Set-Up Guide
August DVB400 Single-Tuner Set Top Box

Check You Have
All the
Components
•DVB400 Set Top Box
•HDMI Cable
•Instruction Manual
•Remote Control
•Batteries
•UK / EU Plug

Connecting
your Device
Connect the Power Adapter
to a mains outlet and the
rear of the DVB400

Connecting
your Device OR
Connect the HDMI or SCART
to the DVB415 and to your
TV / Display

Connecting
your Device
Connect an aerial cable to
the RF IN port to receive
signal from your aerial
No Aerial Cables need to
connect to your TV!

Insert the batteries into the remote and Power
On the Set Top Box

The Device will launch the Installation Guide
Make sure Language
is Correct and Press
"Channel Search"

Wait for the scan to complete

Set Up Recording with a USB
Insert a USB Stick
(Minimum 32GB) or
External Hard Drive
(Maximum 1TB) into
the front of the box
Press the Menu
Button
This menu will open

Navigate to the
Media Player Menu
and Down to PVR
Settings
Now Select Recording
Device and Check
Your Device Appears

If you see "USB Device Not
Found" you may need to
reformat the USB device,
change to a different
USB device, or re-insert the
device

Navigate back to the Media
Player and PVR Settings menu
then select "Format"
This is where you can scroll
between NTFS and FAT32. If
recording for longer periods or a
recording fails, reformat the
drive to NTFS

You can now use the REC button
to Record live or scheduled TV!
