Deploying the Access Ramp
1. For the Easy-Flex-Ramp: Lift the access ramp up to the
vertical position until it audibly engages.
2. Push the operating lever to the left, to deploy the access
ramp.
3. Fold the access ramp out.
Caution! Keep a firm hold of the access ramp until
it is fully in contact with the ground. Allow the
access ramp to deploy slowly.
For a long wheelbase vehicle:
1. Fold the third row of seats up.
2. If necessary, remove the third row of seats.
3. Remove the seat retainers (see Figure overleaf).
Loading a Passenger / Wheelchair
1. Accompany the wheelchair to a position in front of the
access ramp.
2. Operate the rocker switch such that the indicator lamp in
the rocker switch lights up.
3. Pull the electrically operated belts out to the wheelchair.
4. Attach the electrically operated belts to the wheelchair.
5. Operate the rocker switch such that the indicator lamp in
the rocker switch goes out.
Warning! The wheelchair can roll back out of
control if the indicator lamp in the rocker switch is
lit up. The passenger in the wheelchair can suffer
injury. Make certain that the indicator lamp in the
rocker switch is not lit up. Do not push the
wheelchair up the access ramp until this has been
done.
6. Push the wheelchair into the vehicle.
Securing the Passenger and Wheelchair in the
Vehicle
1. Clip the retractors onto the fittings.
2. Attach the retractor belts to the wheelchair.
3. Tension the retractor belts by tightening the belt reels.
4. Apply the wheelchair's parking brakes.
5. Secure the passenger in the wheelchair using the
restraint systems provided.
6. Fold the access ramp up, until it audibly engages.
Disembarking a Passenger / Unloading a
Wheelchair
1. Deploy the access ramp slowly.
2. Release the retractor belt reels.
3. Disconnect the retractors from the fittings.
4. Detach the retractor belts from the wheelchair.
5. Release the wheelchair's parking brakes.
Warning! The wheelchair can roll backwards out
of control. The passenger in the wheelchair can
suffer injury. Stand behind the wheelchair to
prevent it from rolling backwards. Only then
operate the rocker switch such that the indicator
lamp in the rocker switch lights up.
6. Operate the rocker switch such that the indicator lamp in
the rocker switch lights up.
7. Accompany the wheelchair down from the access ramp.
8. Detach the electrically operated belts from the
wheelchair.
9. Fold the access ramp up, until it audibly engages.
