toset therelativehumiditylevelforyourhomeandprovidescontrolofthedehumidifierfroma
convenientlivingspacelocation.TheModel76Cusesanonboardsensorto monitortherelative
humidityin thespacein whichit is locatedanddisplaysthemeasuredrelativehumidityonthe
digitaldisplay.
TheModel76Ccanalsoactasa remoteeentrelforyourdehumidifierif it is locatedinan
inconvenientorhardto accessarea.Forexample,whenthedehumidifierislocatedinand
dehumidifyingacrawl spaceora basement,theModel76Ccanbe installedwhereyouspend
mostofyourtime, allowingyoutomakechangestothesettingandto seewhat thehumidityis
in theseareaswithouthavingtoaccessthedehumidifier.
Thecontrolwill allowyouto setthe desiredhumiditylevelin yourhomeandcanbeusedto
turndehumidificationOnorOff.
Thematerialsina homeact likea sponge,sothemoisturein thematerialsof yourhomeis at
thesamelevelastheair.After dryingtheair,the materialsofthehomewifl releasemoisture
backintothe air untiltheyareagainat the samelevel.Asa result,it is notuncommonforthe
dehumidifierto operatefor anextendedperiodoftime whenfirst installed.
BeginbypressingtheONbuttonandONwill be displayedonthe LCDScreen(seeLCDdisplay
in Figure1).Usethearrowbuttonsto setthecontrolat 59%whenfirst installed.Allowthe
dehumidifierto runfor 24hoursbeforedecidingif youwant tochangethehumiditysetting.

timethat the dehumidifierruns.

decidingifyouwant to changethedryness
levelsetting,
increase the dryness level setting
ifyouprefer the air te be meredry;
thiswill increasetheamountoftime
thatthedehumidifierruns.

®Thecontrolsendsthedrynessleveltothedehumidifier.
o OnceperCyclePeriod(setbyyourinstallerin thedehumidifier),the dehumidifierwill sample
theair intheareaservedbythe dehumidifier.
o If thedew pointoftheincomingair is abovethedrynesslevel,thedehumidifierwill turnon
andONwill blinkonthe LCDdisplay.
o Whenthedewpointofthe incomingair falls belowthesetting,the dehumidifierwill turn

Thecontrollimitsareusedto makesurethedehumidifierdoesnotrunwhenconditionsare
outsideoftheoperatinglimits.Dehumidifiersarenotaseffectivewhenconditionsareoutside
oftheoperatinglimits.Forexample,thedehumidifierwill notremovemuchmoisturewhen
conditionsarecoo!anddry.Controllimitsallowthedehumidifiertowork efficientlywithin the
operatingrangeandturnoff whenconditionsareoutsideof theselimits.

o Thecontrolwill resumenormaloperationwhenconditionsfall backwithin thecontrollimits.
o Thedehumidifierwill turnoff ifoneofthe controllimitshasbeenexceeded.
o If thedehumidifiermeasuresa temperaturebelow50°Forabove105°F,the dehumidifier
will stopdehumidifying.
o Thecontrolwill resumenormaloperationwhenconditionsinthe remotespacefall back
withinthe dehumidifiercontrollimits.
ThesurfaceoftheModel76CDehumidifierControlcanbecleanedwith wateror anomabrasive
householdcleaner,includingglasscleaner.Donet spray any liquid directly entethe eentrel.
Spraywateror acleanerontoasoftc!othandgentlywipethe surfaceofthecontrol.
