Frame 5 Conduit Box Installation
Follow these steps to install the frame 5 conduit box and debris hood.
1. Use the pilot holes in the conduit box bottom plate to drill the required holes for control and input/output power wire conduit fittings.

2. Loosen the four M4 captive screws that secure the cover to the assembly, and remove the cover.

3. Place the conduit box onto the chassis of the drive, so that the conduit box flanges are located on the inside of the drive chassis.
4. Insert and tighten the four M5 x 10 mm slotted-torx screws in the holes on the bottom sides of the chassis to secure the conduit box to the
chassis.
5. Insert and tighten the two M6 x 12 mm torx screws in the holes on the bottom of the chassis to secure the conduit box to the chassis.

6. Insert and tighten the five M5 x 10 mm slotted-torx screws in the bottom of the conduit box to secure the bottom plate to the conduit box.
7. Route the control and power cables through the bottom plate of the conduit box and connect them to the appropriate input and output
power terminals. See the PowerFlex 750-Series Products with TotalFORCE® Control Installation Instructions, publication 750-IN100, for
power wiring information.

8. Insert and tighten the M6 x 12 mm torx screw in the hole on the front of the conduit box to secure the front plate to the conduit box.
9. Secure the cover to the chassis as shown in step 2 on page 4.

10. Place the debris hood on the top of the chassis and tighten the four M5 captive Phillips-head screws.

Frame 6 Conduit Box and Debris Hood Installation
Follow these steps to install the frame 6 conduit box and debris hood.
1. Use the pilot holes in the conduit box bottom plate to drill the required holes for control and input/output power wire conduit fittings.

2. Loosen the eight M4 captive screws that secure the cover to the assembly, and remove the cover.

3. Remove the two M8 nuts and washers from the PE ground studs on the chassis.
4. Place the two slots in the tab at the top of the conduit box onto the ground studs.
5. Align and tighten the four M4 captive slotted-torx screws on the conduit box to secure it to the chassis.
6. Tighten the two M8 nuts and washers on the PE ground studs.

7. Align the screws on the bottom plate with the holes on the conduit box and tighten the six M4 captive slotted-torx screws to secure the plate
to the box.
8. Route the power cables through the bottom plate of the conduit box and connect them to the appropriate input and output power
terminals. See the PowerFlex® 750-Series Products with TotalFORCE Control Installation Instructions, publication 750-IN100, for power
wiring information.

9. Align the two slots at the top of the front cover with the two tabs on the conduit box and place the cover on the box.
10. Align and tighten the four M4 captive slotted-torx screws on the front plate to secure it to the conduit box.
11. Secure the cover to the chassis as shown in step 2 on page 11.

Follow these steps to install the frame 5 ground plate.
1. Loosen the four M4 captive screws that secure the cover to the assembly, and remove the cover.

2. Insert and tighten the four M5 x 10 mm torx screws in the holes on the side panels of the chassis to secure the ground plate to the chassis.
3. Insert and tighten the two M6 x 12 mm torx screws in the holes on the bottom of the chassis to secure the ground plate to the chassis.

4. As required, insert the M4 slotted torx screws to secure ground wires to the ground plate.
5. As required, insert the appropriate sized cable clamps into the ground plate receptacles and secure the power wires.
6. Secure the cover to the chassis as shown in step 1 page 17.
