1Introduction and safety instructions
1.1 Introduction
•This user manual is intended to familiarize you with the installation, use and maintenance of
the product. To install the device safely and correctly, please read the user manual before you
begin.

Behaviour in an emergency
•Turn off the device.
•In an emergency, disconnect the device from the power supply: Unplug the power cord from
the power outlet by touching it on the power plug.
•Do not reconnect a defective device to the power connector.
Overheating protection
The device has a safety thermostat that is activated in case of overheating (exceeding the operating
temperature) of the device.
•When the safety thermostat is turned on, the device turns off.
•When the device has cooled down sufficiently, the heating turns on again.
•Look for the cause of the overheating.
If the safety thermostat does not switch in case of overheating, the overheating protection triggers.
The device then switches off completely. In this case, contact customer service to have the overheating
fuse replaced.

1.3 Safety instructions
•Your safety is most important to us. So please make sure you read the user manual before
installing and using the product. If you are unsure about any information in this manual, please
contact the dealer from whom you purchased the device.
•DO NOT use the product if you have not yet read the instruction manual.
•Make sure you have read the user manual thoroughly and understood the contents before you
begin the installation.
•The instructions are in the interest of your safety.
WARNING! This device may be used by children 8 years of age and older, as well as by persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have
been supervised or instructed in the safe use of the device and understand the resulting dangers.
Children are not allowed to play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried
out by children without supervision.
WARNING! Children younger than 3 years of age should be kept away from the device unless
they are constantly monitored. Children 3 years of age and younger than 8 years of age may only
turn the device on and off if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the device
and understand the resulting dangers, provided that:
that the device is placed or installed in its normal usage position.
Children from 3 years of age and younger than 8 years of age must not plug the plug into the socket,
regulate the device, clean the device and/or perform maintenance by the user.
WARNING! Do not use the device in small rooms if there are people in it who can not leave the
room on their own and are not under constant supervision.
•Do not operate the device in potentially explosive rooms or areas and do not place it there.
•Do not operate the device in an aggressive atmosphere.
•Place the device upright and stable on a load-bearing surface.
•Allow the device to dry after a wet cleaning. Do not operate it in the wet state.

•Select power cord extensions based on device power, cable length, and intended use. Fully
unroll the extension cord. Avoid electrical overload.
•Before servicing, care or repairing the device, unplug the power cord from the power outlet
by touching it on the power plug.
•Turn off the device and remove the power cord from the power outlet when not using the
device.

•Never use the device if you notice damage to the power plug or power cord. If the power cord
of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or his customer service or
a similarly qualified person to avoid hazards. Defective power cords pose a serious threat to
health!
•During installation, observe the minimum distances to walls and objects as well as the storage
and operating conditions according to the technical data (chapter Technical data).
•Do not use the device in the immediate vicinity of curtains, beds or sofas.
•Keep a safety distance of at least 1 m between the air inlet and the air outlet of the device and
all flammable materials such as textiles, curtains, beds and sofas.
•Make sure the air inlet and air outlet are free.
•Make sure that the intake side is always free of dirt and loose objects.
•Do not place the device on a flammable surface.
•Only use original spare parts, otherwise no functional and safety-compliant operation is
guaranteed.
•Allow the device to cool down before transport and/or maintenance.
•Do not use this unit near bathtubs, shower trays, swimming pools or other vessels that contain
water. There is a risk of electric shock!
•Do not use this device again if it has been dropped or shows visible signs of damage.
•Do not insert rechargeable batteries into the remote control.
•Use the CR 2025 button battery type.
•Never charge batteries that cannot be recharged.
•Different battery types as well as new and used batteries may not be used together.
•Place the batteries in the battery compartment according to the correct polarity.
•Remove discharged batteries from the device. Batteries contain environmentally hazardous
substances. Dispose of the batteries in accordance with national legislation (see chapter
Environmentally friendly disposal).
•Remove the batteries from the remote control if you have not been using the device for an
extended period of time.
•Never close the supply terminals in the battery compartment briefly!
•Do not swallow batteries! If a battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns/burns
within 2 hours! The burns can lead to death!
•If you think a battery has been swallowed or otherwise entered the body, see a doctor right
away!
•Keep new and used batteries away from children, as well as an open battery compartment.
•If the battery compartment does not close securely, do not use the device via the remote
control.
•The heater must not be placed directly under a wall socket.
•To avoid overheating, the heater must not be covered.
•CAUTION! Some parts of this product can get very hot and cause burns. Special care
should be taken if children and vulnerable persons are present.
•CAUTION! To avoid the risk of accidental resetting of the thermal circuit breaker, this
device must not be powered by an external switchgear, such as a timer, or connected to a
circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
•Read all instructions carefully before use.
•Make sure that the voltage specified on the device's nameplate matches.
•Keep the device and cable away from heat sources, sharp objects, or other things that could
cause damage.
•Make sure the device is turned off before connecting it to the mains.
•Turn off the device and unplug it when not in use before cleaning it or performing other

maintenance.
•To unplug the device, turn it off and then unplug it from the wall outlet. Do not unplug the
cable to unplug it.
•Do not operate the device in areas where gasoline, paint or other flammable liquids are used
or stored.
•Use indoors only.
•In order to prevent a possible fire, the air inlets and outlets must not be blocked in any way.
•Do not touch the hot surfaces.
•Do not insert any foreign objects into the ventilation or exhaust air vents and do not allow
them to penetrate, as this can lead to an electric shock, fire or damage to the device.
•Always make sure your hands are dry before pressing or adjusting a switch on the device or
touching the plug and outlet.
•Do not leave the device unattended when it is in operation.
•The most common cause of overheating is deposits of dust or fluff in the device. Ensure that
these deposits are removed regularly by unplugging the device and vacuuming the vents and
grilles.
•Do not place the heater on carpets and do not lay the cable under carpets. Lay the cable away
from traffic areas so you can't stumble over it.
•Store the heater in a cool, dry place when not in use and do not store it until it has cooled.
•Do not use the device to dry clothes.
•Do not immerse the device in liquids and do not let liquids run into the interior of the device,
as this can lead to an electric shock.
•Do not use the device on a wet surface or where it can fall down or be pushed into the water.
•Do not reach for a device that has fallen into the water. Turn off the power supply and
immediately unplug the power plug.
•Use the device only as described in this guide. Any other use is not recommended by the
manufacturer and may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
•Do not use the device on a window, as rain can cause an electric shock.
•Do not store the device in a box or enclosed space until it has cooled down sufficiently.

Intended use
The device is only suitable for well-insulated rooms or for occasional use.
Use the device exclusively for heating enclosed spaces, in compliance with the technical data.
The intended use includes the heating of:
•Flats
•Storage rooms
•Business premises
•Construction site rooms
•Containers
•Stacking
Foreseeable misuse
•Do not place the device on wet or flooded surfaces.
•Do not place objects, such as clothing, on the device.
•Do not use the device near gasoline, solvents, paints or other highly flammable fumes or in
rooms where they are stored.
•Do not use the device outdoors.
•Do not use the device to heat vehicles.
•The device must not be used near swimming pools.
•Do not use the device in the immediate vicinity of sinks, bathtubs or other containers that
contain water.
•This heater must not be used in wet rooms.
•Never submerge the device in water.
•Do not heat rooms with less than 4 m³ volume. There is a risk of overheating!
•This heater must not be used in wet rooms.
•Any use other than the intended use shall be deemed to be a reasonably foreseeable misuse.
•Unauthorized structural changes such as additions or conversions to the device are prohibited.
Personnel qualification
People using this device must:
•be aware of the dangers of working with electrical appliances in a humid environment.
•have read and understood the operating instructions, in particular the chapter on safety.
Maintenance activities that require the opening of the housing may only be carried out by electricians
or by AREBOS.

Information about the device
•The device is used to generate warm air for indoor use.
•The device generates heat via an electric heating element.
The air around the heating element is heated. The heated air rises through the air outlet
upwards and to the sides and thus enters the room.
•The device has an integrated temperature sensor that regulates the heating level depending
on the current and the desired room temperature.
•From the control panel, you can set a target temperature value between 15 °C and 35 °C.
•The device is operated via the control panel on the device or via the supplied infrared remote
control.
•The device can be conveniently positioned in the room via the feet with integrated castors.

3Installation and commissioning
WARNING! Make sure you are sufficiently distanced from walls, fixtures or other equipment. The
distance must be at least 1 m from the front and side walls of the appliance in order to eliminate the
risk of fire.
Unpack the device
•Remove the device and all accessories from the package. Check that the device has no signs of
damage.
•Completely remove the packaging from the device.
•Unwind the power cord completely. Make sure that the power cord is not damaged and do
not damage it when unwinding.
•Choose a fixed, flat and non-combustible location.
•Plug the power plug into a suitable 220 - 240V~50/60Hz outlet and make sure the power
button is set to "OFF".
Assembly
WARNING! risk of injury due to incorrect installation due to electrical voltage! There may be
local or national regulations for assembly. We recommend that you have the assembly carried out by
an electrician.
WARNING! Fire hazard due to incorrect installation! There is a risk of fire if the required
minimum distances are not observed. Pay full attention to the content in the chapter Assembly and
commissioning as well as the technical data in the chapter Technical data.
Mounting feet with castors
WARNING! Make sure that the 2 feet are mounted before using the heater to ensure a sufficient
distance to the stand surface.
•Put the device on its side.
•Screw the two feet (3) with 3 screws each.
•Check the feet (3) for a firm fit.
•Place the device upright and stable.

Commissioning
Info: Odours formation can occur during the first commissioning or after a long period of non-use.
When setting up the device, observe the minimum distances to walls and objects according to the
chapter Technical data.
•Before recommissioning the device, check the condition of the power cord. If you have any
doubts about its perfect condition, call customer service.
•Place the device upright and stable.
•Avoid tripping points when laying the power cable or other electrical cables, especially when
placing the device in the middle of the room. Use cable bridges.
•Ensure that cable extensions are fully rolled out or unrolled.
•Make sure that curtains or other objects do not hinder the flow of air.
•Do not place the device directly under a wall outlet.
•Make sure that the device cannot come into contact with moisture or water.
Insert batteries into remote control
Warning! before electric voltage Do not touch the battery compartment with damp or wet
hands.
Hint! Do not run the device with rechargeable batteries!
Please note the technical data during commissioning.
•Squeeze the latch on the side of the battery compartment and pull the battery compartment
out of the remote control.
•Insert a CR 2025 battery into the battery compartment and slide the battery compartment
back into the remote control.
Be sure to place the batteries in the battery compartment according to the correct polarity.
•If you do not use it for a long time, remove the battery.
To avoid pollution, take out the used battery and dispose of it safely and properly.
Connect the power cord
•Plug the power plug into a properly secured power outlet.
•Make sure that the power cord is routed behind the device. Never run the power cord in front
of the device!
4Service
•Remove the heater and spare parts from the box and place it on a solid, flat floor or work
surface.
•Before plugging the plug into the outlet, make sure that the power supply in your area matches
the one indicated on the device's nameplate.
•Set the main button to Off. Plug the power cord into a 220-240V~AC outlet and set the main
switch to "on".
•Turn on the device by pressing the main on/off switch. , the device displays the current room
temperature.

Warning! Fire hazard due to cover and incorrect positioning of the device!
There is a risk of fire if you cover the device or position it incorrectly.
Never cover the device during operation and position it at a sufficient distance from walls and
objects (according to chapter Technical Data).
Turn on the device
After you have set up the device ready for operation as described in the chapter Assembly and
Commissioning, you can switch it on.
•Set the power button (6) to position I.
An acoustic signal sounds.
The device is now in standby mode.
The current room temperature is displayed in the segment display (18).
•Press the Power button (17).
The device starts in the heating stage low heating level.
The low heating level (9) icon is lit.
Info: The device stores the set room temperature in standby mode.
Setting the heating level
You can set the following heating levels:
•Low heating level (heating capacity 1200 W)
•high heating level (heating capacity 2000 W)
•Press the Power button (17) to set low heating.
The low heating level (9) icon appears.
•Press the Power (17) button again to set the high heating level.
The high heating level icon (10) is displayed in addition to the low heating level icon (9).
Set the desired room temperature
The room temperature determined by the temperature sensor is expressed in
of the segment display (18). You can at any time use the
Set the desired room temperature.
•Press the MODE (15) button repeatedly until the Temperature (11) icon flashes.
The desired room temperature is displayed.
•Press the Increase Value (16) or Decrease Value (14) buttons to set the desired room
temperature. The setting range is between 15 °C and 35 °C in 1° steps.
The desired room temperature is stored and displayed for about 5 seconds in the segment
display (18), after which the current room temperature is displayed again.
Info: The desired room temperature should be higher than the current room temperature.
Set timer
The timer works as follows:
•automatic switching on according to the preset number of hours
•automatic switch-off after a preset number of hours
The number of hours can be between 1 and 24 hours and in
1-hour steps.
Hint! The device must not be operated unattended in a freely accessible room when the timer is
active.

Automatic power on
The device is turned on.
The device is in standby mode.
•Press the MODE button (15).
The Timer (12) icon flashes.
•Use the Increase Value (16) or Decrease Value (14) buttons to select the desired number of
hours.
The number of hours is displayed flashing for about 5 seconds in the segment display (18).
The time until automatic switching on is saved.
The Timer (12) icon flashes.
Automatic power off
The device is turned on.
The device heats in the set heating level.
•Press the MODE button (15).
•Use the Increase Value (16) or Decrease Value (14) buttons to select the desired number of
hours.
If you select the number of hours 0, the timer is switched off.
The number of hours is displayed flashing for about 5 seconds in the segment display (18).
The time until automatic shutdown is saved.
The Timer (12) icon flashes.
Notes on automatic power off:
•Manually turning off the device disables automatic power off.
•If you select the number of hours 0, the timer is switched off.
Decommissioning
Warning! from electrical voltage!
Do not touch the power plug with damp or wet hands.
•Turn off the device by setting the on/off switch (6) to position 0.
•Unplug the power cord from the power outlet by touching it on the power plug.
•Allow the device to cool down sufficiently.
•Clean the device according to the chapter Maintenance.
•Store the device according to the chapter Storage.
5Errors and malfunctions
Warning! from electrical voltage! Activities that require the opening of the device may only be
carried out by authorized specialist companies or by AREBOS.
The device was tested several times during production for proper functioning. Should malfunctions
nevertheless occur, check the device in the following list.
The device does not start:
•Check the power connection.
•Check the power cord and power plug for damage. If you notice damage, do not try to get the
device back up and running.
•If the mains connection line of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer
or his customer service or a similarly qualified person to avoid hazards.
•Check the on-site network protection.
•Check the room temperature. The room thermostat may have switched off because the

desired room temperature has been reached.
•The room thermostat may be defective. Have a defective room thermostat replaced by a
specialist electrical company.
•Check whether the overheat protection has triggered (see chapter Introduction and Safety
Instructions).
•Wait 10 minutes before restarting the device. If the device does not start, have an electrical
inspection carried out by a specialist company or by AREBOS.
The device is turned on, but it does not heat:
•Check the room temperature. The room thermostat may have switched off because the
desired room temperature has been reached.
•Check whether the overheating protection has triggered (see chapter Introduction and Safety
Instructions).
•The heating resistance may have burned through. Have a defective heating resistor replaced
by an electrician.
•The room thermostat may be defective. Have a defective room thermostat replaced by a
specialist electrical company.
The device does not respond to the infrared remote control:
•• Check if the distance from remote control to device is too large and reduce the distance if
necessary.
•Make sure there are no obstacles, such as furniture or walls, between the device and the
remote control. Pay attention to visual contact between the device and the remote control.
•Check the state of charge of the batteries and replace them if necessary.
•Check the batteries for the correct polarity if the batteries have just been replaced.
Hint! Wait at least 3 minutes after all maintenance and repair work. Only then turn the device back
on.
Your device is not working properly after the checks?
Contact customer service. If necessary, take the device to an authorized electrician or to AREBOS for
repair.

6Maintenance and cleaning
Activities before maintenance begins

•Turn off the device.
•Unplug the power cord from the power outlet by touching it on the power plug.
•Allow the device to cool completely.
Warning! from electrical voltage! Activities that require the opening of the device may only be
carried out by authorized specialist companies or by AREBOS.
Cleaning the housing
Warning! from electrical voltage! Never submerge the device under water!
Clean the case with a damp, soft, lint-free cloth. Make sure that no moisture penetrates into the
housing. Make sure that no moisture can come into contact with electrical components. Do not use
aggressive detergents, such as cleaning sprays, solvents, alcohol-containing cleaners, or abrasives to
moisten the cloth.
Wipe the housing dry after cleaning.
7Transport and storage
Hint! If you store or transport the device improperly, the device may be damaged. Observe the
information on the transport and storage of the device.
Transport
The device is equipped with transport rollers for easier transport.
The device is equipped with a handle for easier transport.
Please note the following before each transport:
•Turn off the device.
•Unplug the power cord from the power outlet by touching it on the power plug.
•Do not use the power cord as a pull cord.
•Allow the device to cool down sufficiently.
Storage
Observe the following instructions before each storage:
•Turn off the device.
•Unplug the power cord from the power outlet by touching it on the power plug.
•Allow the device to cool down sufficiently.
When not using the device, comply with the following storage conditions:
•dry and protected from frost and heat
•in an upright position in a place protected from dust and direct sunlight
•if necessary, protected from penetrating dust with a cover
•no other devices or objects on the device to avoid damage to the device
•Remove batteries from the remote control

9Environmentally friendly disposal
Warning! from the risk of suffocation! Packaging material is dangerous for children. Never let
children play with packaging material.
9.1 Disposal and packaging
•The packaging of your device is made of materials necessary to guarantee effective protection
during transport. These materials are fully recyclable and thus reduce the environmental
impact. Dispose of the packaging in a bin for recyclable materials.
9.2 Disposal of waste equipment
•Waste equipment must be disposed of in accordance with the guidelines and regulations of
local waste disposal. Contact your local administration via the address of the nearest recycling
centre and deliver your device there.
The symbol of the crossed-out waste bin on an OLD electrical or electronic
equipment states that it must not be disposed of in household waste at the end
of its service life. Collection points for WASTE electrical and electronic
equipment are available in your area for free returns. You can obtain the
addresses from your city or local government. You can inform yourself on our
website www.arebos.de about other return options created by us.
The separate collection of WEEE is intended to prevent reuse, recycling or other
forms of recovery of WEEE, as well as the negative consequences of disposal on
the environment and human health.
Note on battery disposal
The symbol of the crossed-out trash can on batteries or accumulators states that they must not be
disposed of in household waste at the end of their service life. If batteries or accumulators contain
mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead (Pb), you will find the respective chemical symbol below the
symbol of the crossed-out trash can. You are legally obliged to return old batteries and accumulators
after use. You can do this free of charge at the retail store or at another collection point in your area.
