Therearedifferentexposuremodeoptionsinthecamerathatadjustsaperture,shutterspeed,andgaintoimproveimagequaityfor

•Formostusecases,seectAutomaticexposure.
•Forenvironmentswithcertainarticiaighting,forexampeuorescentighting,seectlicker-free.
Seectthesamefrequencyasthepowerinefrequency.
•Forenvironmentswithcertainarticiaightandbrightight,forexampeoutdoorswithuorescentightingatnightand
sunduringdaytime,seectlicker-reduced.
Seectthesamefrequencyasthepowerinefrequency.
•Toockthecurrentexposuresettings,seectHoldcurrent.
OptimizeIRillmination
Dependingontheinstaationenvironmentandtheconditionsaroundthecamera,forexampeexternaightsourcesinthescene,
youcansometimesimprovetheIRiuminationifyoumanuayadjusttheintensityoftheLED’s.

automaticayshifttonightmode,inwhichthecamerausesbothvisibeightandnear-infraredighttodeiverback-and-white
images.Sincethecamerausesmoreoftheavaiabeightitcandeiverbrighter,moredetaied,images.

areascanbesignicant.Theresutisoftenanimagewhereeitherthedarkorthebrightareasarevisibe.Widedynamicrange
(WDR)makesbothdarkandbrightareasoftheimagevisibe.

TheStreamtabcontainssettingsforvideostreams.Yougetthesesettingsifyourequestavideostreamfromtheproductanddon’t
specifyforexamperesoution,orframerate.WhenyouchangethesettingsintheStreamtab,itdoesn’taffectongoingstreams,but
itwitakeeffectwhenyoustartanewstream.

themorebandwidthyouneed.Youareguaranteedconstantimagequaitybutitrequiresstoragemargins.
Maximumbitrate(MBR)
Withmaximumbitrate,youcansetatargetbitratetohandebitrateimitationsinyoursystem.Youmayseeadecineinimage
quaityorframeratewhentheinstantaneousbitrateiskeptbeowthespeciedtargetbitrate.Youcanchoosetoeitherprioritize
imagequaityorframerate.Werecommendthatyoucongurethetargetbitratetoahighervauethantheexpectedbitrate.This

Withaveragebitrate,thebitrateisautomaticayadjustedoveraongertimescae.Thisissoyoucanmeetthespeciedtargetand
providethebestvideoquaitybasedonyouravaiabestorage.Bitrateishigherinsceneswithaotofactivity,comparedtostatic
scenes.Youaremoreikeytogetbetterimagequaitywhenneededwhenusingtheaveragebitrateoption.Youcandenethetota
storagerequiredtostorethevideostreamforaspeciedamountoftime(retentiontime)whenimagequaityisadjustedtomeetthe
speciedtargetbitrate.Specifytheaveragebitratesettingsinoneofthefoowingways:
•Tocacuatetheestimatedstorageneed,setthetargetbitrateandtheretentiontime.
•Tocacuatetheaveragebitrate,basedonavaiabestorageandrequiredretentiontime,usethetargetbitratecacuator.
