How to adjust Fitness Detectors on MIB-11F for ATM, FIT1 and FIT2
‘FITNESS” Function discriminates banknotes between fit for further circulation or Unfit to return to Federal Reserve Bank
according to their guideline. Unfit banknotes are determined by level of stains, holes and graffiti etc. and sends to the
designated pocket. There are 8 parameter of the Fitness standard as defined below:
Fitness conditions
Missing corner: Missing a portion / segment of the banknote
Stain: Localized concentration of dirty
Soiling (Dirty): General Distribution of dirt across the entire banknote
Tapes: Clear tape on the banknotes
Holes: Holes appear on banknote
Tear: A portion of banknote is missing or torn
Corner folded (Dog-ears): Any corner of banknote is folded
Graffiti (Including stamp): Deliberate graphical alteration of the banknote
Using of MIB-11F Touch Screen, user can select FITNESS function (ATM, FIT1 or FIT2) or turn it off.

‘FITNESS’ : Press on this touch symbol to select the fitness level from ATM / FIT1 / FIT2
Using this FITNESS mode, ATM owners, CIT companies or banks who want to recycle monies
within branches and need to sort o t UNFIT banknotes from their deposits for ATM cassettes
replenishment or prior sending deposits to Federal Reserve Bank, will be able to perform the task by selecting of
correct Fitness Criteria as below:
1. FITNESS OFF: It means, Fitness f nction is t rned off.
2. ATM: ATM level is application for sers replenishing their ATM cassettes to remove nfit banknotes. The fitness
criteria is set as bit sensitive per FED’s G ideline. However, ser can choose FIT1 for this application as well.
3. FIT1: FIT1 level is less restrictive as to determining nfit banknotes criteria.
4. FIT2: FIT2 level is f rther less restrictive to determining nfit banknotes criteria.
The status for stacker:
When FITNESS mode is on, machine will deliver fit or nfit banknotes to respective pockets as below:
‘FIT On’ : Fit notes will deliver to the stacker pocket.
‘UNFIT On’ : Unfit notes will deliver to the stacker pocket.
‘Fitness Off’ : Fitness f nction off.
If required, service professional can make adjustment to FITNESS Detectors to fit requirement by their end-
customers as requirement by each customers vary depending on their Fitness requirement.

Press ‘MENU’ -> ‘MODE’ -> ‘55757’
Press ‘C’ key to return to previous screen. To Exit from the menu entirely and return to Main screen, press ‘MENU’ key.

In this menu, user can set fitness sorting level for each currency and each denomination.
① [DEFAULT]: Set Fitness val e to the Defa lt
-. [YES]: Apply to all Fitness Sub-mode
-. [NO]: Apply only to current Fitness Sub-mode
-. [CANCEL]: Do not apply
② [ALL]: Decide if the data below is also applied or not to another denomination.

③ [SAVE]: Save c rrent setting (C rrency, Fitness S b-mode, Denomination)
④ [CURRENCY]: The c rrent c rrency’s displayed and if this is to ched, another c rrency is set. Example here, R ssia.
⑤ [Fitness Su -Mode]: The c rrency Fitness S b-Mode is displayed and if this is to ched, another Fitness S b-Mode is
set. (There are 3 levels. ATM, FIT1, FIT2)
⑥ [Denomination]: The c rrency denomination is displayed and if this is to ched another denomination is set.
⑦ [Setting value]: Setting On or Off on each condition,
If it is off, that condition doesn’t apply to other
denominations.
⑧ [Fitness Sorting]: Items for fitness are displayed
⑨ [Default]: The defa lt of each item is displayed.

- Fitness condition:
Setting of Fitness condition by touching the section (④)
[2] Example,
1. Prepare total 20 notes of ‘RUB100’ (same denomination and same orientation)
2. Place them on the hopper
3. After counting is done, the screen will be shown as picture.
- AVG.: the average of soil level
- COUNT: the number of notes
- FIT: the percentage of fit notes
- UNFIT: the percentage of unfit notes
4. As you can see the screen, you can change level in this
display by dragging button(⑤)
5. If User wants to adjust the soil level in order to process all
of 20 notes as unfit ones, find the highest number of in the
FIT range, in this case, it will be the level, 145
6. By touching the section (⑥) or pressing the [START/STOP]
key, adjusted soil levels are applied.
■Import fitness level

You can apply the specified fitness level from one machine to another by ‘Export fitness level’ &’ Import fitness level’ menu.
This is how to export the specified fitness level and how to import.
Follow the below steps
[1] Insert USB Memory Stick to USB port in machine.
[2] Select ‘Export fitness level’ in this men
(Admin Menu or Service Menu -> Value setting/ Fitness/ Export fitness level)
[3] To ch on [EXPORT] Icon. Then LCD will be displayed as follows

After checking the file which yo want to apply to another machine. And
then to ch [NEXT] Icon
Select the c rrencies and fitness S b-Mode which sers want to apply to
another machine and to ch [IMPORT] Icon

■Soil adjustment
1. Explanation
1) Due to tolerance between machines, each machine has the
different sorting level even if same soil levels are set.
2) To correct this tolerance between machines, “ADJUST SOIL
VALUE” menu in the sub-menu as (3)
3) In this menu “ADJUST SOIL VALUE”, it is possible to manually
adjust the quantity of IR, RGB, WHT, and RGB 2 sensors level
to reduce the tolerance
4) For example, When the Image or Option Board are changed or
CIS sensors are changed, the Soil level need to be adjusted in
order to reduce to the tolerance between the sets.
2. MENU
①CURRENCY: Currency which needs correction of the tolerance of SOIL LEVEL
②RESET: reset all adjusting offset.
③SOIL LEVEL: key for changing value of LIGHT SOURCE
④USE: Light Source
IRT(IR Transmission), RGB(CIS1 Reflection), WHT(WHITE), and RGB2(CIS2 Reflection)
⑤LEVEL: Value of each Light Source
⑥OFFSET: the Adjusting value of each Light Source
⑦& ⑧LIGHTER & DARKER: Key for changing the adjusting value.
3. How to adjust
1) Press “ MENU -> MODE -> ***** -> VALUE_FITNESS_SOIL
ADJUSTMENT”. Then, The Screen will be displayed as:
2) Adjust Bill Guide and place one standard note (US 1$).
- When adjusting the soil level in the machines, you have to put the standard banknote with same direction
- The quality of the note shall be Fit note.

3) The picture as right shows the result after placing US 1$ into
the standard machine (No 1 machine).
You can see the below data
- IRT level: 75
- RGB level: 102
- WHT level: 56
- RGB2 level: 131
- SOIL LEVEL: 100
4) The picture as right shows the result after placing US 1$ into
another machine (No 2 machine).
You can see the below data.
- IRT level: 79
- RGB level: 106
- WHT level: 60
- RGB2 level: 130
- SOIL LEVEL: 102
5) Soil level in No#2 Machine is higher than in No.1 machine. So,
decrease value of Light source by using key (LIGHTER &
DARKER) to make Soil level same in two machines. As you can
see the picture () value of IRT, RGB, and WHT are decrease by 1.
Then, you can see soil level is “100” in No 2 machine like No 1
machine.
SPECIAL NOTE:
Due to complexity of Fitness level adjustment, please contact AMROTEC for changing other Fitness Parameter of MIB-
11F. Please make a note that, all fitness level criteria for ATM, FIT1 and FIT2 have been pre-set by factory to their best
value. Therefore, it is not always necessary to make any adjustment to these levels. Users / operators have three fitness
level choices to chose from in order to achieve their expected results from this FITNESS functions.
