• Failure to respect the warnings may cause serious damage to the pool equipment or cause serious injury,

• Only a person quali ed in the technical  elds concerned (electricity, hydraulics or refrigeration) is authorised

to perform any servicing or repairs to the appliance. The quali ed technician working on the appliance must

use/wear personal protective equipment (such as safety goggles and protective gloves, etc.) in order to

reduce the risk of injury occurring when working on the appliance.

• Before handling the machine, ensure that the power is switched o and isolated from the power supply.

• The appliance is intended to be used for pools and spas for a speci c purpose; it must not be used for any

purpose other than that for which it was designed.

• This appliance is not intended for use by children.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children, aged 8 years and above) with reduced

physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless:

- they have been given supervision or instruction, by a person responsible for their safety,

concerning use of the appliance in a safe way by a person responsible for their safety; and

- they clearly understand the hazards involved.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• Cleaning and similar user maintenance shall not be made by children without adult supervision.

• The appliance must be installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions and in compliance with

local standards. The installer is responsible for installing the appliance and for compliance with national

installation regulations. Under no circumstances may the manufacturer be held liable in the event of failure

to comply with applicable local installation standards.

• For any work other than the simple user maintenance described in this manual, the product should be

referred to a quali ed professional.

• Incorrect installation and/or use may cause serious damage to property or serious injuries (possibly causing

death).

• All equipment, even postage and packing paid, travels at the risks and perils of the recipient. The latter

shall issue reserves in writing on the carrier’s delivery slip if damage is detected, caused during transport

(con rmation to be sent to the carrier within 48 hours by registered letter). In the event that an appliance

containing coolant has been turned on its side, mention your reservations in writing to the carrier.

• If the appliance su ers a malfunction, do not try to repair it yourself; instead contact a quali ed technician.

• Refer to the warranty conditions for details of the permitted water balance values for operating the appliance.

WARNINGS



WARNINGS ASSOCIATED WITH ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

• Deactivating, eliminating or by-passing any of the safety mechanisms integrated into the appliance shall

automatically void the warranty, in addition to the use of spare parts manufactured by unauthorised third-

party manufacturers.

• Do not spray insecticide or any other chemical (inammable or non-inammable) in the direction of the

appliance, as this may damage the body and cause a re.

• Do not touch the fan or moving parts and do not place any objects or your ngers in the vicinity of the

moving parts during operation of the appliance. Moving parts can cause serious injury or even death.

• The electrical supply to the appliance must be protected by a 30 mA dierential Residual Current protection

Device (RCD), complying with the standards and regulations in force in the country in which it is installed.

• Do not use any extension lead when connecting the appliance; connect the appliance directly to a suitable

power supply circuit.

• If a stationary appliance is not tted with a supply cord and a plug, or with other means for disconnection from

the supply mains having a contact separation in all poles that provide full disconnection under overvoltage

category III conditions, the instructions shall state that means for disconnection must be incorporated in the

xed wiring in accordance with the wiring rules.

• A Suitable disconnecting means, which complies with all local and national requirements for over-voltage

category III, and which disconnects all poles of the supply circuit, must be installed in the supply circuit to

the appliance. Such disconnecting means is not provided with the appliance and must be provided by the

installation professional.

• Before carrying out any operations, check that:

- The voltage indicated on the appliance information plate corresponds to the mains voltage.

- The power grid is adapted to the power requirements of the appliance, and is grounded.

- The plug (where applicable) is suitable for the socket.

• In the event of anormal operation or the release of unusual odours from the appliance, turn it o immediately,

unplug it from its power supply and contact a professional.

• Before any access to the appliance for service or maintenance, ensure that it is switched o and completely

disconnected from the power supply. Furthermore, in addition to conrming that the heating priority (where

applicable) is deactivated, ensure that any other equipment or accessories connected to the appliance are

also disconnected from the power supply circuit.

• Do not disconnect and reconnect the appliance to the power supply when in operation.

• Do not pull on the power cord to disconnect it from the power supply.

• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its technician or a qualied person

to guarantee safety.

• Do not perform maintenance or servicing operations on the appliance with wet hands or if the appliance is

wet.

• Before connecting the appliance to the source of supply, ensure that the terminal block or supply socket to

which the appliance will be connected is in good condition and is not damaged or corroded in any way.

• For any component or sub-assembly containing a battery: do not recharge or dismantle the battery, or throw

it into a re. Do not expose it to high temperatures or direct sunlight.

• In stormy weather, disconnect the appliance from the power supply to prevent it from suering lightning

damage.

• Do not immerse the appliance in water (with the exception of cleaners) or mud.

WARNINGS CONCERNING APPLIANCES CONTAINING R32 REFRIGERANT

• This device contains R32 refrigerant, a class A2L refrigerant, which is considered to be potentially ammable.

• Do not discharge R32 uid into the atmosphere. These are uorinated greenhouse eect gases, covered by

the Kyoto Protocol, with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) = 675 (EU Regulation No. 517/2014).

• In order to comply with relevant environmental and installations standards and regulations such as, but

not limited to, French decree No. 2015-1790 and/or the EU Regulation EU 517/2014, the cooling circuit

must be checked for leakage at least once a year. This operation must be carried out by a certied cooling

appliance specialist.

• The device must be stored in a ventilated place away from all sources of re.

• Install the unit outdoors. Do not install the unit indoors or in an enclosed, non-ventilated area outdoors.

• Do not use means to accelerate the defrosting process or to clean, other than those recommended by the

manufacturer.

• The appliance shall be stored in a room without continuously operating ignition sources (for example: open

ames, an operating gas appliance or an operating electric heater).

• Do not pierce or burn.

• Be aware that R32 refrigerants may not contain an odour.

INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE

• The appliance may not be installed close to combustible materials, or an air duct inlet of an adjacent building.

• With some appliances, it is essential to t protection grids if the unit is installed in an area with uncontrolled

access.

• During installation, troubleshooting and maintenance, pipes may not be used as steps: the pipe could break

under the weight, spilling coolant and possibly causing serious burns.

• When servicing the appliance, the composition and state of the heat transfer uid must be checked, as well

as the absence of any traces of coolant.

• During the appliance’s annual sealing test in accordance with applicable legislation, the high and low

pressure switches must be checked to ensure that they are securely fastened to the cooling circuit and that

they cut o the electrical circuit when tripped.

• During maintenance work, ensure there are no traces of corrosion or oil around the cooling components.

• Before beginning work on the cooling circuit, stop the appliance and wait for a few minutes before tting the

temperature and pressure sensors. Some elements such as the compressor and piping may reach temperatures

in excess of 100°C and high pressures with the consequent risk of severe burns.

TROUBLESHOOTING

• All soldering work must be carried out by a someone qualied to do so.

• Replacement pipes must always be made of copper in compliance with standard NF EN 12735-1.

• Leak detection, pressure test:

- never use oxygen or dry air (risk of re or explosion)

- use dry nitrogen or the mixture of nitrogen and coolant indicated on the information plate,

- the test pressure for both the high and low pressure circuits must not exceed 42 bar (for R 4 1 0 A ) ,

20 bar and 15 bar (for R407C) if the appliance is equipped with the optional pressure gauge.

• The high pressure circuit pipes are made of copper and have a diameter equal to or greater than 1’’5/8.

A certicate as indicated in §2.1 in compliance with standard NF EN 10204 will be requested from the

supplier and led with the facility’s technical documentation.

• Technical data relative to the safety requirements of the various applicable directives are indicated on

the information plate. All this information must be recorded in the appliance’s installation manual, which

must be kept in the its technical le: model, code, serial number, maximum and minimum OT, OP, year

of manufacture, CE marking, manufacturer’s address, coolant and weight, electrical parameters, thermo-

dynamic and acoustic performance.

MAINTENANCE : WARNINGS CONCERNING APPLIANCES CONTAINING R32

REFRIGERANT

Area check

• Prior to beginning work on systems containing ammable refrigerants, safety checks are necessary to ensure

that the risk of ignition is minimised.

Work procedure

• Work shall be undertaken under a controlled procedure so as to minimise the risk of a ammable gas or

vapour being present while the work is being performed.

General work area

• AIl maintenance sta and others working in the local area shall be instructed on the nature of work being

carried out. Work in conned spaces shall be avoided.

Check for the presence of refrigerant

• The area shall be checked with an appropriate refrigerant detector prior to and during work, to ensure the

technician is aware of potentially toxic or ammable atmospheres. Ensure that the leak detection equipment

being used is suitable for use with all applicable refrigerants, i.e. non-sparking, adequately sealed or

intrinsically safe.

Check for the presence of a re exnguisher

• If any work involving heat is to be conducted on the refrigerating equipment or any associated parts,

appropriate re extinguishing equipment shall be available to hand. Have a dry powder or CO2, re

extinguisher adjacent to the charging area.

No source of ignion

• No person carrying out work in relation to a refrigerating system which involves exposing any pipe work

shall use any sources of ignition in such a manner that it may lead to the risk of re or explosion. All

possible ignition sources, including cigarette smoking, should be kept suciently far away from the site

of installation, repairing, removing and disposal, during which refrigerant can possibly be released to the

surrounding space. Prior to work taking place, the area around the equipment is to be surveyed to make sure

that there are no ammable hazards or ignition risks. «No Smoking» signs shall be displayed.

Area venlaon

• Prior to penetrating the unit in any way to perform any required service, ensure that the area is open and

adequately ventilated. Proper ventilation, to allow for safe dispersion of any refrigerant which may be

inadvertently released to the atmosphere, should be maintained while service is being performed on the unit.

Refrigeraon equipment check

• The manufacturer’s service and maintenance guidelines must be followed at all times. When replacing any

electrical components, be sure to use only components which are of the same type and rating and which are

recommended/approved by the manufacturer. If in doubt, consult the manufacturer’s technical department

for assistance.

• The following checks shall be applied to installations using ammable refrigerants:

- if an indirect refrigerating circuit is being used, the secondary circuit shall be checked for the presence of

refrigerant;

- Marking to the equipment continues to be visible and legible. Markings and signs that are illegible shall

be corrected;

- refrigerating pipe or components are installed in a position where they are unlikely to de exposed to any

substance which may corrode refrigerant containing components, unless the components are constructed

of materials which are inherently resistant to being corroded or are suitably protected against being so

corroded.

Electrical component check

• Repair and maintenance to electrical components shall include initial safety checks and component inspection

procedures. If a fault exists that could compromise safety, then no electrical supply shall be connected to the

circuit until it is satisfactorily dealt with. If the fault cannot be corrected immediately but it is necessary to

continue operation, an adequate temporary solution shall be used. This shall be reported to the owner of the

equipment so all parties are advised.

• Initial safety checks shall include:

- that capacitors are discharged: this shall be done in a safe manner to avoid possibility of sparking;

- that no live electrical components and wiring are exposed while charging, recovering or purging the

system;

- that there is continuity of earth bonding.

Repair of insulated components

• During repairs to sealed components, all electrical supplies shall be disconnected from the equipment being

worked upon prior to any removal of sealed covers, etc. If it is absolutely necessary to have an electrical

supply to equipment during servicing, then a permanently operating form of leak detection shall be located

at the most critical point to warn of a potentially hazardous situation.

• Particular attention shall be paid to the following to ensure that by working on electrical components, the

casing is not altered in such a way that the level of protection is aected. This shall include damage to

cables, excessive number of connections, terminals not made to original specication, damage to seals,

incorrect tting of glands, etc.

• Ensure that the apparatus is mounted securely.

• Ensure that seals or sealing materials have not degraded to the point that they no longer serve the purpose

of preventing the ingress of ammable atmospheres. Replacement parts shall be in accordance with the

manufacturer’s specications.

Repair of intrinsically safe components

• Do not apply any permanent inductive or capacitance loads to the circuit without ensuring that this will not

exceed the permissible voltage and current permitted for the equipment in use.

• Intrinsically safe components are the only types that can be worked on while live in the presence of a

ammable atmosphere. The test apparatus shall be at the correct rating.

• Replace components only with parts specied by the manufacturer. Other parts may result in the ignition of

refrigerant in the atmosphere from a leak.

Wiring

• Check that cabling will not be subject to wear, corrosion, excessive pressure, vibration, sharp edges or any

other adverse environmental eects. The check shall also take into account the eects of aging or continual

vibration from sources such as compressors or fans.

Detecon of ammable refrigerant

• Under no circumstances shall potential sources of ignition be used in the searching for or detection of

refrigerant leaks. A halide torch (or any other detector using a naked ame) shall not be used.

• The following leak detection methods are deemed acceptable for all refrigerant systems.

• Electronic leak detectors may be used to detect refrigerant leaks but, in the ease of ammable refrigerants,

the sensitivity may not be adequate, or may need re-calibration. (Detection equipment shall be calibrated

in a refrigerant-tree area.) Ensure that the detector is not a potential source of ignition and is suitable for

the refrigerant used. Leak detection equipment shall be set at a percentage of the LFL of the refrigerant and

shall be calibrated to the refrigerant employed, and the appropriate percentage of gas (25% maximum} is

conrmed.

• Leak detection uids are also suitable for use with most refrigerants but the use of detergents containing

chlorine shall be avoided as the chlorine may react with the refrigerant and corrode the copper pipe-work.

• If a leak is suspected, all naked names shall be removed/extinguished.

• If a leakage of refrigerant is found which requires brazing. all of the refrigerant shall be recovered from the

system. or isolated (by means of shut o valves} in a part of the system remote from the leak.

Removal and discharge

• When breaking into the refrigerant circuit to make repairs - or for any other purpose - conventional

procedures shall be used. However, for ammable refrigerants it is important that best practice is followed

since ammability Is a consideration. The following procedure shall be adhered to:

- remove refrigerant;

- purge the circuit with inert gas (optional for A2L);

- evacuate (optional for A2L);

- purge with inert gas (optional for A2L);

- open the circuit by cutting or brazing.

• The refrigerant charge shall be recovered into the correct recovery cylinders. For appliances containing

ammable refrigerants other than A2L refrigerants, the system shall be purged with oxygen-free nitrogen

to render the appliance safe for ammable refrigerants. This process may need to be repeated several times.

Compressed air or oxygen shall not be used for purging refrigerant systems.

Loading procedures

• Ensure that the outlet tor the vacuum pump is not close to any potential ignition sources and that ventilation

is available.

• In addition to conventional charging procedures, the following requirements shall be followed.

- Ensure that contamination of dierent refrigerants does not occur when using charging equipment. Hoses

or lines shall be as short as possible to minimise the amount of refrigerant contained in them.

- Cylinders shall be kept in an appropriate position according to the instructions.

- Ensure that the refrigerating system is earthed prior to charging the system with refrigerant.

- Label the system when charging is complete (if not already).

- Extreme care shall be taken not to overll the refrigerating system.

• Prior to recharging the system, it shall be pressure-tested with the appropriate purging gas. The system shall

be leak-tested on completion of charging but prior to commissioning. A follow up leak test shall be carried

out prior to leaving the site.

Dismantling

• Before carrying out this procedure, it is essential that the technician is completely familiar with the equipment

and all its detail. It is recommended good practice that all refrigerants are recovered safely. Prior to the task

being carried out, an oil and refrigerant sample shall be taken in case analysis is required prior to re-use of

recovered refrigerant. It is essential that electrical power is available before the task is commenced.

1. Become familiar with the equipment and its operation.

2. Isolate system electrically.

3. Before attempting the procedure, ensure that:

- mechanical handling equipment is available. if required. for handling refrigerant cylinders;

- all personal protective equipment is available and being used correctly:

- the recovery process is supervised at all times by a competent person;

- recovery equipment and cylinders conform to the appropriate standards.

4. Pump down refrigerant system, if possible.

5. If a vacuum is not possible, make a manifold so that refrigerant can be removed from various parts of the

system

6. Make sure that cylinder is situated on the scales before recovery takes place.

7. Start the recovery machine and operate in accordance with instructions.

8. Do not overll cylinders (no more than 80 % volume liquid charge).

9. Do not exceed the maximum working pressure of the cylinder, even temporarily.

10. When the cylinders have been lled correctly and the process completed, make sure that the cylinders and

the equipment are removed from site promptly and alt isolation valves on the equipment are closed o.

11. Recovered refrigerant shall not be charged into another refrigerating system unless it has been cleaned

and checked.

LABELLING

• Equipment shall be labelled stating that it has been decommissioned and emptied of refrigerant.

• The label shall be dated and signed.

• For appliances containing ammable refrigerants, ensure that there are labels on the equipment stating the

equipment contains ammable refrigerant.

RECOVERING

• When removing refrigerant from a system. either for servicing or decommissioning, it is recommended

good practice that all refrigerants are removed safely.

• When transferring refrigerant into cylinders, ensure that only appropriate refrigerant recovery cylinders

are employed. Ensure that the correct number of cylinders for holding the total system charge is available.

All cylinders to be used are designated for the recovered refrigerant and labelled for that refrigerant (i.e.

special cylinders for the recovery of refrigerant). Cylinders shall be complete with pressure-relief valve and

associated shut-o valves in good working order. Empty recovery cylinders are evacuated and. if possible.

cooled before recovery occurs.

• The recovery equipment shall be in good working order with a set of instructions concerning the equipment

that is at hand and shall be suitable for the recovery of all appropriate refrigerants including, when applicable,

ammable refrigerants. In addition, a set of calibrated weighing scales shall be available and in good working

order. Hoses shall be complete with leak-free disconnect couplings and in good condition. Before using the

recovery machine, check that it is in satisfactory working order, has been properly maintained and that any

associated electrical components are sealed to prevent ignition in the event of a refrigerant release. Consult

manufacturer it in doubt.

• The recovered refrigerant shall be returned to the refrigerant supplier in the correct recovery cylinder, and

the relevant waste transfer note arranged. Do not mix refrigerants in recovery units and especially not in

cylinders.

• If compressors or compressor oils are to be removed. ensure that they have been evacuated to an acceptable

level to make certain that ammable refrigerant does not remain within the lubricant. The evacuation

process shall be carried out prior to returning the compressor to the suppliers. Only electric heating to the

compressor body shall be employed to accelerate this process. When all is drained from a system, it shall

be carried out safely.

RECYCLING

This symbol means that your appliance must not be thrown into a normal bin. It will be selecvely collected for

the purpose of reuse, recycling or transformaon. Any substances it may contain which are potenally dangerous

to the environment shall be eliminated or neutralised. Request informaon on recycling procedures from your

retailer.

1.Performance and installation

1.1Location of heat pump installation

The unit will perform well on any location provided three factors are present:

1. Fresh air - 2. Electricity - 3. Pool lter piping

The unit may be installed virtually anywhere outdoors providing minimum distance requirements are met

with respect to other objects (see diagram below).For indoor pools please consult your installer. If the unit

is placed in a windy area, no problems occur with e.g. the pilot light, as opposed to what is often the case

with gas heaters.

Attention: Do not place the unit in an enclosed area with a limited air volume where the unit’s discharged

air will be re-circulatedor near shrubs that could block the air inlet. These locations deny the unit a

continuous fresh air supply, which reduces its eciency and may prevent adequate heat yield.

See diagram below for minimum required distances.

- Do not put your hands or any other object into the air outlet and fan. It could damage the heat pump and

cause injuries.

- In case any abnormality was found in the heat pump, please cut off the power at once and contact a

professional technician.

- It is strongly suggested to place a guard around the machine to keep children away from the heat pump.

Cautions

1.2 Pool system set up

1.3 Warning :

- Do not place your hand or any other objects into the air outlet and fan. It could damage the heat

pump and cause injuries;

- In case of any abnormality with the heat pump, cut off the power immediately and contact a

professional technician;

It is strongly advised to place a protective guard around the unit to keep children away from the heat-

pump. An authorized electrician must connect the Heat Pump to the power. (230V 1ph or 400V 3ph)

Important—Although the heat pump is electrically isolated from the rest of the unit, this only

prevents the passage of electricity to or from the pool water. Grounding the unit is still required to

protect yourself from short circuits inside the unit. Make for adequate ground connection.

Check if the electrical mains voltage corresponds with the operating voltage of the heat pump prior to

hooking up the unit.

Technical Specications

1.4 First time start-up :

Note- In order for the unit to heat the pool (or spa), the lter pump must be running so that the

water can circulate through the heat pump. Without this circulation, the heat pump will not

start.

When all connections have been made and checked, the following steps should be followed:

1). Turn on the lter pump. Check for leaks.

2). Turn on the electrical power supply to the unit, then press the ON/OFF key on the electronic

control

panel. The unit should start when the time delay period has elapsed.

3). When the unit has been running for a couple of minutes, check if the air leaving the unit is cooler

than the ambient temp.

4). Check the performance of the ow switch as follows: with the unit running turn the lter pump o.

The unit should also switch o automatically.

5). The unit and the lter pump should run 24 hours a day until the desired pool water temperature has

been reached. Once the set temperature is reached, the unit will switch itself o. As long as the lter

pump is running, the unit will restart automatically when the temperature of the pool water drops more

than 1°C below the set temperature.

Depending on the starting temperature of the pool water and the air temperature, it can take several

days for the water to reach the desired temperature. Covering the pool can drastically reduced this

period.

Water ow switch—the unit is equipped with a ow switch that is switched on when enough water

has owed through the unit and that is switched o when the water ow becomes too low. (E.g. When

the lter pump is switched o).

Time delay— the unit is equipped with a built-in 3-minute start delay included to protect electrical

components and contacts. After this time delay, the unit will automatically be restarted. Even a brief

interruption of the power supply will activate the start delay and prevent the unit from starting imme-

diately. Additional interruptions of the power supply during the delay period will have no eect on the

3-minute countdown.

2. Operation of heat pump

2.1 Operation of control display

When heat pump is supplied with power, controller will display with full screen, shows that it is

already connected. If connection fails in 10 seconds, please check connections between communica-

tion cable and control display, or replace with another control display.

Button functions:

button: ON/OFF switch to start or stop heat pump.

TIMER button:Timer button to set timer on and timer o.

MODE button: To switch between heating, cooling and auto mode.

To enter parameter settings and conrm settings.

“+” “-” button: To increase or decrease value.

Note: 1. Heat pump is not equipped with electric heater internally, only provides terminal for

external connection.

2. Fan speed is automatically controlled by ambient temperature, not manually.

2.1.1 Key pad lock

Press « + » and « - » button together for 5 seconds, display will show lock icon. Do this again to

unlock.

2.2. Operation of EVOLine AstralPool APP controller

2.2.1 working principle of API control

Requirements for Android System:

1. System version above 2.3.7 (2.3.7 not included).

2. Resolution 480*800 and above.

3. APK 40M and above; TF card or Build-in-storage.

4. Requiring the system to have remaining 100MB of storage

Requirements for iPhone iOS System:

1. For iOS system version 8x and above.

2.For iPhone 4s and latter ones.

3. At least 40M of storage remaining in the phone.

Start the heat pump and press button «-» and button

«TIMER» on the control display together for 3 seconds

to activate the control display WIFI. WIFI icon starts

blinking and search the WIFI nearby.

3. Direction

3.1 Swimming pool water chemistry

Special attention should be paid to the chemical balance of the pool water. The pool water values

should always stay within the following limits:

Important: failure to comply with these limits will invalidate the warranty.

Note: exceeding one or several limits can damage the heat pump beyond repair. Always install

water-treatment equipment (e.g. chemical dosing systems) after the water outlet of the heat

pump, especially if the chemicals are automatically added to the water (e.g. automatic chemical

dosing systems).

A check valve should also be installed between the outlet of the heat pump and the

water-treatment equipment to prevent products from owing back into the heat pump if the

lter pump stops.

3.2 Heat pump winterizing

Important: failure to take the necessary precautions for winterizing can damage the heat pump,

which will invalidate the warranty.

The heat pump, lter pump, lter and conduits must be protected in areas where the temperature can

drop below freezing point. Evacuate ail water from the heat pumps as follows:

1. Disconnect the electrical power supply to the heat pump.

2. Close the water supply to the heat pump completely.

3. Disconnect water inlet and outlet coupling ttings of the heat pump and let the water drain out of

the unit. Make sure ail water is out of the heat pump.

4. Loosely reattach water inlet and outlet coupler ttings to the heat pump in order to prevent dirt

from setting into the conduits.

Note: these precautions should not be taken ifyou choose to use the built-in anti-frost protection.

3.3 Restarting the pump after winter

If you emptied the heat pump for winterising, follow the steps below to restart it in spring:

l . First check that there is no dirt in the conduits and that there are no structural problems.

2.Check that the water inlet and outlet fittings are adequately fastened. Check that «water inlet»

and «water outlet» are correct according to the Jables on the heat pump. (Water out from the lter

unit = water inlet on heat pump)

3. Start the filter pump to start the water flow to the heat pump. Adjust the by-pass so there is

enough water through the heat pump. Normally on small filter system the by-pass can be closed,

so ail circulated water goes through the heat pump.

4. Reconnect the electrical power supply to the heat pump and turn the heat pump ON.

4. Maintenance an inspection

4.1 Maintenance

√ Check the water inlet and drainage often. The water and air inow into the system should be su-

cient so that its performance and reliability does not get compromised. You should clean the pool lter

regularly to avoid damage to the unit caused by clogging of the lter.

√ The area around the unit should be spacious and well ventilated. Clean the sides of the heat pump

regularly to maintain good heat exchange and to save energy.

√ Check if all processes in the unit are operational and pay special attention to the operation pressure

of the refrigerant system.

√ Check the power supply and cable connections regularly. Should the unit begin to function abnormally or

should you notice a smell from an electrical component, arrange fro timely repair or replacement.

√ You should also purge the water of the unit thoroughly and completely ll the system with water

before turning it on again afterwards.

Please, follow maintenance instruction for refrigerant gas according to Regulation (EU) No 517/2014

4.2 Trouble shooting guide

Incorrect installation may result in an electrical charge that could lead to death or serious injury of

users, installers or others by electrical shock and it may also cause damage to heat pump.

DO NOT attempt to modify the internal conguration of the heat pump.

1. Keep your hands and hair clear of the fan blades to avoid injury.

2. If you are not familiar with your pool ltration system and heat pump:

a) Do not attempt to carry out any adjustment or service without consulting your dealer, pool

professional or air conditioning contractor.

b) Read the entire installation manual before attempting to use, service or make adjustements to the

unit.

c) Wait for 24 hours afer the installation before start the heat pump to prevent damage to the compressor;

(if the heat pump has been transported and carried all the time with the feet down, it can be started

immediately).

Note: Switch o the power before carrying out any maintenance or repairs.

Problem: the heat pump doesn’t work

Observation: the screen does not light up and the fan/compressor doesn’t make a sound

Problem: the heat pump works normally but there is not or insucient heating

Cover the pool to limit heat loss.

2. The compressor works but the fan doesn’t 2. Check the electrical wiring of the fan. Replace the condenser

or the fan motor if necessary.

3. The fan works but the compressor doesn’t 3. Check the electrical wiring of the compressor.

Replace condenser or compressor if necessary.

4. The heat pump has not been placed on an optimal location 4. Make for sucient air circulation (see manual for details)

5. Faulty temperature settings 5. Set the correct temperature

6. By-pass not adjusted 6. Have the by_pass readjusted by the installer

7. Massive ice formation on the evaporator 7. Have the settings for automatic defrost control checked by

Problem: the heat pump doesn’t stop

1.Wrong setting of parameters 1. Check the set parameters and adjust them if necessary

(settingsjust above the capacity of the heat pump)

2. Pressure switch out of order

2. Check operation of the pressure switch by turning o the lter

pump and restarting it. If the heat pump doesn’t react to this, the

pressure switch must be adjusted or replaced.

3. Electrical failure 3. Contact your installer

Problem: water leak

Observation: there’s an amount of water under the heat pump

Possible cause Solution

1. Condensation due to atmospheric humidity 1. No action required

2. Try to localize the leak and check for the presence of cblorine

in the water. Ifthat is the case , the heat pump must be temporarily

replaced during repair.

Problem: abnormal amount of ice formed on the evaporator

Observation: the evaporator is for the most part covered in ice
