HD400DSC
This product is a professional 18G HDMI
Extender which consists a transmitter and a
receiver. The extender adopts DSC compression
technology to extend 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 HDMI
video to distance up to 40 meters (131 feet) and
1080p@60Hz video to distances up to 70 meters
(230 feet) over a single CATx cable. It supports
bi-directional IR and RS232 pass-through to
control source or display devices remotely.

compliant with lower standards.

resolution up to 4K@60Hz 4:4:4, HDR.

SAFETY OPERATION GUIDE
In order to guarantee the reliable operation of the equipment and safety of the
user, please abide by the following procedures in installation, use and
maintenance:
1. The system must be earthed properly. Please do not use two blade plugs
and ensure the AC power supply ranges from 100v to 240v and from 50Hz
to 60Hz.
2. Do not install the switcher in an environment where it will be exposed to
extreme hot or cold temperatures.
3. This unit will generate heat during operation, please ensure that you allow
adequate ventilation to ensure reliable operation.
4. Please disconnect the unit from mains power if it will be left unused for a
long period of time.
5. Please DO NOT try to open the casing of the equipment, DO NOT attempt to
repair the unit. Opening the unit will void the warranty. There are high
voltage components in the unit and attempting to repair the unit could result
in serious injury.
6. Do not allow the unit to come into contact with any liquid as that could result
in personal injury and or product failure.

1. Introduction
1.1. Introduction to the HD400DSC
This HD400DSC is a professional 18G HDMI Extender, which consists a transmitter
and a receiver. The extender adopts DSC compression technology to extend
4K@60Hz 4:4:4 HDMI video to distance up to 40 meters (131 feet) and
1080p@60Hz video to distances up to 70 meters (230 feet) over a single CATx
cable. It supports bi-directional IR and RS232 pass-through to control source or
display devices remotely. It also supports CEC pass-through. Moreover, Power over
HDBaseT (PoH) feature allows the transmitter or receiver to be powered by each
other over the CATx cable.

3. Product Appearance of HD400DSC
3.1 HD400DSCT Panel Description
1. Power LED: The LED illuminates green when power is applied and is off when
no power is present.
2. HDCP LED: The LED illuminates blue when there is HDMI video traffic with
HDCP. It will blink blue when there is HDMI video traffic without HDCP and will
be off when there is no HDMI video traffic.
3. Link LED: The LED illuminates blue when there is a valid HDBaseT connection
with the receiver. The LED is off when there is no valid link.
4. HDMI In LED: The LED illuminates blue when there is HDMI video input.
5. Switch for determining the behavior of the RS232 connection:
⚫RS232: When in the position, it serves as an RS232 serial extension.
⚫FW Update: When in the position, it allows you to update the firmware by
connecting to a PC and running the batch file. Please contact your distributor
for more details.
6. HDBT Out: RJ45 port to connect the HDBT In port of receiver by CATx cable.
The left HDCP LED illuminates green when the video contains HDCP content.
The right Link LED illuminates orange when there is a valid HDBaseT link
between the transmitter and the receiver.
7. HDMI In: Type-A female HDMI input port to connect an HDMI source device.
8. RS232: 3-pin terminal block to connect the RS232 control device (e.g. PC) or a
third-party device to be controlled.
9. IR In: 3.5mm mini jack to connect IR receiver or IR system for IR pass-through.
10. IR Out: 3.5mm mini jack to connect IR emitter for IR pass-through.
11. DC 24V: Locking power port for 24V DC power adapter connection.

3.2 HD400DSCR Panel Description
1. Power LED: The LED illuminates green when power is applied and is off when
