Whenyouplaceacamerainthedockingstation,thedockingstationchargesthecamera’sbattery,andthecameraconnectstothe
system.Thesystemcontrollerthenseamlesslytransfersalldatafromthecameratothecontentdestinationofyourchoice.The
systemcontrolleralsokeepsthecamerasup-to-datewiththelatestrmwareandsettings,andmonitorsthehealthoftheAxis
bodywornsolution.
Thesystemissupportedbydifferenttypesofcontentdestinationssuchasevidencemanagementsystems(EMS),videomanagement
systems(VMS),andmediaservers.YoucanusetheBodyWornIntegrationAPItointegratewithanythirdpartyVMSorEMS.

-Selectthepowerlinefrequencythatisusedinyourregion.Withtherightfrequency,thereislessimageicker.
TheAmericanregionsusuallyuse60Hz.Therestoftheworldmostlyuses50Hz.Ifyou'renotsureofyour
region'spowerlinefrequency,checkwiththelocalauthorities.
-Youcanassigncamerastousersintwoways.WithFixedcameraassignmenteveryuserismanuallyassignedto
aspeciccamera.WithSelf-assignthecamerausertapsaself-assigntagonanRFIDreader,connectedtothe
system,topickupanyavailablecamera.ItisnotpossibletoswitchbetweenFixedandSelf-assignwithout
resettingthesystem.WithSelf-assignyoucanassignuserstocameraslocallyorgloballyinthesystem.This

Axisdevicessendtheinitiallysetpasswordincleartextoverthenetwork.Toprotectyourdeviceaftertherstlogin,set
upasecureandencryptedHTTPSconnectionandthenchangethepassword.
Thedevicepasswordistheprimaryprotectionforyourdataandservices.Axisdevicesdonotimposeapasswordpolicyasthey
maybeusedinvarioustypesofinstallations.
Toprotectyourdatawestronglyrecommendthatyou:

YoucanalsoincludeRFIDsforeachuser.Thismeansthatifyou’reusingself-assigncameraassignment,youcanassociateRFID
tagswithalltheusersatonce,insteadofpairingeachself-assigntagindividually.
