1.GotoSettings>System>Orientationandcick.
2.Adjustthecameramechanicayuntithepositionofthereferenceareaorobject,isaignedwiththeeveingguide.

1.GotoSettings>Image>ocusandcickShowAarea.
2.Adjusttheautofocusareatocoverthepartoftheimagethatyouwanttobeinfocus.
Ifyoudon’tseectanautofocusarea,thecamerafocusesontheentirescene.Werecommendthatyoufocusona
staticobject.
3.CickAutofocus.
4.Tonetunethefocus,usethefocussider.
Selectexposremode
Therearedifferentexposuremodeoptionsinthecamerathatadjustsaperture,shutterspeed,andgaintoimproveimagequaityfor
specicsurveiancescenes.GotoSettings>Image>Exposureandseectbetweenthefoowingexposuremodes:
•Formostusecases,seectAutomaticexposure.
•Forenvironmentswithcertainarticiaighting,forexampeuorescentighting,seectlicker-free.
Seectthesamefrequencyasthepowerinefrequency.
•Forenvironmentswithcertainarticiaightandbrightight,forexampeoutdoorswithuorescentightingatnightand
sunduringdaytime,seectlicker-reduced.
Seectthesamefrequencyasthepowerinefrequency.
•Toockthecurrentexposuresettings,seectHoldcurrent.
OptimizeIRillmination
Dependingontheinstaationenvironmentandtheconditionsaroundthecamera,forexampeexternaightsourcesinthescene,
youcansometimesimprovetheIRiuminationifyoumanuayadjusttheintensityoftheLED’s.
1.GotoSettings>Image>Dayandnight,andturnonAllowillumination.
2.TurnonLiveviewcontrol.
3.MinimizeSettings.
4.Intheiveviewcontrobar,cicktheIlluminationbutton,turnonIRlightandseectManual.

Yourcamerausesvisibeighttodeivercoorimagesduringtheday.Astheavaiabeightdiminishes,youcansetthecamerato
automaticayshifttonightmode,inwhichthecamerausesbothvisibeightandnear-infraredighttodeiverback-and-white
images.Sincethecamerausesmoreoftheavaiabeightitcandeiverbrighter,moredetaied,images.
1.GotoSettings>Image>Dayandnight,andmakesurethattheIRcutlterissettoAuto.
2.Todetermineatwhatighteveyouwantthecameratoshifttonightmode,settheDay-nightshiftprioritytoDay,
NightorNone.
3.EnabeAllowIRilluminationandSynchronizeIRilluminationtousethecamera’sIRightwhennightmodeisactivated.

Toreducenoiseinow-ightconditions,youcanadjustoneormoreofthefoowingsettings:
•Settheexposuremodetoautomatic.

Ahighmaxshuttervauecanresutinmotionbur.
•Tosowdowntheshutterspeed,setmaxshuttertothehighestpossibevaue.
•Reducesharpnessintheimage.
•Setthemaxgaintoaowervaue.

Toreducemotionburinow-ightconditions,adjustoneormoreofthefoowingsettingsinSettings>Image>Exposure:
•SetExposuremodetoAutomaticandturnonMotion-adaptiveexposure.

Motion-adaptiveexposureworksbestwhenyoumovetheBlur-noisetrade-offsiderfuytowardLownoise.
•MovetheBlur-noisetrade-offsidertowardLowmotionblur.
Note
Whenyouincreasethegain,imagenoiseasoincreases.
•SetMaxshuttertoashortertime,andMaxgaintoahighervaue.
Ifyoustihaveprobemswithmotionbur:
•Increasetheighteveinthescene.
•Mountthecamerasothatobjectsmovetowarditorawayfromitratherthansideways.
Handlesceneswithstrongbacklight
Dynamicrangeisthedifferenceinightevesinanimage.Insomecasesthedifferencebetweenthedarkestandthebrightest
areascanbesignicant.Theresutisoftenanimagewhereeitherthedarkorthebrightareasarevisibe.Widedynamicrange
(WDR)makesbothdarkandbrightareasoftheimagevisibe.
