Deploying the Access Ramp
1. Press the unlatching buttons on both sides of the ramp.
2. Fold the access ramp out.
Caution! Keep a firm hold of the access ramp until
it is fully in contact with the ground. Allow the
access ramp to deploy slowly.
3. For a one-piece access ramp: Operate the black rocker
switch to lower the vehicles rear suspension.
Warning! Make certain that no limbs are under the
vehicle when lowering the rear suspension. Only
then must the suspension be lowered. Take note
that the headroom under the open tailgate is
reduced when the rear suspension is lowered.
Loading a Passenger / Wheelchair
1. Fold the vehicle's rear seats to the stowed position.
2. Remove the seat retainers.
3. Stow the seat retainers in a suitable place (e. g. in the
glove compartment).
4. Accompany the wheelchair to a position in front of the
access ramp.
5. Operate the rocker switch such that the indicator lamp in
the rocker switch lights up.
6. Pull the electrically operated belts out to the wheelchair.
7. Attach the electrically operated belts to the wheelchair.
8. Operate the rocker switch such that the indicator lamp in
the rocker switch goes out.
Warning! The wheelchair can roll back out of
control if the indicator lamp in the rocker switch is
lit up. The passenger in the wheelchair can suffer
injury. Make certain that the indicator lamp in the
rocker switch is not lit up. Push or drive the
wheelchair up the access ramp only when this
has been done.
9. Push the wheelchair into the vehicle.
Securing the Passenger and Wheelchair in the
Vehicle
1. Attach the retractor belts to the wheelchair.
2. Clip the retractors onto the fittings.
3. Tension the retractor belts by tightening the belt reels.
4. Apply the wheelchair's parking brakes.
5. Secure the passenger in the wheelchair using the
restraint systems provided.
6. Fold the access ramp up, until it audibly engages. If
fitted, the lowering rear suspension automatically raises
the vehicle.
Disembarking a Passenger / Unloading a
Wheelchair
1. Deploy the access ramp slowly.
2. For a one-piece access ramp: Operate the black rocker
switch to lower the vehicle’s rear suspension.
3. Release the retractor belt reels.
4. Disconnect the retractors from the fittings.
5. Detach the retractor belts from the wheelchair.
6. Release the wheelchair's parking brakes.
Warning! The wheelchair can roll back out of
control. The passenger in the wheelchair can be
severely injured. Stand behind the wheelchair to
prevent it from rolling backwards. Only then
operate the rocker switch such that the
indicator lamp in the rocker switch lights up.
7. Operate the rocker switch such that the indicator lamp
in the rocker switch lights up.
8. Accompany the wheelchair down from the access ramp.
9. Detach the electrically operated belts from the
wheelchair.
10. Fold the access ramp up, until it audibly engages.
