− Only connect the deep fryer to an easily accessible socket
so that you can quickly disconnect the deep fryer from the
grid in the event of a fault.
− Do not operate the deep fryer if it exhibits visible damages
or the power cable or power plug is defective.
− If the power cable of the deep fryer is damaged,
the manufacturer, its customer service team or a person

− Do not open the housing; instead, have a qualified
professional perform repairs. For this, contact a qualified
workshop or the manufacturer at the service address
specified on the warranty card.
− Only parts that comply with the original device data may
be used for repairs. Electrical and mechanical parts, which
are essential for providing protection against sources of
danger, are located in this deep fryer.
− The deep fryer must not be operated with an external timer
or with a separate telecontrol system.
− Do not immerse the deep fryer, the power cable and the
mains plug in water or other liquids.
− Never touch the power plug with damp hands.
− Never pull the power plug out of the socket by the power
cable; instead, always do so by taking hold of the power plug.
− Never use the power cable as a carrying strap.

− Always switch the deep fryer off and pull the power plug
out of the socket when you are not using the deep fryer,
cleaning it or in the event of a fault.
− Do not operate the appliance if the power cord shows any
damage or if the appliance works intermittently or stops

High temperatures are produced when using the deep fryer.
The fat and metallic parts of the deep fryer may become very
hot. You could burn yourself on them and the fat sprayed.
− Fill oil or fat into the oil reservoir at least up to the MIN
mark and not past the MAX mark.
− Only use the enclosed frying basket or the original spare
parts for deep frying.
− Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
− Do not transport the deep fryer if there is hot oil or fat in it.
− Do not place the deep fryer on or near a hot gas or electric
burner, or where it could touch a heated oven.
WARNING!
Scalding hazard!
During use and after switching off the deep fryer, hot steam will
be emitted from it and the steam vents. Parts of the deep fryer
will become hot. You could scald or burn yourself on it.
− Make sure there is a safe distance to all flammable objects,

NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the deep fryer may damage it.
− Place the deep fryer on an easily accessible, level, dry, heat-re-
sistant and sufficiently stable work surface. Do not place the
deep fryer on the edge or corner of the work surface.
− Ensure that the power cable does not come into contact
with hot parts.

(heaters etc.) or to the effects of the weather (rain etc.).
− Be sure handles are properly attached to baskets and are
locked in place. See detailed in assembly instructions.
− Stop using the deep fryer if the plastic parts of the deep fryer
are cracked, chipped deformed or otherwise damaged. Only
replace damaged parts with corresponding original spare
parts.
− Always insure the deep fryer is properly assembly before
use. Follow the instruction provided in this book.

BREAKAWAY CORD
− This appliance features a breakaway cord and polarized
plug. The breakaway cord is designed to quickly disconnect
from the appliance when a pulling force is applied.
The breakaway cord can fit into the appliance in only once
direction. User may refer to the printing on the cord connec-
tor that states “This side UP.”
− Always attach breakaway cord to appliance first, and then
plug into wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to off,
then remove plug from wall outlet.
POLARIZED PLUG
− This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this
plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do
not attempt to modify the plug in any way
EXTENSION CORDS
− An extension cord or longer detachable cord is not recom-
mended for use with deep fryers. A short power-supply
cord is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
Extension cords are available and may be used if care is
exercised in their use. If an extension cord is used:
• The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be
at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance,
• If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a
grounding 3-wire cord; and
• The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the
countertop or tabletop where it can be tripped over, snagged, or pulled
on unintentionally (especially by children).
− If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances,
your appliance may not operate. It should be operated on an
electrical circuit that is free from other appliances. If you are
not sure of the reason for overloading or cannot find a sepa-
rate circuit, contact a qualified electrician.
