ASTRAL POOL – VC10-SLX SET-UP & OPERATION MANUAL
1 From the MAIN MENU Screen
Press SET UP.
5 Press CHANGE.
2 Press RIGHT ARROW.
4 Enter PASSWORD 1234
Press DONE.
6 Press SET UP WIZARD.
3 Press INSTALLATION SET UP.
ASTRAL VIRON CONNECT 10 CONTROLLER (VC10-SLX)
Aqua-Quip’s VC10-SLX compatible pool lights
(marked “SUITS ASTRAL VIRON CONNECT” on the rear of the
pool light) can also be operated from a standard Wall Switch.
See attached sheet “Wall Switch Procedure”.
When operated from an Astral Viron Connect 10 Controller, follow the setup and
operating instructions below.

9 Select a name for Lighting Zone 2 (if needed)
If the lights for Zone 2 are Multi-Colour,
then check the “Zone supports multi-colour
lighting” box.
Press NEXT.
8 Select a name for Lighting Zone 1.
If the lights for Zone 1 are Multi-Colour,
check the “Zone supports multi-colour
lighting” box.
Press NEXT.
7 Select the number of lighting zones in your
installation (maximum = 4).
Then Press NEXT on the next 4 screens (as
they are unrelated to Lighting Setup), until
you reach the “Set Up – Channel 1 screen”.
Depending on what equipment is connected
and allocated to the various channels in your
installation, keep pressing NEXT until an
available (unused) Channel is displayed.
If you want to control lighting zones
independently (example: the pool is Blue and
the spa is Green) then you will need a separate
transformer per zone.
Each transformer will plug into an available
(unused) Channel on the Viron Connect 10.
If you have just one transformer, then all lights
connected to that transformer will display the
same colour.
Press NEXT.

Press NEXT.

11 In this case, Channel 3 is available
(unused), so Press LIGHTING.
Press NEXT.
15 Regardless of what colours are shown
in the Colour Box on the screen, you will
need to synchronise the Controller with
the Aqua-Quip VC10SLX lights.
16 Press all Lighting Zones ON.
Aqua-Quip VC10SLX lights will light
up Blue when turned on for the very
first time.
12 Select whether the transformer and pool
lights plugged into Channel 3 will be for
Pool or Spa. Press NEXT.
13 Select whether you are using fixed-colour
or multi-colour lights on Channel 3.
Press NEXT.
Repeat this set up procedure for following
subsequent channels (if needed).
Once the last Lighting Channel has been set up,
then EXIT all the way back to the Main Menu.
14 From the Main Menu screen, press
LIGHTING.

18 Then Press BLUE for all other Lighting
Zones. The Viron Connect 10 relays will
start switching the lights on/off. The lights
will not yet be synchronised.
19 Press the SYNC button for the Pool Zone
and then the other Zones (if any).
All the lights should then synchronise and
be displaying the BLUE colour.

Notes regarding Aqua-Quip’s emulation of the
Astral SLX Programming:
* Customised Colour feature is available, but
will have to be carried out manually, i.e unplug
the transformer from the Viron Connect 10
and plug it into a power point, follow the
instructions in the Viron Connect 10 manual
to set your customised colour.
** Customised Pattern and dimming feature
is not available – it has been replaced by
FIREWORKS mode.

20 Now that the lights are synchronised,
you can change the colour of the lights
in each zone.
ZONE ON/OFF COLOUR BOX SYNCH.
17 Press the Colour Box for the Pool Lighting
Zone, and an array of Fixed Colours and
Colour Show options will appear.
Press BLUE (top left).
