Connect the sling loops or
clips to the spreader bar.

Place the sling around the
patient. For sling with head
support make sure it extends
to top of patient’s head.

Approach the lift. Place spreader
bar at shoulder level and close
enough to attach shoulder
straps.
Attach and secure the
clip at the lug before
patient is lifted.

Place attachment
loop on the hook.
Make sure that the
safety latch is
closed.

For the DPS spreader bar and clip sling,
tilt the spreader bar to attach the leg
clips.

Raise the patient.

Lower until no tension. Detach
loops or clips.
Move the patient.

straps.

Place and centre the sling
under the patient. For sling
with head support make
sure it extends to top of
patient’s head.

Position lift over the patient. Attach and secure the

Lower stretcher frame carefully and align
centre of frame with patients navel.
Attach all sling loops.

Raise and move the patient away
