1Introduction and safety instructions
1.1 Introduction
•This user manual is intended to familiarize you with the installation, use and maintenance of
the product. To install the device safely and correctly, please read the user manual before you
begin.

WARNING! This signal symbol/word refers to a hazard with a medium degree of risk which, if not
avoided, may result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION! This signal symbol/word refers to a low-risk hazard which, if not avoided, may result in
minor or moderate injury.
Hint! This signal symbol/word warns of possible property damage.
WARNING! Read the safety regulations and instructions
carefully.
Failure to comply with safety instructions and instructions may cause
electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Keep all safety instructions
and instructions for the future.

Remove the power plug from the power outlet before working on the
device! Do not touch the power plug with damp or wet hands.
Unplug the power cord from the power outlet by touching it on the
power plug.

Parts of this device can get very hot and cause burns. Pay special
attention when children or other vulnerable people are present!

This device can pose dangers if it is used improperly or not as
intended by persons who have not been instructed! Note that the
device is not a toy and does not belong in children's hands. Personnel
qualifications!

Behaviour in an emergency
•Turn off the device.
•In an emergency, disconnect the device from the power supply: Unplug the power cord from
the power outlet by touching it on the power plug.
•Do not reconnect a defective device to the power connector.
Overheating protection
The device has a safety thermostat that is activated when the device overheats.
•The device then turns off automatically.
•The lamps on the toggle switches for the heating stages go out.
When the safety thermostat is enabled, let the device cool down and then look for the cause of the
overheating. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
