of the disc to the
outer edge of the disc. Never wipe in
circular motions.
4. This unit is designed
to play discs bearing
the identification logo
as shown here or
MP3 format Disc.
Other discs may not conform to the CD
standard and may not play properly.
5. Discs should be stored in their cases
after each use to avoid damage.
6. Do not expose discs to direct sunlight,
high humidity, high temperatures, or
dust, etc.
Prolonged exposure or extreme temperatures
can warp the disc.
7. Do not stick or write anything on either
side of the disc.
Sharp writing instruments or the ink may
damage the surface.
If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before taking the speaker to repair.
Do not open the tower speaker as there is a risk of electric shock.
SYMPTOM CAUSE CORRECTION
General
No power. The power cord is not plugged. Plug in the power cord.
Check whether electricity failed.
Mains power button is not “on”.
Check the condition by operation
of other electronic devices.
Press the mains power button.
No sound. Check whether you’ve
selected the right function.

CD
The unit does not start
playback.
An unplayable disc is inserted. Insert a playable disc.

Radio stations cannot be
tuned in.

Nota:
• Cuando la pantalla muestra la hora
significa que la torre de sonido está en

ENCENDER Y PONER EN ESPERA
1. Una vez que haya enchufado la torre a la
toma de corriente, encienda el INTERRUPTOR
DE ENCENDIDO ubicado en la parte
posterior de la unidad, luego la pantalla
LED parpadeará mostrando la hora 00:00.
2. Pulse el botón /SOURCE del panel superior
de la unidad o en el mando a distancia
para iniciar los modos de funcionamiento.
3. Para poner en modo de espera la torre de
sonido, sólo tiene que pulsar el botón
/SOURCE en el panel superior de la
unidad, o en el mando a distancia y la
pantalla mostrará la hora de nuevo.
SILENCIAR (MUTE)
(Sólo con el mando a distancia)
Puede pulsar el botón MUTE del mando a
distancia para apagar el sonido.
Vuelva a pulsar el botón MUTE para cancelar
la función de silencio y restaurar el sonido.
La función de silencio también se cancelará
automáticamente al pulsar los botones
VOL+ o VOL- o al girar el dial VOLUME del
panel superior del altavoz.
INSTALACIÓN DE LA PILA
Desatornille la cubierta de la batería y retire el porta-pilas e inserte una pila TIPO CR-2025
(incluida) con las polaridades como se muestra, luego introduzca el porta-pilas de nuevo en
el mando y vuelva a atornillar la cubierta.
APAGAR
1. Para apagar completamente la torre de
sonido se debe hacer desde una posición
de espera, luego presione el interruptor
principal de ENCENDIDO Y APAGADO
localizado en la parte posterior de la
unidad, y la pantalla LED se iluminará.
2. Finalmente, puede desenchufar el
dispositivo de la toma de corriente de la
pared de forma segura.

Notas:
• Si la distancia requerida entre el mando a distancia y el aparato disminuye, las pilas se han
agotado. En este caso, cambie las pilas por otras nuevas.
• El botón principal de encendido en la parte posterior de la unidad principal debe estar en
“ON” para que el mando a distancia funcione.

1. Fijar la base al cuerpo alineando los cuatro agujeros de la base y los pilares con los cuatro
agujeros de la torre.
2. Atornille la base al cuerpo.
3. Fije las cuatro almohadillas a la base para proteger el suelo (1 pieza de repuesto incluida).
4. Coloque la torre en el suelo. La torre de sonido está ahora lista para su uso.
Nota:
• La torre de sonido no puede acceder al contenido del dispositivo externo conectado.
PUERTO DE CARGA USB
Conecte un dispositivo externo (por ejemplo un smartphone, reproductor de mp3) a través de un
cable USB (no suministrado) al PUERTO DE CARGA USB.
La pila debe insertarse correctamente para evitar dañar el mando a distancia.
Retire la pila del compartimento cuando no se vaya a utilizar durante un período prolongado.
Esto evitará posibles fugas o rupturas de la pila que podrían dañar el mando.
CONEXIÓN PRINCIPAL
1. Compruebe si la tensión de alimentación que se muestra en la etiqueta de calificación situada
en la parte posterior del equipo corresponde a su fuente de alimentación de CA local.
2. Conecte el cable de alimentación a la toma de corriente.
Notas:
• Desenchufe el cable de alimentación de la toma de corriente para proteger su equipo
durante tormentas eléctricas fuertes.
• El cable de alimentación se utiliza como dispositivo de desconexión. El cable de alimentación
debe permanecer fácilmente accesible.

CD sea superior a 1000, solamente se

AJUSTES DE HORA RADIO FM
CONFIGURAR LA HORA ACTUAL
1. Mientras el altavoz esté en modo de espera,
pulse el botón TIME/PROG. Pulse las teclas
o para seleccionar el formato de la
hora entre “24H” o “12H” y pulse para
confirmar.
2. Pulse los botones o para ajustar la
hora y pulse para confirmar. Los
dígitos de los minutos en la pantalla
parpadearán.

PROGRAMAR LA ALARMA
Esta torre puede ser usada como despertador.
El CD/USB/tarjeta SD o radio FM se activará
para sonar a una hora preestablecida.
1. Pulse para poner la torre en modo
espera.
2. Asegúrese de que ha ajustado el reloj
correctamente.
3. Pulse el botón ALARM durante el modo
espera.
4. Pulse o repetidamente para ajustar
la hora. Pulse para confirmar.

DORMITAR (SNOOZE)
1. Cuando suena la alarma, se puede
suspender temporalmente por un período
de tiempo corto, de aproximadamente
9 minutos, presionando una vez la tecla
ZZZ en el mando a distancia, o el botón
en el panel superior.
2. La alarma volverá a sonar de manera
automática después de aproximadamente
9 minutos.
3. Para desactivar el periodo de suspensión,
pulse brevemente el botón .
Puede almacenar hasta 30 de sus emisoras
de radio favoritas en la memoria del
sintonizador para poder escucharlas
fácilmente en cualquier momento.
ESCANEAR AUTOMÁTICAMENTE
1. Pulse la tecla SOURCE para seleccionar
el modo radio “RAD”.
2. Mantenga presionado el botón para
iniciar el escaneo de emisoras; automáticamente
se detendrá cuando encuentre una emisora

3. Tras unos segundos, la pantalla se actualizará
mostrando la frecuencia de la emisora.
4. Pulse MEM+ o MEM- en el mando a distancia
o pulse brevemente o en el panel
superior para ver y escuchar las emisoras
de radio almacenadas.
5. Para encontrar otras emisoras, mantenga
pulsado el botón por 2 segundos.
6. Para escanear la banda FM en la dirección
opuesta (de las frecuencias altas a las
bajas), pulse el botón y manténgalo
pulsado durante 2 segundos.
ESCANEAR MANUALMENTE
1. Pulse la tecla SOURCE para seleccionar
el modo radio “RAD”.
2. Pulse o para sintonizar una emisora.
Cada pulsación de los botones cambiará
la frecuencia hacia arriba o hacia abajo en
100 kHz.
3. Una vez que haya localizado la emisora
que quiere guardar, pulse y mantenga
presionado el botón MEM del mando a
distancia, o TIME/PROG del panel
superior. “S 01”aparecerá en la pantalla;
pulse MEM+ o MEM- en el mando o o
en el panel superior hasta que aparezca el
número de posición de memoria deseado
en la pantalla. Pulse MEM o TIME/PROG
de nuevo para confirmar y guardar la
emisora actual.
4. Pulse brevemente MEM en el mando a
distancia; o pulse TIME/PROG en el panel
superior, aparecerá “S 01”en la pantalla;
a continuación pulse o en el panel
superior, o MEM+ o MEM- en el mando a
distancia, para ver o escuchar las emisoras
de radio almacenadas.
PROGRAMA: CREA TU LISTA DE REPRODUCCIÓN
La función programa permite elaborar listas
de reproducción de hasta 33 pistas para CD o
99 pistas para CD-MP3, que se reproducen en
el orden seleccionado.
1. Solamente cuando la reproducción esté
detenida (el CD no se está reproduciendo),
pulse y mantenga pulsado el botón TIME/
PROG en el panel superior, o el botón PRG en
el mando a distancia durante 2 segundos y la
pantalla LED mostrará la indicación “P 01”y
“T 01”parpadeando.
Puede reproducir en su torre de sonido
sus CD/ CD-R/ CD-RW/ MP3.
1. Pulse el botón para encender el altavoz.
2. Pulse el botón SOURCE repetidamente
para seleccionar la función de CD.
3. Pulse para abrir la bandeja del disco.
4. Inserte el CD con la cara impresa hacia
arriba y cierre la bandeja del disco pulsando
de nuevo. El disco iniciará la reproducción
automáticamente.
5. Para pausar la reproducción, pulse el botón
y, para reanudarla, vuelva a pulsarlo.
6. Pulse el botón para detener la
reproducción.
BUSCAR EN UNA PISTA
Durante la reproducción, mantenga pulsados
los botones o , para localizar una
sección específica en la pista y suéltelo
en el punto que desee escuchar.
SELECCIONAR OTRA PISTA O ARCHIVO
Pulse los botones o para seleccionar
una pista específica.
Pulse el botón una vez para escuchar
la pista actual desde el principio, y púlselo
dos o más veces para escuchar la pista
anterior.
ESCUCHAR REPETIDAMENTE LAS PISTAS
Pulse varias veces el botón ALARM/REPEAT
en el panel superior o REP. en el mando
a distancia para selecciona el modo de
repetición entre las siguientes opciones:
1. ONE (repite la pista actual)
2. ALL (repite todas las pistas disponibles)
3. OFF (cancelar la función de repetición)
2. Pulse los botones y para asignar la
pista deseada.
3. Pulse el botón TIME/PROG o PRG para
seleccionar y almacenar una pista en la
memoria.
4. Repita los pasos 2 y 3 para seleccionar
hasta 33/99 pistas.
5. Para reproducir las pistas seleccionadas (en
el modo programa), pulse el botón .
6. Pulse el botón para escuchar la pista
anterior o pulse el botón para escuchar
la siguiente pista programada.
7. Para borrar de la memoria las pistas
programadas, pulse el botón dos veces.
Nota:
• Debido a que los discos MP3 tienen una
gran capacidad, los tiempos de lectura
del disco pueden ser un poco más largos.

EMPAREJAMIENTO POR BLUETOOTH
Antes de utilizar la función Bluetooth deberá emparejar el altavoz con el dispositivo Bluetooth.
(“Emparejar” significa establecer una conexión entre dispositivos Bluetooth, como teléfonos móviles,
tabletas, PC, etc.).

1. Pulse el botón SOURCE para cambiar al
modo “BT”, Bluetooth.

2. En el modo Bluetooth, un aviso de voz
anunciará el modo de emparejamiento de
Bluetooth y la palabra “BT” en la pantalla
parpadeará.
El altavoz buscará automáticamente los
dispositivos Bluetooth cercanos.
3. Active la función de Bluetooth en su
dispositivo y hágalo visible (consulte las
instrucciones de sus dispositivos para agregar
o configurar un dispositivo Bluetooth).
4. Busque y seleccione el equipo Bluetooth:
AIWA TS-990CD
En caso necesario, introduzca el código
“0000”.

Si los dispositivos se emparejan con éxito,
la palabra “BT” en la pantalla se mantendrá
iluminada.
Una vez emparejados con éxito, el dispositivo
se conectará automáticamente la próxima vez.
5. Pulse durante aproximadamente 2 segundos
para desconectar el dispositivo Bluetooth
vinculado.

REPRODUCCIÓN VIA USB O TARJETA SD
Este altavoz ha sido desarrollado utilizando
los últimos avances tecnológicos en el ámbito
de los dispositivos USB y tarjetas SD. Sin
embargo, dada la amplia gama de tipos de
dispositivos y tarjetas de almacenamiento
USB/SD que hay actualmente en el mercado,
lamentablemente no podemos garantizar la
plena compatibilidad con todos ellos. Por
esta razón, en raras ocasiones, puede haber
problemas en la reproducción de los archivos
del USB/SD. Esto no se debe a un mal
funcionamiento del dispositivo.
1. Pulse el botón para encender la torre.
2. Pulse repetidamente el botón SOURCE
hasta que el modo de función “USB”
(USB) o “CARD” (tarjeta SD) aparezca
parpadeando en la pantalla.
3. Inserte un dispositivo de almacenamiento
USB/SD directamente a los puertos USB o
SD CARD. La pantalla muestra brevemente
el número de carpetas y luego el número
total de pistas. La reproducción se iniciará
automáticamente después de unos segundos.
4. Para detener la reproducción temporalmente,
pulse el botón , vuelva a pulsarlo para
reanudarla.
5. Presione los botones o para seleccionar
una pista específica.
6. Pulse los botones o del mando a
distancia para desplazarse entre las carpetas
de música reproducibles del dispositivo.
7. Pulse el botón para detener la reproducción.
BUSCAR EN UNA PISTA
Durante la reproducción, mantenga pulsado
el botón o , para localizar una sección
específica en la pista y suéltelo en el punto
que desee escuchar.
MODO DE ENTRADA AUXILIAR (LINE IN)
Esta torre puede ser utilizada como altavoz
activo para ordenadores portátiles, MP3 y
otros reproductores de audio pequeños
siguiendo los pasos que se indican a continuación.
1. Pulse el botón para encender el altavoz.
2. Presione el botón SOURCE repetidamente
hasta que el modo de función “LINE”
(entrada auxiliar) aparezca parpadeando
en la pantalla.
3. Conecte un cable auxiliar terminado en
3.5mm a la toma LINE IN.
4. Inicie la reproducción en el dispositivo
externo.
Puede ajustar el volumen en el dispositivo
de audio externo (no ajuste el volumen
a un nivel alto para evitar distorsiones).
También puede ajustar el volumen en el
radiocasete. Para controlar la función de
reproducción, utilice los controles del
dispositivo de audio externo.
Notas:
• Debido a que algunos dispositivos de
almacenamiento tienen una gran capacidad,
los tiempos de acceso USB o SD pueden
ser un poco más largos.
• Cambie el dispositivo a un modo de función
diferente antes de retirar el dispositivo de
almacenamiento USB o SD.
• Para prevenir el mal funcionamiento, del
aparato, no inserte nunca un dispositivo
de almacenamiento USB en el puerto de
carga USB.
Nota:
• El modo de entrada auxiliar sólo permite
al usuario controlar el volumen de la
reproducción desde la torre.
REPRODUCCIÓN BLUETOOTH
1. Pulse el botón para reproducir.
2. Para pausar o reanudar la reproducción,
pulse de nuevo el botón .
3. Pulse los botones o para seleccionar
una pista específica.
Notas:
• No se garantiza la compatibilidad con
todos los dispositivos Bluetooth.
• La reproducción por Bluetooth puede ser
controlada desde el dispositivo externo,
el panel superior de la torre, o el mando a
distancia.

CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO
CUIDADOS DEL CHASIS
1. Para evitar riesgos de incendio o
electrocución, desconecte la unidad de
la alimentación CA cuando la limpie.
2. El exterior de la unidad puede limpiarse
con una gamuza para el polvo y cuidarse
como cualquier mueble. Tenga cuidado
cuando limpie las piezas de plástico.
3. Puede usar detergente suave y una
gamuza humedecida sobre los paneles
laterales y trasero.
4. Si la unidad va a permanecer sin uso
durante un periodo prolongado de
tiempo, es recomendable cubrirla con la
funda protectora (incluída) para prevenir
las infiltraciones de polvo.
CUIDADO DE DISCOS COMPACTOS
1. Manipule el CD cuidadosamente. Sujete
el disco únicamente por los bordes.
No permita que los dedos toquen el lado
reflectante, no impreso del CD.
2. No adhiera cinta adhesiva, pegatinas, etc.
al CD.
3. Limpie periódicamente los CD con una
gamuza suave sin pelusa y seca.
No use nunca detergentes ni limpiadores
abrasivos para limpiar el CD.
En caso necesario, use un kit de limpieza
de CD.
Si un CD se salta pistas o se encalla en
una sección, posiblemente esté sucio o
dañado (rayado).
Cuando limpie el CD, límpielo de dentro
(centro) hacia fuera. No lo limpie nunca
con movimientos circulares.
4. Esta unidad ha sido
diseñada para
reproducir los CD con
el logotipo identificador
mostrado o discos en
formato MP3.
Otros CD pueden no cumplir con el estándar
CD y no reproducirse correctamente.
5. Los CD deben guardarse en sus fundas
después de cada uso para evitar daños.
6. No exponga los CD a la luz solar directa,
humedad elevada, temperaturas elevadas,
polvo, etc. La exposición prolongada a
temperaturas extremas puede deformar
el CD.
7. No adhiera ni escriba nada en ningún
lado del CD.
Podría dañar la superficie con la tinta, o
al emplear objetos de escritura afilados.

Si se produce un fallo, compruebe los aspectos indicados a continuación antes de hacer reparar el equipo.
No abra el altavoz, existe riesgo de electrocución.
