AMROTEC® MX-2S CURRENCY DISCRIMINATOR – QUICK HANDBOOK FOR OPERATOR
 How to place Banknotes onto Hopper 
 Remove paper clip, rubber band, damage bills. Align
banknotes nicely on each edge. Place them on Note hopper.
 Adjust Note guides to the dimensions o your banknotes.
How to open rear door or bill path access 
 Insert your ingers inside the tab and li t up the cover towards
you. Remove jam bill or per orm cleaning as necessary.
 Li t up and press gently to close the cover.

(de ault). Gray LED  OFF  press [START]
Counter eit Detection. Green LED ON.

ADD (Accumulation). Green LED ON,
Gray LED OFF
Change Counting speed (800 / 1000 /1200)
Flag represents the country’s currency
selected. Press to select Canadian or Multi-
currencies.
 How to switch to di erent counting modes?
Press [MODE] key on the Control Panel to switch from MIX
(Default)  SI GLE SORT FACE  ORIE T  COU T 
 How to switch to Manual Start rom AUTO Start
Touch this Icon on the Touch display screen to change from
automatic start of counting (Default) to Manual Start where MX- S will start
counting when [START/ENTER] key on the control panel is pressed.

 How to select Multi-currency Counting operation
(USD, Canada so tware is standard)
USD currency is de ault so tware. Touch country lag on the
touch screen to prompt currency selection screen. AUTO ( irst
currency as standard) and MULTI (Process mixture currencies in
single pass). I MULTI is selected and once multi-currencies are
processed, Press [DETAIL] key to see count results o all currency-
type counted. Touch icon to see break-down or each currecny.
How to
set up
“Denomination Batch / DB”?
 MX-2S allows users to Batch / Strap by setting
individual Qty or specific Amount ($ for each and every
denominations and MX-2S will stop at the Strap limit set.
Apply to SINGLE and SORT mode. Press [BATCH] key or
Icon to prompt batch setting screen. Press DB and set up your
strap limit by typing dollar amount o qty or each denom. Save
by pressing icon.
How to Auto-Print Receipt to a printer?
Users can set up Automatic printing of count result receipt by selecting
Auto Printing ON under MENU. MX- S will start printing as soon as
counting is completed and no bills on the Note hopper area and
without users to press PRINT key.

 How to perform Manual Entry for non-recognized
genuine bills
 When a circulated genuine
bill stopped at the stacker (top
bill) for [IMAGE ERROR] as
no-read by image sensors,
remove the banknote for
manual inspection and if
genuine, press [DETAIL] key
to prompt the Manual Entry Screen where user can enter the
denomination of banknote that stopped  press Icon or
[START] key, and it will add to the running total and MX- S will
resume operation from where it stopped.
 User can see the machine count and Manual Entry count break-
down if print receipt (given a manual entry was performed).
How to activate ADD and CF (Counter eit detection)
 ADD function provides cumulative count of continuous operation
(multiple stack or banknotes) and it is turned off by default. To turn it ON,
press [ADD] key or Icon on the touch screen. Green LED
assures activation and Gray LED  Deactivated.
 (Counterfeit detection) detects suspect banknotes using various
counterfeit detectors. It is turned ON (Green LED) by default. It is not
recommended to turn it OFF. By pressing it (Gray LED), will turn off.

 Users can deactivate
counting modes not needed
or their operation and or
simplicity. Press Mode Icon
on the touch screen and use
slider to disable the modes
users do not need. Enter
or [START/ENTER] key on control panel to save settings.
 Important Counting Modes and explanation:
MIX (As Default Mode)
When at MIX mode, MX- S will count and denominate mixture
denomination of banknotes and show breakdown and print receipt.
SI GLE (Stranger Mode)
MX- S counts and delivers first detected genuine banknotes as
standard to Stacker and stop at other denominations which are not
counted to the total. DB strapping function is available in this mode.
SORT
MX- S processes organized or mixture denominations strap while
stopping at a new denomination change. DB strapping is available.
FACE (Front / Back), ORIE T (Direction)
MS- S processes first deteced same Face or same portrait direction
of banknote for the denomination and stops at non-faced (wrong
face) or non-oriented (wrong portrait direction) banknotes of the
same denomination in process.
How to Batch by Qty or by Amount ($)
 MX-2S allows users to Batch / Strap by a speci ic Qty or
by specific Amount ($ . Press [BATCH] key or Icon on the
touch screen to prompt batch setting screen by QTY, AMOUNT.
